Health / Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Beetle: 7:21pm On Apr 17, 2013
@ Gimnaeto, you need to speak to your doctor ASAP. Are you injecting right? It's an intramuscular injection ie u need to inject into your muscles. You divide your buttocks into 4 and inject in the first quadrant.

Hope that helps!

So many BFPs in the thread! Congrats to u all. IA we will all be joining you soon.

Regarding AMH test, doctors were crazy about it about 5-6 years ago in the UK but majority of the clinics have stopped using it and only going by the FSH and LH test as that gives a true picture of what your fertility and how you would respond to drugs. I initially had the test when I had my first tx but I've been to several clinics afterwards and they never used it but test the FSH, LH and Oestradiol level regularly to see how you are responding to drugs and tweak things accordingly.

I hope that helps.

ASA Ladies,

@ Cocodiva, I love you too sis and I do know Jinns possess people, I just posted the article based on what's going on in the other thread about the MOG. It seems some people are split about it and although not necessarily us sisters but to be quite honest there are some very good pointers in the article, thats my opinion any way. And also the thread has been quiet and theres nothing really going in the thread but I can remove that part as per the jinn.

Anyway Ladies, I'm at cross roads, although one part of me is looking forward to my 7th yes 7th cycle. I also read last night that if u've done it 6 times then you have to focus on your spirituality and reassess your relationship with your creator, thats its now a spritual problem. I do pray regularly and tahajud is also done regularly. Is there anything else I'm missing here? And the last question is when do you give up? Do you ever give up? I know 21 questions but they are thoughts running through my head right now.

Besides this Hadeeth, there are no pure Hadeeth to show that any of the Companions had asked for a reward, in such similar conditions. The narration by Kharja Bin Sal Salat has been ousted as of poor authenticity (deaf). Secondly, this was not a matter of reward which should have been only for the Companions and the Holy Prophet . So to conclude that this was a "reward", is wrong. The Holy Prophet's reply was only to ease their conscience because at a place where no food was available and the tribe was unhospitable, things would have become extremely hard for the Companions. Because of the extra ordinary circumstances, the Holy Prophet had consoled them so that they may not feel guilty or hurt. Otherwise the Holy Prophet has strictly forbidden us to make the Quran as a source of livlihood. There are many Hadeeths on this subjects, few of them are:

Abdul Rahman Bin Shabal Anasari reports that I have heard the Holy Prophet say "do read the Quran but do not make it a source of yhour livelihood".
Masnad Ahmad Vol 3, page 444

Buraidah reports that Rasulullah said. "He who reads the Quran so that he might thereby get something to eat from the people, shall so appear on the Day of Judgement that his face will only be a bone on which there will be no flesh."
Mishkat, page 193

This means that those who read the Holy Quran in order to fulfill the needs of this world will get no share in the hereafter. It is for this reason that Imaam Bukhari in his compliation of Sahih Bukhari, has devoted a whole chapter on the "sin committed by those who use the Quran for their livelihood; for showing off or use it as a source of debate." see Bukhari 756.

Ubadah bin Assamit said, 'I taught a surah of the Glorious Quran to a man who gave me a bow as a gift. I mentioned this to Rasulullah who said, "if you are prepared to put a yoke of Hell round your neck, you may accept it."
Abu Dawood 485

The performer (balancer) on a string at a circus is better than the priest who bends towards wealth, because the performer is gaining his livelihood from the world by worldly means whereas the priest (molvee) earns his livelihood from his faith (Imaan).
Markah Sharah Mishkat, Vol.2, page 225

From all that has been said we once again appeal and request all those who make the Quran as a source of livelihood, not to take any reward for teaching the Quran and not to sell commentaries on the Quran, etc. They should fear the wrath of Allah. Remember that the punishment the present generation is receving is a direct result of their acts of associating partners to Allah (shirk). If we do not desist from it and repent before Allah for our misdeeds and make a solemn promise to follow the pure faith of only one Allah, and submit to Allah's laws (Quran and Sunna) with complete submission, we will be destroyed completely, as Allah Himself says:

Travel through the Earth and see what was the end of those before you. Most of them worshipped others besides Allah.
Surah Rome 30:42

Yes, if we cleanse our Imaan (faith) from these impurities then will our uneasiness turn into peace and our degeration turn into respect and honour as promised by Allah Himself in the Quran:

It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.
Surah Anam, 6:82

In this Ayat, the Holy Prophet has himself interpreted the word "wrong" as asssociating partners with Allah (Shirk).
Bukhari, Muslim

In conlusion, let us pray that Allah saves the Muslims from these evil practices and the mischief of these commerically-minded persons and give us the guidance to follow the one and only pure faith of Allah.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Prayers For Couples Trying To Conceive A Child (TTC) by Beetle: 10:26pm On Apr 14, 2013
Alhamdu li'Llah. Indeed all glory and praise is due to Allah . We glorify and praise him and we ask him for help and forgiveness. In Allah we seek refuge from the evils in ourselves and from our wrong doing. He whom Allah guides shall not be misguided, and he whom he misguides shall never be guided. I bear witness that there is no {true} elah {god} except Allah , alone without any partners; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His 'Abd (Devoted servent and worshiper) and Messenger. Verily, the best words are those of Alllah ; the best guidance is that of Muhammmad ; the worst matters {of creed or worship} are those innovated {by people}; for, every such innovated matter is a bid'ah; and every bidah is a misguidance that shall reside in the fire.

The cause of the degradation and downfall of the present day Muslims is not that they lack spritual guidance or are backward in Islamic education! The real reason for their back sliding stems from those Muslims that have started associating partners with Allah . They've even begun to rely on these so-called "partners" for asssistance in daily life.

The tragedy of it is the fact that some of our saints and teachers have had a leading role in this great deception. They mislead their community from the noble path of believing in the one and only Allah . These scholars and leaders improve their own economic worth by fabricating new fads and rituals while padding their own pockets. Of exactly such persons that Allah has said in the Holy Quran:

O Ya who believe! There are indeed many amongest the priests and anchorites who in falsehood devour the substenance of man and hinder them from the way of Aallah.
Sura Tauba (9:34)

It is a well known fact that these type of people not only sell their judgements and accept rewards for them, but they also lead the world into a vicious cycle of disbelief. They manifest this disbelief in the form of bizarre religious practices. As a result of these practices, their followers become addicted and can not cope with routine life without resorting to these "new" rituals for strength and security.

When a call is made for a return to purity and sincere faith in the unity of Allah , these are the people who with the aid of their gimmickry place obstacles in the path. So obvious are these road blocks that one is left in amazement by their actions. Like the priest and leaders of Children of Israel, these so-called aaleems (scholars) and their saints have raised the business of talisman to it's current zenith. These people closely resemble those exposed by Quranic aayats of Sura Al Baqarah:

And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming what was with them, a Party of the People of the Book threw the Book of Allah behind their backs. As if (it had been something) they did not know!

They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the blashmers were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men magic, and such things as came down to Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (such things) without saying: 'we are only for trial; so do not blaspheme.

They learned from them the means to sow discord between husband and wife. But they could thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of magic would have no share in the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls: if they but knew!
Al Baqarah (2:101 and 2:102)

Conduct a random search of the necks of most present day Muslims, the majority will be wearing a paper talisman, miniature Quran, rosary, thread or small razor, etc. Some will be wearing a metallic bracelet or thread around their leg, arm or stomach. They apparently believe these charms will avert bad luck evil spirits, ilness, etc. These talisman, threads, potions and their likes have not been sanctioned by the Holy Prophet have said about these practices:

Abdullah bin Masood reports that I have heard the Holy Prophet saying that blowing (dum), Taweez (talismans), threads and potions are all shirk.
Mishkaat Sharif, pg 389

The practice of love potions like talisman, etc., have also become very common. Many men and women resort to them to win another's love, even if the other person is legally married according to Islamic rites. Here is another traddition of our Prophet :

Uqba bin Amir Al Jehni relates that a group of people came to the Holy Prophet to make a religious pledge (Bait). The Holy Prophet accepted the pledge from nine of the groups and left one out. The companions asked the Holy Prophet as to why he did not accept the pledge of the one who was left out. The reply was:

"I did not make Bait with him because he was wearing a Talisman."

On hearing this that person drew the Talisman, out and destroyed it. Thereafter, the Holy Prophet accepted his pledge (bait) and said whoever wears a talisman, he associates partners with Allah (i.e. he practices Shirk).
Masnad Ahmed, Vol. 4 Pg. 156

Does this hadith not show that all types of talisman are forbidden? Otherwise the Holy Prophet would have definitely at first enquired whether the Taweez had any Quranic writings or the illustrious names of Allah . At the sight of the talisman, he turned his face away and refused the pledge. This conclusively proves that the practice of talisman is an evil practice, and not sanctioned by the Holy Prophet .

Talisman for cures

Let us see what the Holy Prophet has to say about these.

Esa Bin Hamza (Rahimahullah) says, I visited Abdullah Bin Akeem (Rahimahullah) during his sickness; he was suffering from a sickness called "Hamra". I asked him why he was not wearing the talisman that was meant for the sickness specifically. He relied, "May Allah save me from the talisman. The Holy Prophet has said , whoever hangs anything he will be entrusted to that thing only.
Abu Dawood, Mishkat pg. 389; Tirmizi Vol. 2, pg. 28

This previous hadith once again proves that if one uses a talisman to avoid evil spirits or influences, to cure sickness or to remove any calamities, then Allah will not help him, and he will be entrusted to the talisman or potions to solve his problems.

When an earnest and sincere appeal is made to these commerical minded purveyors of talisman etc., to desist from these evil practices which will destroy their own faith (imaan) and their fate in the Hereafter, their only defence will come in the form of a hadith of the Holy Prophet , which they will quote:

It was reported by Mohammed Bin Isak that Abdullah Bin Umar Bin Alaas relates that the Holy Prophet used to teach the following prayers for those who used to be frightened in their sleep:

"I seek refuge with the completer words of Allah from His anger and the mischief of the people and from the suggestions of the evil ones and their visits to me."

The report states further that Abdullah used to teach the prayers to those who could memorize and recite it and used to write it and hang it around those children who could not recite it.
Abu Dawood (543), Tirmizi Mishkat (217)

There are many reasons why this tradition should not be taken very seriously; some of them are:

This tradition according to the scale of acceptance of hadiths is considered to be very poor (deaf) in quality by the majority of Muslims scholars.
The companions who allegedly hung the talisman is himself a narrator of another hadith in which the Holy Prophet had frowned upon talisman; it reads as follows:
Abdullah Bin Umar Bin Alaas states that I have heard the Holy Prophet say that "if I indulge in three things then it means that I cannot discriminate between what is right and what is wrong. The three things are: firstly, if I use a antidote (panecea) which contains alcohol or snakes meat. Secondly, if I hang a talisman and thirdly, if I practice poetry."
How can a companion who states this hadith do a thing contrary to his teachings?
The reporters, Mohammmed Bin Isak and Umar bin Shoib have been unanimously condemned as unreliable and called liars by various Muslim scholars like Immam Malik (Rahimahullah) and many others.
Finally there are no companions of the Holy Prophet or the tabeens (those who saw the Companions only) who have santioned or allowed the Talisman. To attach their names to such practice is indeed a calumny.
The judgement of the Tabein

It has been said by Waki Saeed Bin Jabeer (Rahimahullah) that "whoever removes a taweez he has liberated a soul". Waki said that ibrahim Nakhi was the teacher of Imaam Hanifa (Rahimahullah) said that all the companions and Tabein have forbidden the use of Talisman regardless of whether it contained Quranic verses or ayats.

Many put forth the argument that the Quran itself proclaimed itself as a cire and healer. The answer to this is that the cure is not in hanging it around the neck but by using it as shown to us by Allah and His Holy Prophet . The Quran would be a healer and cure if it is read with understanding, benefiting from its contents and decorating the actions sincerely with the noble charateristics as showen in it. Honey has been called a cure in the Quran itself, but surely no one goes around carrying a bottle of honey around one's neck all the time. Similarly, the doctor's phamacopia contains all the cures but a sick person would not dare carry it around his neck for cure purposes. It is for such persons that the Holy Quran has said:

And most of them believe not in Allah without associating (others as partners) with Him
Surah Yusuf (12:106)

Talisman containing Quranic ayats are forbidden

One of the foremost Muslim scholars, Aabubaka Ral-Arabi (Rahimahullaah) has concluded that to wear the Quran is not according to the precepts of the Holy Prophet . The right thing is to obtain guidance from the Quran and not to wear it.

The threads and strings

The tying of threads and strings also becomes very common. Some use it for curing fever, some for averting fevers, some for averting spirits etc. The Holy Prophet forbids these practices of associating partners to Allah (SHIRK) even on animals, and had them removed.

Abu Bashir Al Anasari says: "I was with the Holy Prophet on a journey when he sent a proclamation with the message that under no circumstances any threads to be tied around the animals." (These things were relics of days before Islam when it was thought to protect the animals.)

Urwah (Rahimahullah) relates that Huzaifa Bin Alyam (Rahimahullah) once went to visit an ailing person. He saw a thread around the sick person's arm. Huzaifan cut the thread off and read the Quranic Ayats from Surah Yusuf:

And most of them believe not in Allah without associating (others as partners) with Him
Surah Yusuf (12:106)

Bracelets and medallion wearers will not enter paradise, but they will enter hell fire

Imraan Bin Hussain (Rahimahullah) reports that the Holy Prophet saw a copper bangle on a person's hand. He asked him the reason for the copper bangle and was told that it was for the treatment of the weakness and sickness in his arm. The Holy Prophet replied that on the contrary it will increase the weakness of the arm and if he were to die with it on, then he will not be successful in the hereafter (i.e. he will not enter paradise).
Ahmed, ibn-e-Hembal

Knife and razors on children

Some people believe that children are quickly affected by evil spirits. As a prevention, every house should have a steel knife, blade or scissors. If the child leaves the house, the steel object must be with the child. This is once again a legacy of the pre-Islamic days of ignorance. Let us see what the Holy Prophet's wife, Ayesha had to say about this very common practice:

The mother of the faithful Ayesha used to receive newly born children brought by their parents for her to pray to Allah for His blessings on them. On one occasion, she noticed a child wearing a blade and enquired what it was for, and was told that it was a prevention againest jinns.

Aysha removed the blade and threw it away and forbade the parents from doing anything of that sort. She said that the Holy Prophet was strongly againest such actions and that is why she is forbidding them also.

These purveyors of talisman, etc., are not only satisified by their actions but also go a step further and claim to be able to see the unknown and forecast the future. To some they say goods are under the shadow of a jinn and I know the way out. To others they say, if you loose any of your objects or goods come to us and we will show you where it is. For some they read their palms and claim to have observer somethings. They utter words their weakminded clients who do not offer any objections. To some members of the family, they will give a talisman, ask him to bury it at a certain fixed spot. Later they will direct other to the same spot and ask them to remove and destroy the talisman. They say it was buried by their enemies and was causing their troubles. In this way, they make whole families fight each other and indirectly filling their own pockets. May Allah save us from such people, Ameen.

Blowing on water (Dum)

This practice has also been caught on just like the talisman, threads, etc. You often see people lined up outside the mosques after the regular prayers with containers of water awaiting the namazees to blow on it. This is most evident on the last night of Tarawih in Ramadaan when large number of bottles are placed before the huffaz to blow on. All this being done in the name of religion! It is a pity that there is no one to explain to them that it is futile to expect any good from a thing which has been forbidden by the Holy Prophet !

Abu Said Kudri reports that the Holy Prophet has forbidden us to blow on anything that is to be drunk.
Tirmizi

Ibn Abbas reports that the Holy Prophet has forbidden breathing or blowing on utensils.
Tirmizi

These two traditions prove that what is now being practiced under the veil of religion is against the precepts and teaching of the Holy Prophet .

Other practices

Besides the blowing (Dum), there are many other similar things being done. Some write Quranic Ayats with saffron on plates and ask people to wash it with water and drink it to ease their pains and put away any troubles. To some talismans are given with varied instructions to burn them with certain prayers to purify their house of evil effects. Some open certain books to forsee the future; some make use of astrology to forecast the future; (some also use birds). To some, stones of different colors are given to forbidden practices. If no one wakes up now to guide the misled, then the future looks very bleak indeed.

To receive rewards

The usual pretence put forward by such business minded priests is that they are doing it for the good of the people and there is no gain for them, but the facts prove just opposite. The sole purpose is to profit themselves. To justify their actions they even resort to the Hadeeth of the Holy Prophet . The most popular tradition they resort to is as follows:

Abu Saeed Kudri reports that a group of the Copmanions went to an Arab tribe which refused to entertain or help them. At that time the chief of the tribe was stung by a poisonous insect. The tribesman came to the Companions and asked them if they had any antidotes or knew of any chanting to get rid of the poison, or could "blow" on it. One of the Companions said yes, but would help him if they agree to reward them for doing so. An agreement was reached for a certain number of the Tribesmen's flock. One of the Companions started reading Sura Fateha and after collecting his saliva, spat on the site of the sting and the chief was completely cured. As agreed the tribesman brought the animals to them as a reward. At this stage the Companions became hesitant and said we will not accept the animals until they have consulted the Holy Prophet. When they asked the Holy Prophet about this, he smiled and asked them as to how they knew about "dum" effects of Sura Fateha. He then advised them to accept the animals and asked them to keep his share also.

The narration of Suleman Bin Kitah has the addition that the tribesman sent us the animals and also some food which we ate.
Bukhari Vol. 2, page 854

The tradition Hadeeth clearly shows that this was not an ordinary occasion and the request for reward was because of their urgent needs.

@ Omonikiba, don't stop taking the wellwoman, the vitamin B ingredient is the reason for your bright yellow pee. It's water soluble and you do pee the excess, that's y you get the bright yellow. In between why don't you take wellwoman conception, it's got more ingredient in it and specially made for women trying to conceive.

@ all, I do hope you're all doing well. I don't know where I got the strength from but I'll share my testimony one day. I've this Nigerian GP who's very nice, anyways I called the surgery yesterday and I couldn't book an appointment with him so I decided to call very early today. So got the morning appointment. I'll be cycling abroad and my prescription isn't allowed in the very cheap pharmacy that will save me money so my alternative was to get my previous IVF doctor to rewrite it and he charges through the nose so I said I'll put it across to my GP today.

I got there can you believe he rewrote the prescription and every other thing I asked for, he did. Just shows GOD is great and its good to always have PMA . I'm having good vibe about this tx unless I get my miraculous BFP which I'm looking forward to. Just thought I should share.

Have a nice weekend y'll!!!

Saw this online!

Salam Ladies,

Pregnancy issues and Islam
O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily, We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge, i.e. the offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh – some formed and some unformed (as in the case of miscarriage) – that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for a appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, (1) then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). [Surah Al-Hajj, 22:5]

(1) Narrated ‘Abdullah (ra) Allah’s Messenger (pbuh), the true and truly inspired, said: “(As regards your creation) every one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for the first forty days, and then he becomes a clot for another forty days, and then a piece of flesh for another forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four words: He writes his deeds, time of his death, means of his livelihood, and whether he will be wretched or blessed (in the Hereafter). Then the soul is breathed into his body. So a man may do deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses; and so he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. Similarly, a person may do deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and he starts doing deeds of the people of the (Hell) Fire and enters the (Hell) Fire.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 3332)
Pregnancy Issues in Islam

When researching this topic, information from an Islamic perspective was suprisingly difficult to find. Especially when it came issues related to miscarriage, stillbirths, infertility etc. These are not topics that most people openly discuss and are obviously very sensitive issues.

I have listed some useful links on the web at the bottom of this post. I also asked various sheikhs, consulted various du’a books and most importantly, the Qur’an and Sunnah. With my extremely limited knowledge, I have listed below my findings. I hope it will be useful to people, inshaAllah.

NOTE: the prayers and acts of worship are about spiritual healing which can also have a profound effect on physical healing too. These can be done in addition to any medical treatment/consultation.

Surah Al-A’raf (7:189). Prophet Adam’s (as) offspring: “If You give us a Sâlih (good in every aspect) child, we shall indeed be among the grateful.” (transliteration: tba)
Surah Al-Imran (3:38). Prophet Zakariyya’s (as) prayer: “Lord, from Your grace grant me virtuous offspring: You hear every Prayer” (transliteration: Rabbi habli milla dunka zurriyathan, tayyibathan, innaka samiuddu’a)
Surah As-Saffat (37:100). Prophet Ibrahim’s (as) prayer: “Lord, grant me a righteous son” (transliteration: Rabbi habli minasswaliheen)
Surah Al-Anbiya (21:89). Prophet Zakariyya’s (as) prayer: “My Lord, do not leave me childless, though You are the best of heirs” ( transliteration: Rabbi la tazarni, fardawwa antha khairul waaritheen)

Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:cool. “God knows what every female bears and how much their wombs shrink or swell – everything has its measure with Him”
Ar-Ruqiya (remedy by recitation of invocations over a patient) e.g. in the case of repeat miscarriages and infertility.
In addition to the above Qur’anic references, there are many things we can do to ask Allah for help and expedite our du’as: (Note: these are recommended for BOTH partners)

Allah’s Names & Atrributes – choose qualities that fit your needs and recite them frequently, e.g. Al-Bariul Musawwiru – “The Shaper out of naught, The Fashioner”
Study tafseer and translation of the meaning of the Qur’an
Praying 5 daily salaat on time
Giving Charity (sadaqa) – even if it’s a couple of pounds a week
Voluntary Fasting
Tahajjud (night prayer)
Durood (sending salaat and salaam on the Prophet, saws)
Going on Umrah/Hajj
Abstaining from haraam and major sins.
PATIENCE (sabr) and REPENTANCE (istighfar).
IMPORTANT: Avoid: any kind of ‘taweez/tabeez’, talismans, amulets, etc. and only go to a qualified and genuine Raqi for advice on ruqya. For more info, check out the ‘Jinn & Devil Survival Kit‘ series of posts – can be found here. Be careful of fraudsters, magicians, so-called “herbal/homeopathic” therapists with “magical” cures!

Update: Other things to try:

a) Reciting Qur’an and authentic adhkar (ruqyah) and then blowing into water and olive oil. Drink and bath with the water and apply olive oil over tummy/pelvic area and lower back.

b) Drink zamzam water with intention of healing

c) Make lots of du’a to Allah to heal and protect

d) For men: take 1 zinc tablet daily

e) Eat healthy and sleep well – a good healthy balanced diet is extremely important

f) Drink milk

g) Drink honey (mix a spoonful into warm water or eat honey directly)

h) Eat dates

i) For ladies: Get familiar with your menstrual & ovulation cycles (e.g. make sure you try before the monthly ovulation)

j) Make sure you let your GP know after every miscarriage (also notify them as soon as you find out you’re pregnant) – depending on where you live, usually you can get referred to a specialist after 3 miscarriages

k) Depending on where you live, you can get referred to a specialist after one year of trying to conceive

l) Get yourselves tested (both men and women) for any medical conditions

m) Read and listen to as much Qur’an as possible – daily – remember Qur’an is shifa

n) Sponsor an orphan, e.g. through Islamic Relief and other charities

o) Think about and consider fostering and adoption – research and check whether this is something you would like to do

Don’t Ever Lose Hope

If you are trying for a baby, like everything else you do, put your complete trust in Allah, as He also tells us in the Qur’an, in the very next verse of Surah al-Hajj, “That is because Allah: He is the Truth, and it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who is Able to do all things”. [22:6]

Reward of Jannah – From “Paradise and Hell”, Sheikh Umar S. al-Ashqar’s chapter on “The Delights of the People of Paradise – The wishes of the People of Paradise”, p294:

Another will wish for a child and Allah (swt), will grant him his wish immediately, and the child will be conceived and born in a hour. Tirmidhi, Ahmad and Ibn Hibaan reported with a saheeh isnaad from Abu Sa’eed that the Prophet (pbuh) said:

“That the believer wish for a child in Paradise, it will be conceived and born and grow to the desired age in an instant” (Saheeh al-Jaami, 6/5. hadith no. 6525).

Dear brother/sister, if you are facing any of the issues mentioned in this post, I know it is so difficult, no words can explain how you feel and what you are going through… family, friends, colleagues, all having children. Although you are genuinely happy for them, it is extremely difficult, as you are reminded everytime you hear someone’s good news or see them, you are reminded yet again of what you don’t have. I tell you, inshaAllah when good news will come, you will never take it for granted.

Take comfort in the fact that Allah will reward you for your patience, your continued struggle. You’ll always be a better parent, as you’d be a better person through continuous self-development through salaat and other acts of ibaadah. You would be an excellent example and role model for your kids, inshaAllah.

Hi Ladies,

Just finished praying and just wanna holler at u ladies. I've been MIA, my siblings stand their many kids came round for Easter so they've kept me very very busy.

Oya Sister Doris, waiting in anticipation for your story.

Omonikiba Why are you waiting for Christians opinion on IVF, whatever happened to you forming your own opinion and doing whatever you feel is right for yourself and DH. I can keep on going with ICSI because Without God it won't be possible. God made it possible for that technology to work, I know Catholics believe otherwise but that's their own prerogative. Like I said earlier just do whatever you feel you can do.

Why are people coming out with this prophet Emmanuel stories. All promoting him. He's not God o. With God all things are possible not to say God can't send someone to you but to believe without that MOG nothing can be done doesn't wash with me. Anyway I'm rambling.

Hope you all had a good Easter! Have a nice week ladies!

@ coogar, I laugh at your stupidity. Someone's punchbag!! O ti bi. They no born am!!!

The only time DH spends 2 hours on the phone which is not everyday is when he's talking business and guess what when he's done we spend time together. I won't moan because he's trying to make life better for us and because he's matured and knows there's a time and place for everything.

@ Nikky gal, Marriage is about the two people in the marriage not about you bringing in 100% and expecting less from your partner. Even your parents expect a lot from you. Be careful what you wish for, because you might just get it.

@ ileobatojo, I'm a bonafide Ruth. Ruth sef no get nothing on me. kiss don't mind this coogar guy sef he just dey ri si me. Need to go and join my punchbag in bed before he starts chatting for 2 hours with his friend. shocked shocked

@ cougar, I'm happily married and have been for the past 7 years unlike you. I have expectations from everyone and I'm ready to give my all and put 100% into whatever I put my mind to.

That's the prob with people like you and Nikky celebrating mediocrity. No I don't and I won't tolerate it.

Wow so celebrating mediocrity is sensible. Thanking God your husband is not out every night is sensible. Yes no one is perfect but babes you get what you ask for.

@ Zeefa, kids should stop getting married. You can't stand the heat now but you started it. I doubt if a woman in her right mind would want her daughter divorced. Imagine this scenario

Mother calls her daughter every night and asks after her SIL and she says he's on the phone with his friend every night. Of course she would go berserk, so think about it deeply. I'm not saying give up your friendship, we all understand how he helped you to the UK and even Nikky said without him your wife wouldn't have met you innit babes.

But yours is a very young marriage and too early for people to start meddling in so a word is enough for the wise and besides your wife is pregnant, this I guess is the time she needs you the most.

@ Nikkykay do you really mean that ' Thank God he's not out hanging out with his friends every night'

So these are some of the qualities you look for in a man. What happened to going for the best. Some of the comments on Nairaland never ceases to amaze me.

Wow so many inspirational stories. This is so touching.

@ Blendy I salute you, sometimes I ask myself when will I put a stop to tx but I brush myself up and start again. Your story just remind me of my self. I've been to 5 different clinics though. But I pray that I get My BFP very soon and not just me ladies, we will all be joyful by the Grace of God. He that did it for Blendy will surely do it for us all. That's my prayer.

Inwangobio, Massive Congrats to yourself and your wife! I'm so chuffed for you two.

And to all the other ladies, it's FRIDAY. So let your hair down. GOD will do it for us all.
Health / Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Beetle: 4:22am On Mar 12, 2013
@ Ticha I beg to differ, NHS only puts one back but most private clinic will put 2 back and if u go abroad especially to any European country ure on your own, they can put up to a maximum of 5 sef.

@ Gimnaeto, you need to go back to your clinic with loads of questions. Are they willing to do something different , how was the sperm, how many eggs was retrieved, how well did you respond to stimulation. And if you want to go to a new clinic, remember to go with your old file so at least they have something to start with as opposed to starting all over again. In UK you go for a follow up consultation after uve had a BFN where they will look at your file with the hope of tweaking things here and there. I think the most essential thing after having a negative esp with ICSI is the sperm parameter, the sperms or the male whatever starts working from day 3, if you lose of embies after this day then you might need to take 3 months and put DH on concoction of drugs.

Happy Mother's Day to you all

I've been so lazy to post, so many things on my mind. Anyways ladies may all our prayers and fast bring us all happiness and joy this month.

Igabe, my heart bleeds for you. God will answer your prayer, just keep on praying. Much love!

Omonikiba Happy Belated Birthday, I'm sure you ate your heart out when you broke your fast.

To the rest of the ladies, I'm waving at y'all

Have a blessed week!

Happy Mothers Day to you all!

I don't normally post here but DH wants us to go for another tx nd this will be the 7th, lost all the excitement and will just go with the flow.I produce a lot of eggs but things seem to go downhill from there, day 3 is when the male hormones kick in and this is when we lose most of our embies.

@ Ticha you must be rattling. That's way too much vitamin to be taking. If you check the ingredient of pregnacare it's got most of vitamins in there already. Are they sure it was polyps At least you had a good clean down there!

@ Tanidabi, my heart bleeds for you. After a negative I cry for a while and then start planning another one. Easter is nearly here, just take the time out to heal who knows you might just get that BFP whilst ure chilling out.

Anyways will be posting more often but really and truly I've lost the passion.

Ok who is the moderator of this thread so we can make it sticky and we don't have to flick through pages and pages before we find this thread.

Salam!!! Yay my own thread.

Come Dec Insha ALLAH. I would have been trying for 8 years. I don't know where I got the strength from. It's been difficult but Alhamdullah I'm alive. I've done 6 IVF tx and I'm trying to cajole my DH that we should go to Umrah but he's not yielding o. Right now I don't even know what to do!

Zezzy baby, I know how hard it can be and I pray ALLAH makes it easy for you.

My daddy said we should have plan b, c ..... So I'm looking into adoption. I've got so much love to give a child it's so unbelievable.

Hello Ladies!!!

I've been reading about you all swearing by this concoction, what is mustard seed? What does it look like, what is it called in Yoruba? And is it for women only? Is it suitable for men as well?

What are the plans for Saturday?

Thanks y'all.

Chai you ladies can chat!

I swear no personals from me. How can I keep up with you lots.

It's still the waiting and praying game.

This happened to me in Jan, like you all know been I don't joke with my midnight prayers(tahajud), so in Jan my imam kept on asking me to have a pregnancy test after an unending straight 25 day prayer with fast, it was tough but God made it easy. I kept on postponing and didn't quite believe, also went to my mums she was looking at me one kin 5 days to my period coming. It all happened about 1am, some thing pressed me down couldn't move, this kind of pressing was different it was touching me all over touching my back, guess what as soon as it stopped my period started. I was shell shocked, it was the most painful period ever. I pray that this month will be a breakthrough month for us all. May Hod answer all our prayers!!!

Omonikiba, ICSI overcomes the problem of MF because the sperm is injected into the egg. You've got a high chance of this working, girl. He should still keep on taking the Vitamins cos who knows you might just do IVF on the day.

MamaT, your positivity never fails to amaze me. You are so blessed girl. My money is on the way. Beloved posted an orphanage not too long again and I do some charity as well.

I hope everyone is doing well.

@Mama T, I'm so sorry about your loss. Just be positive and it will happen again.

So when is the next prayer??
