bjayzeez: Thanks for this. I since then closed my account, (2008, so its been a while) cos I was out of the country for a bit. Got back, and opened a new acct....I have a reference from the supervisor tho. But it's not on a letterhead, and a lazy one from the hr... that pn a letterhead.
How many years of experience do you have in your current employment?
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bellong: 9:15pm On Aug 17, 2014
bjayzeez: Can you be a bit more specific please..... I don't get. Meanwhile I dont have bank statements too...there was a gap between the jobs.

Thanks
For employment reference, a statutory declaration of employment is allowed in a situation where you can't get letter of reference from an old employer. The statutory declaration will simply contain what the employment reference should contain but with additional information on why you can't get the reference from the previous employers. If you can get your supervisor/direct boss to sign on the statutory declaration to add credence.

When you were working in your previous places, did they pay your monthly salary to bank or paid on table (cash)?

If they paid to bank, just print the bank statement for the periods you work there, it should suffice for payslip.
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bellong: 7:04pm On Aug 17, 2014
^^^ For your previous employments, use a statutory declaration and notarize it at a notary public or court. In lieu of the payslip, you can use your bank statement showing that your salary was paid during the period of employment.

You may need to review the NYSC you included as employment, did you perform a job task relevant to the occupation you chose?

Autos › Re: Does Anyone Have An Idea How Copart Works? by bellong:
MizMyColi: Anyone Please?
First step is to register with Copart and fill some documents. Your ID will be needed for the final registration. You can only bid for a vehicle at maximum of $1000 (You only have buying power of $1000) except you put a 10% deposit upfront for the maximum amount of money you wish to bid on a vehicle.

You can either pay the membership fee or choose not to. If you don't pay membership fees, on winning a bid, you pay more for the auction fees etc compared to those who paid member fee. As someone who does not have an auto license, you can only bid on vehicles with "No License Required". If you wish to bid on others, you will have to go through registered brokers as earlier stated.

When you see a vehicle with "minimum bid" written on it, it shows that the seller has given instruction that if bids do not get to a certain amount, it shouldn't be sold. One with "pure sale" means, they sale to the highest bidder even if it is $200 (no minimum bid placed on it). One with "On approval" means the seller will have to give consent to sell to the highest bidder if it meets his demand.

On winning a vehicle, there are other additional money to pay like auction fee, gate pass, storage etc. Your vehicle must be removed from their facility within 3-5 days of winning your bid else, you attract a daily storage fee after deadline.

Arranging for shipping is the next hurdle when you win a bid.... Its topic for another day.

Dear Coach Ada,

I’m having a hard time dealing with my friends. In the last year, most of them have gotten married or had kids and I’ve been a bridesmaid twice. I’m 26 and single with no boyfriend. The problem is whenever I hang around my friends it feels like they’re always bragging about a promotion their husband just got or showing off how smart their kids are. I try to be happy for them, I really do, but they keep treating me like I’m suffering because I’m still single and it’s pissing me off! I feel like they treat me differently now that they’ve gotten married and I’m not comfortable being around them. Am I just overreacting or is there really something wrong with their behavior?

Signed, Hurt and Offended

Dear Hurt and Offended,

It sounds like you’re dealing with a bit of ol’ fashioned jealousy. As a single woman in my twenties I know how frustrating it can feel when it seems like “everyone” in your peer group is off getting married and having kids. Not to mention the unsolicited pity-comments from friends, family, and community members. It’s like you’re walking around with a stamp on your forehead that says, “Single and Suffering” which can definitely start kicking jealousy into gear.

The truth is there is nothing wrong with being single unless you make it a problem. You have the choice to either embrace your singleness or view it with shame. If you choose to embrace it, this is the time you need to dedicate to your personal and spiritual development. This is the time you need to focus on strengthening your relationship with God and determining your God-given purpose, if you haven’t already.

I would also suggest that since you are feeling uncomfortable & unfairly judged by your friends, you begin to spend less time with them. The more time you spend with them as they flaunt their lives, the more likely you are to feel insecure about your single status & possibly develop your feelings of jealousy towards them.

Now I am not saying you should cast your friends out of your life. But, I do believe it will be beneficial for you to spend some more productive alone-time as well as find new single friends that have similar interests to you.

And she answered you by posting the long list. Only for you to tell her she come off like a man hater. Like seriously undecided
And it is a tedious work for you to string the comments?

Chillisauce: Maybe it was not your intent. This was how it started on the 'how to emasculated a man ' thread. Next..people started calling her names. Its not right.

You started it. Maybe if you had just focus on the topic, we wouldn't have gone through all this .
And if you had glossed over it and contribute your own without minding my exchanges with her, maybe we wouldn't have gone through all these.

I don't need to swear. I am not a kid running after like.

Meanwhile, you should read over my post you quoted to understand the intent and meaning.

You think she answered me right, why then did you bring up the issue again if you have no intention of stirring up strife.

Chillisauce: You are the bully. You and bellong. Why are you after that woman's tail always.
The last time I checked, no one pays to open a thread here.

When dinachi was opening feminism thread every day, where you after his tail like this ?

The fact remains, these problems exist and should 've discussed once a while.

I enjoy her thread cos they are quite educative with real life examples.

So chasing her ass like this is bullying . Maybe trying to shut her up
Maybe you need to revise your post history. When did I start trailing or attacking people?

My comments on this thread are easy for all to understand.

I guess you were not there when I took Dinachi up on some of his views.

Between, maybe you need to redefine what BULLY is cos I have not bullied anybody here.

zboyd: Why are throwing stone and hiding hand?

Please do not insult my intelligence by indirectly calling me names and thinking I won't catch it.

If you have been following my topics and posts, I have spoken about abusive women more than once...case in point...this thread..."How To "Emasculate" A Man - Family - Nairaland.

Why did I earlier state: "I HATE ABUSE OF ANY KIND- AGAINST ANYONE?" Selective amnesia again?

Domestic abuse is not gender specific.

As for as stating: "At least the females surrounding me enjoy my abusive nature,"...I don't see the humor in making light of domestic abuse.

But...if what you stated is true...then...the females you mentioned are fools.
Madam Zboyd,

Why would I insult your intelligence? I am not a coward, if my intention was to accuse you, I would have gone ahead to do so without mincing words. Only cowards do what you are accusing me of. You have failed to understand my last response to you and I will not explain myself further if you fail to see my point.

You have 116 topics, how many of them did you write against female abusers compared to your numerous threads against male? If you indeed have good intention as claimed, your topics should be balanced. Your double standard is obvious for all to see.

Yes, I do commend your passion against domestic abuse but you are not the only one in the fight against it. Not everybody makes noise about what they do.

If you didn't believe my previous explanation on what I said, how do you expect me to believe your "I HATE ABUSE OF ANYKIND AGAINST ANYONE"? It could just be a blanket statement with no sincerity since I don't live with you.

Thanks for emphasizing domestic abuse is not gender specific.

Mrs, you don't have to be too serious about everything on a faceless forum. You may not see humour in what I wrote but I expected you to understand what I was telling you if you've got that depth. Alas, you failed to understand it.

Calling the abused FOOLS says so much about your personal crusade.

OK......

I need not join you in exchanging insults. Maybe you need to read over what I wrote. "Your posts show off like a man hater" is quite different from direct accusation.

And how has the rants here reduced abusive men in the society?

If you care so much about abuse in the society, your crusade should first start against the female gender who are abusive- except there are no female abusers.

If I were a BRUTE, it is nothing for you to worry about. At least the females surrounding me enjoy my abusive nature grin cheesy.

Peace to you.
