nefertitiram: In years? I've been in and out of US 3 times in 2yrs, ds is the 4th time. I always get a card on the flight, even when I have nothing to declare.
How did you declare your food items? Because that's where you declare stuff you have. @nerf I think you've mixed it up. I haven't received a card in the last two years either. The last time I received was in 2011 when I went to have my son. The nothing to declare card is not an i94 it's just agricultural control/ landing card |

hadetola: Hello people of NL ,
please do we have anyone who has traveled to US through New York Kennedy and to connect through New york Newark for the next flight? I will like to know how far is the two airport and how can one connect is it a walk over or by train or taxi. I have but I just usually take a cab which is about $100 but there's a shuttle for $25 if you don't have plenty luggage or if you have the strength . It drops you off at EWR. Good luck |

nefertitiram: I went to Chase bank to open an account yesterday. They requested for another form of ID, that has my address in Chicago. They are not serious! Will carry my kaya to Bank of America since Chase is not ready. I opened my BOA acc at downtown Chicago. Gave my passport and uk driver's license (if you have Niger own too they should collect). They need 2 forms of ID apparently. |

DeeandGLady: Yeah but you can't pay a bill that is over $300 online or via POS per day that is the main problem its just annoying, Imagine you go to shop and just an item cost $400 how do you want to pay for that, that of the don't exceed $50,000 a year is fine by me. Any way my plan is hold cash and go with like 3 master cards simple. You can pay a bill with your card over 300 dollars at a store or pos. You just can't withdraw over 300 dollars from the cash point. |

Newmum15: I think people have become too lazy to search for information online and want to be spoonfed with every information. This forum should be used to answer new questions but instead we keep seeing same questions on every thread.Every question being asked now has been answered before if only you'd spend your data to look for it or just simply search on Google.I even doubt some people make research about info they get.Pls let's take our time to go through former threads and not make this place boring for others. Thanks You spoke my mind. The questions being asked have already been answered like 3 pages before but someone still has to ask e.g Tanko's number. .... Newcomers biko go to part 1 and read then have a pen and jotter handy and write all you deem important. It's so boring. |

Omodaraju: Madam, unpack your things and repack like four times. Then have repeated looks at the cute things you bought for the little one you're expecting. Take a walk when you have the energy, it helps set baby in position for delivery. If you've got Netflix or YouTube, watch plenty films, the days will run by faster.
Bottom line, be careful how you search for company, you can't trust people anyhow whether in Osun or Texas. Are you sure your hosts are open to you receiving strangers in their home?
All the best dear, just be patient your perfect company will soon be here rotfl |

twizzie: Hi. I don't know if anyone has answered you but i was in NYC Dec and I got my baby's passport same day.. fortunately, my SIL who I went with knew someone there so he expedited the process..All u need are: 1. Consent letter from both parents(it doesn't matter if you are both present) You will still be requested to write it. 2. Data pages of your passport. 3. Pre- registered confirmation form.. just google that.. 4. Payment of about $80 electronically..(you will take confirmation along) 5. Processing fee(Money order of $30 That's about all. If you need to get asap, you might be asked to pay another $60 for expedited..
Oh, be ready for one Madan Igwe or so, can't remember her name..She kept on rambling and rambling leaving her duties just to come and be gisting with all applicants! Thank you my sister... I just went with the visa o but I used Tanko as he was cheaper than Ed. We are now back home. |

nefertitiram: Southwest to Chicago? *blank stare*
Southwest goes to a specific part of US, it doesn't cover the entire us, only the South West. I just flew them to Chicago midway for $89 to and $89 back.... like I said cheap and cheerful with 2 bags free and you get your bags unlike Spirit... |

nefertitiram: My last trip to US was Lagos to JFK then I took american airline to Chicago. All you do is buy your ticket IN ADVANCE from www.expedia.com Buy early o! Because a trip of $90 can become $300 if you book too close to your flight.
Also depends on when you are arriving. If you arrive early, like 10am, book a 5pm flight to save on hotel costs in NY. New York is so expensive, it makes your eyes water!
As soon as you arrive, take the Air train to Terminal 8, it is free if it is within the airport. Terminal 8 is domestic terminal for American Airlines. As per baggage, Carry on is free. 1st bag is $25 2nd bag is $35
But as a sharp girl, I checked in one bag, and carried d 2nd as carry on luggage (it wasn't so big though). At the entrance of the plane, they will take it from you and add to other luggage Why not just do southwest? Cheap and cheerful and also. .. you can check in 2 bags free. .. they are perfect for we baggage people. |

I have just called the Delta Int Line and was told that I have to pay $4750 for a one way ticket for babys seat. There is no discount. The alternative is to pay $435 and put baby on my lap. For a 13hr journey I have read stuff here on Delta and how they are not very baby friendly but can anyone who has gone back share how convinient it was to put baby on the lap for the whole of the journey. I am yet to pay as I am still very confused. And Will I be allowed to go in with car seat? To keep baby strapped for take off & landing? IF I get a bassinet, how does that work with keeping baby on laps?? My seat is a premium economy one. Pls I need advice ASAP as travel date is close. Thank you all in advance.[/quote]Madam, If it were me, the money has helped me decide sef... I can't speak for Delta but I took BA and I didn't think twice about baby on my lap. Luckily I had a lovely passenger beside me and a bassinet. This time my hubby will be coming as I can't travel with my toddler and infant. All the best! |

I will appreciate u guys response pls. Are you for real? What will you then do with the Naira? That's a bit desperate in my opinion. I must use my money finish for hia. Any small thing, I go press am. The nurses don know me self if I wan cough, I go press am. If the nurse enter I'll say "I want to know if I can cough after surgery" cos I dey breastfeed. I hope I don't run dry. This was me 2 weeks ago the only difference was that mine was a repeat c -section. Pele... Please give them formula ooo you can't kill yourself because you want to do exclusive besides you just had a major surgery.... With my first I gave him one ready to feed a day from the get go but with my lil madam we've been breast milk all the way I guess she's not eating as much as my son was and now that I'm a veteran I've quickly discovered Medela breast pump (expensive but so worth every penny esp if you really want to give them nothing but BM) I started eating right after my surgery but I took stool softeners and was passing gas right away but the major never came until I got home and it wasn't pretty TMI. The Lord is your strength as you take care of your babies hope someone is joining you soon because it's not easy at all... All the best... |

Amother4life: I don't come on this thread to spew my personal opinion when it involves U.S immigration. I always include links to the appropriate U.S government website for those who have the time to read through. I just did not see the point of people gambling with something as simple as a consent letter knowing fully well that the U.S. embassy version is accepted in all 50 states and for consent there is no charge. I'm I the only one that read that consent forms are free of charge at the end.... In case you misinterpreted what I meant, I appreciate people that share but don't make it seem like it's the only way.... We are meant to be mothers or mothers-to-be, let's be civil to one another. Thank you for sharing. |

Amother4life: If the consent form is to be notarized in Nigeria then it must be at the embassy. Why do you like giving false information? This is my second child and all my husband did was go to notarize the form DS -3053 at the nearest court. Actually it is different... They ask men more questions e.g educational background and they don't ask women. I filled mine and my husband's so I know. nefertitiram: It is not different. The answers you give in some sections lead to further question. If you put in unemployed you won't get questions like how much you earn or place of employment. If you put in you are being sponsored other parts will be skipped. If you put in you are sponsoring they will require more details from you. |
