N50 N100 and N200 are becoming less common...... ATMS dispense only N1k and N500 and these notes are now more in circulation.
Nigeria will get worse than Zimbabwe at this rate.
Watch as everything will now be priced at N1000 and N500 multiples.
N2000 note is near. |

Leshurr: #1. The Silence is Deafening! When I first arrived in the West, I was so taken aback by how quiet everywhere was. On the way out of the airport, I looked around in awe as the pristine clean roads were not littered with with hawkers, jampacked cars , numerous pedestrians and the blaring sounds of horns! - although, mega-cities like New York is an exception to the rule.
#2. Your Neighbours & The Police: You Can Co-exist with Neighbours for Years Without Ever Saying a Word to Each Other. In the average neighbourhood, you can't make noise anyhow. Everyone minds their business. ... The most you will get out of your neighbors is an occasional nod and smile. Although this doesn't deter them from watching your every move through their windows... they won't hesitate to call the cops/snitch on you at any slight opportunity. Make noise and fight with your spouse anyhow and you will find police knocking at your door.
#3 Raising kids in a Predominantly Black Neighbourhood Can Spell Doom. Bullying is incessant in these communities. Gang culture, crime, violence etc..
#4. Your Child(ren) can be Taken from You. This almost happened to a close friend of mine whose nosy neighbour called child services on her because she heard her baby crying for a lengthy period of time. And the police actually showed up to her house to carry out a thorough investigation on the living conditions of the baby.. Thank God nothing incriminating was found.. Moral of the story: be careful with how you care for/discipline your kids when living abroad.
#5. Nigerian Churches (most RCCG branches) are Epicenters for Drama & Toxicity. Avoid! Just Avoid!
#6. Black (especially Nigerian women) are at the Bottom of the Food Chain; be it at the Workplace or on the Dating Scene. Young black guys will rather date white or mixed race girls.. (may not be true for all) but my observation living in London. ...and at work, we have to work twice as hard to be respected and valued. The biggest oppressor of a black woman at work is a white woman (and in some cases, your fellow blacks).. but not a white man surprisingly.
#7. You will Happily Miss Home from Afar and be so Much More Invested in the Affairs of Nigeria than Those Living in Nigeria.
Need I say more?
#8.You May Gain Weight. Why?? Kebabs & Pizzas Chicken and chips. Cheap and irresistibly delicious chinese takeaways Fish & chips Burgers, TGI Fridays & Nandos
Important Note: This is a light hearted post and just a snippet of my experience so far living abroad.. it isn't perfect here, but I'd choose this over and over again than my experiences living in Nigeria. Your point number 3 confirms blacks are the same everywhere - all their neighbourhoods are backward....or will Buhari be blamed for US black communities too? |

Moreover what happens to the black in the Jamaica,Haiti, Trinidad or what jaggons are you saying They decided to have just minister for Africa because they realized it's a failed continent with same set of problems and little by way of progress..... so probably better to just have one minister for Africa and save money.. .. One day minister for Africa should ask African leaders to respect themselves and seek medical treatment in their own continent. |

Sanchez01: Apparently, you know nothing of the tech world. Just because you have billionaire opportunists in Nigeria doesn't mean they will always be ready to help in sectors that they do not understand. Adenuga's problem is more about getting better market share in the telecoms industry and not just 'throwing away' money to tech startups. This is where ANGEL INVESTORS COME IN. The likes of Adenuga, Abdulsamad Rabiu and Dangote combined won't understand zilch if you go to them for tech seed funding because the tech industry is way beyond their understanding. They know technology is crucial in today's world but might just not necessarily understand why your idea is needed right now. I am not calling them dumb but they are purely business with hands-on production mindset.
The money invested isn't up to one million Dollars because IT IS A PRE-SEED FUNDING, which I suspect you don't understand or know its meaning or purpose. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM SEED FUNDING, which is usually greater sums.
Here's what to know: there is a ready market of investors/angel investors looking to invest in startup techs, particularly in Africa because it is untapped, raw and still unexplored. These guys are tech guys themselves who have walked the walk in the past. They have the money to play with; you have the idea, and instead of grovel at the feet of a Dangote who won't be able to see you or won't even give ears to your ideas, the investors' market provide the haven without stress.
Listen, if a startup tech company requires $50 million in its funding rounds (pre-seed or seed) and run up to Series A,B or C, investors or angel investors will still splash monies into the rounds, not because they don't have anything to do with their monies but because their understanding of tech is very much different from yours or mine and even that of Adenuga who consumes APIs.
There are tech startup crowd funding platforms almost everywhere now which makes it very easy to get monies to effectively run your tech startup.
Africans and Nigerians are typically clout animals. If they were to step in at all, you'll likely be seeing them make the announcement themselves on their social media pages.
See it this way, if you genuinely need a huge money for a cause, health, travel or whatever, you do not attempt to reach Dangote or Adenuga; you use a crowd funding platform such as Gofundme. That is what tech guys do. In this case, they can always come back for more. We call this FUNDING ROUNDS. Onepipe has taken its first step and it will eventually take up the seed funding step later on.
I understand why people believe African startups run to whites or Western investors. It is very much easy to criticise a startup or the African mindset when you haven't walked one. Africa being raw and unexplored isn't good news because it shows Africans appears not to have the intellect to explore it and is waiting for white man or white mans money |

Christianity Etc › Re: Sexual Immorality____ Satan's Bait by BigBashiru: 9:13am On Dec 20, 2020 |
Tonyekanem: A fisherman goes to a spot where he can find the type of fish he wants to catch. He selects the bait and casts his line into the water. He waits patiently, and when the fish bites, he snaps the hook into the fish’s jaw and reels in his catch.
In a similar way, people can be caught. For example, the Israelites had almost reached the Promised Land when they camped on the Plains of Moab. The king of Moab promised to give a man named Balaam a lot of money if he would bring a curse on Israel. Eventually, Balaam found a way to make the Israelites bring a curse on themselves. He carefully chose the bait. He sent young Moabite women into the Israelite camp to seduce the men.—Numbers 22:1-7; 31:15, 16; Revelation 2:14. Did Balaam’s bait work? Yes. Thousands of Israelite men committed “sexual immorality with the daughters of Moab.” They also began to worship false gods, including a disgusting sex god, the Baal of Peor. As a result, 24,000 Israelites died right at the border of the Promised Land.—Numbers 25:1-9.
Why did so many Israelites fall for Balaam’s plan? They were thinking only of their own selfish pleasure, and they forgot all that God had done for them. The Israelites had many reasons to be loyal to God. He had freed them from slavery in Egypt, fed them in the wilderness, and brought them safely to the border of the Promised Land. (Hebrews 3:12) Still, they were seduced by sexual immorality. The apostle Paul wrote: “Neither let us practice sexual immorality, as some of them committed sexual immorality, only to fall.”—1 Corinthians 1 Today, we are living in the last days and the promised God's kingdom is very close. So in a way, we are like the Israelites at the border of the Promised Land. (1 Corinthians 10:11) The world we live in today is even more obsessed with sex than the Moabites were. This obsession can easily affect God’s people. In fact, the bait that the Devil uses most effectively is sexual immorality.—Numbers 25:6, 14;2 Corinthians 2:11; Jude 4.
We need to examine ourselves to know our preference __ to enjoy some selfish pleasure that will last only a short time, or live forever in happiness in the God's kingdom?’ If we wish to live forever in the promised God's kingdom we must resist Satan's bait and “Flee from sexual immorality”—1 Corinthians 6:18. I submit that lust to some extent is biological in that it assists in mating and breeding new humans. Without lust, sexual activity will reduce. |
