@Buruntashi:

The fire is on and it is amusing to me that majority of criticism is coming from the white folks, who have denounced the statement and disassociated themselves from this individual (Bill O'Reilly).

I guess, time will tell.

Pure juvenile experience!

@Tayo-D:

i agree with him that the likes of Rev Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are actually propagating a racially divided America
FYI: Most white men (especially in the south) are being very cautious with their actions and how they treat blacks, not because of you Tayo-D, but because of folks like Rev Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Yes, Rev Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are not perfect, but do not let us get things twisted.

My man, you have a lot to learn.

@Tayo-D
My man, First simmer down, this is not a fight.
I've only asked you questions, there is absolutely no reason to raise up your blood pressure.

If you think Bill O'Reilly is a saint and only trying to praise you, may God bless you.
This statement could be viewed in many ways based on different experience.
I've watched, studied and met this man several times in the past; and I haven't seen anyone that purely specializes in judging folks without any tangible facts like this man. His awful judgmental disposition is unbearable and mostly unfavorable to black community.
When I look at this man, I see an intimidated white man who is extremely frightened to conceive or recognize an accurate identity of a Black man.

My man, when the time is right you will learn.

By the way, my man, I am so sorry to use the word "vivid" wrongly in my sentence. Next time I will pay more attention.
Politics › Re: Bill O'reilly A Racist mongrel by BigB11(op): 3:09pm On Sep 26, 2007
In any case, I am sure we will find the report you allude to to be false.
What is your point?
Are you calling me a falsifier?

Many of you sit down from afar and say the Whites in America are racist.
And who exactly are these people?

Well let me tell you my experience. The biggest racists in America today are the Blacks
It is clear to me that your American experience is not vivid enough. My man, you have a lot to learn; and I'm sure that with time you will get there.
Politics › Re: Bill O'reilly A Racist mongrel by BigB11(op): 1:48pm On Sep 26, 2007
I see your point, but get to know this blockhead, this is not the first time.
How can one (with his caliber) thinks that all black people conduct themselves like rappers? You've got to be stupid, ignoramus and a racist to think this way.

This statement also exposed his untidy state of mind.

This man is a pure hypocrite who is intimidated by African Americans.

I hope to see his despicable show cancelled.
Politics › Bill O'reilly A Racist mongrel by BigB11(op): 3:15am On Sep 26, 2007
This loser (Bill O'Reilly) went to a restaurant (Sylvia's) in Harlem (an historical and prominent African Americans milieu in NY city) with Rev. Al Sharpton. During his visit Bill O'Reilly stated he "couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City.
He couldn't believe that African Americans conducted themselves with respect. The Ass Hole was surprised that  "There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.' "

Seemingly, this blockhead also went to Anita Baker's concert. He further stated that at the concert he was thrown off to see African Americans well dressed; "It was unbelievable that folks were in tuxedos".

This type of statement coming from this individual is totally unacceptable.
This man is nothing, but a RED NECK halfwit. He represents pure white American dross.

For more than 7 years I've done everything to see his show abolished; I hope this is time we are finally going to see the end of this horrible, worthless despicable racist.

Sweet Nigeria, my adorable home.

It seems so long ago; a perfect painted portrait, speckled with diamond, honey and gold.
I truly miss your natural and wealthy beauty, that gave the stars their perfect glare.

The blue sky, the crystal clear rain water, the healthy green fields, the busy market place and the beautiful view of sun rise/ sun set are like a work of art.

My lovely country, my brightest star, a detailed flame of purest joy and priceless memories; very classy, stylish, foxy, sweet and extremely cocky.
You have made me and brightened all my ways of life.

I miss you deeply in my soul and can't wait to see you fly high once again.

Home sweet home, I love you, sweet Nigeria

Politics › Re: Ahmadinejad Visiting U.S.A? by BigB11(m): 9:30pm On Sep 24, 2007
This could be viewed in 2 different ways.

1. It is always smart to get closer to your enemy and study/ discover his state of mind by asking difficult questions that favor you.
Moreover, United States government or media can not be trusted, hence you can not blame the citizens for craving to find out the truth.

2. United States constitution (Freedom of everything) is also one of their greatest enemies. These people (Iraq, Iran, Afgh etc) continue to use this constitution to bring down United States gradually. In Short, these people are playing Bush and the rest like a game of chess; and they are ready to go deep/ far patiently.

I also think that this new development (Ahmadinejad Visiting Col University) indicates that United States power house status is reducing and they must do something to regain their magnificent status back before it's too late.

Do you think Bush has balls to accept an invitation to speak at a University in Iran?

I don't think so!

Politics › Re: The Problem With Nigeria by BigB11(m): 11:50pm On Sep 23, 2007
Yes, it sounds ridiculous and many are very right to be against this action; but we must be very careful and be aware that this action represents social and economic development. Moreover, Muslim is still one of the most popular religion in Nigeria.

It is not uncommon for nation to participate in this kind of gesture, it usually encourages unity and promotes social development.

Hence, do not let us crucify this man as yet; let us wait and see his true motive.

I guess, time will tell.

My man, you totally got it wrong as usual.
I'm not against all things honest and above-board about the Nigerian project as you've posted.

Yes, I'm against failure and I refuse to settle for less.
I truly feel that Nigerians deserve much more than what they are getting from these clowns. We need to focus on doing what is right, not doing the right thing.

My man, do you know the different between doing what is right and doing the right thing?

FYI: I'm not against Gani, you need to pay attention, my friend.
Politics › Re: Given A Chance Would You Still Want To Be Nigerian? by BigB11(m): 5:59pm On Sep 23, 2007
Absolutely, without any question.

Look, even with all the obstacles, corruption and political mess, Nigeria is still one of the best country in Africa today. And Nigerians still represent parts of the best in the world.

Even with the chance or choice, I truly do not know how to be anything else, but a Nigerian.
I'm very proud of my country, Nigeria and I thank God for giving me the privilege to be a Nigerian.

FYI: do you know how many other people from other African countries that wish to be from Nigeria?

Let's keep hope alive, Nigeria will be back on top shortly.

May God bless Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Peter Odili Running From Efcc, No Way For Him! by BigB11(m): 4:31pm On Sep 23, 2007
I'm absolutely against corruption under any circumstances, but do not let us get things twisted, corruption is part of life and in politics it is inevitable to function without corruption to some point.

Yes, corruption does take place in UK and definitely in United States; this is not done openly and doesn't have major negative impact because these countries are way too advanced.

These folks are so advanced and extremely knowledgeable to the point that they design corruption to accommodate their constitution.

In Nigeria, corruption is made too obvious because most Nigerian politicians are stupid, too greedy, power hungry and too many (citizens) are living way below poverty level.

That is the different; do not be deceived, the Oyinbos started corruption and infact, they're pretty much proud of it.
Politics › Re: Peter Odili Running From Efcc, No Way For Him! by BigB11(m): 11:50pm On Sep 22, 2007
Wow, at least someone is brave, bold and intelligent enough to understand the game, the true meaning of the game.

It is all political game and EFCC is absolutely involved.

FYI: The fight between the AGF and Ribadu is not about Nigeria or corruption, it's simply about power and ego.

@topic:

Why are you thanking Akala and Adedibu?
You guys should be thanking OBJ for giving illiterate folks opportunity to destroy Ibadan, my favorite city.

This could have been cut from the root 2.5 years ago, but EFCC and OBJ were too busy chasing Atiku and planning the implementation of the election rigging.

Shame, shame and shame.

Too bad, Akala is just not competent enough to unravel the situation, hence folks, it's going to be a long terrible ride.

Don't give credit to the wrong people, please give it all to almighty OBJ.

At this point, the existence of EFCC in Nigeria is doing more damage than anything else. Does it have to take us another 4 years to realize this fact?
Many still see OBJ when they see EFCC and these people can not be castigated for their state of minds.

Implementing a new organization to replace EFCC will immediately void any excuses coming from the corrupt government officials. I don't understand why dead heads find it very difficult to understand this fact.

I just can not believe how we tend to settle for absolute failure.

Is this what you guys called success?

The type of EFCC I am calling for would have arrested this man (Odili) along with OBJ exactly the first week of June 2007.

It is over 110 days after May 29 and 98% of the governors are still walking around freely, and you expect Nigerians to give kudos to EFCC just because Odili is finally going to be arrested?

Absolutely RUBBISH.

What is the different between Kalu and Odili?

Give me a break, you guys are not ready.
Politics › Re: Nigerians In The Politics Thread: Misplaced Priorities? by BigB11(m): 8:36pm On Sep 21, 2007
@topic:

I see where you're coming from and I totally agree with you; but Nigeria happens to be a very big country full of major issues eg: Corruption, Political homicide, Employment crisis, HIV, Harm robberies, 419, Low standard of education, Poverty, Constant power failure, Lack of water supply, Lack of medical supply, Kidnapping, Boxing fight in the middle of House of Reps and many many more. I mean, we can go ahead and write a book daily discussing issues Nigeria as a country is up against.
Furthemore, most of these folks feel more adequate and comfortable discussing issues around them and as we all know majority are from United States and Nigeria.

Hence, it will not be fair to castigate these folks for dedicating 100% of their attention discussing major obstacles their fathers' land is facing on a regular or that are affecting them directly.

Moreover, it is never a bad idea to send a recommendation to Mr Nairaland, to further simplify the website by  sub-categorizing the politics section into various parts eg: Nigerian politics, African Politics, United States politics, European politics, World politics.
I believe this will definitely encourage people to also address issues other countries have to tackle on a regular basis.
Politics › Efcc Behaving Like Politicians by BigB11(op): 2:35pm On Sep 21, 2007
EFCC behaving like politicians

For the rule of law and the future of democracy to be secure in Nigeria, the excesses of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), must be curtailed.
This was the verdict of the first chairman of the Lagos chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Olorunfunmi Basorun.

In an interview with Daily Sun on Tuesday shortly before he dumped the party for the Action Congress (AC), Basorun who is also a lawyer charged all politicians to imbibe the spirit of democracy and the rule of law.

He pointedly accused the EFCC of acting in manners that suggest that they are politicians by flagrantly disobeying court orders and disrespecting the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation. “We all have to be democrats, we have to be tolerant; when there’s a court ruling, we must respect it. Whoever disrespects the rule of law must be dealt with,” he said.

On the simmering crisis of confidence between the EFCC and the AGF over alleged money laundering preferred against ex-governor Orji Uzor Kalu, he said, “the attorney-general is the chief law officer of the country. “EFCC should abide by the court ruling, if there is any disagreement, they should sort it out now. Because they are the loudest, they are behaving like politicians.

“They should do their jobs properly and believe that whatever criminal prosecutions, is under the attorney general. Whether the man is young, old or average, the positions of the attorney general, as the chief prosecutor should be respected, ” he said.

IBB still very much in politics – Akinyele

IBB
I have always said it that for now and for many years to come, Babangida is an issue. When he talks, they go to research and when Babangida does not talk, it is more serious. He has not talked of recent because he may be busy doing something important. You see, politics does not mean going to the podium to yell or go about organising rally. Politics is more than that. Those who are playing the politics that affect you and I, you do not see them. In every country, there are catalysts but they are few. Those who are ruling the country are not up to 20 and they don’t make noise. The only one among them who made noise and wanted everybody to know he was there just left. Don’t ask me his name. Babangida is still in politics. He is much interested in the affairs of this country.

BigB1 your campaign against EFCC has failed, you can not change EFCC. If they are standing in your way am sorry but the new reality is you will have to change to conform to the new ways of doing business.
Mckren: you see, my friend, this is the problem:
Instead of us to settle down and discuss major issues and obstacles that Nigeria is facing today like adults, you continue to throw stone by personally attacking me as if I was the governor of your village.

My man, for the record.
EFCC will never never be on my way and FYI: if Nigeria crumbles down to dust today, I can assure you that I will be fine. My dedication to Nigeria is purely sincere and I have absolutely nothing to loose or to gain if anything happens to EFCC.

My family still represents the best of Nigeria and will remain so forever and ever.

Hence, go somewhere!
Politics › Re: Is Mallam Nuhu Ribadu Confused? by BigB11(m): 2:47pm On Sep 20, 2007
How difficult it is to denounce the selectivity strategy of EFCC?
EFCC will not and can not solve the corruption problem in Nigeria. It is simple, they are not capable.

If we do not change direction immediately, I'm sorry that for the next 4 years we will still continue to talk about EFCC and corruption and absolutely nothing will be accomplished. Every single corrupt government official will be walking freely around the country and getting richer; while the dead heads will continue to preach EFCC sermon.

And the problem here is obviously lack of confidence in anything (even in ourselves) and this is why we continue to dance behind pure failure and never want to part aways by implementing a much more adequate organization.
Politics › Re: Is Mallam Nuhu Ribadu Confused? by BigB11(m): 1:58pm On Sep 20, 2007
Here we go again with EFCC rubbish!

When are we finally going to wake up and realize that the existence of the EFCC (OBJ's mess) will continue to breakdown the spirit of this new admin; absolutely nothing good can come out of this organization. It is over, their reputation is already greatly damaged and people will continue to cry foul play regardless of any accomplishment of this organization.

Enough is enough, Ribadu is a fine man, but he's not the only dedicated honest citizen of Nigeria. Moreover his position is not an honorary position. I am sick of this power struggle and ego that is being displayed by these clowns.
Believe it or not, it is starting to look like, it's not about Nigeria, it's about Ribadu craving for power.
Abolish this organization and implement a replacement that is more adequate.

I find it very difficult to identify a single project this organization has completed successfully.

Let us not settle for less, the fight against corruption in Nigeria could definitely be accomplished much more effectively and efficiently.

It is clear to all that EFCC (Ribadu) is definitely not the answer.
