ejisky: Settle the issue amicably o since its your sister... if you report them na big yawa o.. You may end up wishing you didnt involve the authorities... You're probably right. Doesn't make me feel less betrayed. Why I need to find a way to monitor without putting them in trouble. |

zeezahbee: That's bull crap. I think I have a post about how to report any activity. You need to para, vex and shout for your host. Tell them you will involve the police and they should have it in mind that you will monitor the activity of the SSN. The person knew it was SSN and opened, wrote out the number and end up filing the next tax with it. . Voila !!
I will repost how to detect Ssn fraud.
Pele Please can you kindly share. My own story is that my sister told me she couldn't file taxes without including my son because I had him in her house ( Big fat lie) but unfortunately for me I believed. Didn't know my blood could do such. Fast forward 3 years I asked her to stop otherwise I would report her though it was a big fight she said she will.I feel betrayed. With my second, I hugged the SSN number to my chest. |

modath: Good day House...
Update on the nightmarish POE called Chicago ORD, this time its point of EXIT..
I checked in at the airport with my precious cargo, got our boarding passes & still had about an hour and a half to kill so was just chilling at the lounge, boarding was called at 9:40 but still was lounging, at 10, decided to roll myself, Baby, hand luggage jejely to the plane, only to hear at almost the entrance of the plane from two custom official...... "ma'am, this way", i was fingerprinted and the drama began...
1."You came in 50+ days ago,so your only mission was to have a baby here? * With a sinister smile on the male officer's face*... i answered in the affirmative & reiterated that i was honest about my intention, replied " yes i can see that, *with the kind of look that clearly says, which crazy person let you in!!!
2. Why didn't you go to missouri as you declared at entry?... "i preferred to stay in chicago where i have family and also got an ok deal...
They were buttering up with one & two, No 3 came!!
3. What govt benefits did you enjoy on this journey m, i answered none, they now asked to see receipt & zero balance, i said "its likely to be in my checked in baggage, the male officer said, we may have to ask for your luggage cos we are not likely to take your word for it...
I said hold on let me check my hand luggage cos i had some docs in it, may find it in there, he & the lady officer just said no need and took my hand luggage, diaper bag & hand bag and proceeded to empty them, by sheer Waow!!!! Come and finish o biko. |

duchessgoddess: Hello everyone! First of, a very BIG congratulations to all new mums. I tap into that grace of safe delivery. I stumbled upon this thread 4 days ago and read thru from part 1 (and boy what a read! *whew*). I am an expectant (first time) mum and always had that dream of giving birth in the US, but I wanted to go about it right so my embassy trip doesn't turn out to be a futile and emotionally draining effort (VISA rejection and all). And I learnt a whole lot. Thanks sooo so much for all your selfless contributions. Unfortunately, I won't be using the US this time around cos I'm 27weeks gone already and I haven't even started the VISA application process! Defo for my next babies. I only wish I got to know about this thread weeks earlier You still have plenty time if you have the money. Owo ni koko. ... God bless us all. |

Tiababy: Infact, I have been crying all night. Feel so guilty. He had just recovered for diarrhoea that went on for 2 weeks before I left Nigeria. I don't even know how I overlooked the anti-malaria drug or even missed out taking malaria drug for him. But then, I have done all the wash rag thingy to no avail. The symptoms have gone worse. Eeyah... I really feel for you as my 3 year old too battled the flu and it wasn't funny as it was during the whole ebola period but his ped in NJ said to keep him hydrated and keep temp down. His body was just fighting the virus. The painful part is that I left all my malaria drugs ( both curative and preventive)in my sister's house but she's in Nigeria at the moment. Please anyone travelling today, tomorrow please help out. It's not easy to take care of a sick child when pregnant. God would lay his healing Hands on your child ijn. It is well with you both. |

Tiababy: Hi everyone, urgent please. can anyone help me with the contact of a pediatrician that can help me here in the US. I am still preggy and waiting to give birth in Sept but my 3 year old is been ill for 5 days now. I have been giving him paracetamol for a while now thinking it was change of environment thingy. But the whole thing got worse, need to get malaria drug for him according to his doctor from Nigeria. But I have discovered I can't get a malaria drug without prescription. Can anyone help me. Why didn't you use Anti Malaria before you travelled? (I usually take back up sef)Besides, how many weeks have you been in the US for? Malaria isn't something to readily treat as they may quarantine your child... He/she may just have the flu just keep temp down by using Tylenol and pat him/her down with a damp cloth. What state in the US? |

FinanceFitness: I think the unusual silence is more from an empathetic and compassionate stand point. I didn't use Medicaid the last time and by God's grace, I will not in future as well.
It's really a rough patch to go through with a newborn being ill and all, so people don't want to worsen the situation.
This is my opinion though. You said my mind through and through. It's such a hard situation to be in but it always pays to do the right thing. Perhaps she may start up a fund thingy where people can donate or so. I just really feel for the poster. It is well |

I read this now and I think of how we take child bearing as a normal thing. It's by His grace. For a 2 times CS mama I'm truly grateful for life. For those waiting to deliver the Lord will see you through IJN.
