October6blog:
The former governor of Plateau state and senator representing Plateau North senatorial district, Jonah David Jang, has reportedly paid off the outstanding electricity bills of Jos prison where he has been locked up since Wednesday, May 16.
Jang was remanded in prison after his arraignment at Kogi state high court on May 16 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The senator is facing a twelve count charge over alleged corruption and misappropriation of N6.3 billion during the last leg of his tenure as governor of Plateau state. Read more:
Jang allegedly ordered his aides to pay off the prison electricity bills after he arrived there to meet it in total darkness. Daily Trust reported that the former governor’s media consultant, Clinton Garuba, confirmed paying the electricity bill, adding that Jang had also offered to pay the medical bills of one of the prisoners, who was suffering from a leg disease at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH)

Is it because of this case, corruption has automatically increased? Haba ....if there's a refund to be made, necessary documentations would be required. before the money is refunded. Government refunds are not like mom and pop store refunds undecided

By now the family should be showing us letters of request for refunds and not the bishop shouting upandan.

Download and run it as a Live CD to get yourself familiar with it before going the next step to install it. You can also install on separate partition from your original Windows so that way you can boot to the Linux partition ....risky if you don't know how to do it. You might end up losing your Windows environment. Fret not, there are lots of tutorials online to guide you.

You can also install the Linux Mint on your virtual environment using Virtual Box or Parallels or any other virtual machine out there. All the best.

Politics › Re: Borno Shoe Shiners Vs Abia Shoe Makers - Reno Omokri Tweets by bigtt76(f): 8:34am On May 17, 2018
Restructuring won't help anything. There's a reason why God made some animals weak for the stronger ones to feed on. You have the shoemakers, you also need the shoe shiners to make it last longer.

In the sea, you have the sharks and the remora fish clinging to it. The remora fish feeds on the crumbs from the shark's kill. If the youths of Borno feel shining shoes is best for them, the same way the youths of South East feels running in traffic to sell pure water or other stuff. Lets not condemn all these gestures.

Nairaland General › Re: Graveyard At 26000ft, Stories About The Frozen Bodies On Mount Everest(Photos). by bigtt76(f): 9:02am On May 12, 2018
The cost of recovering the bodies is on the surviving family members and is usually too high for them to foot so they decide to leave them there. Some actually recovered the bodies of their loved ones though.

An helicopter can be used since it can be suspended in the air but then most of these bodies are stuck in the snow, it would require more digging etc to free the bodies.

femojie:
Helicopters can fly higher than the summit of Everest but landing to take on a passenger or body is dangerous. In some cases a special technique is used.
Business › Re: Reject Dirty Naira Notes From The Bank- CBN by bigtt76(f): 9:00am On May 11, 2018
How do you reject dirty bank notes coming from the ATM? undecided

[quote author= post=67459332]The Central bank of Nigeria has urged Nigerians of their right to demand new notes from banks and reject dirty notes as the CBN continues its efforts to rid the country of dirty currency.

Isaac Okorafor, acting director, communications department of the of the CBN said this in a statement.

He also blamed the commercial banks of putting a spanner in the works in the CBN’s attempt to use cleaner notes.

Okorafor then spoke on some of the measures taken by the CBN to get cleaner notes in circulation, including, the reduction in the amount it charges banks for sorting the dirty notes for clean ones from N12,000 to N1,000 per box.

He said this reduction in charges was in a bid to encourage more banks to bring in dirty money and exchange it for clean notes which then go back into circulation.

Seeing that the move wasn’t working as planned, the CBN has started making moves to remove the monies from circulation themselves including engaging associations in various markets to encourage traders to change genuine dirty notes for new ones.

“The bank has already taken the new measure to Kano, Kaduna and Abuja and also intends to bring it to the south,” Okorafor said.

Celebrities › Re: Infinix Mobile Unveiling Of Davido As Ambassador Of Its Brand (Live Pictures) by bigtt76(f): 7:44am On May 09, 2018
I was going to say this ....i don't see Davido brandishing an Infinix branded phone in the nearest future. Waste of money by Infinix Mobility. They should go for an ambassador from the street

Acidosis:
Davido is an A list artiste but Infinix is not an A list brand in the telecom/smartphone industry. What's the perception of the people about Infinix phones? (cheap, budget phone, low quality, right??) What's the perception of the people about Davido?

Do you see any gap?
This isn't a mockery of the Infinix brand. All products can't be expensive or of very high quality, and in fact, affordability in strategic management is a good and frequently recommended business model.

However, celebrity endorsement is not only about the money, or how much a brand can pay. A guy that buys all new versions of iphones for his subordinates and love to show off is not a good representation of the Infinix brand.
