met my wife through a friend 12 years ago. he and i went to visit his girlfriend and she was there visiting. the first thing i noticed was her legs, long and smooth. i'm a legs man. didn't think of her again until about 3 weeks later when she came to apply for a job in my company at that time as a market/product promoter in the company i worked for. she got the job and won everyone over with her hard work and modesty (rare for a beautiful woman). Couldn't resist asking her out which was against company policy. she said no. i had no choice but to fire her so that we could date. i told her what i was going to do, which i did, and why i did it. she was pissed and refused to see me for a month. i begged and begged her for a chance and eventually she did. Two years later we were married and and ten years later we live in the US with our two kids where she practices as a registered nurse. So you see, my/her gamble paid off. I'm married to the best female on earth.

i believe we did admirably. i am also sure will defeat all other opponents with five and six goals difference till we reach the finals. well if you believe that then you will believe anything. with the perfomance displayed today, we definitely will not pass the group stage. like everything in Nigeria we cannot manage our potential and are now paying for it. nfa should have built on the success of westerhof but it has been downhill ever since 2004. i propose we all sit back on future nigerian matches (holding a glass of heineken) and place bets on the losing side (Nigeria). might as well make money on it.

My culture forbids that. Secondly, even if it did not, I do not kneel for any stinking mortal human being except for my God. Thirdly, I am not married to an African dingbat with ego so inflated, it would make an air balloon look small. Two of the most important principles that guides me are 1) always keep your eyes on the ball/bigger picture. at the end of the day what is most important is to get married abi? people do not remember the aso ebi you wore or how sweet the rice was. what is remembered is that you got married. 2) what if. what if you spend more than you earn and cannot balance up after the wedding? that is begining of how marriages start having problems. If your woman is of a decent breed she will support your decision to go low key because if there no food at home after the wedding then you will understand first hand what it means when people say "hell hath no fury like a grouchy wife"

Finally, they specified right from the beginning that they are going to reward N5,000 Nigerians and N55,0000 people world wide, please tell me how many people MTN promised to give 20,000/2,0000 or 10,000 and how many have they given, also let them tell us how many people they have collected N100 from.

Obviously you have never met anyone who has been to a visa lottery interview before. I know people who paid more than 500k as visa/application fee and were still not given the visa. I am not faulting the process (I am a beneficiary of it) but my point is we all went into it with our eyes open. same with the mtn/lottery game shows. Why complain now?

you guys dont seem to understand. there is no place on earth that fraud/crime does not exist but the point of arguement is what measures the government has put in place to prevent fraud/crime and the kind of punishment metted out to those caught as a deterent to others thinking of doing same. You also have to put into consideration the percentage of people engaged in fraud/crime vis a vis the population. In Nigeria you steal one billion and you get one year in prison, prime example alameisi of bayelsa. In the US, just the improper disposal of garbage can land you 5 years in prison.

You  have a small brain, there is  nothing like  common sense in the world. Read  the Holy Koran and  you will find out that  the wisdom  in it  has exceeded common sense. Meanwhile these are the very qualities that reasonable employers are looking for. I wish all Nigerians will have an opportunity to sample other countries to understand what I am talking about. Most of the qualified Nigerians in the diaspora who could probably do the job offered to the Indian guy do not want to come back home. The graduates of Nigerian universities are probably not qualified to perform the job for obvious reasons--the university system is fraught with strikes, cheating, girls who offer and have intimacy with professors in exchange for a passing grade, incompetent teachers, inadequate funding, and the like. These results in incompetent graduates who are not properly trained in their specialty and therefore not qualified to do the job for which they are hired, that is if they are even hired.

The only thing is that the Govt. has to enact laws that balance the interests in hiring Nigerians who are qualified for job versus hiring expatriates. I am all for hiring Nigerians, but you guys have to realize that many people overestimate the amount of Nigerians available locally who can actually do these jobs. They are not that many. How many local Nigerian firms can build all these intricate complex IT infrastructures? Probably none. Abeg, make una comot for road. There is nothing wrong in hiring expatriates and trying to invite experts to move to your country. It is actually good. America, Canada, and many countries have immigration policies that attract professionals and advanced degree holders and wealthy businessmen. Wake up people; don't get emotional but critically think of the benefit to our country. Silicon Valley, California was developed mainly by highly skilled Indians. If Nigeria can attract all these smart people from other countries, coupled with fixing the power sector, Nigeria will  be a world leader in no time.
I actually think it is good to attract all these Indian experts to come and live in the country.

Or is it the other way around.   The Nigerian mentality Is not altogether geared towards hard work. Short cuts is the name of the game and they know how to play it well. Una think say na because of technical know how alone. U jst spoke my mind. It gets me so mad that a Tel coy in Nigeria would prefer to pay an Indian USD24k per annum to come work with them in Nigeria. you see that question highlighted used to bother me for years when i was living in Nigeria. i was always confused about why foreigners were always handled with TLC until i relocated out of Nigeria. Just two simple words surmissis the reasons. one is proffessionalism and the other is the mental attidute to day to day activities. The educated foreigner is not tainted with the day to day bruhaha of the average Nigerian and is more focussed with the task at hand. Also you need to see the way we work here, proffessionalism is the key word. That is why people get paid by the hour. You get what you put out. just recently i applied for a job from here just for fun (i will never leave the army) and i shudder to reveal what i was offered. By the time they see all the pali and experience put togerther them no get choice but to offer me expertriate package. so no vex for dem too much. dem want make their company survive.
