obadiah777: Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses. AMOS 1 -6-7

Lol, whats the big deal....I think she's just ignorant like most Nigerians about weed et al. Madam, you don't have to make a scene out of nothing but if dont feel comfortable about it, read it up on the internet and engage your husband in a proper discussion not based on perception or what people will say or the myth about smoking. He's a full grown man and would have been doing it for years......All the best

How on earth can a General make such a statement and you blame Aluu community. It's just a reflection of our society and the fact that Nigeria is a jungle. The other day before the elections in ondo state, The general Officer Commanding (GOC) Nigeria Army 2 Division, Major Gen. Mohammed Abubakar, gave a shoot at sight order to his soldiers. we don't respect and value lives!

Are you okay? Why do you guys think splitting this country is the solution. I am sure your father witnessed the war, ask him to enlighten you.

GboyegaD: You need to go learn how to understand and interprete data. Who told you Nigeria is doing better than most countries in real terms? I wonder why we either don't know and try to feign we know more than others or we know and pretend to lie under falsehood? It is either you know the truth and you are trying to manipulate it or you don't know and you are trying to pretend you know.
guy I tire o,I think the problem is that we tend to pretend and shy away from the truth. Probably cos of pride, stupidity or ignorance.

CultureRe: Youths Chase-Away King For Shunning Traditional Festival by bigboy3: 1:03pm On Nov 06, 2012
My question is:- did the king interfere or impose his religion on the people...If the answer is no..WTF

1. As a blue blood, he has every right to the throne even if he is a witch, wizard, ogbanje, muslim , christian, Hindu etc ( except otherwise stated in their constitution)

2. Even as the king, he has a free will to practice his religion just like other members of the community and marry only 1 wife if thats what pleases him.

3. He didn't stop them from practising or performing their traditional rites

So what is the noise about, the same way responsible people leave idiots to run the country because some believe politics is a dirty game, same applies to tradition, if we can't be involved and change things in our immediate environment, what is the point. We come on nairaland and scream but what have you done today to help your immediate environment.

This is a very good advice from the Governor. In nigeria we like showing off. If we follow this advice, there will be less hold-ups on the road and our bodies will be exercised. Naija for life. shocked
Interesting but talk is cheap. In as much as I agree, its good exercise and will decongest our roads. In developed countries, people walk and ride bicycles, Nigerians do same abroad but the government expects so much from the people yet the easy and basic things are not in place. Insecurity, no street lights, bad roads, unorganised okada riders, aiye boys looking left right and center to collect your wallet & phones.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Are People Now Afraid Of Bank Jobs? by bigboy3: 9:18pm On Oct 11, 2012
hyelhira: You are correct guy. I resigned from my banking job of 5 years in January this year though I had no other job to do at that time. It just didn't make sense to continue the work due to the unnecessary stress. Unfortunately two people I used to work with (in different departments) have died between that time and now due to stress-related ailments. One of them actually slumped in the office and died. As a matter of fact, I had an offer from another bank then but I didn't take it up. I was just looking for a lecturing or civil service job.

You can check my past posts to guess which bank I walked away from.

PoliticsRe: Your Views On GEJ's 7am National Address by bigboy3: 11:55am On Oct 09, 2012
Mr President lacks character and Charisma, looked boring and dull to me, his media/ publicity aides et al should be fired, just looking into that teleprompter looked so funny but seriously, can't he freestyle for just 8 minutes and check the prompter once or twice . He his the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not a class captain. Anyways, he made sense, clarity of purpose, good strategy and availability of funds to execute but in the name of God, Jesus, Mohammed, Budha, Sango or whatever the committee members worship, they should work and not start acquiring properties in Dubai & South Africa.

Niseamaka: Feeling Pain?. About what?, about an immensely fulfilled 92 years old retired supreme court justice and his son, both of whom excelled academically, professionally and in their respective family lives as husbands and fathers. What pain are you feeling about charleyboy, a man who have been tremendously successful since he came back from the States after his studies with his American spouse and established his entertainment business, creating many jobs. In what way or ways is your own family better off than the Oputas. Compare your father`s life and career with justice Oputa`s, and your own life and career or any of your sibling`s with charles Oputa, then tell yourself the bitter truth.

Have heard islamic cleric sayin muslims have d largest congregation, like wise heard christian cleric sayin there 100 million christians in nigeria. Anybody can claim any figures but i want to undastand why one religion want to feel superior to the other when such hasnt helped us in anyway. Super1759: ehmmm. Mister man, this why I don't like argument. Children that don't know anything. Was MEND killing people or kidnapping? MEND neva had intensions of killing, if they did. OBJ forced their hands on it. They are freedom fighters and not bomb agents like your brothers in the north. OBJ sent soldiers to "shoot at sight" and it worsen the case. Go and read your books, perewinkle
You are obviously a compound fool....as in listen to yourself
PoliticsRe: Salaries Of Niger-delta Militant Warlords Revealed by bigboy3: 9:31am On Aug 23, 2012
PapaBrowne: Ok so these guys are paid like 50million dollars yearly. How is that a big deal? Or should they go back to the creeks? When they were in the creeks they were earning much more. Nigeria was producing just 700,000 barrels daily. Today we have added 2 million barrels to that. Because these guys are paid 50 million doillars yearly, we are now earning approximately 200 million dollars daily which is 70 billion dollars yearly.
My brother, it is only common sense to pay them. The FG doesn't have the capacity to manage another Niger Delta crises. The country will collapse in a second if that happens again. Trust me, this era is different from 2008. In 2008, we didn't have 18,000 as minimum wage neither did we have the Boko Haram scourge!
Anything to keep them off the creeks is just fine. Trust me that figure is way below the real figures. Over 1 Billion dollars is spent to keep them off the creeks. But it is worth every penny as we can see in our improved oil earnings!
make all of us dey carry gun dey threaten the peace of the nation be that, this my job no pay again o....but on a serious note your piece is interesting but i dont support your line of thought, in as much as it looks like the easy thing to do, it is not the ideal solution unfortunately. If our government keeps shying away and handling issues by bribing instead of trully addressing the fundamental problems and empowering them, then we can justify what Boko Haram is doing and get them paid too. This things don't end, they are quiet now because their brother is in charge, wait till the power shifts.....I fear for naija

maclatunji: 1. It isn't a Must according to you.

Yet, you still have to state but thats the logical and rational thing to do at that time.

Do tell, who defines what is "logical" and "rational"? You? Christians? Stop contradicting yourself.
Guy, I work in an embassy and I knw how this missions work. I don't have a problem with him being a Muslim or a Christian but my point is, he should have presented his case professionally. Nigeria is a free country and he's there to represent the country not his religion and that shouldn't have come up in the first place. We need to start acting with caution and not do things careleslly and stop all this bullshit about Hausa, ibo, Yoruba, Christian , Muslim et al when it comes to national issues.

You are still in the stone age....you better grow up. It isn't a must but thats the logical and rational thing to do at that time. He should have actually given a better reason and justify his absence but not on religious grounds....
