An official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Salihu Umar, says he has tested positive for the novel COVID-19.

Umar said this in a tweet on Monday, barely two days after the FIRS authorities denied reports that its employee had tested positive for the virus.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma says that he will shock the people of Imo with breathtaking achievements in the next 12 months of his administration.

He assured that the achievement will change the landscape of the state and make the people thank God that they elected him governor.

Uzodinma, however, appealed to the people not to judge him by the records of past leaders of the state but rather with what he is able to do with his mandate as governor.

Uzodimma spoke after a church service in honour of Bishop Moses Chikwe, the auxiliary bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Uzoagba, in Ikeduru Local Government Area.



He assured the people that his administration has a well-laid out manifesto that will accelerate the development of the state and bring prosperity to all its people.

“Within the next 12 months, you will see a great difference. My government will shock you with breathtaking achievements that will change Imo State for good,” the governor boasted.

“You will be happy that you elected me your governor and you will know that my mandate is destined by God.”

Believe apc politicians at ur own peril that was how buhari promised nigerians to turn the naira into one dollar, reduce fuel price, 24hr electricity etc but here we are today battling to survive economically are we to even talk about his blood thirsty fulaniherdsmen brothers that has sent thausands of innocent Nigerians to their early graves since 2015?

The funny thing about ipob is that they never think about these things. They just emote.

One thing they forgot was that by the time Ojujwu declared Biafra in 1967, all Igbos in Nigeria had been forced back to Igboland. If millions of Igbos were freely doing their business in Kano and Lagos, Ojukwu would not have attempted a secession.

You need to consider the 20 million Igbos scattered all over Nigeria outside Igboland. If you were them, would you abandon your successful businessrs in Kano and Lagos and return to Igboland to fight over land with your village people?

Those 20 million Igbos are richer than those in Igboland. When referendum comes, they will vote against break-up and they will use their influence to get their brothers at home to vote against it. So, I can predict with certainty that the referendum will fail woefully.

The Igbos are like eagles. They need a vast space to soar wide and far. Igbos don't need to be confined within a tight space. They are free spirits. For the Igbos, there should be no national boundaries. The Igbos need a borderless world, without national boundaries.

We just need to give them an enabling environment, a levelplaying field, a system where reward will be based on merit and hard work, justice and equity and fair play. What the Igbos want is a fair play, not a border. We are free people. The whole world bu nke anyi. Africa should have been like India or China - just one country.

The Coronavirus challenge facing the country doesn't seem to be abating at the moment as a positive case has just been identified in Oyo State.

This was disclosed by the Executive Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde in tweets via his profile as attached.

According to some commentators, the FGN actually failed the country by delaying the restriction of international flights to the country and failure to compulsorily quarantine everyone coming into the country while others are eager to blame this on the Governor for holding a political rally in the state recently.

No matter who we choose to blame, fact is the virus is here with us and we need to protect ourselves by washing our hands and doing social distancing.

This virus is very real and spreading hundreds of nigerians might have even been infected and walking freely without even knowing that they are already infected. Here in warri a doctor friend of mine working in Chevron private clinic told me today that one of their patient has just tested positive to the deadly virus but no media outlet in Nigeria is carrying the news yet.

Rangers International FC forward, Ifeanyi George, has died in a car accident in Abudu, near Agbor, Delta State, IgbereTV reports.

The striker was involved in the crash on Sunday on his way to Lagos from Enugu following the suspension of the Nigeria Professional Football League due to the coronavirus pandemic.

George was with two other teammates when their vehicle ran into a stationary heavy-duty truck along Onitsha-Agbor-Benin road.

On hearing the news, Rangers general manager, Davidson Owumi, was quoted saying, “We just heard of this disturbing news,” We call for prayers in this hour of pains.”

IgbereTV learnt that George had been suffering a waist injury for the past three weeks and was advised not to drive.

Herdsmen who attacked Deltans must be regretting it by now. They will be saying in their hearts 'what we did in Benue, Enugu, Plateau states and many other places and walk away that is what we did here and this people want to kill us all'. Deltan youths are being coordinated by Mr Ogaga to send out many herdsmen as soon as possible and many communities have been liberated. Deltans have also blasted their militants for laziness and their refusal to fight. Herdsmen are now feeling the heat.

The whole blame should go to corrupt lazy uhrobo elders in delta state who always collects bribes from those fulaniherdsmen before allowing them to start grazing in their communities. In uwehru community in ugheli north LGA where they have recently been causing havoc they have mounted their red fulani flag in the community as a sign of conquest anyone can clearly see the red flag while driving into that community.
