I didnt know if you traveling within the US on united, you have to pay for ur luggage
1st bag $25 2nd bag $35
its time travellers here share one or two tips or tricks they experience and how they resolved it. Am sure i could learn from others since traveling is an experience on its own I circumvent by flying southwest within the US. You can check 2 bags free. Though it also depends on where you're going. You will need to go to their website. |

nefertitiram: Anything that floats your boat is fine. As long as it has been stated.
Sometimes these CBP officers take overconfidence as arrogance. And it's always better to err on the side of caution. they say don't swim in an ocean full of sharks, it always eventually boils down to your prerogative.
I haven't had any bad experiences with chicago poe, which I have used in the past, I attribute it to being a frequent traveller. But I still sound warning to people because of all my trips to US, I was
They almost always send preggies to secondary inspection, they most likely will open your interview transcript, they will see that you got a visa for a specific travel date and didn't use it. They may flag it, and torment you by hammering on that point till you snap. They may cook up an unbelievable assumption, toss out the change of intent blah blah. Yes, they are mean like that
When someone can pass through jfk without secondary inspection? Jfk anytime... They have these new machines now. It's DIY. You just see the officer to be stamped in. We spent less than 6 minutes in all.... Enjoy your Europe tour. |

Deleting of Tanko and Eddy's numbers is not a recent development that has been the case for years.
A thread started by somebody who claimed to be Tanko was removed and that ID banned for many years.
Lets say you are unknowingly telling lies Case now CLOSED. |

I came here to inform others of another alternative to Naija visa and Naija passport, especially for those who do not want sending out their babies' US passports. YOU Justwise, deleted her number.
So, I wondered why we could post Eddy and Tankos' phone numbers and not hers. To be fair to just wise, he deletes all the numbers. You were lucky to grab the numbers before they were deleted. So while you're saying what you know, it's not necessarily the truth. |

MomSomyy: I really wished I had known about this forum a week ago trust me I won't be in this crisis. Only discovered it yesterday when I went on Google to see how I could be equipped before I fill my ds160 form. Anyway I have gained so much just from last night and i really appreciate everyone th contributed and is still contributing. God bless us all. Hi mama, I've read what everyone had to say/write to you and I think you should reapply . This time, just like everyone said be truthful. Read the thread and draw inspiration from those that never gave up.. Whatever the outcome, you'll know you tried your best to rectify the mistake from the past. If you were not so far gone, I would have advised you to try Canada as well but I'm hopeful for your sake that your interview will be successful. Many people have made mistakes like this in the past, some have been lucky while some were not. Overall, just remember you're pregnant and don't stress yourself too much. Good luck with everything. |

bigfido: So I also read about renting a car. Here's my advise to you people.
1[b]) if you know you didn't go to a proper driving school here, please don't attempt to rent a car. You might end up presenting driving tickets and receipt of payment as your hospital receipt when you want to renew your visa. 2) do you know road signs very well? The ones written on the floor? If you don't, buy slate for kewu, and start practising it. Just be reciting it like you are learning kewu in Ile kewu.
3) Google maps.. Please learn how to use GPS very well and if you don't have Eztag please always avoid tolls. If you enter one and you see purple light, no, it's not disco light, it's gbese waiting for you in the mail box
4) speed limit in school areas... It's very important to adhere to it. If you see a school bus park and you see the brake light blinking, please just stop behind the bus.. If the bus doesn't move, don't move or overtake it o. If its there for 1hr, just open nairaland to keep yourself entertained
6) make sure you get a proper insurance. It is better than to stammer incase anything happens.
Good luck people Honestly.... @ the bolded. Don't even bother renting the car because most Nigerians are not conversant with road signs and all. Na real Kewu lmao.... I swear you joke too much! |

I can help take this thing along tonight if other nairalanders/mom here that is well known here can identify you. My flight is 11:00pm today sunday April 17. Don't forget you will need mom here to identify u. In case she does not see this before you go, please just buy the Zinnat , DM her for the address when you get there and post it. I don't think you need any authentication since you're the one buying it. Thanks on her behalf. PS: I don't know her. |

adycatus: Please letter of change of intent is very important if u are using chicago as POE. I was asked my the CBP cos I renewed by visa thru drop box in Feb after I came back from 3wks vacation in Sept. He said u didn't inform d embassy u were coming for child birth, I said that by the time I decided to delivery my baby in d Us, I wrote d embassy on my new intent which they replied and I printed out the two letters which I gave them at my POE....Tanx to wat I read on this platform, it helped despite the fact dat I have been a frequent UK and US traveller. That's what I call preparedness. You sef don ready them for Chicago POE. Leaving no stone unturned. Congratulations and I wish you a safe delivery. |

tbash16: pls can one process the naija visa oneself via post without going to atlanta in person and how long does it take pls...just wanna be sure before i decide whether to use an agent or do it myself cos i think ive nt xome across someone doing it by them self. Thanks A few people have done it here. I think @shelly(don't remember her Monika) It also depends on the time you have left. If you have some more weeks to go then go to the Nigeria embassy website and follow the instructions on how to get the visa. Good luck. |

favoredgal: Do you know the cost of sending a post (passport & supporting documents) from say the east coast for example to Tanko in Atlanta? I don't know where Alaska is - too lazy to google but to send from Houston which is close to Atlanta I know how much we spend
I'm not saying it matters but it may not be the most efficient cost and logistic wise Maybe I don't get what you're on about but I've done it twice both with Edwin and Tanko. I would think USPS charges a flat rate for their post regardless of what state you're in. Using Tanko/Edwin is more cost effective than buying airplane ticket with a baby to go to DC, Atlanta or NY (those are the only 3 I know), and also logistic wise. |

The Nigerian consulate has three or is it 4 embassy in the USA. Tanko is in Atlanta. I suggest u find the embassy closest to you and compute it from there It doesn't matter. She can still use Tanko. It's via post. |

Hi.... Dropbox is quite straightforward. You fill in your form (DS 160) and upload your passport photo online. Go to www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ to book an appointment. Log in or create a profile, fill in all details and choose Dropbox ( DHL one on the mainland and one on the island) Print out the forms and submit along with your passport at DHL (I used VI ) You're not allowed to submit any other document other than passport, passport photograph confirmation page and visa payment receipts. Read through and follow the instructions on the website step by step in case I missed out anything. If they need you to come for an interview, you'll be contacted via phone call or email. Then you can take your receipts and burden of proof. Hope this helps? |

anonymousmum: Hmm guys let's be careful with this scanning receipts to embassy. Because one person was asked to do it does not mean it applies to everyone.
Also it may backfire, what about people that for some reason or the other have to use a payment plan (twins, complicated births, NICU bills) and don't have complete set of receipts yet?
Very soon it will now become a condition to renewal of visa post birth. Let's not create a precedent and turn it into something similar to the letter of intent.
Just hold your receipts when you travel (in fact gum it to your passport if you have to, lol).
In any case even if you send it to the embassy, you will still hold it when you travel.
These are just my thoughts. I agree. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have been carrying receipts for over 4 years and I've never been asked (interview, Dropbox, point of entry.... ) but I still carry for the one day they'll ask. I've also never sent change of intent sometimes I think people just send it unecessarily ( just my opinion) Let's not start emailing receipts, it may become a criteria for renewal and not everyone has a straight forward birth. Some have payment plans. |
