I am on CAS processing stage, I was asked to provide a cover letter from WAEC showing the same Date of Birth/name. The problem is that WAEC said they don't issue cover letter.

The mistake was due to renewal of my Passport, my correction was not updated.

Your POF is your maintenance fee whilst you study for a 9months out of an average of 1year study as advised by UKVI( although some courses are longer). You submitted it as an evidence to get a visa to study.

It should be so, your maintenance for your study and for use in the UK

That shouldn't be a problem as long as it is in the right field. In Nigeria, names are usually arranged LAST NAME, MIDDLE NAME, FIRST NAME while in the UK, it is FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME, LAST NAME. It only becomes an issue when your First name is used as your last name and vice-versa.

Since it didn't affect your surname, that shouldn't be an issue though but refer to your school for their thoughts.

MA and/or husband can not claim what is untrue as that jeopardizes everything. Also the said child is not travelling so ECO will not be bothered about that. Also husband has in past visa applications mentioned this child, he can not go and now ‘unsay’ there is no such child.
This is a tier 4 application and is point based.
She is not getting her visa on the basis of who and who is travelling with her.
Her application can not be denied on counts of dependents as there are varying circumstances in different applications. Honesty is always the best policy with immigration. Just my opinion and what I have seen happen for in some cases.

Ooh I get the issue now - Wife (MA) did not include step child in her own form section as dependent and husband wants to include child. This may not fly and MA may be required to confirm relationship with step child if included by husband.

As MA, husband's visa is tethered to hers - she can't fill 3 dependents and husband filling 4

When dependents fill their application form it is independent of everyone else until the moment they add in details of parents etc.
in my opinion, your husband must fill his child’s name on his form as a dependent. It does not mean he is travelling with her. She is his child and that is all that matters. Also u mention she wont be travelling with you ppl so definitely she wont fill out a visa application as a child dependent linked to u.. so there’s nothing to worry about that.
Also IHS fees, visa fees etc are paid per head. The visa officer wont withold ur decision ur decision as a tier 4 applicant because of dependents.
For me o, if you and your husband are united in the answer, then both of u should decide if you want to also fill her details as a child dependent on yours since she is from your husband.
In all of the above, tier 4 visa is not decided on basis of how many dependents one is going with or not so it does not affect your visa application or the visa application of your husband or children.


In a nutshelll, filling her details on everyone’s form is not a basis for denial .. whether she is travelling or not.

s/he can still be added as dependent I don't see any issue here though.

Please I need your input and advise on this issue. MA is wife while the husband is the dependant. The husband has a child from a previous marriage but the woman is late before he remarried. The child information had been filled as a dependant child n 2011 when the man was applying for a visit visa. Now the wife of s going for masters and the husband and 3 kids from the present marriage will be joining as dependants.

My question is, since the child from the first marriage will not be travelling with them, does he needs to be included as a dependant child. If yes, is it in just the husband's application. Will the UKVI also have an issue with why the child travelling with them.

The money has to be in the bank for minimum of 28 days to qualify as POF and the statement you print out for those 28 days minimum, must not be older than 31 days when you are applying.

What this mean is don't go and print a 28 days bank statement with POF in January 2022 and come and submit in support of your application in July 2022.

These are questions you need to ask and understand if the answers favors your decision of N4 per bag sold.

Also the N15k per month is subject to sales so it's not 100% sure that you will be paid that.
