The world is moving away from big bezels, and here's Sony acting against the movement.

Sony has just announced the Xperia 8 in Japan, hot on the heels of the Xperia 5 release. The mid-range smartphone has a body that is quite similar to that of the Xperia 10. However, in the case of the Xperia 8, there is Gorilla Glass 7 on the front and back.

The Sony Xperia 8 comes with a 6-inch FHD+ display with the signature 21:9 aspect ratio. It comes with an LCD panel, unlike flagship Xperia models. The device has a dimension of 158mm x 69mm x 8.1mm and weighs 170 grams.

This beautiful device has a dual-camera setup on the rear. This setup includes a 12MP f/1.8 main shooter and an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide angle camera. On the front sits an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The Xperia 8 has its power button plus fingerprint scanner combo on the right side. Sony also included the Side Sense touch sensors that we see in the Xperia 1 and the Xperia 5.

Powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC, the Xperia 8 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card.

The battery of the Xperia 8 has a capacity of 2,760mAh and supports 18W fast charging. The device is waterproof and dustproof, with an IP65/68 rating. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack with LDAC for hi-res audio. It also comes with an LED notification light.

Sony Xperia 8 Price and Availability
For now, the Sony Xperia 8 will remain exclusive to Japan. It is expected to arrive later in October with a price tag of around JPY54,000 (about $505). It will be available in color variants of black, white, orange, and blue.

Last week, we saw several photos of an unreleased Motorola smartphone online. The photos appeared on a Motorola Latin America community page on Facebook.

Arguably the most intriguing part of the photos posted is the presence of a mechanical pop-up selfie camera. Motorola has yet to include this in any of its smartphones so far.

The phone has a full display with almost no bezels. The bezel at the bottom is the biggest, and even that is small.

Given the “confidential” marking on the lower bezel of the device, they may just be a Motorola prototype. On the back of this phone is an illuminated Moto batwing logo.

The photos came in two posts with one speculating that the phone is a new Moto One variant. Well, it could also be the Moto G successor. Even though most of the members of the community agree it could be a Moto One device, we are not ruling a Moto G out.

The Realme X2 Pro is coming soon. We do not know the exact launch date yet, but the features we know so far are keeping us expectant. The company sold over 2.2 million smartphones last week, and the X2 Pro may bring many more sales.

The Realme X2 Pro will come with the powerful Snapdragon 855+ chipset. It will feature a 90Hz notched display. It will also come with a telephoto camera.

However, the main selling point of the Realme X2 is probably that it will feature Dual Stereo Speakers. This will make it the first device from Realme to feature such.

The Chinese phone maker confirmed this in a video on Twitter. The company tweeted a video revealing that the Realme X2 Pro will boast dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification.

The current Realme X lineup already features Dolby Atmos, but that only works when you plug in earphones. With the Realme X2 Pro, you can enjoy enhanced audio through the device speakers as well.

On the camera front as well, the Realme X2 Pro does not disappoint. It will sport a 64MP quad-camera setup on the rear. Placed in the center, it will include a telephoto unit supporting 20x hybrid zoom. It will also have an 8MP ultrawide angle camera with an FOV of 115 degrees which will allow you to capture macro shots.

We do not yet know the battery capacity of the Realme X2 Pro. However, Realme has confirmed that it will support 50W SuperVOOC charging.

Apple only recently released the iPhone 11 series to much acclaim in some regions and not so much in others. Now, reports have it that Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 13.1, is putting a 5W cap on some wireless chargers.

It appears that this issue affects both Apple-certified and non-certified wireless pads. According to reports though, it does not affect Qi wireless chargers from Anker, Belkin, and Mophie.

ChargerLab reports that with iOS 13.1, Apple only supports 7.5W wireless charging for pads that support fixed-frequency voltage regulation which Apple recommends.

What this means is that even the new iPhone 11 lineup tops out at 5W on chargers which delivered 7.5W on iOS 13. It is of note that the iPhone 11 lineup normally supports up to 10W fast wireless charging.

Apple brought 5W wireless charging to its 2017 lineup- the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

When the company released the iOS 11.2, those iPhone models could also enjoy faster 7.5W speeds. This was possible with Apple-certified Qi wireless chargers.

Now, this is not to say that the iPhone XS lineup and the iPhone 11 lineup cannot enjoy beyond 5W wireless charging. With the right wireless charging pad, you can get up to 10W.

Google researchers have detected a serious security flaw in a number of Android devices. These devices include the Google Pixel, Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, and Huawei P20. LG’s Oreo phones are also not left out.

Other phones on the list are the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi A1, Oppo A3, and Moto Z3. These devices require additional patching.

This security flaw, known as the Zero-Day exploit, is part of the Android system kernel. It can allow an attacker to gain root access on a phone. What this means is that if your phone is affected, the attacker could access your data and modify system apps. They can even track your location.

Google reports that it found the flaw seven days ago. However, the tech giant said that it is actually not as serious as it sounds. So, you do not exactly have to get all concerned and afraid.

According to Google, the flaw requires the installation of a malicious software. So, basically, this can only happen with the user’s permission. This is why Google has rated the vulnerability as “high” and not “severe”.

What is odd is that this issue was supposed to be patched back in December 2017. But the patch was pushed back and was not later maintained in subsequent versions.

The exploit is believed to be used by Israeli NSO Group, a company that has been implicated in attacks on human rights and political activists. However, NSO Group denies this claim.

Senator Ahmed Lawan has been elected as Senate President. The Senator representing Yobe North won the election by defeating Senator Ali-Ndume of Borno South.

Out of a total of 107 votes cast, Lawan polled 79 while Ali-Ndume polled 28 votes.

The announcement was made by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Mohammed Sani-Omolori in Abuja. He announced that 107 Senators-elect voted.

After taking the oath of allegiance and that of office, Lawan was immediately sworn in by the CNA.

Apple has just announced the Apple Arcade, a subscription service for accessing premium games. What this means is that as an Apple device user, you will be able to download and play hundreds of amazing premium games with a single subscription.

Apple Arcade is set to launch this fall. With this service, all the games you download will be playable on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs. These games will be available offline, and they will be accessible to up to six different family members. What’s more, they will not feature any ads or in-app purchases!

Apple Arcade will tend to solve the problem of free-to-play garbage that has almost taken over the App Store since the “demise” of premium games. This subscription service will enable premium games to compete once again.

Now, this is probably amazing news to iOS gamers, but it is definitely extremely bad news for Android gamers; this is considering the fact that Apple Arcade games will be exclusive to Apple Arcade.

As it stands, some games that you are probably looking forward to on Android will eventually not find their way to Android. Already, a number of high-profile future releases have been announced for Apple Arcade. This means that unless something comes up to change the situation, games like Oceanhorn 2, Where Cards Fall, and Beyond a Steel Sky may never come to Android now.

We really cannot blame the developers for taking that route though. Android games are so notorious for piracy that many developers have to come up with a model that is entirely different, just to release a premium game on the platform. It appears like Android gamers are so against the idea of paying for quality, premium games.

Now, we can only wait to see what Google’s response to this will be. The company recently announced the Google Stadia, but this does not work in the same manner as Apple Arcade. So, that is definitely not the alternative we want to see.

So, it's Google's move now. Let's see if they have what it takes to tackle this apparent take-over by Apple.

Wizards of the Coast has just announced Valor's Reach, it's brand new collectible card game that takes place in the Magic: The Gathering universe. This new game is, however, quite different from other Magic games in the sense that it comes with a much faster pace.

Valor's Reach is all about 1v1 battles that last only a few minutes - snappy battles, you might say.

As you progress in this game, you will create and customize your own deck, collecting cards along the way. You can also play as any of various Planeswalker heroes available, each with its own unique cards.

Just like most conductors, Tunde could only afford managed to feed and clothe himself. He couldn't afford to rent an apartment he would sleep under a bridge or inside the bus. Few months into the job, he had a heated argument with his driver and this led to him calling it a quit.

After a while, Tunde decided to go into market plantain selling to be specific. He would visit Ojuwoye market in Mushin to buy plantain and then resell at another market. The business really helped him a lot financially and it was way better than his former job. Fortunately for him, he met Odunlade Adekola while he was anchoring a local meeting at Mushin. Tunde decided to walk up to him and asked him to help in building his acting career which Odunlade agreed to after some few minutes of discussion. Later on, Odunlade Adekola offered him a role in a movie and he played his part excellently. Since then, Babatunde Owokoniran has continued to develop himself and his career.

Babatunde Owokoniran decided to back to school and further his education. He later gained admission into Lagos State University (LASU) to study Industrial Relation and Personnel Management. He graduated in 2010.

Babatunde Owokoniran is married to Tunmise, an American citizen. They met during one of Tumise`s visit to Nigeria. He proposed to her on the 19th of January 2016 at the airport. They finally got married on the 24th of January 2016 and they have a beautiful girl to show for it.

Microsoft's Project xCloud is a streaming service that aims to bring Xbox games to our mobiles. This means that you will be able to enjoy Xbox gameplay on your mobile device. The project will enter public trials later this year.

Microsoft has released a gameplay footage of the Forza 4 being played on a phone, and it actually looks pretty nice. Good news for Android gamers, the footage was taken on an Android device, rather than iOS.

The Project xCloud is not meant to replace consoles themselves, so Xbox fans have nothing to be worried about. This project simply provides more avenues to enjoy your favorite Xbox games.

The incumbent Senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki who ran under People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last Saturday National Assembly election has lost his seat to former majority leader in the state assembly Dr. Ibrahim Oloriegbe Of All Progressives Congress (APC)

The result was officially announced at the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) office located at Mandate area, Adewole Ilorin by returning officer for kwara Central Senatorial Election Professor Olawole Olatunbosun from University Of Ilorin.

Result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission Sunday evening showed that in Ilorin West, APC polled 51, 531 while the PDP polled 30,075. The number of registered voters were 224, 494. While accredited voters were 91,130.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the winner of the House of Representatives poll for the Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal Constituency, Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State.

Out of the 207,695 registered voters, Mr Olatunbosun of the APC won Saturday’s poll with 27,115 votes while the PDP candidate, Adeagbo Fasasi, polled 24,139.

Mr Olatunbosun is currently a serving member of the House and will be representing the constituency for the second term.

The Convener of the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room, Mr Clement Nwankwo, has expressed concerns about the reports of violence from various parts of the country during the Presidential and National Assembly elections. Highly notable is the report of extreme violence in Rivers State, which involved some heavy shooting.

Mr Nwankwo expressed his concern to Channels TV on Saturday night: “It’s been a tense political environment. The campaigns and the rhetoric have been sometimes very harsh, and this has led to the violence that we have seen already.”

“(Since) we released that report (interim statement on the elections) in the late afternoon, the numbers of incidents have increased and report, particularly from Rivers, is worrying.”

Already, INEC has postponed the elections in some Rivers Communities “till further notice”.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed elections in two communities in Rivers State.

This information was made known by Edwin Enabor, the spokesman of the Electoral Commission in Rivers State. He said that the elections were postponed in Akuku-Toru and Bonny communities of the State.

Speaking on the development, Enabor said that the Commission would inform the public of the new date the elections will take place in the communities, because measures have to be put in place before INEC can go ahead.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has revealed his confidence in the Party, claiming that APC is winning the currently ongoing election in the country.

Mr Tinubu said this when talking to reporters after casting his vote. When asked if he thinks his party could win the election, he said that his hope was that APC would win because they had the support of the masses. He said that the success of the Party’s rallies was an indication of who had the populace.

The election is still currently going across the various Polling Units nationwide, and it is only a matter of time before the results are out.
