Faithway10:
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge emerged full of smiles outside St Mary's Hospital as they proudly showed off their third child to the waiting world.

Just before 6pm on Monday, the Royal couple as usual, posed on the steps outside the central London hospital where international media and well-wishers had gathered to celebrate the Royal family's new arrival.

This tradition of the Duchess, Kate Middleton always stepping out immediately after she puts to bed has got veteran Nigerian comedian, Ali Baba thinking. He shared a photo of her and wrote;

"The way this lady gives birth and is walking out few hours after, like she went to take passport photographs... is making me think Nigerian hospitals deliberately keep some Nigerian women after they give birth just to increase the hospital bills. I'm not talking of Caesarean birth ooo. Normal childbirth..."

First two pictures are of her carrying Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. The the 3rd is the latest royal baby number 3

I don't deny he can't help if he wants to but there may be an underlying factor in his not doing that ....no one knows this except he (Mikel).

Gbabe2:
Guy,
You are totally wrong. If he wants to help them, he can. God has placed him in that position to help and make others smile. You live in Nigeria and you know how things work over there. To the glory of God, I don't have a thousand of what he rakes in, yet I do spare a lot to make people smile every now and then. Givers never lack my brother.
I will share my personal experience with Mikel way back in 2006. I was working in a club in London as "PEKE" that's meant for folks that understand. He came into the club and was buying beer for people, which is typical of an african. We crossed our path and I thought my savior for that day has come. Unfortunately for me, he was like do we have Nigerians doing this kind of a job in London and bla bla bla. At the end, he only gave me 10 pounds which I was grateful for. I have met people while doing that job then, that gave me 200 pounds without blinking an eye.
What I can deduce from such experience in life is that, work hard, pray to God, dont ever rely on mortals and whenever you have the opportunity, give, give and give. It is always good to give and make people smile regardless. Thats my one cent

Good so something must have changed or he went through hell from them hence he stopped. Don't forget his father was kidnapped once, that may also be a factor too.

He may be scared of sending money home so no one goes to harm his family ....it may be for their own good but I still believe his father might have been a factor in his behavior if negative to his families.

You are very apt with your calculations and understanding but what I was trying to convey out there is not necessarily that paying of taxes or other stuff are hindering Mikel from helping his families but rather of relatives back in Naija trying to swindle their relatives back abroad (vice versa). He may have suffered this or more in recent time hence the voicemail attitude.

The truth however lies in his father ....his father may not be relaying the messages or how other members of the nuclear families are to Mikel. There's no way his father would request for something and not get it from Mikel naaa. If his father truly love his own brother, there's no way he would not have asked Mikel to assist trust me.

In some families ...brothers and sisters may not necessarily be in good terms but that is for another day.

Remember also that once married or in a civil relationship with a foreigner, there's always that tendency to have shared accounts in which case both the woman and man contribute into it and both have to be aware of spendings from it. Mikel might have been in such a relationship.

There's no way the woman would allow Mikel send money home frequently with the way his relatives are bashing him for not marrying from their own tribe. She would always suspect it has to do with another marriage to a Nigerian wife. Trust me ....Mikel can get killed for that. Russian babes are not to be toyed with o!

grandstar:
Trust me, If I had 10% of what some of these guys make, I will make sure none of my relations are poor.

Mikel at Chelsea was making 80,000 pounds a week. With top tax rate at 40% and let us add an extra 10% for other things, he will be left with at least 40,000 pounds a week.

In China, I learnt he earns 140,000 in China weekly. After tax, he will be left with 70,000. That comes to 10,000 a day or 5m a day.

Helping others is more about passion than about what you have.

I know a lady whose dad abandoned her mum and her 4 siblings. They grew up poor.

She however the first born was fortunate to have been born overseas. When she grew up and travelled there, she brought all her siblings to the U.K.

I know another guy, his generous uncle seeing he had been denied visas to America a couple of times decided to pay his school fees in an American university in 1983 ($10,000) which enabled him get a visa. Upon arrival in the States, his nephew kept requesting for money complaining of one problem or the other (He was lying as he eventually bought a car with it)

This nephew upon coming home for the first time in 2007 after 24 years visited his uncle at his house in their hometown. He gave his wife 10,000, gave the uncle 20,000. He now left. The uncle told them to prepare pounded yam with bush meat for him when he returns in the evening.

His nephew never returned.

The nephew travelled back to the States and kept coming to Nigeria regularly but never visited his uncle.

The nephew is now late (2014 or so). His soul rests in peace (Ecc 9:5)

His uncle wish was to help each family and they in turn help those beneath them but it didn't work out that way.

If Mikel Obi was truly generous, his cousin's utterance would be condemned through the goodwill he would have created.

Granted, stroke isn't cheap to treat but I sense the sense of devotion isn't there.

You'd be surprised he'll use 2m or more to come for the burial when it is time. Or do you expect him to fly coach?

Do they also realize he now has kids or his playing days are getting over?

Feminists should be allowed to preach their thing unhindered ....BUT they (feminists) should let us females live our lives unhindered too! What works for one may not work for the other.

If you (feminist) is married to a didirin husband and he is fine with you not cooking his meals, doing his laundry or other activities reserved for a wife ......then fine with you but stop tormenting other women who are not married to a didirin husband and who cares that their meals should be cooked by their wives and laundry done by them ....they (other non-feminists) are fine with this!

If a woman thinks that’s something she should be proud of, why even question that? If feminism isn’t about marriage & all why even question her bio? Infact who even questions people’s SM bio? It’s just SM, ladies, live ur lives as u please, don’t let others lives & what works or doesn’t work for others determine ur life.Ur face feminist are humans like u figuring out their lives day by day.Just be humans and stop the extra Tags!! Vikkie14:
Nope my sister, actually from the design, the Car parking lots is different from the children section. Children section is directly below the main church auditorium.
Check the picture the OP posted, you will see that to the right of the picture, is located the vehicle parks while to the far left is the main church where the children church is located as well. Did you noticed a bridge dividing them both? The underpass below the bridge is where worshipers will make use of as exit and entrance to the Church and car park.

Sanusi knocks ministers for missing meeting with investors

Published

April 22, 2018

ENIOLA AKINKUOTU

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has lambasted Nigerian ministers for missing a meeting with investors in Washington DC despite some of them being in the US.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday at an investment programme organised by the Nigerian Embassy, Sanusi said Nigeria might lose investors because of the attitude of the ministers.

According to the emir, there was no reason for the absence of the officials and the challenges faced at the beginning of the event.

Sanusi said, “We had a meeting today with investors, we were supposed to start by 9am; we started at 10. When I came in, they took me to the ambassador’s office to sit, when investors were waiting there. We had a list of people who were to be here, Vice-President, ministers, some of them are in town, but they haven’t come up.

“You invite top investors, your ministers are in Washington and they do not come to talk to the investors about Nigeria. That is not how you attract investors. If you have this forum in the Rwandan embassy, I assure you President Kagame himself would be there telling people to come to Rwanda.”

According to The Cable, some of the ministers, who were absent from the event, included the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu; and the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Others, who shunned the event, included the Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola; the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi; the Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu; and the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele; the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Yewande Sadiku; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and all governors were absent while only the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, was present.

The emir added, “Sometimes, it is about how we market ourselves, how we package ourselves. There is absolutely no reason for the Nigerian embassy to arrange a ‘Nigeria is open for Business’ forum with ministers in town, with governors in town, and not have the coordination that they are actually here to meet with these investors.

“There is no reason why we should start one hour late, and there is no reason why the public address system should not work. Because at the end of the day, this is the first point of the country.

“The investors haven’t even come to Nigeria; so, what will be his experience in Abuja if he is having this experience in Washington?”

He said Nigeria should not display complacency because it was the largest economy in Africa, adding that investors could choose to invest in other countries that were more serious than Nigeria.

I was just wondering why children's church is underground? Ideally car parks should have occupied a number levels underground and use the elevators to ferry people upstairs for their services instead of placing the the cars on multilevels above the children's church undecided ....make I set my mouth ...what do I know sad

dorox:
I hope there are enough fire exits out of the building in the event of an emergency, because the restricted ingress and exit doors in that picture will become a death trap should thousands of people suddenly decide to rush for the exit.

Ideally, the children's section should be very close and accessible to the exits for obvious reasons. That is why I am very concerned that the children's safety might not have been prioritized by putting the children's church in the basement which is far from the exits and also requires going up the stairs.
