Nigerian Lady Calls Out Deeper Life High School In Uyo For Allegedly Abusing Her Son (Video)

A Nigerian woman has called out the management of Deeper Life High School in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital over the abuses her son suffered in the school, IgbereTV reports.

The lady identified as Deborah Okezie who interviewed her son in a Facebook live video which went viral, alleged that her son was well-fed before being sent off to the boarding school, but he returned home skinny and malnourished.

Okezie's son who recounted some of the abuses he was subjected to, alleged that he was forced to starve for days, beaten for bedwetting and also sent to a hostel for senior students where he was also dealt with.

Four Killed, Seven Injured As Suspected Herdsmen Attack Benue Community (Graphic Photos)

Suspected Fulani herdsmen on Friday night invaded Tse-Angbande community in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, killed four persons and wounded seven others, IgbereTV reports.

Governor Samuel Ortom, who confirmed the incident when he visited the scene of the attack on Saturday morning, December 12, said the armed herdsmen struck by 11pm when the people were asleep, killing Timothy Emberga Akwa, Innocent Akwa, Terhemba Emberga Akwa and an in-law identified as Orban.

The Governor while condemning the barbaric act recalled that a few weeks ago, the herders came without cattle and killed a husband and wife at Tse-Tyohemba, in the same axis of Makurdi, saying that security agents trailed and apprehended three of the assailants.

He assured the people that security has been beefed up to ensure 24 hours vigilance in the affected area to prevent a reoccurence of the ugly development and urged people of the affected communities to cooperate with security operatives.

The Governor while addressing the people at Adaka said enforcement of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law of the state must continue no matter what armed herders do.

Ortom also visited victims of herders attack who are receiving treatment at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi.

Addressing journalists during the visit, the Governor said he was in the hospital to identify with those who escaped the attack but were being treated of severe injuries sustained during the attack.

He acknowledged President Buhari’s directive to security agencies to tackle terrorists operating in the country, stressing that his administration would not relent until herdsmen attacks on his people end.

The Governor stated that the State Government would take over the treatment of those injured and are being treated.

The Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG), Prof. Simon Ortuanya, has disclaimed a Facebook account created with his name and photograph, stating categorically that the said social media account is fake and did not emanate from him or his office, IgbereTV reports.

Prof. Ortuanya therefore called on the general public, especially those who are linked to the social media account under reference, to disregard any communication extended to them through the platform, as he does not operate any Facebook account.

"Update on the Missing Person

With a heavy heart the good public is notified of the death of Mr. Suberu Dada who was declared missing on the 23rd of September 2020.

His remains were found in the early hours of today (8th December 2020) at Iruvochinomi, Ege, Adavi LGA, Kogi state.

This demonic and inhuman act was most likely done for political rituals the very day he was kidnapped.

May God forgive his sins and grant him paradise

Here’s drawing the good public’s attention to the suspected kidnap of one Mr. Suberu Dada, of Obeiba Ihima, Okehi LGA, Kogi State.

He was abducted by gunmen in a black SUV while waiting to cross the road leading to Oride mosque, beside St. Paul's Church Obeiba, Ihima.

Eyewitness reported the vehicle drove quickly from Okene axis, picked him up and sped off through Ege Road.

Any information leading to his whereabouts should be made known to the nearest Nigeria Police and all social media platforms including members of his family and friends.

We pray God protects him safely till his return and touches the heart of the kidnappers to release Suberu unhurt.

Angry mob set three suspected armed robbers ablaze in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday morning, December 8, IgbereTV reports.

It was gathered that two members of a 3-man robbery gang were caught after they robbed a house at Emeberin street about 2:am and were set ablaze along Okumagba avenue by Emebiren junction.

The owner of the house was said to have raised an alarm and vigilante group in the area swung into action, arrested the suspected robbers. However, angry mob came out and beat the suspects to pulp before setting them ablaze.

According to an eyewitness, the third suspect was later caught at Ojabugbe street, along Okumagba Road, where he was also beaten up and set ablaze by the angry mob.

The Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division in Warri, CSP Benjamin Igometi confirmed the incident to Vanguard in a telephone chat.

"They just called me now that some robbers came to attack in that area and they caught them and they were lynched. That’s what I heard.” he said.
