Christianity EtcRe: My Unbiased Summary As A Former Member Of Celestial Church Of Christ... by BitmapStudios: 8:05am On Aug 03, 2020
Built2last:
Where did Jesus tell us to light it when we need concentration or purification. Where. You were told so and you believed without asking yourself why do I practice this. Why didn't Christ or paul or any of the disciples make reference to use of candles. Its human doctrine introduced by your church founders and it's not from God.
Did Apostlicsm end with Paul or any of the disciples? Did God stop giving man/mankind instructions after the Bible? Is the compilation we know as the Holy Bible the beginning and end of God's word for mankind?

The problem the Jews had with Jesus is similar to what most have with Celestial Church -they can't comprehend Jesus according to what Moses had taught them -Jesus is being blasphemous to the Almighty God -God doesn't have a Son -it's not in the book Moses gave them.

You're asking where Jesus tell us to light? Do you do all Jesus asks? Would you do all Jesus asks? Jesus asked a man to go have a bath in a stream to have his sight (after rubbing mud He he had made on his face), Jesus o, the Son of God, that all things were created through Him. Can you ever go do a stream bath? You would even say, it's not Biblical. Or said, 'it's so old testament, like Elisha did that, but this is new testament, just say a word'. Like Jesus condemned the old testament or when pastors want to hammer their campaign for tithes, they don't use the old testament to their advantage.

Who are we to box God on His machinations? How dare us think God can only work in certain ways and not in His way He chooses when He chooses?

Still, John of Patmos would write his Revelation of what Heaven is like in chapter 4. Celestial as the names depicts, is the representation of Heaven on earth.

#Cheers!

BusinessRe: What Can You Learn From This Business Strategy? by BitmapStudios: 11:47am On Jul 29, 2020
Both of them sell bread.
One has butter, the other, beans. It's not a healthy business partnership to me. It's competitive.
The butter customer might perceive the aroma of the beans and say, 'damn it, I will eat my bread with beans today'. And that might be the last time he will buy from the butter should he fall in love with the taste of the beans.

One thing y'all should know, if he was the type that collects bribes, he won't come to tell us he wants to quit. I personally know Lance Corporals in NPF that have built their own houses and own at least, one good car -they are perpetual bribe collectors and judgement perverts. Help this sincere officer have a better future.

See Take Home Pay Of A Professor After IPPIS

These people have made up their minds to completely destroy the public university system.

Is this what a professors takes home in the universities that their own children do attend?

342k per month (less than $1,000) after about 20 years in service, and so many promotions.

This is just the end of the public university in Nigeria.

Note: 4th column says "gross", and gross means total including all allowances.
Happney65, do you remember I once told you that, a Professor of Medicine in an FMC or teaching hospital in Nigeria cannot legitimately afford to buy a brand new car with the savings of his whole one year salary, even if he enters the theatre everyday.

This is the true state of Nigerian medi-sphere.

Naptu2, I saw and have read those posts sir. It's explosive and sad, I must say.
Nigeria has been a heap of lie made of lies - fantastic lies!

Shagari, Dikko, Akinloye and even MKO. Fela ITT song always comes to mind anytime I hear people say, 'Abiola was the best president Nigeria never had'. I have always had my reservation for him.

Sir, is it not the same BCCI (aka Cartel Bank) that Mamman Daura, Buhari's uncle was Board Chairman?!!!!!!

Even PW has been operating in our country for that long?!

Is this country redeemable? Is there hope for this country.

Imagine Dikko having $5billion(minus the unaccounted) at that time, how much more has been lost from Nigeria's treasury, by and large. We just received over $300mil of Abacha's runs, many more are scattered all around the world and much more are being moved from this country on daily basis.

Who truly is the common man? Who are the poorest of the poor? Like you said, we like coining names.

It's sad all these are happening to this country.

Thank you for your time and expository, your knowledge is highly appreciated sir.

Thank you sir. You know, I still wonder if our generation can ever be as intelligent and visionary as the 60s. I mean, the kind of mindset and intuition we have now is (very) shallow, if we are to be sincere. *Sighs* Thanks again sir.

Have you ever thought of joining politics? CoS of the governor of Lagos State, maybe? You know, we need people with sound mind in the helm of affairs, especially in Post-Covid?

I wrote this a few days ago.
I used to have one of Ginger Baker's feature with Fela on my playlist then, Black Man's Cry.
The lyrics goes like:
'Jo (as in ojo, day in English) wo lama bo o o, l'oko eru;
A o bo l'ojo kan o, l'oko eru....

And Baker was just rolling the drums and I used to laugh that he was playing Afrobeat the Classical way.

Then, I heard a story, when Baker then was referred as the greatest percussionist of that time and when he came to Nigeria, Fela went to meet (more like a challenge) him that, he heard he (Baker) is the greatest percussionist and he was wondering if he could give him a rythm with this drum (Fela handed him a talking drum -gangan). And Baker couldn't hold the gangan stick rightly as it kept turning upside-down as he was about striking on the drum. Fela agreed to teach Baker how to play the talking drum.

I don't know how true that is, but seems like what Fela would do to claim Africa is the best.

RIP to Tony Allen, a true African legend.

OK, here's a summary.

There was a presidential election in 1979. In order to win the election on the first ballot a candidate must have the largest share of votes and he must also win at least 25% of the vote in two-thirds of the states. Nigeria had 19 states at the time and two-thirds of 19 in exact figures is 12.66.

Alhaji Shehu Shagari won 25% in twelve states and 19.9% in Kano State. He claimed that he had won the required 25% in twelve states and that his 19.9% in Kano State made up for the required 0.66 that was left.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who came second, argued that Shagari had not met the required 25% of the vote in two-thirds of the states and that there should be a runoff election. Chief Awolowo and the UPN went to the election petition tribunal and Chief Richard Akinjide was one of Shagari/NPN's lawyers. Chief Akinjide is credited with coming up with the idea that 19.9% of the votes in Kano State = 0.66 that was required.

Alhaji Shehu Shagari won the case and was sworn in as president. Chief Awolowo's supporters blamed Akinjide for coming up with that idea and they believe that Awo would have won the runoff election if it wasn't for Akinjide's idea.

Chief Richard Akinjide became the minister of justice and attorney general of the federation in Shagari's government.

(I remember that the famous mathematician, Professor Chike Obi, tried to answer the question, what is 2/3rd of 19, but I can't remember what his answer was).

Chief Akinjide was also a minister in the First Republic and you should read his account of the first coup.
I see! It's wasn't personal then, it's purely business.
Thank you for the clarification. Do you by chance have a link to his account of the coup? I read a couple of his publications on oil and gas law, maritime law, litigation and a couple of others. They are on a yellow and pink stripe cover design. I can't find them again in my library.

grin What is 2/3rds of 19?
12 of course.
I saw him some years back at Golf club in 2Div Nigerian Army, Ibadan. He sponsored a tournament in honor of his wife. And someone there told me he was the man that stopped Awolowo winning, collected some big money and fled to the UK.
Just don't know how true all that is and thought you might have an insight. Or perhaps, you will open a thread and enlighten us his role, life and times. Thank You sir.

Are you a levite? You likely had dada in infancy and your parents cut it off without following certain processes.

Let me narrate a personal experience. I am a Levite, but when I was a baby, my mum used a comb to comb everything out without allowing it to form. grin She combs, but by following morning the tangles are back. She battled with my hair for months before it stopped tangling and began to grow normally.

My hair grew long and thick, but when it started disturbing me, I saw fire. Spiritually and physically. Last last in 2005 after investigations I was told to go and shave off the entire thing. Gosh it was painful. After shaving the hair my bro still lathered my scalp with soap and shaved the scalp join because no single hair must remain. angry

Thereafter I did some Christian 'stuff' which I won't mention here and since then no more disturbances till this day.

And not the Islamic Shiite Clan conference for women rights and the one of Soleimani is a completely different one?
