Y do u think once u get a US visa, your chances of getting a Canadian visa becomes high or vice versa? Or if you have a Canadian PR and apply for a US visa... They give you 10 years. Also a Canadian citizen can easily get an N1 visa to work in the US so long the person holds a minimum of a bachelor's degree based on the NAFTA (North America Free Trade Agreement).

So it's a known thing and honestly, I won't be shocked if t some point they create a special route for citizens of America and perhaps Mexico to relocate to their country, especially in times that US are placing bans on immigration

I have lived in Canada for 5 years.Thats quite some time to understand what's happening ..Canadians don't like Americans because they are seen as crazy, rude and brash.I know the feeling because I am in the system.Right now Canadians don't want to see any American here nor their cars...because of how poorly they have dealt with the Corona virus in the USA. So what do those Americans do..they lie that they are going to Alaska that they should let them pass through Canada only to end up somewhere in Canada. They insist and have kept the border closed since to non-essential travel. As a matter of fact if you are American and they see you galivanting around in Canada. They will report you to the police and you will be fined heavily..That's current status..just so you know.

And your claims that folks who have American visa are likely been given Canadian visa is a flawed claim as I know a number of folks who have been bounced..infact in recent times..Canada has only been approving only 25-30% applicants from Nigeria irrespective of where they have travelled to.. go figure out why?

The other existing claims of visa arrangement to Canada/USA are true based on NAFTA.It doesn't change the general feeling of Canadians towards Americans.

Be on the safe side, no strength to dig where it is on IRCC site.

The information is written on your ITA letter from IRCC..until you get ITA..you are not in a position to see where it is explicitly stated. They would usually indicate conditions as regards your situation changing after you receive ITA..age..marital status..etc..for which you should inform them and which you shouldnt bother like age changing post ITA.

To be precise, my IELTS expires by end of August which I maxed out, and my birthday is just about the same time (-5 points dancing around the corner).
However, If I were to get ITA with the next draw (CRS 476) and my AOR were to fall after my birthday and the expiry of my IELTS, would that constitute a problem with my application?

Hopefully you get it in the next draw..normally if you get ITA few days before your birthday which would have mean reduction of 5 point when you put your documents together to respond to the ITA..IRCC usually indicate that your ITA is still valid and it wont be a problem..also hopefully you get it before your IELTS expire..if not..you may have to start again...Your best bet is to get everything ready to apply so that soon as the ITA enter you respond immediately..

On your part, it is helpful to be accountable to a matured believer around you. Set right boundaries and be busy with productive activities (including fulfilling your purpose, utilising your talents, engaging in constant spiritual activities like praying and studying of God's Word, etc). Also take appropriate sacrifices (such as putting away your smart phone for some time). You are on your way to victory.

Eviana, one reason I am looking into churches established long time ago (Methodist, Anglican, apostolic, adventist, etc) is cos the hierarchy does not allow one person to command and control people and resources. Good morning. This issue has been bothering me for a long time, and I feel like it's too sensitive to ask for second opinions from people I know so I figured I'd maybe ask some strangers on the internet.

I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and he's everything I ever wanted in a man. Physically, he's gorgeous, and he also loves me alot. He's kind, he's patient, communicates effectively and all. You know, all the good stuff.

But here's the problem, he cannot hold a conversation beyond "what are you doing" , "what did you eat" (and all that boring stuff) to save his life. I'm not even talking about intellectual conversations like quantum theory or anything, normal conversations about stuff that's happening around the world or around us. Anytime we try to, it usually fails spectacularly. He either ends up missing the ENTIRE point and saying something totally unrelated, or he just waits for me to say what I think so he can go "Yeeaaaa that's true" , leaving me really pissed.


He has absolutely NOTHING intelligent to contribute to any serious conversation, and this hurts me alot because it is a HUGE turn off and I'm slowly losing interest in him. It's a very tricky situation because he does/did well academically, he graduated with very good grades but that's about it...nothing more. I didn't notice it at first - before we started dating, or I would never have dated him because it is a deal breaker for me.

I have considered telling him but I don't exactly know how to approach the conversation without being rude/insensitive, I know telling him would really hurt him and I don't want that. I've also thought about learning how to live with it, because no one is perfect right? Maybe I'm asking for too much?

The latter option is what I've been doing and it's gradually killing me. I fear that I'll fall out of love completely with him and end up hating myself for ruining a good thing, because he's a really good guy .

I'd like to know what you think

Cement house like the type we have in Nigeria cannot stand land slide!! Landslide is like moving horizontal earthquake(lateral ripping of the earth) ..how deep your foundation is or type of building material used is irrelevant..
Besides in the western world their buildings substructure(DPC level to foundation) is made up of primarily concrete..the superstructure(upper part of the building) is most times wood except in a few cases where they used concrete blocks.

Also the natural disasters faced by the western world, hurricane tornadoes..you think if Nigerian houses face it..it won't be ripped apart..you must be joking..We are lucky in Nigeria that those type of natural disaster is not prevalent..just flooding which still comes with devastating effects..

I will become one without cutting corners but simply by the blessing of the Lord!!
