Swizdoe: All this apc goons believes is called infrastructural developments are roads...... If that is to be the case, them GEJ is the most performing office holder in Nigeria ( if you think I am lying, go and check the road networks in abuja, then you will know that SW govs are learners)Are you trying to imply GEJ built the road network in abuja .smh. You must be a learner! |
AbuMikey: Its so sad, this is now how things now are.a bit disappointed. I expected an architect who wants to participate in competitions to be in the possibility of things. Things can change. |
May the good Lord bless you and keep you OP. All you talk na true. MODS front page please. |
Carlmax: Ibrahim Idris is not from lokoja either, Lokoja is the best location for it and am glad it was established there. For the first time ever, I say thank you GEJBest location we already have a high class polytechnique in lokoja for gods sake. kogi state ploy. Idris side has the Kogi state University.KSUwhy crowd an urban center when you can spread development throughout the state? The governor was just playing selfishness and oppression by siting iin lokoja. Its already the capital for gods sake! |
donphilopus: OP, did you create this thread to ridicule Sen. Smart Adeyemi and his fellow Kabba people?! Because we all know how he single-handedly fought for the establishment of the University in his state, believing it would be sited in his hometown. Unfortunately, Ibrahim Idris did some underground work and they sited the Campus in Lokoja.Tell them o. Tell them |
porka: The 'dull ones' are giving you people sleepless nights.heheheh "sleepless night" hahaha. No am from earth hence the challenge for the dull ones to step up. ![]() |
texazzpete: The only positive thing about this Ebola issue is that it has shown us how daft the majority of contributors to Nairaland are.well said but I use to think its only in nigeria. I discovered it is a global affair. The dull ones are everywhere:-/ |

Jennydoris: Probably you have experienced all you said from your sister(s).? And just know that because you experienced one ugly character from your girlfriend does not mean that all women or ladies are the same. Just as some Nigerian girls are lazy I also and strongly believe that some Nigerian men are also lazy. And as for standing in a queue God knows that I can not stand for too long and I can as well stand depending on the queue but even men, heavy bodied amongst them still looks for a sit especially in the bank. And coming to using 'K K' words it's not laziness but it's something some people have adapted to when chatting even some guys. I once was using it not because am lazy but for chatting sake until my bros and some other people advised against it and that's when I stopped using the word. So if you think you're not in good terms with the word tell whom ever that is using it. Just know that so many abbreviations have taken the place of some words so the ones that are been used on you is not laziness like you claimed. No, not from my sisters. My sisters sharp die. They strong kankanranka. I said some ladies! Next, we are not talking about naija men. we discuss that another time. you totally missed the point on conversationally skills. its not abt the abbreviations or the words its about the contributions to a converse. lets say I start off with telling a small story of my childhood with some jokes to it then I ask what about you and she says "my childhood was fine or just normal"then I have to quickly think of something to keep the conversation going. Come on that's unfair. Hence why I tagged some of them 'intellectually lazy'. Not because they are dull but because they have the intellectual capacity to contribute but they too lazy to do so. They are too used to guys taking all the initiatives and I want them to wake up ![]() |
Triczchic: @OP.... U'v had a couple of experiences which mos def prompts ur conclusion. Its not a general thing nwayz. I'm unaware that guyz are the brains mostly cos iv met a couple of dullards... Dullness isnt gender specific.thanks for your reply. Just wanna ask a question. in your own experiences how many times do the ladies take the initiative of cracking a joke? making her partner to laugh? Am not just talking about "first meetings " am taking about even those in relationships. The Guy has to do most of the intellectual conversational work. or what you think? |
tpia1: You specifically generalized in your thread title.Yeah I did that to get attention ![]() |
wayne4loan: @ op, stop going hard on our girls.. Mind the words u use remember u mom was one a ladyIf you read through, you will notice I was very mindful of my words. I don't think lazy is harsh word. And I said "some ladies". |
Good evening my people, I don't know if others have noticed but SOME Nigerian ladies are just too lazy both in intellect and in physique. Here are some examples. Have you noticed most naija ladies would rather ride on bike(enter okada) than take a romantic stroll with you? Have you noticed how difficult it is for them to stand in queues? They will always find a way to sit. ^^^ later you be crying when your husband/boyfriend starts looking outside for slimmer ladies because you would have gained to much weight(too fat to be blunt). Now the one that pains me most is this Have you noticed have some naija ladies really don't know how to have a conversation. They leave the guy to do all the talking. The guy comes up with creative and imaginative ideas and jokes to spice and lighten up the conversation but, the lady just relax and enjoys his brilliance as she responds with words like Lol, no, yes, maybe, true, ok and the most hated of them all "kk". I mean lets see your personality. lets see your passion shine through with your words. Lets know what makes you tick. Lets know what you are made of. Can I say it any better? My dear Nairaland peeps, apologies for burdening you with my matters of the heart but it was a good release. ![]() Tell us your experiences of intellectual and physical laziness of our precious naija ladies. To the ladies>>> A little mental and physical exercise won't kill you. Work that body, Use that mind. |
IKJ1000000: In the Recent meeting held by the archbishop conference of the Catholic church various ways to curb the spread of ebola In the church were discussed. The former" hand to tongue" method of giving holy communion was suspended for the time being. Henceforth the communion would be placed on the left hand which the communicant have to pick it up him/herself. The routine handshake in every mass as a way of sharing peace with your neighbor was also suspended. Nobody wants to die! What's your say?All good Pro-active decisions from Catholic Bishops. We have to answer for our souls in heaven. Just as much as God does not permit killing others, He also does not permit taking your own soul. If die out of carelessness, you will answer to God. sucide is a sin. So take a precautionary measures. Simply. No buts!!! |

forgiveness: I hope they see this.thank God. another like mind. Nigerian army should be on the attack not defence. we should spending attack budget npt defence budget if you get me drift. |
seunlayi: just keep taking the battle to them, sitting down and waiting for them will never help us. Thumbs upyou said it all man. Let the army take the fight to them. No more defencive positions. |
bushdoc9919: Basic reason why we are not generating 10000 MWFor point number2. Is it a matter of being scared? I think being scared is a secondary reason to non use of nuclear. firstly we have not exhausted all other possible conventional means of generating electricity like hydron n therma. secondly we do not have the skill technical knowledge for a highly sensitive and automated process for nuclear energy generation(abi do we want foreigners to run it?). thirdly we have not heard a visionary set of government leaders who are ready for serious development. I think the being sacred point comes last In that u don't want to build a nuclear plant in an u safe region like Nigeria where boko can decide to bomb it or where the engineer on duty forgots to do his job like our present day civil servants. these actions can lead to a fukishima style event. and lastly whats wrong with going all green like Germany is trying to do. |
when you fail to develop as a nation, region and continent this is what you get. why is the world copying the West? Its because they are the most advanced. Humans intrinsic nature is to improve, to be better. If we had developed in time by now it will be our culture everyone is copying. |
lyntiffany: I trust Akpabio I know what he can do, he's done it before he will do it again. He doesn't take any shit from this people. Months back he packaged some Abokis down to the north, those ones who does not have tangible thing doing, because it's likely that they are the ones that causes mayhem in the society. So my dear Governor took them back. The ones I know that are left behind are the mallams that owns a very big shop and those that sells food items. But all this abokis that stays in the bush at night and turns cobbler's in the morning is a no no for us, cos they are the deadly ones.ehn ehn so akpabio did his own deportation too. I thought it was onlu fashola. The way people screamed murder like its only them fashola deported. |
Symphony007: there are limits. If you commit murder, you loose those rights. If you commit atrocities that affect the state or the well being of other citizens you loose those rights. Let the government prove how a consexual relationship among two adults of sound mind is a threat to the state or other citizens.Does suicide affect the state I anyway yet it is illegal in most countries. I think Americans and the west failed to condemn this nonsense at the early stages when it started. now its a norm and almost too big to be controlled |
Symphony007: It gives me great joy that there are still countries in africa with a judiciary that does it job without sentiments or personal feelings. No country on earth can have a constitution which protects fundamental human rights then go ahead to criminalize freedom of expression. It is ridiculous and no judiciary will stand for that. Nigeria should take note. Our supreme court must strike down ours if it gets to their desk. If our governments wants it's anti gay law to stand, then it should do a constitutional amendment were fundamental human rights is removed then a law like that can stand. But you can't claim to protect human rights and put people in jail for living their lives because you don't like how they do it. It's a mockery of constitutional democracy. You can't eat your cake and have it.oga you cant dash me human rights. you can't give me what is already me own. Human rights are supposed to be intuitive of every human to give to the other. It need not be put a constitution to be followed. my opinion. |
kabba7: That is primarily because South africa dump him no one should come here to play any game they were able to rate to know the little at the world cup is the determination of the players and not neccesarily that of the coach ( Kashi ).if we can remember clearly he picked those players for the world because of their determination and zeal to win. that was the reason he gave when nigerians complained about his droppings some key players like sunday n rest. so your argument holds no water. |
Olucheye:this comment is just riddled with sentiments |
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has relocated to Karu Local Government Area and is currently sitting to deliberate on a petition against the state Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko, over the composition of the seven-member panel raised to investigate allegations against Governor Umaru Al-Makura. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-dominated Assembly had asked the chief judge to set up the panel as part of the impeachment process of Mr. Al-Makura. The governor, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied any wrongdoing and his party has condemned the impeachment process and blamed the PDP and the presidency for it. It is not clear why the lawmakers abandoned the Assembly Complex in the state capital, Lafia, to sit in Karu, near Abuja. But there have been widespread protests against the impeachment process across the state. Details later… m.premiumtimesng.com/news/165783-breaking-nasarawa-impeachment-lawmakers-flee-state-capital-relocate-to-remote-local-govt-for-sitting.html |
This is why we need to develop our country. so that alk these ass holes who arr forming whole police cant have such powrrs over us. image if Nigeria was like Saudi Arabia will they try such nonsense with them? Bunch of mufus |
ichidodo: Life happened to them...The Nigerian Army of the military era was far much fiercer, brutal and decisive.Back then there was not much tribalism and so we had brilliant military chiefs David Mark,Tunde Ogbeha and the best of the best General Victor Maalu who could plan complex military offensives with sophistication and intellgience far ahead of their time, those were the heady days of our glory especially in Ecomog.I still remember with pride reading live reports on CNN about Nigerian soldiers charging down and uprooting Foday Sankoh's tough rebel group in Freetown Sierra Leone with fire support cover from the Nigerian Navy Warships far out to sea (a first ever operation of its kind in Africa never mind West Africa) Those were the days we cemented our reputation as the best military group in Africa....But corruption, tribalism and, ironically to a smaller extent, democracy has made them soft, impotent and clueless. These days the sight of military chiefs with potbellies are very common....I can't remember Abacha,Abubakar or even the laziest,Nyako sporting such.....aberrations in Nigerian Military traditions. your first comment I have evere liked. keep it up and the likes will flow. |

pls I want to join the league. I don't know anything about the league but its seems fun. Please give me small orientation and my own code please. |
our military seems to be doing well in post bomb situations but I want them to do more before the bomb goes off. I want a more attacking approach to bokoharam. going afyer them in their houses hidesout forest etc. we can't just be sitting down odering curfews and patrolling towns and high ways trying to scare bokoharam off. waiting for them to find a loop hole in our defence. lets the ARMED FORCES go for on the offensive against these people let boko be on the defence not us!. |
