cookies: Some people are so lucky with IQAS my school in UK sent them my master's transcript since 3rd April & I haven't even got an email to say my file is in line for processing faxed them last week & they said they're experiencing heavy workload. Na wa o! Hi, Did you have to call your school in the UK for them to send the transcripts and did you have to pay? We are using WES but I just want to get the general idea especially for those with UK qualifications. . We've sent the certificates but haven't contacted the schools as I was assuming they'll send an email to the school. |

chinwe11: Now I am confused oh. With this subsidising thing. My hospital says delivery alone is 13k but if u are paying cash it's 8k for cash paying. Does that count as subsidised? They won't allow me pay more cos the bill they give is the 8k. Is it an issue? You're good to go.... there's a discount because you're self pay and you're paying cash ( not using insurance like the average American). Just make sure you collect the receipts and zero balance for visa renewal/ point of exit/ entry. Please don't be confused. |

mayorsboo: Amen! I have decided to have my baby in Nigeria and apply for a visiting Visa later, so many regrets in my head sha, I should have asked more questions, I would ve refused the offer from day one, I was only being careful with my inlaws. The experience in her house is story for another day. My husband wants us to sue her or call family meeting for her to refund the money, but that won't give me the visa, so I told him to leave her to God. If you're not due soon please try Canada.... At least you'll know you tried sha. |

shawlar: I have actually made a correction on my sons passport at the US embassy in Lagos... that was like 3months ago. Its not a big deal. You'll have to make an appointment at the American Citizens section of their site. Print the appointment page and download & fill the required form. Stroll up to the gate at your scheduled time (dont go and queue up with visa people ooo ) and you'll be ushered in and attended to. I doubt if they'll request for the receipts although I remember them asking one parent for progressive pictures of his daughter - maybe she looked totally different from the pic in her passport and the consular officer wanted to make sure she was d same person. Thank you... We already renewed and it was no big deal like you said. We were also told to come with progression pictures as he was just 6 weeks when he got the first one. We should get it in 2 weeks time. Thank you for responding. Happy holidays! |

funtolash: Unfortunately I didn't notice whether there was any "x" on my own print out receipt. But what I noticed for sure was that: 1. I was the only pregnant woman on the queue (and also on the flight from Lagos to JFK). To be honest for whatever weird reason, i seriously prayed that I shld be the only preggy one there at the time of my entry. 2. It was a Sunday morning when I got in (around 9:30am) so airport was relatively light (not like I know what it's like during the week, but I can almost bet it will be a lot busier. This is for the discerning mind.
Not that am saying the above have anything direct to do with how my poe experience went but it might have contributed to it. I still can't get over the part of you leaving your suitcases..... lmao. You must have been very excited! For your shopping, just go to Jersey Gardens (Burlington coat factory( Baby Depot) first before going around. Thank me later . Congratulations and all the best! |

Just to share. .. On my way back from Toronto to NY, I was asked why my kids were born in the US and if I paid. To be honest I was in a hurry but I had put the receipts in one of the handluggages so I just handed them to him as I was about to miss my flight. Just a gentle reminder to always hold your receipts. |

thebaft: Just to let you know. My relation who applied for a visitor visa online on 26 April 2016 received an original passport request today 17 August 2016. Processing time was 113 days. I guess you can use that as a measure to know when your passport request might be sent. It might even be sooner. Just be optimistic. Lmao... that one grey hair would have grown. Na wa. |

Nogen: I remember how some people descended on me when I raised the warning flag against Dr. F. It took my friend coming to this forum to narrate her horrible ordeal in his hands before some started believing.
Anyway, I stopped talking. Whatever rocks one's boat! An elderly aunt of mine said something : ' I don't understand why one would cross the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans of this World to the USA just to use a Nigerian doctor, why not use one here?" That was her statement after she heard of my friend's experience in the hands of Dr. F.
I don't totally agree with her but DR.F makes her statement seems right! Do your research thoroughly before you spend on hospitals or doctors who are not worth it! I don't understand too.... Parapo things.. smh |
