I guess some of you were under the illusion that Israelis are all nice people, seeing as they feature in the bible and all that. If you read the bible without blinders, you would know they are like any other people. I have no problems with their covenants etc, but Im not one of those making pilgrimages to the "holy land" and gushing with awe. At the end of the day, they are just people, and yes they are can be very racist. Someone should post this in the religious section lol |
I thought Brazil was supposed to be an utopian melting pot ![]() |
stop taking MEILYN's bait. his views are already know on others threads. geez. Happy bday to a most respected MOG. At least we have a few people who refuse to compromise on excellence. |
taiwoawoniyi: Bro,I deeply appreciate your layout and maturity in post and your willingness to learn. I PERSONALLY believe in tithing. I know I'm not a bible expositor or anything amd I'm really not interested in sparking off an argument about LAW and GRACE here but here's a fact...Abraham tithed so tithing existed before the Law(Moses) and Malachi 3:8 gives us a clear view. If we tithe, nothing done with it is your business. Just do your part and God will do His part so never go around with a biased mind thinking 'these pastors are getting rich on MY tithe'. If they are, well,God will surely judge Exo 14:14. But I would strongly advice that if you don't believe in tithe, then at least, don't go insulting the people that believe in it and don't spark off any unwise convo. I pray God will enlighten us all. His Grace be with you. ShalomSpot on brother. For those who tithe, I urge you to follow the pattern in Genesis 14, that is, take communion the way Abram and the King of Salem did, and SAY the words that were exchanged between the two. Remember that Jesus also observed communion, so it is obvious that some of these seemingly ordinary acts have deep significance. Obviously, you should never give because you feel condemned or because you are pressured to by anyone. If you must tithe, take the time to do a personal study and convince yourself of what you are doing. And MAKE SURE to prove God in it, don't just tithe, then forget about it. |
GenBuhari: Well if you are not a white man, then you may be suffering from house slave syndromeThanks. Godspeed to you too. |
This thread and the OP is proving what we all know, that a woman's worst enemy is usually another woman. If someone decides they want to go the home maker route, what is it to you? I have seen women hide behind this same logic to dabaru their "friends" homes. Fear women o...fear them lol ![]() |
Obinoscopy: If Shekau is truly dead, this is what I'd do if I was the head of Military Intelligence or SSS:Here is how your scenario would likely play out 1. Word leaks at the highest levels of security that Shekau is indeed dead, and we have a double running a false flag operation 2. Some of these highly placed security folks are BH sympathizers, so they hatch up a plan to use your own trick against you 3. They coopt your double, finding a way to make him switch allegiance (every man has a price, even if it is not money) 4. Your shekau double now no longer works for you, but he doesnt tell you. Using your resources, he secretly rearms BH, or at the very least buys time for BH to regroup 5. By the time you finally realize your double agent has become a triple agent, he is already in the wind. Now you have a fresh insurgency on your hands, and you dont have the balls to tell mr. president how you tricked yourself. 6. Moral that security agencies should generally follow. In trying to confuse the enemy, dont confuse yourself lol |
mikeansy: Folks who understand this language should analyse this two speeches to see if their style of speaking is differentI dont see how you can conclude right vs left handedness from these 2 videos. what are you trying to prove? |
berem: so you prefer I wish him death?its better that he not recover speedily . The chance that IBB has a hand in some BH factions is very high. So I would rather he be preoccupied with his death, erm I meant health, hopefully till after 2015 |
how is this guy going to explain himself in the afterlife. That movie will be worth watching, especially with all the murdered innocent souls looking on. |
Isnt it interesting that barely a month after BH sponsors were named, BH is falling like a pack of cards. |
GenBuhari: You just revealed yourself to be a white man IMOreally? you are trying to get me to react. its all good general ![]() |
Every morning, I began the day with reading and meditating on Psalm 91a key to life right here...putting the word first |
persius555: The soldier's action was totally uncalled for, but the judgement should be reverse to compulsory retirement with their benefits immediately paid, in the spirit of the ongoing war against insurgency going on in the north. The judgement if carried out might affect the morals of men presently at the warfront. We underestimate the long term effect of corruption in this country. The presidency should at least be sincere enough to admit therew is corruption in the military.nothing gives you the right to shoot at the GOC. You don't kill anyone just because you are frustrated, wether it be mopol vs civilian, or soldier vs GOC. Stop supporting indiscipline |
What are you guys whining about? Disrespecting a commanding officer is a no-no. Everyone in the armed forces knows that. It will get you court martialled. Shooting at your GOC during wartime? That is death by firing squad in all armies on this planet. It doesnt matter if you think your GOC is a corrupt buffoon. You dont go around shooting people you disagree with. How do you expect to fight boko haram with such indiscipline? |
ok seriously, whats with the bleaching |
actYourDreams: I know the hatred I suffered while trying to simply prove to myself that "I can achieve all things through Christ who strengthens me" while in School. FYI, He still strengthens me till today! Why don't we just let the first class or 3rd class or whatever class be! It is high time we as individuals learned to respect everybody, a 3rd class or pass or even someone who never made it to school. This is 2014 for heaven's sake, let's stop this academic discrimination!!!Academic discrimination ke? What kind of employer will put first class and third class on the same level? You always give preference to hard work and accomplishment. Always. If a third class graduate feels he should be treated the same as first class, it is up to that graduate to prove it. Dont expect anybody to just give you a chance. You already had 4 years and nothing came of it. |

Oduduwaboy: My guy, you sure take beautiful Joan too seriously! Do you attend The Lord's Chosen Church or what? That is a church? Did you read her book? |
thoth: On the issue of Sgt Rogers and Co ,well…… i will just say that only men who has experienced a neocolonial war against their nation would understand the need for such gallant men. People who has never been in a position that requires them to lead more than 5000 heads would never get it.Definition of gallantry from dictionary.com dashing courage; heroic bravery; noble-minded behavior[ Synonyms:1. daring, valor, heroism. 2. chivalry, courtliness. @emany01 alas you were right! I was wasting my time. Sgt rogers was gallant? ![]() |
ROSYL: This woman defined the word hustle. She worked until the day before she died and it was for the joy of it. She remained relevant to the very end. An icon who paved the way for SO MANY female comics, Joan was a mentor and an inspiration. She changed the way the public consumed fashion. She kissed no one's ass and made no apologies. I've been a fan for as long as I could remember. The world lost another great comedic legend. She seemed like a beautiful person off stage? At least you indirectly admit she was a nasty piece of work on stage, ruining celebs with unsubstantiated rumors to keep herself relevant. Funny I was wondering only a month or so ago why a woman this old would not understand that at her age she should know better than to throw people under the bus just to make money. Old folk know the end is near, and tend to mellow, even mend their ways. I hope all the female comics thinking of following her path, selling people's reputation for relevancy remember it all ends one day. I feel sad that she is gone, but it is not the sadness of losing someone. Its more like the sadness that she died while in strife with so many people, all of her own doing. This is never a good way to leave this world. Oh well... yall can get back to the fake CNN tributes... |
manny4life: What are you talking about?Im on nairaland. i forgot folks like to argue just because. I used those numbers as examples to explain the obvious to you. The US oil industry is profitable because of high prices. A crash in market price means the US industry will NOT make a profit, killing their business. This will in turn lead to re-dependence on other sources of oil. this is something the US does not want. Simple econs 101. Why are you typing 3 paragraphs over a simple concept? Loss equals end of local oil industry. No local oil industry means you must buy elsewhere, leading to oil dependence again. Hopefully, after repeating the same thing the fourth time, it has sunk in. Geez. Take the time to digest what you read. |
EMANY01: Why you waste energy debating with the likes of that one I do not know.I just sigh and ignore them until they come out in real life to say that sh.it.They should try it in real life that's all I ask.good point. that being said, thoth often has well articulated and cerebral views. On Abacha though, he is waaaaaaay off the mark . GenBuhari seems to me more like a north agenda type of dude, based on the sum total of posts I have seen from him. |
manny4life: What are you on about? The U.S. is set to be officially 100% independent by 2016.. Right now, E&P companies have been pushing their product to the market after the U.S. exited the African import market few years ago. Don't forget the laws of economics: excess supply will cause prices to crash. If that's the case, which is even the case of of today, gas prices have gone down. Don't put your hope on that because you will be sadly disappointed because prices have been on the decline over the past few months. Here is eia's link to crude oil price history... http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_d.htmExample. Saudi crude oil costs $30 per barrel to produce. US crude oil costs $70 per barrel to produce because they use fracking. As long as the final cost per barrel is say $100, both Saudi and US make a profit. If oil price crashes to $50, Saudi is hurt, but will still make money. The US crude oil industry would be wiped out because now you are making a loss of $20 as opposed to a profit. Simple profit and loss. So, again, it is not in the US interest to let crude oil crash. |
GenBuhari:LOL. You just confirmed Idi Amin is a fool and you dont even know it. Did those same businessmen not humiliate Idi Amin in the end? Why do you focus too much of what is immediately before you and ignore long term consequences? So you made a few white men kneel down before you. OK. How does that help you when they stand up and then take over your country. What is the use of physically humiliating people, and then handing over all you have due to your lack of wisdom. Did the first Europeans not pay homage to our forefathers? Where did that get us? Guys, you are falling my hand big time. Please put your thinking caps back on. Thanks in advance ![]() |
thoth: i have been on the sideline waiting patiently for you to prove somehow that Abacha killed Saro Wiwa or any of the people you mentioned …maybe now you could do that.Prove what has been proven with evidence in lawsuits against shell? They couldnt sue Abacha because the chances of getting a a fair judgement in Nigeria is zero. But they could sue Shell because it was a foreign company, and therefore could be sued in a place with a sane legal system. But let me play your game for a second. You are suggesting that Saro Wiwa was murdered without any input from Abacha. That the specially convened military tribunal and the execution (hanging) by the military had no Abacha input. Somehow Abacha didnt know about Shell paying witnesses who would later recant Abacha was busy with something else and didnt notice the rape and pillaging of the Ogoni. The repeated frustrations of the Ogoni 9's lawyers (who would quit) was an accident. Abacha had nothing to do with it. That somehow, convicting the Ogoni 9 without proper defense was a fair thing, and Abacha could have done nothing about it. While you are at it, lets ignore Sgt Rogers and Al Mustapha's confessions Or the numerous student activists who were disappeared by the SSS. Somehow, Soyinka became afraid of his own shadow overnight. LOL All these are events recorded in multiple newspapers, home and abroad, and vetted as evidence in two justice systems. But somehow, the same Abacha that was so powerful even IBB had to mechonu, the same one that jailed a sultan without any recourse...somehow this same Abacha had no control in the Ogoni case. *I have to SMH here* You are willing to swallow this much BS just because you think Abacha "stood up to the white man". Whatever Abacha did, he didnt do it out of patriotism or black nationalism. Abacha was a mad man who fought anything that stood in his way (white, black, christian, muslim etc), fact that would lead to the engineering of his death. May your (and GenBuhari's) need to appoint black saviours not lead you to embracing mad men, criminals and despots. AMEN! |
If oil price crashes, it will take down the US oil industry too. Remember that American oil is expensive to extract. It only makes financial sense if the price of oil is high enough so that they can make a profit. I dont think the US is willing to risk oil independence and a growing economy to hurt Russia. |
They think they are still in love with you because you are now on the other side of the fence, and the grass always look greener over there. Please leave married women alone, that is a siren song you are hearing. Word for d wise. |
maestroferddi: Let us know where Jonathan has applied an all-out military solution to security challenges in Nigeria unlike say, Obasanjo.' avoiding the question? thankfully you have seen the folly of your post ![]() |
GenBuhari: OK thanksdude are you serious? because it looks very obvious that you are trying to stir something up. and im glad no one is responding to it. |
