8 business days even when you've expedited? The last time I was there was March 2015, it may have changed.

You can get it the same day or the next day whichever you prefer. If you want it the same day, make sure you get there very early and request to collect it.

Your post was a wake up call for me. We are travelling soon and I'm not in the mood get my daughter her Nigerian passport however, I can't find any duration on her passport/ Nigeria visa.
I think it's better to just do the Nigeria passport to avoid the immigration wahala.

Whatever the outcome, you'll know you tried your best to rectify the mistake from the past.
If you were not so far gone, I would have advised you to try Canada as well but I'm hopeful for your sake that your interview will be successful.
Many people have made mistakes like this in the past, some have been lucky while some were not.
Overall, just remember you're pregnant and don't stress yourself too much.

How did you book the appointment? Phone or by yourself on the Internet.

You need to log in and change it, I'm suspecting it's the old DS160 number he may have used previously. If you go to the embassy, you won't be allowed to go in.

So I also read about renting a car. Here's my advise to you people.

2) do you know road signs very well? The ones written on the floor? If you don't, buy slate for kewu, and start practising it. Just be reciting it like you are learning kewu in Ile kewu.

3) Google maps.. Please learn how to use GPS very well and if you don't have Eztag please always avoid tolls. If you enter one and you see purple light, no, it's not disco light, it's gbese waiting for you in the mail box

4) speed limit in school areas... It's very important to adhere to it. If you see a school bus park and you see the brake light blinking, please just stop behind the bus.. If the bus doesn't move, don't move or overtake it o. If its there for 1hr, just open nairaland to keep yourself entertained

6) make sure you get a proper insurance. It is better than to stammer incase anything happens.

Please letter of change of intent is very important if u are using chicago as POE. I was asked my the CBP cos I renewed by visa thru drop box in Feb after I came back from 3wks vacation in Sept. He said u didn't inform d embassy u were coming for child birth, I said that by the time I decided to delivery my baby in d Us, I wrote d embassy on my new intent which they replied and I printed out the two letters which I gave them at my POE....Tanx to wat I read on this platform, it helped despite the fact dat I have been a frequent UK and US traveller.

That's what I call preparedness. You sef don ready them for Chicago POE. Leaving no stone unturned.

After an IVF cycle in October, got pregnant naturally in Dec, didn't find out until end of Jan even though I was preparing for another round of IVF for February and I did take pregnancy test on Dec 15 to be precise. So I agree with you it does take a while to know for some people.

A few people have done it here. I think @shelly(don't remember her Monika) It also depends on the time you have left. If you have some more weeks to go then go to the Nigeria embassy website and follow the instructions on how to get the visa.

I don't know where Alaska is - too lazy to google but to send from Houston which is close to Atlanta I know how much we spend

Maybe I don't get what you're on about but I've done it twice both with Edwin and Tanko.

I would think USPS charges a flat rate for their post regardless of what state you're in.

Using Tanko/Edwin is more cost effective than buying airplane ticket with a baby to go to DC, Atlanta or NY (those are the only 3 I know), and also logistic wise.

For my first it was sweet.... though I shook like crazy after the operation, I needed like 10 warm blankets.

The Nigerian consulate has three or is it 4 embassy in the USA. Tanko is in Atlanta. I suggest u find the embassy closest to you and compute it from there

Very soon it will now become a condition to renewal of visa post birth. Let's not create a precedent and turn it into something similar to the letter of intent.

Just hold your receipts when you travel (in fact gum it to your passport if you have to, lol).

In any case even if you send it to the embassy, you will still hold it when you travel.

I have been carrying receipts for over 4 years and I've never been asked (interview, Dropbox, point of entry.... ) but I still carry for the one day they'll ask.

I've also never sent change of intent sometimes I think people just send it unecessarily ( just my opinion)
Let's not start emailing receipts, it may become a criteria for renewal and not everyone has a straight forward birth. Some have payment plans.
