You yourself can see how & why we usually descend into "cyber bullying" territory ?

What's the deal with the yinmu huh

You know chicago well & know where Northwestern is, anytime you are ready with the belle, pay them a visit !!!
Didnt mean to you cc modath. Message was to Nerf, I hope she took it with humour.

I checked in very late that the plane almost left without me sef while trying to sort it at the airport. So i had to pay hoping i ll clarify it when i got to Heathrow but i was also told dre that no baby is entitled to any luggage. I was so angry.
That's one chance o. You know I was going to write that I like to get to the airport early for when they want to start their craziness. Just remove your mind from it but that $200 sha....
Now you know better in case you fly them again.
Take care.

I dont share that sentiment though. I flew BA with my baby in March and i was made o pay 200$ for my 3rd 23kg bag which i felt should be baby's luggage. I called BA severally before my travel date and i was told over the phone that my baby is entitled to a 23kg bag,a stroller and a car seat, only for me to get to the airport and they said thats a misinformation. I even asked at BA desk in Heathrow and they said baby ain't entitled to any luggage. The thing pain me ehn,i swore never to fly BA again for misinforming me.
I flew BA in April and my baby had a 25kg (it's 23kg but they allow up to 25) bag. So we had 7 bags in total. Hubby, me, son & daughter (shey she paid for ticket). The person attending to you was a jjc. I would usually ask to see a supervisor because I won't pay. I will even go as far as showing them on their website.

They only jumped out to give 'positive feedback' of Dr A. after a member here narrated a very bad experience with the Dr which nobody denied just to discredit her story. If your experience with him is good one then fine but don't come out to discredit somebody who just went through life changing experience.

Dr A. knows about this forum according to many he spoke to so why not send one of his staff to come here to give his own view about what happened?
Mr. J I respectfully disagree. I think you may be mixing up the stories. Dr. A's matter was @ejisky narrating her personal experience and someone else countered it by narrating a family member's experience not a personal one.
Let me start by saying if this dr went by me on the street I won't know as I've never met him before and same goes for Dr. F.
I heard what Dr. A did (third party experience) and I was like wow! But on the other hand I have a friend and a former colleague that have used him and their experiences differ. Same with Dr F he has good reviews and quite horrible reviews (just like the ladywho narrated her experience).

Let's stop with the bashing abeg.

Really Modath and Nefertitiram (you guys need to chill on the Dr. A matter) I say it in the humblest way possible. What he did was painful but just chill.

Also, lots of people have babies at home in America. Someone here did on the last thread. No need to discredit someone's story because it doesn't go down with you.

I'm a lover not a fighter.

Jeeeeezzzzz, So the VO denied the applicant because of a bad doctor fagbohun?. Did the VO even said that? I have been watching with rapt attention as some members innocently or knowingly destroy peoples reputation on this thread but its time i take a stand. I have been playing the jester for a while but I will no longer keep quiet on a lot of sensitive issues.

Fagbohun has never been to this thread to share his own side of the story and thats the danger of a SINGLE STORY,i will stop on that for now.

I want to talk generally now, Yes some members on this thread are turning to BULLIES!!! Some members dont have answers or clear understanding of issues but they just have to talk for talking sake. Meanwhile a lot of you were helped even when you were abroad but as soon as you birth and come back you take up a different mindset. When people can no longer share their mind and ask questions it becomes a problem. I laughed when i saw some members advocating for PM(private messages) when Justwise wanted to ban Doctors contact. If the old members had operated via PM you wont even be a member of this thread. I was the who advised Soulcare to advertise on this thread, i also contacted Seun when her advert was not hoisted without benefiting anything financially because any help i render is to God and humanity. I also did that to honor the rules of the thread . I am not sure seun has reached out to that client for further patronage in a while. The content of the thread has been user generated so i have been bothered about how things are going.

And to all of members stalking agents please do it with wisdom so that there is no distrust and fear, if i dont know her better i would have said @ladyguineverre is also an agent by attempting to demarket fagbohun.

I will take it upon myself to reach out to fagbohun , he needs to review his policies and be mindful of how he handle patients complaints but we should be mindful of how we run people down especially fellow Nigerians abroad. And dont be surprised if he stops sending letters like other doctors who dont send any. I patiently expect knocks, whip etc on all the areas that i have mentioned but i will no longer keep quiet on issues.
Seconded.

I hv taking the motrin I bought from walmart as suggested by my Aunty. I did a c-section last week Wednesday. I hv also checked my bp and it's normal. Does anyone experience this ill feeling while breastfeeding. ur tone is harsh, pls calm down as I ask a question that matters to me meanwhile ,one can't basically pick malaria from TX but it can be in the system thru pregnancy unnoticed .
Madam Enyinne I asked about mosquitos because I haven't been to TX before and I know some parts of Cali have mosquitos esp in the summer (just don't know if it's enough to cause Malaria) It was a genuine question.

You're a few days post partum so I understand the blues.
Have a warm bath, eat and take your pain killers. You can buy a pump to help with suction.
Take care of yourself.

Pls does anyone knows how to.handle this situation. Am 6days post partum and am feeling empty, lost my appetite and now am having fever.. what can I do now as I don't hv a malaria tablet and I can't buy from pharmacy. Pls any solution to this. Thanks
Why would you need Malaria tabs? Are they mosquitos in TX?
Did you have the baby normally or CS? There are a number of things that could be going on. First take the ibuprofen from your aftercare pack. Check your bp if you can but if you have a fever please call your doctor.
I know you're trying to curb unecessary spendING but your life is very important.

it goes beyond posting names of hospitals.
u need someone on ground who can introduce you
to their family doc and in turn recommends a gynecologist to you and so on

you need to be in canada for consultation.
I thought so too. Canada practise GP route just like UK.It's not like the US where they've made it easy to contact the doctor's office. I plan to do some research when we go next summer.
Fingers crossed.

For Nigerian visa, Eddy is still my guy... He's responsive and fast. But is $50 more expensive. They even had issues with my return envelope payment due to issues with my credit card, the guy paid the $38 and sent me his account details.

On toddler seat, I didn't go with mine and didn't buy as well. Risky, but no one disturbed us.
Hubby forgot to put in prepaid return envelope and Tanko sent it back on his tab. Even when I asked to reimburse him he said no worries.
Anyways, I used Eddy too a few years back. They're both nice.

Besides, I stayed in Division (downtown Chicago) so the max I spent on cab was like 11 dollars.

i remembered reading u carried palm oil, biko was it frozen state or its liquid state you carry am?

@All, for those who travelled with toddler, please did you have to carry car seat along or how u do am for inside cab
please advise me biko
In cabs you're fine as they don't expect you to be carrying that heavy thing. If you rent a car is where you need to install your car seat otherwise you'll have to rent(not nice)
Personally, I carry car seat whenever I travel regardless but in Chicago we took cabs and my son followed me sometimes.
Just take the car seat o.

I used Tanko, $300 minus shipping cost. it's very difficult to reach him, If you are able to reach him atleast once, just go ahead and send your docs to him and he will do it and send back. You can also try and call him maybe at night. I think he doesn't pick calls during work hours lipsrsealed
I was going to say if you've spoken to him just go ahead and send to him.
He'll do it.

Note. No question as per pregnancy was asked during visa interview but the regular mail was sent prior to going for delivery in the states.
Please guidance and information is needed.
Thanks
You don't need to do that. If they require it, you'll be called for an interview.

In the US passport for baby, theirs a page for the bearer signature, since baby cannot sign, pls how is this done properly. Is it just the parent signature unbehalf of the baby or signature and relationship i.e signature (mother).
For my first, they made me sign before I got on the plane (I just wrote his full name). For my lil madam, no one said anything and it's still blank.
I guess it depends.

Pls fellow mama that hv done c-section here, I hv a little issue bothering me. Am scheduled for my c-section tomorrow at 37weeks as am considered high risk due to protein in urine. My doc at WHMC told me not to take water from 12midnite today till tomorrow morning 9am when I will give birth. But when I had my son using emergency c-section at premier specialist hospital at vi 4yrs ago thru Dr iwuh he never mentioned that, giving that I gave birth on a Sunday evening that means I hv already chop my rice, with okpomo and drank water and I delivered around 5pm. Pls how did ur doc handle this no water issue before c-section as I normally take lots of water and I don't know how I will survive this throat dryness for hours unending.
Funny you mentioned Dr. Iwuh. I've heard nothing but great things about him.
With the CS ish... I've never been told that but the 1st was an ECS and the repeat I couldn't even eat (anxiety). I'm sure you'll be fine once you follow doctor's orders.
All the best.

Was I marketed? Well, as soon as I mentioned looking for a hosp in Chicago, I got bombarded with PMs referring me to ds same doc.
I contacted him n his 1st question is who referred me... am like "Errr, okay?"

I get to chicago in person, n peeps were still hustling me for ds same doc! Abeg na wetin! Was nw a church member dat told me her experience, hw d hustling works and why I should not use him cos of her own experience, which I posted here a while ago.
Oh I see... I never knew I was going to Chicago until last minute and trust me when I say every Nigerian (old and young) I met in Chicago asked me the same question and were surprised when I said No.
So other than the fact that he asked who referred you ( and your church member's experience), you don't have a personal experience with him?

That is not always the issue hence my concern, some use 3rd party experience to review a Dr. If it's based on personal experiences then there is no prob.
My sentiments exactly... so therefore if recommendation is based on experience, reviews too should be based on experience. It shouldn't be my brother's wife, or my mother's son etc.

Just like the lovely lady who shared her shoddy treatment from DR. F. I'm sure some learnt and ported while some still went with their gut feeling and used him.
TBH I don't like parapo things, I just like to be fair.

I found a Dr or Hosp in bla bla bla or I got accommodation in bla bla bla.. Pm me for details is bull crap... If it's transparent tested and trusted... Then share it here.

Then these accommodation agents or "Americanas" or opportuned Americanas taking advantage of pregnant women will continue to do so since "u guys" enjoy the "pm me for details". Imagine someone telling you to pay rent of e.g 800 (for one room u r sharing with him/her).. u r excited to pay because it's cheaper than everywhere u have searched. What you don't know is that, that's the total rent plus miscellaneous bill for the whole house for that month....

Tested and trusted information should be shared here... With further information like how to go about baby's documents and everything Nefertitiram said.
I was going to say that accommodation is where @justwise and NL should be looking at for revenue. Nowadays, people prefer to rent than stay with relatives (not that you can blame them).
Sometimes I think that PM thing is a scam honestly. I prefer you ask or say what you want here. (transparency)
