Politics / Re: Bill Gates Hits Nigeria Again: "Your Investment In Health, Education Not Good" by BennyMaiNasara(m): 9:08am On Mar 27, 2018
“The Nigerian government’s economic recovery and growth plan identify investing in our people as one of three strategic objectives. But the execution priorities don’t fully reflect people’s needs, prioritising physical capital over human capital,” he had said.

“People without roads, ports, and factories can’t flourish. And roads, ports and factories without skilled workers to build and manage them can’t sustain an economy.”

Now that's the point in a nutshell as Bill Gates rightly pointed out. Most of those industries around do not belong to Nigerians even if they do they are manage by the Lebanese or Asians . so of what good is an economic recovery plan if it was not first of all based on the needs assessments of the people?
Health care is a crucial aspect of every society no wonder our elite have no confidence in out health system, at every slight headache they are flown abroad for treatment. Having good roads is not enough, invest in the peoples capacity.

my cousin was emotionally and verbally abused so much that he had to save money and ran away from home from Lagos to kano.dude finished university and nysc and the mom will rain insult on him why he hasn't gotten a job and how daft he is for them not employing him .it became too much that he suffered depression, told me he will leave the house any time soon and I said fine.

When the mom was all alone in the house and was looking for him everywhere THAT was when she realized how badly she TREATED that boy
some parents feel the way to get someone do better is by yelling and insulting while others know otherwise.

Crime / Re: Victims Of Herdsmen Attack Buried In A Mass Grave In Plateau State. Graphic Pics by BennyMaiNasara(m): 8:59am On Mar 14, 2018
Obviously this is beyond Buhari, 2015 general election gave birth to a political scene characterized with accusation, blackmail and finger pointing. Some thought they could rule forever while others got power that they were not due for. According to Myles Munroe " Politicians target the next election while leaders target the next generation" we need leaders not people who do not have value for people's lives. People's lives does not matter again! by any means possible people want to maintain and get power, what happens to peoples conscience? The security agencies need to be held accountable to a large extent, they also have been politicized, not for once have there been any news for the arrests of any herdsman/herdsmen even if there was what happen such people don't face the due process of prosecution. The problem started when those men were allowed to execute alleged terrorist and criminals without proper investigation or due process there by taking the laws into there hands and bloods on their heads, thus, one may want to ask where's the place of the law in our society? is it only applicable to some people and not all? is it only functioning to a particular institution?
There is need for Accountability in our political/Administrative scene. Enough is enough!!!
Politics / Re: Hate Speech: 5 Important Things You Should Be Aware Of by BennyMaiNasara(m): 10:49am On Mar 08, 2018
.What the bill notes
“A person who uses, publishes, presents, produces, plays, provides, distributes and/or directs the performance of any material, written and/or visual, which is threatening, abusive or insulting or involves the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, commits an offence, if such person intends thereby to stir up ethnic hatred, or having regard to all the circumstances, ethnic hatred is likely to be stirred up against any person or person from such an ethnic group in Nigeria.”

Looking at this I feel its a way to go, if it will enhance Tolerance of all kind in our beloved country. Because some part of this country esp the Northern axis had in past times experience religious and ethnic clashes resulting to loss of lives and properties as a result of a "Reported speech by someone" (esp clerics and tribal and ethnic heads), publications or an intentional hate speech targeted at a group as the case maybe. I don't think this is meant to victimize anyone but rather a caution to the general populace.

Family / Re: Did You Have This Kind Of Parent As A Kid? How Did You Survive? by BennyMaiNasara(m): 11:45am On Feb 28, 2018
Peculiar family issues that most people had to deal with esp those born in the 80's through early 90's. Issues like Strict parenting, hostility within the home, transfer of aggression, physical or verbal violence and the likes which tends to damage the child's emotional, mental and physical capacity thereby resulting to Low Self Esteem and other psycho-social crises even as adults.
I really appreciate your courage to open up on such an issue which forms part of the life story of most adults and young persons in our societies today. You're a survivor and many others out there should feel the same.
We may also want to consider some contributory factors to the way and manner our parents behaved towards us; which could be social, cultural, religious that could have influence their perception and affected their family lives of which the children had to bear the shocks. I also want to believe most of them would have behaved differently if they've had the exposure and understanding we have now. we're a reflection of where we come from ( as in home training, perception deposition from our parents and society and how we relate all together) the only thing we owe ourselves is not excuses but rather struggle to be better, so engage in meaningful association, read books and materials, go places, meet new people to widen your horizon because things can only get better and we'd be better than our parents. There's a huge generational change. we're in the computer age I mean, we communicate freely, get information at ease that we can access useful materials to enhance our capacity. Let our past not hunt us and we should not give it a chance to. we should do different right now, we're our encouragements. I'm glad we have such platforms so we can relate to lifetime happenings and feel better.
And lastly, we should be grateful for them, we're what we are because of them. Experiences sharpen us so "you know better you do better" and last last nobody's perfect.

With the current state of instability anyone caught for misconduct of any kind would either be labelled as a cultist, herdsman or bokoharam. soldiers go just carry guns and knives snap you. After much beatings I'm sure you wont be able to say a thing. Meanwhile the real bad guys are roaming scot-free.
But notwithstanding, the Armed Forces and the Police are still making commendable efforts to bring an end to terror reign irrespective of the political and ethnic interference.

Health / Re: Egg Donor Chronicles: My Experience In A Nigerian Fertility Clinic (with Pics) by BennyMaiNasara(m): 5:26pm On Feb 20, 2018
Vickify:
20/02/18

Yesterday, I finally underwent the egg collection procedure. I don't have much to say about it because the memory is kinda fuzzy and the eggs retrieval process itself issa blur. I just remember being taken into the egg collection room, meeting the doctor (Not my crush, Margret Thatcher incarnate angry - she was kinda friendly sha). She inserted the IV on my right arm and the nurse put my left arm in the blood pressure machine. After the anaesthetic started taking effect, I started slipping in and out of consciousness and felt when the doctor was pricking my ovaries with the long needle, it hurt just as when I injected my skin. Anyways, I started coming around when the doctor said that was all of it and the nurse told her they had gotten eight containers of fluids. I remember when she helped me up and I asked her if they were done already and she replied in the affirmative. The whole thing didn't take more than thirty minutes like even my sister that escorted me agreed. I also remember asking the nurse how many eggs they were able to collect but she said they would know after the embryologist has examined the fluids. I got to the recovery room and slept off immediately. I woke up probably an hour later and most of the fuzzy feeling was gone. I was discharged a few minutes later after the nurse confirmed I wasn't feeling dizzy or nauseous. She gave me instructions on the drugs to take and told me I may feel a lot of pain after the pain meds wear off.

I felt really weak on the journey home and felt the urge to sit down. When we got to the bus/stop, I had sunstroke and had to whip on my shades to shield my eyes from the suddenly harsh sun. We eventually made it home and I slept off almost immediately. I had a long rest but woke up feeling constipated, must be one of the drugs they gave me (they advised me to drink lots of fluids and I'm still on it)

After 24 hours of rest and drinking lots of water, I'm feeling better and I've been able to pass out faecal matter. I didn't feel the pain the nurse said I would feel so the stash of panadol they gave me will last me for period cramps for the rest of the year.

On a whole, I think the entire experience has been rather painless, considering most of the scary stories I read online. But note, I didn't narrate this to down play some of the negatives other donors have encountered, I'm only telling this from my experience. I think the good experience I had is thanks to the doctors who knew the best protocol for me and used it. My pain threshold is medium so if you're like me, you won't be overly scared of injections.

I received my alert today and can't wait for the next cycle coming up in May/June.

PS: To those it may concern
Only females get paid at least a 100k and above for one egg donation cycle in Nigeria. To the males, remuneration goes from 5-10k depending on the sperm quality.

As the layer hen wey you be na.....hahahah. I go need 40 crates how e go b? I feel someone is trying to sell an idea to Nigerians which is not common. have you thought of the long run implication of your action if at all its true? 100k at the moment seems cool sha.
