I applied for an M. Sc program in a U.K university.
All documents approved and payments confirmed by the school.
Waiting for CAS right now.
However, my concern is about my International Passport which is due to expire in October this year ( as against the Visa rule of a minimum of 6 months to expiration).
Now, I have applied for renewal, but my appointment for biometrics, issuance etc is long.
What can I do please

First, believe that with God, anything is possibe.

Secondly, you need to get your school's phone number and call the admissions office. You must be ready to spend some money to talk to them on the phone. Don't give up till you talk to someone who can really help you. You should also call the international student office in your school and ask for help/advise.

If you were asked to defer and you didn't respond, that might be a major issue. They might have taken your silence as consent and gone ahead to defer you. Please note that your visa is always tied to your CAS so if your CAS has been cancelled, technically, your visa is now null and void. You must not travel with that visa. Again, your CAS can be updated with new information - e.g if you paid more money for your tuition. However, it cannot be re-issued if you defer. You will need a new CAS and have to go through the process again - just like you already mentioned.

If you did attend online classes as you claimed, then your school should not have asked you to defer - unless there is something you have not told us. Please be honest so that we can all help you.

Please check your school's website and get the numbers you need. This is now an emergency and emails will no longer help you with fast responses - which you need.

When you call the school, articulate your points clearly and provide facts. Be ready to use emotional blackmail if necessary.

Finally, pray and beg God to favour you. Nothing is impossible with God. Absolutely nothing. Please keep us informed on your progress.

I didn’t accept the defer offer I was sent cos I still had a pending visa application as at the earlier mail that came in July 8 giving me defer options since I didn’t meet up with the resumption deadline. I didn’t respond to it since I have already lodged a complaint to the home office as regards the delay.
Mind you I have enrolled online since April cos lectures resumed April 19 and I was attending online lectures till first week in July since there were other people affected too so school made provision for this The school stopped giving online lectures afterwards.
If truly the CAS was withdrawn as stated in the mail they sent July 8 then I believe UKVI would not have reissued the visa again July 15. I just felt there must be a way out.
I already mailed the school like I said earlier and I also attached my visa data page and home office mail that was sent to me prior to picking up my visa.

I would have proceeded with traveling immediately but I don’t wanna risk the border issue cos the last mail sent to me from school representative warned me not to travel to the UK even tho I had a valid visa

I recently picked up my passport on the 26th of July with visa issued on July 15 after a long wait( biometrics was April 1).
This was following complaint I made to the home office which they acknowledged and apologized claiming it was an administrative oversight because the visa was initially issued May 13. They eventually reissued another one July 15 having sited the error and tendered apologies.
My school final resumption date was July 5 after several extensions by my school though have been updating them about the visa delay.
I immediately mailed my school informing them of my visa but to my surprise they responded that the CAS has been withdrawn even tho it was still within the 6months expiration period cos it was issued March 30. They further said I should accept option to defer to the next academic date which I didn’t even mind but the issue now is they said I have to get a new CAS and apply for new visa (N.B I have to pay a new visa fee, IHS and do another TB as the present one expires soon mind you the present visa expires Oct 13
I mailed them back and also copied Home office stating my displeasure that I can’t accept making another visa application since it wasn’t my fault and a new visa was just issued. I further made them realize that if a new CAS must be issued then it should easily be updated with the present visa since it’s same office that issues both CAS and Visa
Am awaiting the school and home office response.
I need expert advise and I also want to know if anyone has experienced such before and if yes, how was it resolved.

If you read through, you’d see that I explained the risk involved. If he’s lucky enough to get form A, he’ll be saving almost $2000. And if he doesn’t, he’ll must likely buy back at highest 20 to 50 naira increase. I think it’s a risk worth taking.

Just thought to share an idea with you since you said you have some money in your DOM account. If you eventually have to wait till January, you can sell your dollars at black market rate and then try to pay with form A. Saves you a lot of dollars.

This only apply if you eventually have to wait till January.

it is always advisable to get the official bank account from the school preferable via email or instruction to pay.

Im sure you don't want to risk thousands of pounds to the sch account given to you by a third party and at the end of the day, it's not the approved account fo you to credit.

Just Google and visit the school's website. Get the information there or get their phone and call them tomorrow for clarifications. I'm sure they'll clear whatever questions you have.

Hello house, please advice me. I have started my visa application online, I got to the passport number stage, the problem is the passport no on my COS is missing and I have a new passport now. The question is which passport number should i use on my application. The one on my COS or the new one?

it is not a matter of choice. You should say the truth at all times. And a sibling is definitely part of your nuclear/immediate family!
You also sign at the end of the visa application form that all the information you have stated is the truth and nothing but the truth. It is not a choice, stop encouraging lies and deception.

This thing happens. Most footballers do it, I mean the ones from Africa mostly even in diaspora it's just that there the law is much more harsh. What victor did is double dipping. In football transfer the rule says the super agent can liase with a local agent connected to players. Many times local players want to chop this money too as remember transfer fees goes to the club, the agent who brokered it, and any other agents. To ensure fairness players don't really get anything from this money because if they did they will sign contract and start looking for clubs to break the contract with huge transfer fees so players dont officially get commission. Which is also why if you have no club you can be bought free as a free transfer. You are only entitled to your agreed weekly wages and any other bonuses the club decides to give you. That money was meant for a local agent who victor put his inlaw as front there. Victor should have explained to the guy very well that the money is his own and he is just fronting (I'm sure he did). He should also have done something more for the guy when someone has that kind of money in their account and withdraw and give you ummm that person has the grace of God oooo. That's why daddy freeze was shocked. Even if it's to buy one better big car for the guy or even build one house with 150k dollars somewhere. Give the guy. This is what they all do. But victor forget them and was doing big boy spending anyhow and that is what is paining them. Because if that guy goes to court, he is the legal local agent on paper so he has a case. The only thing now is he gave victor the money with his hand and I am sure there is no where he can show that it was a loan. So in the eye of the law it will be forgone money except he has very good lawyer. On the other side a legal case can expose that he was not a real agent and put victor in trouble.

The man that married Victor's sister , said victor is owing him for job he did as his agent over his share in the $68m transfer from lille to Napoli , he said after main super agent transferred him his cut , of almost $500k and 91k euros , that victor told him to transfer back all the money to him , he did . Said victor only give him 20k euro


My take - seems victor front him as his Nigeria agent to get some money from the main foreign agents , so after him getting the almost $500k and 91k euros from them , Victor now collected all the money from his in-law, settle him with only 20k euro , seems guy man now understands say Victor played him , he started giving him issues .

Though I know victor can never open up cos it might cost him dearly.
