three: Financial Analysts from Citibank predicts that the Nigerian stock market will rally if Buhari loses...
Nigeria’s stock market may rally if President Muhammadu Buhari loses this weekend’s election, according to analysts at Citigroup, ending a run that’s seen it fall more than any other in the world in dollar terms since the 76-year-old former general came to office in May 2015. Some foreign investors would prefer a government led by Buhari’s main challenger, businessman and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar. But while the 72-year-old has pledged to privatize state assets and float the naira, many are skeptical and point to his reputation for corruption.
DWJOBScom: A Federal High Court sitting in Calabar, Monday, sacked the All Progressive Congress factional governorship candidate, Senator John Owan-Enoh and other candidates of the party currently recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The court also sacked the factional leadership of the party led by Mr. John Ochalla, which is loyal to Owan-Enoh.
In a two-hour judgment delivered by Hon Justice Simon A Amobeda, the court ordered that “INEC should only receive and accept the names and candidates for the 2019 elections that emerged from the lawful executive led by Godwin Etim John.”
It also ordered that persons parading themselves as the executive members of the APC in Cross River State should forthwith, cease and that the lawful executive of APC in Cross River State remains that which is led by Godwin Etim John.
Speaking with newsmen on the judgement, counsel to the claimants, Ayei Okpa, explained that “the judgment clearly is in support of the rule of law as it also supports the yearning of the common man,” adding that, “once a judgment is delivered in a court of law, everyone affected by that judgment is supposed and ought to comply with the said judgment and that is what this court today, has confirmed.”
Making more clarifications on the said judgment, Okpa said: “INEC is to use and publish only the names that emerged from the lawful executive and not any other name that emerged from any other executive in Cross River State APC.”
He said he will ensure that the electoral body complies with the court judgement, adding, “if INEC refuses, the judgment will be enforced against INEC to ensure compliance.”
According to the learned counsel, “the court has every power under its disciplinary jurisdiction to undo what has been done unlawfully and the electoral act commands INEC to obey section 155 of the electoral act to obey where the court gives an order,” pointing out that “INEC has every reason to comply with that order, what INEC did by publishing unlawful names is unlawful.”
Reacting to the judgement, Ntufam Godwin Etim John said: “I am very satisfied with the court ruling. I am not surprised with the judgment because there is no way from my layman’s understanding of law that you will disobey court injunction, ruling or judgement and expect you can go anywhere and get a contrary judgment.
“From day one I was victorious in my congresses and God is proving it day by day and court to court, that whatever was done was right, people are just trying to cheat us but God and the law of the land is on our side.”
The whole world is moving from Leeps and Bounds nigerians are foolishly moving from one party to another more useless party, taking part subtly in charade of their own future destruction. The shout of Sai Baba and Atikulation today is a serious regret tomorrow because this two have no plan for yall. If they do they will be eager to offload their agenda at the public debates they failed to attend out of contempt for yall suckered voters. What I failed to understand under this circumstance is that, inspite of this serious matter, disorderly Nigerians still follow follow this worthless people. God has given Nigerians the opportunity to change the narrative by u our own volition, but if we fail this time around posterity will never forgive us. Vote wisely.

bilms: Kwara inspired Otoge takes over Nigeria - MrRights
The wind of Otoge movement (Enough is Enough) in Kwara State is currently blowing all across Nigeria to an extent that other opposition states in the country are adopting the slogan to advance their quest for freedom and political emancipation.
After the 2015 election, Leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara popularly known as Kwara Must Change (KMC) has been leading the charge to liberate Kwara State from oppression and the grip of Bukola Saraki led dynasty.
The group, along with others did a lot in terms of creating massive sensitization and the result is the unrivaled awareness of the people of Kwara, giving birth to the OTOGE movement.
Since the adoption of OTOGE as the slogan by All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, the ruling dynasty has been running here and there to slow down the unstoppable growth of the opposition, but like a moving train, the OTOGE movement is unstoppable until victory is attained.
At first, it was just Kwarans in different state of the federation that are joining the political revolution back home by hosting their own rally in their respective states of residence such as Lagos, Kaduna, Abuja, Portharcourt and others.
However, the potency of OTOGE (Enough is Enough) has now moved beyond Kwara and Kwarans alone. Other states are now adopting the Kwara inspired OTOGE as a political slogan to signify the resolution of their people to take over their states.
In Delta State for example, analysts argued that, it is no longer about ‘whether APC and Chief Great Ogboru can deliver’; it is now about the ‘quality of what Ogboru will deliver to the good people of Delta State’.
In a recent article titled Otoge land in Delta, Constitutional Lawyer, Felix Eshalomi stated that the whirlwind of ‘OTOGE’ rents the air all over Nigeria; a chant meaning ‘Enough is Enough’ popularised by Kwara State APC governorship candidate Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
A taste of something new; something better; something refined – Ogboru offers all and tops it up with a taste of quality. Therefore in Delta State, we also say ‘Enough is Enough’ OTOGE! He said.
While Deltans are chanting OTOGE, despite being a non-Yoruba speaking state, Gombe State in North East also joined the OTOGE chanting state to express their solidarity with Kwara eminent freedom.
As Kwarans prepare for this historic victory against political oppression of the Saraki dynasty, I foresee a future where OTOGE shall be the reference point of every state of the federation in their quest for political victory emancipation.
Abdulrazaq O Hamzat is the president of Kwara Must Change
Otoge can be equated with the English version as "TAKE IT BACK". It has got to a stage in the history of Nigeria that emancipation from colonial mentality, corruption, nepotism, misrule, indiscipline, indecency......must definitely come to an end. Nigerians as a people must realise they have power that is beyond Buhari and Atiku corruption baggages. They have a new franchise they can cultivate and grow to their taste and likeness. That is only possible through one honest goal getter party AAC Lead by Omoyele Showore who is yet to be implicated by any corruption or dealing with corrupt people (by their works will you know them my people). The choice is with the Nigerian people to decide whether they want to go back to Egypt or they want to move to Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. At least they can change their mind after four years if they are not satisfied with this franchise, my people that is your power, use it to the fullest. If you chose one of the the two APC or PDP, YOU ARE DOOMED TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF MISERY, POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, STARVATION, DEATH AND MORE DEATH, THAT YOU BROUGHT UPON YOURSELVES BY YOUR SELVES. SO BE WISE AND MAKE RIGHT CHOICES WHILE YOU CAN THIS FEBRUARY. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.
When there is no effective regulatory body and professionalism everything will always fall apart as we see in Nigeria. Its a shame virtually all Nigeria corporate institutions are ran in this manner. Oma se oo.

yns4real: An opposition presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday said he would consider granting amnesty to corrupt persons willing to surrender their loot.
Mr Abubakar said this while appearing with his running mate, Peter Obi, at a live town hall programme hosted by ace journalist, Kadaria Ahmed.
Mr Abubakar said he would consider drawing a line during which corrupt former public officials would be allowed to return their loot without prosecution. After then, strong policies would be put in place to prevent and fight corruption.
Mr Abubakar said it would be more prudent to allow looters return their assets to Nigeria tax free and invest them in order to boost the country’s economy.
Host Kadaria Ahmed suggested that Mr Abubakar’s proposal could be morally problematic, especially since he has faced corruption allegations since leaving office as Nigeria’s vice president in 2007.
“If you are to go and be prosecuting these people, you will still be prosecuting them and would not get the money,” Mr Abubakar said. He suggested that a similar scheme under past administration yielded over $4 billion.
“Whether it is moral rectitude that you want to achieve or you want to see a fast development of your country,” Mr Abubakar asked rhetorically.
The position was backed by Mr Abubakar’s running mate, Mr Obi, who said it is better than to allow looters keep their plunder just by joining another political party.
Mr Obi’s statement appears a jibe at President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been repeatedly accused of tolerating corruption amongst his political associates while going after opposition members.
Mr Obi said the Buhari administration has fought elusive corrupt people at the detriment of the Nigerian economy, which he said has been haemorrhaging jobs since the government was inaugurated in 2015.
Mr Buhari has denied going after opposition members.
On Wednesday evening, reports emerged that Babachir Lawal. a long time associate of Mr Buhari’s who was fired in 2017 for alleged stealing of funds meant for the internally displaced victims of Boko Haram, had been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Mr Lawal’s delayed prosecution despite overwhelming evidence had been a spectre on Mr Buhari’s anti-corruption drive for several months.
Saraki ko Sarabuse ni. Na yash some Nigerians dey take think sometimes. so because we get tyrant president we must remove him come put a toxic individual like saraki se?
Zenzi: Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has disclosed plans by President Buhari to unleash and soak the nation in blood. He stated these through a tweet.
“Buhari is set to unleash his army and terrorist Fulani sleeper cells all over the south and Middle Belt if he does not get his way. He wishes to inflict carnage in Nigeria and soak the nation in blood rather than leave power. Mark it: this fire he is kindling will consumme him.”
In another tweet the former minister, denied tweeting, Atiku’s candidature is the biggest blunder of PDP. ZR recalled reporting his tweet, where he stated Atiku is the biggest blunder of PDP. A check on his twitter page shows that the former minister quickly deleted the tweet but ZR has several screenshots of that tweet.
Blacksodje: The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party is set to stage a protest at the United States of America embassy in Abuja today (Monday).
The protest, according to the sources close to the top hierarchy of the party, is aimed at drawing the attention of the “world to how President Muhammadu Buhari and his party are running the country.”
It is also expected to inform the ambassador about the “disregard to constitution by the President. ”
queenblog: A Nigerian soldier who was due to get married this Friday February 1st, has died in a recent attack by Boko Haram members. According to his friends who are mourning on social media, Isa who killed in the recent Boko Haram attack in Buni Yadi, Yobe state.
Himself and his bride-to-be recently had their pre-wedding photos released and were anticipating their big day. Sadly, that would never happen as his life was cut short while prosecuting the war against the sect members.
