CrimeRe: Lady Travelling From Abuja To Akure In A Taxi Molested By Man. Sparks Reactions by bisiswag(f): 1:45pm On Jun 02, 2020
Am never one to fret over things and I have a lovely dad,sweet brothers,dear husband and sons.
When I say some men are sick,I really mean it and when I say the girl child is vulnerable,I really do mean it cos am not a feminist.
Till date there is a memory that refuses to fade from my mind,I was in a public transport with my mum at about 10yrs of age,the man(God forgive him) who sat close to me kept nudging me and pressing his body towards me and licking his lips till we alighted from that cab.
I was so scared,clung to my mum but she was deep in thoughts and never knew what I was going through and till date I have not been able to tell her
So imagine I was alone with that man? I was a 10year old, with strict parents so am pretty sure I was properly dressed.
We need to be sensitive to the girl child especially in Nigeria,our laws dont help us and our men take advantage of it.
We need to wake up!

CareerRe: Should I Pursue Another Federal Job Or Leave For Canada? by bisiswag(f): 5:28am On May 23, 2020
Bonjovi13:
If insecurity and crime is the main reason why you are leaving Nigeria then you need to have your priorities reordered.

Although the crime rate in Canada is relatively lower than what you have in the US.It is quite high.(See https://www.statista.com/topics/2814/crime-in-canada/
Also due to the accessibility of guns and ammunition in the developed countries,you are more likely to be involved in a gun related crime more than in Nigeria.

Radicals and mentally unhinged individuals with access to weapon abounds in the developed countries and even children in schools are not safe from their onslaught.

Should we talk about the system in most developed countries that only ensures that you live relatively ok but makes sure that you are confined to your income bracket.Once you lose your job for any reason you are sure to loose your health insurance,car payments,mortgage payment etc are threatened. You cant afford healthcare without insurance.Just to expensive. You could also end up being homeless. Just google about the high rate of homelessness in most developed cities.

The system doesn't show mercy. Tax is high.You will work your self to the bone to survive. Most people abroad are one paycheck away from bankruptcy.

Listen man.Those days when traveling abroad was a ticket to the easy life of bliss are gone.Ask people who live there the hard questions.They would tell you.

Envy is everywhere.Racism is real and the effects are felt only in the civilized countries.An immigrant is seen as a third class citizen.A Nigerian immigrant is worse.You have to do more than the rest to prove your self.It takes a toll.

My take.Nigeria offers so much if you think outside the box. There has been poor people since independence. Always would be.Even if you have money you can be fine.Live close to people who have money.Pay for gated communities with adequate security. Limit your friends and associates. Keep your own company.Stop showing off.
Live well but smart. Under the radar.Be security conscious. Don't go clubbing late in the night. Dont keep late nights.Pay for good schools with security for your children.If possible.Drive yourself.Limit house boys and girls.Domestic staffs generally. You and wifey help out.

Nigeria is great.With God you can live a very good life here.The support system is great.You can be wealthy in Nigeria and still enjoy your wealth.
Travel for holiday and come back.Its not all gloomy.Depends on the shades you are wearing
Quoting just 4 keepsakes & future ref. But thinking really hard about it,Naija has too much random crimes for which one can never ever get justice. Support,yes but honestly the system to me seems more broken than overseas. So I think you gotta slow your roll on this one

All I'm saying is the man plays politics with everything, I mean it.

Go to Yala local government in CRS. The bad road people were managing, this man grade the coal tar from the road and abandoned it like that for 4 years now. When any big politician from there dies, during burials he will mobilize workers and make it looks like work is in progress.
You didn't have to waste your precious time answering the clown. We all know the truth,your description was quite apt and a lot more.

its not from their heart, they are wishing them well out of fear, fear that if they wish them what they deserve; death, that death will come for them, and that's what makes them stupid people that vote and elect stupid leaders.

Leaders that does not wish you and your unborn generation well and you are wishing them well out of eye service, fear and stupid religious norm!!!

Stupid leaders that are busy looting your commonwealth! Stupid, wicked leaders that don't care to equip the security to fight insecurity as poor Nigerians are slaughtered in their homes helplessly while the foolish so called leaders dine and wine with each other.

Foolish leaders that appoint people based on tribe, religion and politics.

Stupid leaders that give contract based on tribe, religion, politics and personal financial gains and you called them leaders and you are praying for them to live and do whathuh

If Nigerians have sense, they are supposed to be praying for mysterious deaths and sickness to befall all foolish, corrupt, failed Nigerian leaders everyday! Go to other countries and see how leaders are serving their countries, making sure citizens are well cared for.

It is unfortunate that Nigeria have more fools than sane people, reason the country is so messed up with most citizens hopeless and helpless!! angry
Had to quote for keepsakes. Everything is a joke to them,they sit complacent and accept all the nonsense thrown at them. Mschewww

I'm using it for my son. The milk is very nice and creamy, it lasts for 2wks+ depending on how you use it. Always close it very tight to avoid sugar ant or air from entering it and also don't keep the container near water cos the body is not made of tin(paper and aluminum-like).

If you have a toddler, keep it out from his/her reach.
Thanks a whole lot mama.

Can we ask if you invested an amount in the region of =N=8.5million? When we last asked, GTB deducts 0.1% of the face value/whole amount and =N=300 flat upfront. A charge of almost 9k makes sense if you invested 8.3-8.7million.
Owk. Sth in that range. Thanks so much.

And you are right about omonile lawyer post here on NL (property moderator), he has dropped a lot of insights all for free that most lawyers would hoard.

Anyone who wants to buy landed properties should take time to go though his threads.

for example people rush C/O properties forgetting they will need to present tax receipts of both Seller and buyer when processing governors consent plus many more inisghts....

Before I was a novice, but with what I have read over the years from his thread, I can do a quite decent job at scrutinizing landed docs.

all the same landed investment sha is one dicey something in lagos cheesy
Pls can u drop the link to the thread here. Thanks

Id assume budget means you do not want to throw a party...

These are the three options

Option number 1

if your baby goes to Creche,

Get a small cake 8-12k

Get party packs, maybe a modest party pack, there are some I've seen that came in tiny nylons with just sweets, biscuits, ribena and a small toy, maybe whistle inside. Guess like 5k can take care of this type of party pack depending on how many kids you have to give. It doesn't have to be this basic tho, for GBs first birthday, i put one story book, one stuffed animal then just loaded the bag with sweets and children's drinks.

Take these to the creche, they would sing happy birthday and you take pictures with your phone. cheesy

Option number 2 and my plan for GB's 2nd birthday.
If your baby doesn't go to creche.

Get a small cake 8_12k

Get two cartons of malt, I dunno what that costs, maybe 4k
Take pictures with your phone

Share the cake and drinks with neighbours and any other places where the baby has fans. Don't invite them to your house, just package it and take to them. (I've seen stuff on my desk at work sometimes and id ask from where and they would say someone's baby turned +1).

Option number 3. Mini party
Cook a big cooler of rice
Buy drinks
Get a cake
Get a cheap photographer
Fix the birthday party on a weekend if it didn't fall there.
Text close friends and family to come by, you don't even have to specify the time. Everyone would come by at different times, eat, gist and go.

Miscellaneous if your money is still remaining cheesy
Cute birthday outfit(s)10k more or less
You can always go to a cheap studio and do a photoshoot, i hear studio24 or whatever is not charging 100k like the rest of them cheesy
Also instead of taking pictures with your phone, you can call a good roadside photographer or that one that hangs out at your church on Sundays. Don't mention the words 'one year old' or 'photoshoot', just tell them there's a small get together in your house and begin to bargain like an Ijebu.

embarassed
By this time in 2015, even the trees were chanting "SAI BABA";
In my experience in Zaria then, it was a suicide mission to put GEJ's posters in parts of the north;
the chant of CHANGE echoed louder than our national anthem.
The faith in Buhari was out of this world..... He was seen as the new Sheriff in town.
Even at the mention of his name at that material time, Nigeria was working.
Lol.... Do you remember the body language era?
And finally the true Buhari began to show... He lost the National Assembly ;
six months no ministers; he fell sick, and so weak;
became super clueless ;, NEPOTISM reigned.... 97% vs 5%, despotic;
Aisha Buhari began to lament ;
he sided with Ganduje against Kwankwaso;
he watched helplessly as herdsmen ravaged and massacred Benue people....;
Agatu got burnt;
Southern Kaduna was wiped out ;
Plateau returned to rivers of blood;
IDP camps scattered throughout the country....;
Bokoharam resurfaced even more deadly ;
our soldiers became soft target of the terrorists;
Nigeria shut down !!Baba is not aware of anything !!
In all of these negative developments, the government has an auto response to all the problems.... BLAME IT ALL ON PDP’s 16yrs.
It actually worked initially.... But it became boring and obsolete. The war on corruption song soon become exposed to Nigerians as ordinary media trial of the opposition members. Whistleblower became a history.
Money discovery in suck-away, farms, Ikoyi apartment, Balogun market, Kaduna airport, etc all became Nollywood fiction and Nigerians got tired.
Things got worse.... hunger and famine got emboldened ;
suicides became regular;
depression hits ;
recession became permanent in the land. Nigeria kept sliding down the pit.
Naira kept falling helplessly..... foodstuffs become unaffordable;
several businesses folded up;
millions of Nigerians lost their jobs;
banditry and other crimes increased .
The government kept lamenting the sixteen years of PDP.
Yet they are embracing and welcoming every PDP member to their fold. Nigerians wait patiently for the PROMISED CHANGE but they got CHANGE of PROMISE.
Decampe to APC you become a saint, but remain in PDP you are a criminal.
Boom! Godswill Akpabio made the first move to APC and he was freed and became a SAINT.
That's how Buhari and APC lost it.
The goodwill died down... the hopes were dashed and Nigerians kept yearning for a change that will change the hazardous change of Buhari and APC. Buhari and APC had their chance BUT deliberately messed it up!
Buhari is weak,old and tired.
Let us join hands together to help him retire back to his wife, children and relatives who need him the more.
Congratulations to Nigerians for surviving Buhari's terror reign. Let try someone else!
Vote Clear-sightedly !!
Vote wisely !!
God bless Nigeria!!!
The TIME is now!!!
