Donlittle: saw those trades you are trying to make, people don't accept/deny their trades. They just ignore it. We need to know how many of us are on NlandI saw your offers bro. I just being polite ![]() |
Zikkyy: a man without a beginning? How is that possible? even Jesus as man had a beginning. The Word was made flesh, ie Jesus. Haven't angels appeared as men before? And why wouldnt the Word be able to take on this form on the earth too. Or do you have specific scripture stating that this cannot be the case? Note I am not getting bogged down in man, or whatever you want to define as man. Was Melchizedek Jesus? This is the central question guys If you cannot prove that he was not, all you should say is, "I dont know". Becasue all the verses you guys have been quoting have not shown me why God could not do this. |
Goshen360: Good, let those who can reason come along. If he is a man, how is he a man? Fall from heaven? Born of a woman? Just came into existence? How?Is your point that every man is born of a woman, and therefore since Melchizedek was without beginning or end of days or lineage, he could not have been a man. If this is your point (it would be helpful if you stated it succintly in your next post), this doesn't take away from who or what Melchizedek was. Have not messengers of God appeared bodily to humans? If so, why wouldn't the Word (later known as Jesus) be able to do the same? |
Goshen360: Welcome brother. We can walk through it. There's nothing hard in the mysteries, with patience and kindness, we can unveil the truth. The OP doesn't want to listen to others so I left him with his thread, Oh well.Sure he is a man. But a man without end or beginning. Obviously not a man like you or I. So, what would be your point of stressing the manhood here? Thanks for being patient ![]() |
Goshen360: Defensive about what? That farting is sin? Seriously? Abeg talk better thing joor. As far as I'm concerned, this is a religious talk, nothing Christianly in it. God doesn't say it's a sin, religion does.lol. you really are taking this topic seriously arent you? |
ROSSIKE: If all you see from the postings so far are ''empty two lane highways'', then even prayers couldn't possibly work for you.I was trying to help you out. most of what you posted is not even worth the mention. you obviously think a new 500m bridge is proof of life for Nigeria. wake up. |
Goshen360: It's not defined nor called sin as with God. Religion might call it sin but God doesn't. Get out of guilt and condemnation, there's no condemnation for those in Christ. You are a little too defensive here. I wonder why ![]() |
If empty two lane highways are your sign of hope, we need to pray for you before praying for Nigeria ![]() |
Sky-walker:its a yahoo league. Where do you get the time to play all 4? wow, I need to watch you ![]() |
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continuallyThis verse suggests Melchizedek was no ordinary human. If he has no end of life, or beginning, what is he then. I would not be surprised if an exegesis of this text shows that the original translators have muddied the waters with their opinions here - "made like unto" seems very suspicious. The Darby version, which I find to be often right in spirit puts it as "but assimilated to the Son of God". Doesn't make it clearer, I know. @Goshen, I think you are concentrating on the wrong details here. Priest and person are not mutually exclusive. And I dont knwow what being a "man" or not buys us here. I have my theories (uh-uhm revelations ) on this, but I think its irresponsible to present it without a solid enough word backing. |
A-40:Most reliable? OK. Only reliable? Nope |
2buff: Please see the "EDIT" section of the opening post again. I wrote down my further thoughts there. You really didnt need the edit. Most of the women railing about submission here are in the shakara age range. Your post will make more sense in the late 20s, early 30s (some foolish ones will actually reach 40 before it dawns). A woman with everything going for her, who can still be humble towards everybody (not just you), and kind is a gem. It requires a combo of emotional strength and maturity. I have used this to weed out long term partners several times, and I was the better for it. I like the fact that your message is not being received well. I dont have enough relatives or peeps over here to go "check out the girl for me". The last thing I want is to have women gaming my only sure banker. I hope your advice gets derailed into oblivion ![]() |
such a promising thread. i cant believe you guys killed it |
A-40:yes |
Donlittle: i feel like I might be losing this week, hopefully I am wrong, I need a center to giver 10points, and joe Johnson is useless, dude giving me like 12 pointsseems llke you get +10 points if you reordered your center list I think. And yeah I have joe johnson in another league. Dude is a total disgrace this season. If I see him on the streets, I swear ![]() |
Donlittle: The central division is one hell of a division, bottom with 3 wins, heckyou appear to be on a streak tho |
A-40:I dey hia. |
Bidam: In other words TD Jakes is a saint while Noel Jones is the fall guy here.. whichever way these guys should teach the totality of the gospel and not be one sided with their motivational talk shows. It actually self destruct believers.Money is not everything, Jesus is.wrong. the 5 minute post is not representative of the sermon. It was chosen out of context on purpose, to stir your emotions. Its not about who is the saint here. Its about accuracy. You do want the truth right? |
Not only did I watch that full service a few months back, but I know the circumstances in the previous weeks that led to that sermon. T D Jakes had been in LA for a while, working on a new BET series. He was absent from his services for so long that there were rumors he might be moving his ministry to LA. Jakes is a Bishop for real, and has in fact moved the ministries of pastors under him before, so you can see why some church members would entertain the idea. At the same time, his very good friend, Bishop Noel Jones was starring in a TV series following the lives of mega church preachers. You know, the one that shows 4 preachers and their wealth and flaws. He and Jakes had a public and sharp disagreement about this show. Jakes position was that while he supports appearing on TV as long as Jesus was magnified, he could not support the "bling bling" show. He was also angry because Bishop Jones kept this info from him until it was too late. Jones obviously knew Jakes would never have approved of it. The sunday of this message was Jakes' first time back in church, and he obviously wanted to set things straight. Hence the last 5 minutes after the sermon had actually ended was not a mystery to his congregants. They knew tha context of this 5 minute addition, and which preachers he was referring to, eg. Bishop Jones, who had regularly preached at Jakes church. So when he mentioned "that junk on tv", he was directly referring to the bling bling show. He went on to say " I am not bling bling...", making sure they knew what he was talking about. Next he says "Im not from LA, I'm from Dallas" to quiet all the rumors about his moving to LA. You can see his congregants react strongly at this point. In other words, if you were a church member, what you heard was "Im not leaving. God put me here. I have integrity and Im not going to run away with your money and use it elsewhere (LA). Im not going to abandon the projects in Dallas I promised you I would see through. I'm not eating your money, I have mine from my own sweat (unlike pastors who appear to be milking their flock)" I think Bishop Jones also must have heard this message too, because it appeared that the words "shake n bake, slimy, integrity" might have been aimed in his direction. On subsequent talk shows, you gee a more negative reaction from Bishop Jones when asked about the Jakes fallout. Guys, be wary of these "objective" videos floating around trying to sink people with effective ministries. |
Tolustar: Thanks Birdman, for your support.what kind of applications do you want to write? And for what audience? That would dictate the direction you want to go? Btw, since you have taken a course in c++, you should keep that skill sharp with open source projects and blogs just in case. I'd look on github first to see if there is something interesting there. If you are talking web, Seun can definitely point you in a better direction. For anything else, there are tons of fun python communities doing amazing things. Well worth your time, even if you are doing it on the side. Me, Im more of a systems/embedded guy, usually c or c++. I used to be a perl and php dev back in the day. I hear they laugh at those guys now ![]() |
^hahaha. now you are quoting your own post? see failure ![]() |
tpia@:lmao. see as you dey contradict yaself? oya quote me a bible verse ![]() |
tpia@:you just went to one of my threads for what i guess is a "revenge" attack? Is this Jesus in you? Or just you? I have told you already - step away from your keyboard and go pray for a bit, and stop all the religious garbage you are spewing. Your actions do not match your words. https://www.nairaland.com/1242837/oam4j-man |
^Is your present behavior christ like? Before you start preaching down other people, deal with the demon that is obviously at work in you right now. Dont let pride get in the way of your deliverance. Step away from the keyboard and go pray I see this all the time. Christians who can pray a storm, confess verses for hours, but will not take care of the obvious personal stuff. Guys, you are deceiving yourselves |
tpia@:Guilty conscience. Who named you? You are supposedly defending pastors and yet cussing everyone out like the devil. You no get shame? Thanks for making my point for me. Better quit posting for a while and cast out the demon of anger that has enveloped you |
must be that time of the month ![]() |
Tinubu is a practical politician. Soyinka is more idealistic. Paying visits to former heads of state is not really to garner their support, as much as it is to make sure they dont work against you. You have to assuage the fears of the king makers, so that they know you are not taking power to pursue an agenda against them. It doesnt mean APC will win, but at least you are only fighting Jonathan instead of multiple factions. There is a reason Soyinka is not a politician. |
Horus: His worst enemy is likely to be himself.thank you. he has heaped soothsayers on himself, who tell him what he wants to hear anyways |
RandomAfricanAm: Look who's talking SMH ...now what about the topic of Malcolm and king(You know, what this thread is actually about)At least you know better than to come here and argue with your superiors. stick to posting pictures will ya? ![]() |
Tolustar: Birdman....concerning the bolded part, I have done some research on C++,and have read a lot of people using c++ for solving real life problems, even like creatin music players, pdf reader e.t.c though, i agree with you it is also used for what you mentioned......but from the little I know on python, python is a scripting language and mainly used for WEB programming, don't you think it will be strenuous writing applications for windows in python, rather than c++ or even javaIf you dig further, you will also see former C++ programmers either switching to Java, or recommending Python. Computer Science departments used to teach C as the first language. They skipped C++ and moved on to Java and Python for the same reasons. Python can be used as a scripting language, eg a replacement for Perl. But it is much more powerful than that. Can you write a music player in C++? Yes. But you could also do it in C. The question you have to ask yourself as a pragmatic programmer is which tool solves my problem best? I saw one guy turn his laptop camera into an image recognition hardware to detect a cars parking in his assigned spot outside by finding and parsing the license plates. Next he trained his laptop to recognize his face. He did both demos in under 20 minutes, with less than 30 lines of python code. It would take a C++ programmer a a week or two of coding and debugging to come up with the same polished app. Now I bet you some of those python libraries are written in C++ and C for speed, but the python programmer is free from the underlying complexity and can concentrate on his ideas. |
Start by looking for open source projects using C++ to see how its actually used in practice. Once you get comfortable with the project design and aims, try submitting a few patches to the community so they can critique it and sharpen up your skills. I suspect that you will find the actual use of C++ in practice looks like incantations, not the examples you may have seen so far Beware - C++ is not Python or one of the newer generation languages. Python, Ruby etc are powerful for developing applications. C++ is powerful for systems programming, developing frameworks and writing languages like Python. Based on your last post, you should probably pick up Python instead. Even very experienced C programmers avoid C++ and jump to Python. Using C++ for most user applications is like trying to use a chainsaw to slice bread. you will make a mess of things. Even the experienced cats do. C++ is too much raw power for most real life app development. Python lets you concentrate on on developing a powerful app in weeks, instead of spending nights chasing memory leaks from copy constructors. In short. Start with Python. You will probably never go back |
