Wetin concern me?" I go chop all the washing as long as she give me my portion"-- Mr. Eazi.

She's free to hustle how she likes. Na when she dey request marriage we go get problem. She can rest assured I'm bouncing right then. Mi o raye osi.

I would like guys to get to a Zen place where they see pûssy for what it is, a place to get sexual relief, nothing more nothing less. If a woman is not actively, aggressively and genuinely trying to please you, my candid advise based on experience and experiment is to hit it and move on to the next one.

You cannot grasp the wind. You cannot hold water. You will fail. Enjoy the kitty and bounce. Live stress free my brothers.

Any man that fails to realise that it is in every woman to push a man to the limit of hitting her to play the game of being the weaker sex and be sympathized will never make a good home! It is the ability to tolerate the intolerable in a woman without raising hand on her makes a man responsible man. There is no acceptable justification for beating a woman by the male folks because there will always be an option to avoid the beating!
Rubbish. No man has to tolerate trash to prove he's a man. If the woman is being impossible a break up shouod be next, not beating or enduring emasculating insults.

Don't mind the hypocrites. I served in the SE and all government-owned primary and secondary institutions of learning sang the national anthem in igbo language. That was my first time of hearing the anthem in any other language apart from English. I remember feeling proud of them for doing that, I bore , and still bear, no ill will towards them.

I am happy Ambode has chosen this line of action. We need to be pragmatic if we are to survive and progress as a nation. I am happy the government is considering educating people in the Yoruba language.

People like the man never change. He is who he is. He's begging because he doesn't want to lose a good thing.

On the other hand, your aunt is ready to leave three full children behind and hop into bed with another man, an ex who didn't love her enough to marry her before meeting her current beastly boo but is willing to take in a woman who is willing to abandon her three daughters?

There are so many loopholes in this tale. Plus your aunt presents as impulsive and a poor decision maker. Personally, I wouldn't trust a word from the mouth of your aunt.
RomanceRe: Lady Calls Off Her Wedding As Her Fiance Pours Water On Her At An Eatery by Belafonte(m): 10:19am On Feb 22, 2018
I blame the woman.

Question 1: What did she do to make a man, her man and fiance lose his temper enough to shower her in public? She must be an agent of provocation, and a part of me is happy for the man he has just been saved from a lifetime of emotional and psychological torment. He would never do such without provocation unless he is mad.

Question 2: If he is mad, why did she date a mad man and even go as far as conceiving of and planning a marriage with a mentally unstable fellow? She doesn't seem normal herself.

Like I said, I blame the woman.

monex:
indeed. people easily assume that men don't get pressured. the only difference between the pressure men and women suffer is that women also have to deal with the additional pressure of biological clock.

Family, friends, colleagues never waste time to remind me about marriage. Even single female colleagues older than me do same.
The human male species have kept quiet long enough, and it's time to speak out and fight for our own welfare. We do not deserve less than our female counterparts even though we constantly get the short end if the stick. My people are looking at me like " dude, what's the hold up?" But outchea, women aren't looking to be wives. They're all about getting as much attention and money they can get from numerous males. I deserve better than wiring the hoes that have populated the earth.

Shut up. Married women do whatever they want but you are too dumb to realise that the woman
divorced primarily to face her career.
You have quite a few problems including, but not limited to, a severe lack of comprehension and a primarily acutely emtional response to relatively banal situations. Please, carry your rabies away from me.

Do the foolish women on this thread know what it means to have to speak with your children only via WhatsApp? Not only that, they have to wait two weeks to reply a text that should take seconds to reply? Lol.

She has no relationship with her children and because of choices she made. She didn't have an abusive husband, he treated her right and was good to her children and she still divorced him for nothing. She sacrificed her home for career and she's not even top ten in her field. Lol. What a silly trade off.For that amount of sacrifice she should be the Oprah of her discipline.

Well Prof, even women who sat all their lives at home have 'independent' kids if they do not bond well in the pre-teen stage.

What I don't understand is why she divorced her husband if he was already holding the home front in her absence.

And I don't think this interview was necessary.
True.

So, she could have time to do things that being married would restrict her from, ie, things married D women shouldn't be doing. Absolutely nothing to do with her career. She was not marriage material basically.

Oh, it's an absolutely necessary interview. More and more women are becoming like this woman since women began to see the light. It let's us guys know that marriage isn't really the ultimate and isn't really the big deal it used to be. Women think there's no pressure on men to get married. This interview empowers men with the wisdom to handle that pressure and avoid marriage altogether if they are so inclined.

First of all let's start with your grammar, I am 'a European' man.

What part of Europe do you come from?
Don't they teach the rules in vowel sound in the part of Europe you come from? a, e, i, o, u...

OP, no mind me, we here in Nairaland and criticism are like 5 & 6 grin
In a bid to sound intelligent you unwittingly exposed your poor education. "A European" is, in fact, correct grammar. You were expecting him to say "an European"? Olodo. A and an are used based on the sound of the following word, not the spelling, hence you say "an hour" not "a hour".

Oya, carry your L and go and drink zobo. Oyakhilome.

Great thread, WizAkzy. while I'm in agreement with the manipulative power of a mother, I would espouse that a wife's power, at least, in modern times has been greatly inflated by Christianity.

You see, over centuries and across cultures, the place of the wife has been not more than an appendage to her husband. Why is it that our grandfathers, who we saw, treated our grandmothers way different than today's men do? Marriage, itself, isn't the prison, the prison the model of marriage in practice. Many of us thought our grandfathers were savages seeing how they related with our grandmothers and we felt we would do better. As we have grown and partaken in the dating world and married we have "done better" than our ancestors. We have turned up the fire of romance just so our love interests would love us even better than our grandmas loved our grandpas. Alas, the error of our ways is only too obvious. Romance has revealed itself as nothing but a sham, and just a costly prolongation of the infatuation phase.

Back in the day, a non-compliant wife was promptly sent on her merry way, while the man of the house decided the fate of his offspring, whether to keep them or let them go with his ex; his assets were also still his. Furthermore, he could just ignore his annoying wife and take up another, amping up competition. This was the way across the world, whether in India or China or Ile-Ife. It was Christianity that came with the nonsense of a man to one wife, romance and the most unbelievable divorce laws.

I agree with you, however, that marriage in today's world is a fool's errand. A man is liable to cry bitter tears if he wants to be a man in the true sense of the word and still marry. Being a masculine man and being married has reached a certain level of incompatibility that it's just not worth the risk. The current marriage climate makes it an endeavour not worth venturing in.

Still I would like to get married. I'm giving myself a few years within which my search for a suitable mate will come to an end after which I will have children through unorthodox means.

metaphor

noun

a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

My use of metaphor was perfect. Try and educate yourself and stop making baseless arguments and wasting people's time and bandwidth.

Hmmm..Nigerians and their unfounded statistical figures...All woman don't think like this...I've met and I know women who do t reason like this at all....My Cousin's husband ....from his own mouth, told me how his FIL (who was notably rich) told him I have no expectation for you, told him he never started from the top too and my Cousin was a type of woman sent to him from heaven....he told me all this with his own mouth.

The fact that we now have more ladies who do not have believe marriage values anymore or have faulty perception about marriage doesn't make it a general case.....The problem we all seem to be addressing from different angles; be it politics, marriage, religion etc...is the fast evading "Family Value" that is built on morality, loyalty, God's submission rather than societal dictate.
Ok, most women. Sorry sir.

This doesn't apply in Nigeria, registry or no registry marriage and the countries where it applies
not registering a marriage won't save you from the law.
In short, you are better off having a baby mama than getting married to an "enemy"

Baby mama it is then.

Thanks for the piece of advice.

One more thing. Registry is for the woman's protection, thing is it leaves you unprotected. Refuse to compromise your protection for hers. She may try to blackmail you emotionally saying you'll do it if you love her, let her know she'll do what you want if she loves you.

Happy weekend to you too.

You are the pefect example of the "woman-type" people have been saying every man should avoid....you really need to work on your psychic....riches and prosperity isn't a function of smartness or brilliance , therefore none is to be blamed for coming short in that regard.
I hope your intending suitors know what they are gunning for.
Actually, you should be glad she's being honest. This is how all women think. All women. Look up the word "hypergamy". Liberate yourself and thank me later.
