I am less interested in where you live. I do have a problem with people living overseas who feel the silver bullet is Nigeria's unadulterated copying of the policies existing in the nation they reside, losing grasp of the difference in context of application. I also have a problem with people who live in Nigeria, who can't see beyond the bridge of their nose. They can't seem to make critical assessments of the problem, or proffer credible solutions. Both sets act like semi-illiterates, who feel they know what they do not know. |
biolabee:Correct!!! Light behaves both as a particle and as a wave, thus, because of the former, it is affected by gravitational forces, which if strong enough can make light bend. |
How many thread do you guys want to create on the ekiti rerun? WTF!!! |
I think they should start moving threads, such as this, to the 'Racism, Tribalism, Sectarianism' section. They serve no other purpose, than to incite tribal bashing. |
CRACK IN MY WINDSHIELD!!! Just the other day, I'm driving along on the highway at 65 miles an hour (the speed limit), minding my own business, when outta nowhere there's this big crack in my windshield!! I swerved right, and then left, and it was still right there!! https://osdir.com/ml/recreation.humor.sidesplitters/2007-01/jpgfSt5X6BYYe.jpg https://www.jonco48.com/blog/crack2_small1.jpg There just ain't NO words for this! Call our names, else tap on the bed/pillow (makes a low frequency boom sound in your ears) |
biolabee:only one choice is allowed |
adigun101:and why should the opinion of the IMF or UN be used as a reference for measuring the performance of a CBN governor? The only reason Nigeria would be immune to the recession is that we are so far back, there is nowhere lese to recede to. I do agree with you though, that Soludo should leave (but definitely not for the reasons you cited) |
The statement in the OP, attributed to the NMA president in the article, seems to have been based on the 2000 World Health Report (which was the last time WHO evaluated health systems in member states, with Nigeria being ranked 187 out of 190 states), and thus is less likely a true indication of where things stand currently: we could have gotten better, or gotten worse. Personally I hope it is the former, but won't be surprised if it was the latter. |
@georgecso You are yet to correct the mistake in the OP and/or title. |
tpiah:That's if he is lucky. Most likely his ass will belong to his big, hairy, pot-bellied, cellmate, who would have him change his name from jack to jacqueline, as it would better suit his role as his cellmate's bitch. ![]() |
jalether:and who made you the judge of what is good or desirable to another? You carry oyinbo man preferences for head, begin shout say na standard - whose standard? Go and check the traditional attire of southern Nigerian, and tell me if they were designed with a slim figure in mind. Some like them tall, some like them short. some prefer orobo, while some desire lepa There is no 'cold truth' about it, no be everybody wan marry broom stick or signboard. Some desire that a woman have the right curves in the right places, and not look underfed, like one suffering in the midst of plently. If you are jealous of fat ladies getting attention, then go and hang, if you hang you go die you go die for nothin we go carry your body go police station; you die wrongfully and FYI, before you get into ad hominem mode, I am far from being a fat lady |
The ACLU will stay clear if she is likely guilty of murdering the toddler. Your civil rights are as defined by the constitution and the law. I wonder if her face was covered in her traveling passport or drivers license |
I have never been rigid when it comes to meals. I eat what I feel like having, whenever I feel like. I am as much at ease with having cereal at 8pm, as I am with eating pounded yam at 6am ![]() |
Often there is no love lust between wives and MILs. I heard ladies express concerns for the mother-in-law being the primary threat to the autonomy of their marriage. On more than one occasion, I have heard a lady state that the demise or incapacitation of a would be mother-in-law would be an added bonus to their relationships |
fs:That would be dandy if it is only his opinion that counts, and his family doesn't have a say in matter of whom he marries. The family have just been informed, and have a right to express their concerns. For all we know, the family might feel the guy's judgment was clouded by his feelings for her. Also if the incidence is quite unlike her, she should have no problem explaining and apologizing to the family. The problem would arise if the family feel they now evidence to support earlier suspicions. There is no lack of backbone in respecting and addressing the concerns of your family as per their future in-laws. @poster Why would you exchange numbers with someone you don't have any intention of contacting in the future. A lady giving out her number implies that she is receptive to further interaction with the guy in the future. I am sorry, while I accept your contriteness, I have doubts about you excuse of exchanging numbers with a guy 'casually'. |
(Hard) Which of following is NOT true about light 1. Light always travels in a straight line 2. Light can be used to transmit energy 3. Light follows the shortest path between two points 4. Light is a transverse wave 5. The speed of light in a vacuum is exactly 299,792,458 m/s 6. Light exerts pressure on surfaces in its path 7. Light exhibits both wave-like and particle-like properties 8. Light is faster than sound |
netotse:correct!!! The Niger Delta Congress was one of the small political parties in Nigeria's First Republic. |
debosky:I just dont feel the issue of protruding belly warrants a 50 page thread. People with protruding belly exist in all races, and its occurrence depends on several factors including diet, exercising, way of life and genes. As you grow older, the tendency to have a protruding belly increases. Some like it, some don't, and some are indifferent; to each his own. There is no need for either side to criticize the other, or get defensive on the issue. |
Gets two yellow cards in a single game ![]() |
much ado about nothing! ![]() |
jack tweed:The fact is that you failed as a man, in that you were too cowardly to defend her (and even got raped yourself). Borrowing your words, there is also nothing for her to gain from a masculine waste like your self. Now that wasnt so hard to grasp. . .Was it? ![]() |
Which of the following was NOT a political party during the Nigerian fourth republic 1. Advanced Congress of Democrats (ACD) 2. Alliance for Democracy (AD) 3. All People's Party (APP) 4. Democratic Alternative (DA) 5. National Democratic Party (NDP) 6. Niger Delta Congress (NDC) 7. People's Redemption Party (PRP) 8. People's Salvation Party (PSP) |
jack tweed:Your post just reeks of ignorance and self righteousness. I wonder what you would do, if armed robbers came to your home and raped your 'smart' wife in the presence of your smart ass, while you fan them like a human air conditioner? They might even sodomize you as well, if they feel your wife doesn't have enough orifices to go round. |
There is nothing constructive about laying blame. |
Ecclesiastes 10:19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. ![]() |
Pittbaby:While Nigerians may have negative opinions of African Americans, the word akata itself is not derogatory. Like you said, akata refers to an undomesticated canid, and its use is descriptive of the fact that African Americans reside away from their homeland i.e. wild vs domesticated. It is no more insulting than calling someone a Nigerian expat. |
pls move to crime |
Don't have an hero, but someone I felt did the right thing at the right time was Major Chukwuma 'Kaduna' Nzeogwu, and his comrades in the 1966 coup. |
Seun:Given enough resources, it is not that difficult to crash the share value of a publicly traded company. In a volatile market, the share value is not rigidly attached to the value of the underlying asset. |
