Celebrities › Re: Toyin Lawani Reacts To Cee-C's BBNaija Cloth Scandal by bigtt76(f): 8:31pm On Apr 01, 2018
This is rubbish. Organizers, their staff and close relatives are NOT and should NOT be seen partisan in a show. buh I guess .....this is a Nigerian show. Toyin Lawani's comment could sway support positively or negatively or even be seen as punitive. We lack ethics in this country. I want to believe this will be the last BB Naija edition. Too much controversies.

Letenwam:
Nigerian celebrity stylist and Payporte creative director, Toyin Lawani has weighed on the controversy sparked by the cloth Cee-C used a scissors to cut, a cloth meant to be her outfit for this yesterday's Big Brother Naija Saturday Night Party.

Toyin Lawani who denied making the cloth, however stated that the cloth wasn't a fashion accessory and Cee-C was supposed to play her part as simple as 'abc'. Toyin Lawani further called out Cee-C for disrespecting a whole tribe, and also not appreciating the effort of the Payporte team in making them look good on the show. She concluded by saying Cee-C will now get ugly clothes from her, or nothing at all.

Here's what she wrote;

I was thanking God the MPESA's public fund deposits were not misappropriated by your operators (Safricom).

Yes after so much outcry by the Kenyan banks to the Central Bank of Kenya, I guess they are not being well regulated and ma dated by law to place the funds in an insured bank deposit.

Thank you for the apt NDIC brief. It couldn't have been better explained.

Business › Re: Nigeria: Mobile Payments Still Hugely Untapped by bigtt76(f): 2:11pm On Mar 27, 2018
Well in some way, to our own benefit because it helps protect the consumers from operators that would collect your deposits and disappears with it. Mobile Money operators in Nigeria by being run in conjunction with the banks, have the banks holding the deposits and by so doing, its covered by the National Deposits Insurance scheme of the CBN.

Earlier in the lifetime of mPesa, this was the issue raised, mPesa deposits were not insured and as a result was opened to being exploited by the operators but thank God it was not.

Chuks9000:
Ok. Here in Naija, the Telcos are required to work in partnerships with a bank (for the protection of public funds).
A lot would happen if the Telcos are allowed to manage monies outside the BOFIA.
.: the wallets you mentioned are either managed by the banks or by the FinTechs in conjunction with their banks. Anywhichway, your mobile number can be a wallet with any of the systems of your choice.
The truth is that, we are yet to embrace mobile money. Maybe because of lack of trust on our part as end users or because the institutions involved are yet to make it appealing enough for it to trend.
Business › Re: Nigeria: Mobile Payments Still Hugely Untapped by bigtt76(f): 8:07am On Mar 27, 2018
Mobile payments basically is you having access to a bank issued debit/credit, other stored value cards or bank's mobile apps to process payments on the go. Here you have your funds stored and managed by your banks. With Mobile Money, this is actually monies semi-outside the banking systems. It is stored in wallets created on your mobile SIM cards by the telecos. With this funds, you can make payments to other users of the same system.

Chuks9000:
What exactly do you mean?
Mobile banking, mobile money...
What is the difference aside being able to carry out transactions from your mobile phone?

Meanwhile.

I want to have a conversation with the guy that took these pictures. Picture 2 showing a guy in a white strip boxers bending down, with stains in the middle(poop) is not a good sight for some one just having breakfast.

Out of all the angles you could have taken these photos, you chose the poop angle, and coincidentally it is just staring at our faces.

Okwyla:
President Muhammadu Buhari has told the security chiefs that any laxity that leads to abduction will be viewed very strongly.

The president gave the warning at the State House in Abuja on Friday while receiving the freed Dapchi schoolgirls.Meanwhile Buhari has said that his administration will give unconditional amnesty to insurgents willing to lay down arms.

The president said the security agencies would not hesitate to deal with those seeking political gains from the abduction.

He also asked the security agencies to ensure that there is no repeat of students' abduction .

Earlier, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura, had said that the social media and utterances of those incompetent to speak on the matter almost marred efforts to rescue the girls.
He also said that almost all the freed Dapchi schoolgirls had one skin infection or the other for norlt bathing for one month.
