Well go back to TLS and make an official complaint so they advise you. At POE, they will compare the names on the passport and that on the visa vignette. Also your BRP will bear the same name which if not correct may lead to future issues.I watched a video today of how a prospective student had two visa vignette on her passport, she had to complain about it to avoid issues. The extra was later cancelled.

We (Wife and i) picked up our passports yesterday, visa approved.
But we discovered an error in my surname spelling (B instead of E).
Anyone had such experience? And how did you attend this.

How long will it take them to rectify the error?
Note: We were able to confirm that the error is from UKVI and not US.

Don't be confused, just do what you feel is best and that you can properly defend.

If you state staying apart from your wife, you need to show that you are both in sync - joint bank account, evidence of your sending her funds, photos of you guys together at functions or vacations etc. Even when staying together, you still need to show this but easier to defend than when staying apart ...my thoughts though.

Ok why not make it less complicated for you by using same address as your spouse in Nigeria? Stating two different addresses means you guys don't live together and would require you having to prove your relationship with her compared to when you use the same address.

Yes you can use it to pay for the visa and ihs. To fund it you do a naira bank transfer to your account on Barter and from there you create a USD virtual card. The you will fund the USD virtual card using your Naira balance which will be converted using black market rate.

He said NOT a problem as far as you have started counting your 28 days backwards - meaning recent deposits or withdrawals shouldn't have any impact on your existing POF. for example if your POF is N12Million as at 8th July 2022 (stated 25 days ago), deposits or withdrawals should not affect it being available. You can have N12,199.000.00 but not N11,856,000.00 or N24,000.000.00

1. Money for your studies (a.k.a POF) must be available at all times for that purpose
2. Peradventure, you had to use part of it to offset your UK study related bills, you should have readily available necessary and acceptable proofs to present when questioned about same.
3. Funds required by you in the UK to cover some living costs should be available to you in cash, credit/debit card or your bank account (UK or Nigeria).

To your last statement… yes that question wasn’t genuine. You do read from a lot of people here asking that question or asking if a school ask for deposit before CAS, these are people with untouchable loans. If you have genuine money it doesn’t matter if school ask for deposit or not.

Yea makes sense but most are asking the question for obvious reasons and confusing others with genuine POF I'm sure the POE officer would be wondering how far ....well most schools advise against carrying large amounts when arriving though so may be they are right leaving it intact

Ideally, you should have it on your person/card/account or have evidence that it has gone towards your school/travel expenses just in case it is needed at the POE. I assume that that was what the poster meant when that comment was made - maybe something different was meant though.

1. How will the student pay the 50% tuition during enrollment?
2. How will the student pay for accommodation or other living expenses when they arrive UK?

Of course, a student with genuine POF would need to draw from it, convert part of it to cash before traveling or would they have to rely on the ever delaying Form A for these or depend on the N20 limit Naira MasterCard? Except I'm missing something though.

That’s why I dint use my card. Providus platinum card is equivalent to black market rate. Sometimes I think it’s even more expensive sef. Well for those that done have any choice you can go for it. The only beautiful thing is that, it’s the only bank that has that forex limit in Nigeria but it’s not cheap.

How do you leave funds intact until you get to the UK when in actual fact you are meant to use same funds for your fees and living expenses? These POF packaging thing is going to ruin us all soon if care is not taken.

Your POF is meant to fund your school fees, living cost and other expenses, please try and get funds out of it before your trip ooo!

The money should be intact until you get your visa approval. It's advisable to have it until you enter UK as it may be requested in POE
