optionese: Answer yes to the two similar questions. I don't think so ma. Second question is basically getting to the point of entry and you're refused entry/ admission. Answer yes if that has happened before. @toyogirl |

merrymum: Please o, I really don't understand this occupation on marriage cert thingy. Is marriage cert to prove marriage or to prove occupation? I believe it's the first. So if I worked for one year as a banker during which I got married (and they probably put 'banker' on my marriage cert), then worked 3 yrs as a field engineer, and this is what I'm using as my primary NOC, are you saying my application will be rejected because it shows banker on my marriage cert? Please o, let's be sure of the info we pass across so as not to scare people. Lol Like Bankers who are now teachers right? I guess your time line would show that. And a letter of explanation should suffice. |

rikkyfred: Good Morning people, I have been reading this thread since page o but I still do have some Questions. is it mandatory that there should be a correlation between what you read in school and the noc job you have experience in? because I have a masters in philosophy but I am a fashion model/fitness instructor.. in fact ,I have been since 2013. now the question i have with fashion modeling( it is a skilled job) is the documentation of work experience. I have worked with modeling agencies that signed me, but I submitted the forms I signed. I can request for them for they can serve as employment letter. what about the salary aspect and the role u played in the organization as u know modeling is not as documented as a bank/office job? same goes for the fitness instructor job too. not sure if the gym has a website, company logo with any official employment letter. any advice on how to officially package my modeling experience with salary n role documentation?
and is it compulsory to have your certificate before your degree is evaluated by Wes or iqas? i currently do not have my certificate with me. I only have my unofficial transcript. nothing else. lastly how much is Wes and iqas in naira? thank you http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.aspDid you follow this link to see whether you fall into category 0, A or B? You need to fall into those categories yo be eligible. Then Google WES and check their requirements as I think what you have is sufficient. The most important thing is getting your institution to send them your transcripts directly. Lastly, try and read this thread as much as you can to gain as much knowledge on this journey. Good luck! |

merrymum: And I am angry because this thread is very helpful. Last year someone told my hubby and I about Express Entry. I searched on Google and saw this thread. After reading the first page, I went to every single link Zandora shared there, did our ECA and IELTS and created our profile. We got our ITA and now waiting for PPR.
In all this, I don't think I asked more than 1 question for clarification on this thread.
So if you think this thread is not helpful, please look for another you think will be helpful and take your laziness somewhere else. While I'm not angry, I agree with you. I've learnt a lot from this thread and I've asked a few questions (still pre-ITA) however, I find myself helping people that are on WhatsApp groups as some don't even know about gift deed. Smh All I know is that page 0 on this thread is sufficient and then one can ask questions that are in line with their predicament. Even as at that it's been repeated time and time again to allow your POF remain in your acc for 4- 6 months and then back up with a convincing LOE if less than 6 months. I don't think there's anything else unless you want the gurus to come and fill and submit for you. |

Boss13: True. Alternatively, a POST ITA thread should be opened to discuss these issues. If you review these thread, you will find out that many of the issues are mainly on WES and IELT (PRE ITA) and very few of POST ITA. However, POST ITA is the main phase of the application and there are a lot of bottlenecks. Even people get rejected for just Digital photo alone.
I am not trying to disregard PRE ITA phase. However, the separation will assist participants with concentration and questions will be customised. This will definitely assist people with how to tackle PRE ITA phase and when the individual is successful with ITA, he/she can then move over to the POST ITA phase.
Little is being said about the processes undertaken by VOs during POST ITA phase - How background checks are carried out, what type of digital photo you need, whether distance learning education requires PCC (a major reason for rejection), how to avoid gift deeds and pension as POF etc Kindly share your timeline and pre and post ITA experiences here. All can be tackled here. The reason why there are more IELTS and WES comment is because quite a few of us are pre ITA and the remaining are post ITA . All what you've written can be shared here. |

I am new here. My CRS is 413, IELTS R8.5 L8 W8 S8.5. I will get 15 extra points by June in the sibling category. I have a couple of questions please
1. How can I get PCC from the US while in Nigeria?
2. I also have to get PCC from Dominica, Georgia and Nigeria. Help please.
3. Can you kindly explain how the gift deed works for POF?
Hoping to get the ITA soon!!! Thank you... Nice IELTS results... I recently did the US PCC and I heard it takes forever 12- 14 weeks. Go to the FBI portal for instructions. |

Wow! Great IELTS scores guys. Well done. Fingers crossed for hubby and I in the next 2 weeks.
Regarding the withheld results, I heard some of the papers for the 13th May leaked so they are withholding some for investigation. Also, sometimes they randomly select some scripts for further assessment so it may not be released early.
Well done all! |

Onlineise: Both @bbaby84 and @Dammiehair were spot on. However, If you guys wanna change the name. It has now been decentralized, you can go do it at Ikoyi...it takes abit longer than the regular passports and cost more, but you don't have to go to Abuja. My wife did same cause we were in a similar situation as you are and panicked only to find out later its no biggie once documents are in place to prove the marriage. Good news! But I think I'll pass either way.... @obitee69 |

obitee69: Pls i just got married and my wife's passport is in her maiden name which will soon expire by july. We are putting in for ielts. Pls should she renew in her maiden name and we back it up with marraige documents? Cos i heard change of name is a very long process and it requires you going to abuja and waiting for more than one month. Its also costly too There's no big deal in bearing her maiden name. I still bear mine on my passport and I've been married forever. All you need is your marriage certificate and you can put some pictures to back it up If you're that worried ( never done the picture part though) Hubby and I have applied for visas together with no issues. Good luck. |

Even ur PR visa is only valid for 6- 7 months it will be cancelled at the point of entry, and you will be asked for an address they will send your PR Card to, your PR card will be the main visa. Thank you. So your timeline was less than 6 months? |

Please anyone that has done the FBI PCC. Can you kindly walk me through what you did exactly... I read that if you stayed an accumulative 6 months regardless of if you're a visitor. I might as well do it now since it takes so long to get.
I'll appreciate someone's experience.

shawlar: In my opinion, everyone that replies both her and Tpako are also to blame for this.. You are all enabling them by replying their barbs/insults and scarcastic comments. They bait you with such comments, you fireback and then the whole thread is derailed for like 2/3 pages. This MO has happened over and over again and y'all still fall for it. I dont understand why everyone cannot just 'unlook them'. By the time they insult the wind for like 4/5 pages cos nobody replies them, they'll open their own little thread somewhere and be trading insults Rotfl |
