afam4eva: S, it's only when one has ruled a state that one should be termed "tested and trusted"? MUMU.
Olodo, those mongrels you mentioned can even manage their own homes - yet, you want them to rule Nigeria..

What's Soludo track record?? Creating an utterly corrupt banking smoke screen..

What's Okonjo Iweala's record?? Stealing $16billion from Nigeria, to pay a debt we shouldn't have paid in the first place.. And she's the Minister of Finance of this present utterly corrupt administration..

What's Dora Akunyili's record?? Mrs. re-branding.. Two-faced liar, who's bankrupt in all aspects of life - aside warming OBJ's bed, and washing his boxers.

Politics 101:

- Form an alliance with people with number, who speak with a voice..
- Set out the clear goals you want in the alliance..
- Never listen to advice from mongrels who aren't politically savvy - and those who got there by chance..
- Always know there are no permanent friends in politics - your interest comes first.
- Shout hallelujah! cool

afam4eva: The reason why some states are developing and the country at large is not developing is because people like Fashola, Chukwuma Soludo, Okonjo Iweala, Dora Akunyili are not allowed to become the president of this country. The best they can do is to run an institution or state.
Do you suffer from myopia or something??

Why include a tried and tested Fashola, in the same sentence as untested Soludo; political awareness bankrupt Okonjo Iweala; and utterly corrupt, and two-faced Dora Akinyili?? You could said, Ngige - if you wanted people from the other side to be counted IMHO...

Carry on!!

faithin9ja: Mama Iyabo at Mende night market, sells tomatos of N3000 per night, all her market is not worth more than N20,000. where is her daughter going to work when she grows up? which type of education can she afford to give her daughter to get one of the few jobs in a bank or oil company, not a chance.
Who cares about when 'Mama Iyabo's' daughter grow up, when 'Mama Iyabo' can feed the daughter right now.. How would she be able to grow up, if 'Mama Iyabo' can't feed her?? A hungry man don't think about the future, he thinks about now...

Like I said earlier, Nigeria is not ready for walmart.. When can talk about walmart when the standard of living improves - when 'Mama Iyabo' can feed her daughter three times a day, without having to sell tomatoes...

Spirit of Okija: 2015...

The North would align with the South-West... The North being the President and the South-west being the Vice.. (just like they did with the Buhar1 & Bakare Ticket).. They would also do the same muslim/christian partnership.. BUT..

1. The South-South and the South East remain unruffled as they would rather go to war than see another Hausa man become president before them..

2. The South-west would be torn down the middle as they are indeed a politically complex region..

3. The Norths only chance at having a clear shot at the presidency is the P.D.P... And they will try (really really hard), but they would fail because the PDP knows that in a free and fair election, it would eb hard for a northerner to win the presidency (irrespective of political party)..

4. When they lose the PDP, they would rally behind the CPC (under a concensus candidate), get the ACN to join them and like 2011, they would also fail...

5. The South East know that they really do not stand a chnace with the crop of politicians they currently have so they would align with the South South incumbent to go for another term!

6. Unfortunately, Jonathan would recontest and would win the residency of Nigeria for a second (and 1/3) term in office..
Hehehehehehehhehehehhehehehehehehe

Tell Okija shrine, he got it wrong this time... GEJ will be re-elected in the Ijaw creeks to lord over militants....
Politics › Re: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by bittyend(m): 10:59am On May 22, 2012
Johndoe100: Let's hear it for NL. PDP is dead, all the govs in the north have agreed to retire to their cows. Why is there this constant and never ending self deception on this board? PDP is suddenly going to implode and CPC and ACN are going to stroll into Aso Rock? Apart from any thing else in this country the FGN holds unimaginable powers. They still have 3 years to go. None of you are listening to the acheivements of the government, but the people who vote are listening. The message is getting out, a lot remains to be done but we have started.
Forgive me if I so rudely tried to bring you all into the real world, PDP lost the last election here anyway right? It was what happened in the real world that counted then too.
Buhari already told you what will happen if PDP wins in 2015... That's what I'm interested in, and how the country can break into pieces... I would rather live in a Yoruba country, than be lorded over again by a clueless Ijaw man, simples...

Atiku, GEJ, David Mark, Babangida and their likes shall be consumed in 2015. If they want to rule, they can do that from their graves, or declare their own country in their house, and lord over their wives and kids.

faithin9ja: Most the posters here have not been to Nigeria recently.

'Shoprite' the south african retailer with a few outlets in Nigeria sells at least 60% Nigerian sourced products, NBL, Nido, St Louis Sugar, indomie, palm wine are all available in Shoprite, Lekki at lower than Oshodi prices.

My business actually is supplier to both Shoprite and Game in Lekki.

Walmart will be led by what the market demands, it will have to source local produced products to sell because that's what the market demands and can afford.the agenda is to make a profit not ideological 'we must sell american or chinese'

Walmart employs over 2.1million employees worldwide, is the biggest private sector employer of labor in the US, we complain that we don't have employers in Nigeria, FDI (especially not the Chinese variety that bring their own laborers) is one way of getting more people into the organised labor force in Nigeria.

A country of 160 million people not one private sector company has up to 35,000 employess
Nigeria is not ripe fro walmart, end of story... The average Nigerian makes a living by selling goods in small quantities - where do you want these people to earn a living, when the big boys come into town, with super cheap products from china?? And you know Nigerians are obsessed with anything western - add that cheap to the equation, and say goodbye to Alaba market, and Tejuosho market. sad

Where is the tribal sentiment?? And who's going to be affected if walmart comes to Nigeria?

Call a spade, a spade.

breezy047: I dont subscribe to this.
Boko haram during the time of yaradua and OBJ was like a viper that has no fangs. . .
Their pepetrations were mild and did not shake the entire country. . .
But what happens when power suddenly jolted out of the hands of Northerners and shifted to Jonathan. . .
Suddenly boko haram had fangs and gained supports and funds. . .
So what are we talking about here? That all these is attributed to mere usual fanatism?
Fanatism itself is a tool in the hands of northern politicians.
Based on the way the northerners SEE their religion, perhaps its easier to convince them 'hate' and REBEL against a president who does not fully represent their BELIEF. . .

I'm with EKT_BEAR on this. . .the northerners would always try to DISRUPT the reign of any in POWER who is not a notherner. . .
What most of you don't understand is that Nigeria (as long as it exist) will always be a Northern, and Southern protectorate - regardless of all ethnic factions in both the North and South.. So, I see why the North always want power back after a Southern ruler - regardless of the tribe..

There are no permanent friends in politics, and we as Yoruba need to go with the side - which will benefit us the most... To be honest, Igbo politics will never be in the interest of the Yorubas because they're to individualistic to speak with one voice... And the Ijaws have proven to be almost similar to them... GEJ became the president of Nigeria because of SNC, and Obasanjo (Yoruba man) - but what have gained from his presidency?? All the juicy ministerial positions went mostly to Ijaws, Igbos, and Northerners..

The North on the other hand will always speak with one voice, as long as Islam is their religion (sad but true lol).. Politics is a game of numbers, and we will definitely benefit from aligning with the North than other parts of the South - from the upper Delta, to across the river Niger..

History 101: Southern politics have NEVER benefited Yoruba since the inception of Nigeria.. 1959, 1963, 1966, 1979, 1992, and 1999 - we were BETRAYED by the SOUTH!!
Politics › Re: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by bittyend(m): 10:22am On May 22, 2012
kettykin: getting the post of veepee is not an issue , a veepee is just a political spare tire, however cutting the arewa to size should be of most importance to yorubas now, come to think of it what really can atiku or bushari do for nigeria that gej presidency is not already doing or will not do.

Presently depsperate boko haram having run out of ideas are now looking for a way to rope in the south and put the blame of all the attacks on southerners, this is the level of their desperation. Yorubas should not fall for their desperation , the north needs to be cut to size
Why do you care so much about the Yoruba? Yoruba will only do what's beneficial to their race - and I'd rather we align with the North, than support a GEJ candidacy... GEJ is useless, period... The South is a clan of Yoruba hating tribes - outside Edo, and parts of Delta... So, why should we align with people who're natural Yoruba haters??

We're experts when it comes to Nigerian politics - and I'm sure the Yoruba power-brokers have finalised their game plan for 2015.. grin

You, the newbies and inexperienced Yoruba hating clans need to worry about your game plan, and leave us to do us...

Does this woman think with her fat lips, or does her brain work backwards?? This stupid capitalist initiative will skyrocket the poverty level in Nigeria..

Oknojo Iweala should be slapped for even thinking about bringing walwart to Nigeria, end of. cool
Family › What's Wrong With These Fake Oyinbos Married To Nigerian Men? by bittyend(op): 9:49am On May 22, 2012
Someone, please help me out with all these British East Africans, Jamaican Americans, American African, Zimbabwe British, Jamaican African American, British Nigerian (lol), Ghana German etc. married to naija men - and their problems with our culture..

I'm tired of reading their thrash.. Seriously, who cares about your boring pseudo-identities? If you can't get along, nor adapt to something, why get involved with it in the first place? It's better to look out for the culture that suits your lifestyle, when getting into a relationship.

I, for example think Igbo girls suit my temperament the most (though I'm Yoruba), and that's why I only go after Igbo girls... And you will never catch me getting into a serious relationship with any girl that isn't Igbo..

You girls need to do the same, and stop wasting your bandwidth to open silly posts, with the intention of chatting air about a culture that's been in existence since your ancestors were like monkeys jump from one tree branch to the other lol. Your ancestors were covering their arses with leaves, when the culture had people wearing clothes, and making bronze heads..

As for the European culture you like to flaunt, those aryans were barbarian cannibals who never used to shower; and were running naked with neanderthals when the oduduwa was building architectures lol... Not knocking European culture because I was partly raised on it too, but I'm tired of reading boring stories.. cheesy

cliveland: pls mention any of Snoop dog's album or single that is as big and smashing as those did by DR. DRE pls stick with the programme here.
Clown, don't challenge my opinions when I talk about West Coast music, and g-funk.. That's the music I grew up on, from NWA, Ice Cube, Ice T, Dj Quik, Dogg Pound, Compton most wanted, Terrace Martin, Roscoe, Tupac, Snoop, Mac dre, Shock G, Goldie Locs, DUB C, Mac10, MC Eiht, Jayo Felony, BG Knockout, Frank Nitty etc.. And I still have Kendrick Lemar, Schoolboy, and Jay Rock blasting out of my speakers right about now...

Back to Snoop dogg:

With Dr. Dre:
-Dog/gystyle 4x Platinum

Without Dr. Dre:
- Tha Doggfather (on No Limit) 5x Platinum. It also did better than Dog/gystyle on the charts in countries like Australia, The United Kingdom and Canada.

- Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told 4x Platinum.

- No Limit Top Dogg 3x Platinum

- Tha Last Meal 2x Platinum

And bear in mind that Snoop Dogg became more successful, and a business man after Dr. Dre...

Ice Cube also achieved the same amount of success after he left NWA and Dr. Dre...

Stay in your lane, bruv.

basher: As we type, there are two Nigerians involved in the current UK no.1 single, Rita Ora ft Tinie Tempah - R.I.P. The song contains a sample from Nneka's song 'Heart Beat' and Tinie Tempah is Nigerian.
Fool, Rita Ora is NOT NIGERIAN!! And Tinie was featured, the record don't belong to Tinie... FYI, Rita Ora is signed to Roc nation, and she's Rihanna's replacemet, so she would have made number1; with or without Tinie.

Rita Sahatçiu Ora (born 26 November 1990), better known as Rita Ora, is a British singer-songwriter and actress.[2][3] In 2009, she appeared on the BBC's Eurovision: Your Country Needs You where she auditioned to be the British contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.[1] Later in 2009, she signed to Roc Nation. Ora is of Kosovar Albanian ethnicity.
