UKEMY:That's the same thing they told the governor if he intends to rest his popularity let him conduct LG elections and not this caretaker installation he wants to do. Anyways the law will take it's course. The Simplified movement will need to prove their case according to law and not otherwise thst this members have truly defected. Certainly a governor can't be the one to formally speak on defection when the party at the National level says otherwise and even the Wards these members belong to can take the stance of the governor if we intend to follow the way of the law. |
Peacecore:Well we wish them all good luck. I hear the Simplified movement is on their way to the court with no substantial evidence according to law to prove the purported televised defection of the 27 RSHA legislators. PDP National does not have a formal letter of defection received by them and there's no formal formal proof of them being members of the APC other than what the populace was shown. It is now being regarded as a stunt. I look forward to the High Court Judge in RS and what evidence will be shown him and what judgement will be given by him. I intend to see where this academic work will lead to. |
PrinceofSarcasm:We are watching 2027 is not far. |
Whalis:And if he defects will that stop him from being impeached or removed from office if the PDP National then says he has decamped, will he not be made to vacate the office of the governor? |
UKEMY:Impeached by which council, the outgoing one he belongs to or the Care taker council the governor intends to put in place? I want to believe you reside in Rivers State and know who these persons are in person and not what you read from the social media.... |
PrinceofSarcasm:It's too early to say such. For me apart from God the next maybe serious health issues that would probably make him stay in the hospital that will prevent him. Even Pa Atiku has said he will continue to vie for that position as long as he is in health. |
spencekat:No, the office is an institution. But the person is not. |
spencekat:When the nation starts to operate true autonomy of the various arms of government and respect of law's and not this caricature practice then you'll know what it means. |
[quote author=Jayhome24 post=130120190]From my point of views entire LG chairmen can not be sack without conducting election to that effect just my own thinking I may be wrong though...[/quot That is how it ought to be and that is the law. The law does not recognize care taker LG chairmen or even using any civil servant be it head of service or LGC to head over the LGAs. It's time we all practice what is right from the grassroots to the top. |
Vadese1:Is there any politician who is not interested in eating money and how much more Rivers State money. Is SIM not going around giving money to those who he thinks are supporting him and still looking for more supports. Let it not happen to him the same way it happened to GEJ. Those who have collected real money and eaten have nothing to loose. |
abidem4real:There is no boss. I look forward to the day when LGA will be truly be autonomous then you'll know that there are LGA chairmen that are bigger than even a Governor. Let true democracy take it's rightful place through all these shenanigans happening here and there. |
Chinjo2:When the time reach we will be told who are the Ijaws and who will make oil production cripple in Niger Delta. The real Ijaws don't write such things in social media. |
Vadese1:There's no body in Rivers State that will want to fight the FG if Fubara is impeached. Everyone is attending to their surveillance contracts. The names of those who are the people who are only needs to be submitted to the appropraite authorities. No man will want to fight for another man when he is already feeding big from a largeese ill-gotten. |
IgOga:I have watched the video. It is an interesting one indeed. The G60 leader dodged some questions though. He is ascertaining that the Lawyer used is a private lawyer......I don't really know what he plans to achieve by that. Even presidential candidates who go to court get the services of private lawyer(s). The party is not on a path of self sabotage but correcting the anomaly of people who think they understand politics. This is politics. Everyone will learn be it for or against. |
aviara:d Is the constitution of the Rivers State PDP different from that of the National and who has the final say? Maybe we would soon hear that the PDP Rivers State is different from the PDP National. Why has the PDP Rivers State and the Exco members from the Wards of these legislators not removed their names from their books or even sent them letters of expulsion since they left....... ![]() |
Mjshexy:There's no more competent fellow that can achieve what the Honourable Minister and former Governor in the person of HE Nyesom Wike in this present time and circumstances we find ourselves as a people. Whether you like him or not there is not yet one person given the time. With what he has done, given the time frame and bureaucracy and botle necks he has achieved much more than those before him and even virtually all the State govenors put together in about 5 geographical zones out of 7 if I'm not mistaken. He will maintain an unbeaten record for projects delivery with set time frame. |
IgOga:Please who is the PDP National because this information will make a lot of people begin to receive sense oOoOO. Even Pa Bode George, once said Wike is not playing anti party politics. I like it when men especially the aged speak the truth and tell people to look at the issues dissecting it piece by piece and not say words out of sentiments robbed in oil of hypocrisy. Today is Friday. Let's wait and see who else on the National PDP will make this information potent. |
worksmart:Since Late Abacha's wife made that comment (I'll say it's a gossip though) that they can never be as poor as him that was when we knew that he is just only a figure head to those whose aim is to strong arm the Nigerian economy. |
Konquest:So you are saying that the US crude is cheaper to import and then refine when compared to the refinery that is situated in Nigeria buying Nigerian crude and refining!!!! ?So why would anyone sane mind invest in Nigerian crude to refine? |
BeeBeeOoh:Not sure he was speaking from the point of one who is from the academia. Probably he is saying an adage. |
BeeBeeOoh:I will only say except the Minister is trying to say that Dangote's refinery is yet to get the US crude. Otherwise it seems he is either telling the President that he does not know the operational reason behind the refinery and where it intends to get it's crude from and by that saying there will be no import duties on such crude. |
casualobserver:We will see how it goes. |
Mjshexy:Abuja became unsafe because those who claim to own the nation does not want a Southerner to become a Minister of the FCT. Nevertheless they will all be shamed. The FCT Minister has done what and continue to do that which many would never think of doing. So be it the FCT Minister is in Abuja or not he is not the one who is the NPF, NA, NAF, NN, DSS, NIA, NSCDC, etc, etc, whose work is to ensure that criminals are taken off the streets within their domain for that is the reason they were employed in the first instance. They are the ones who enforce the laws and not the FCT. |
Lordsonn:Did you read the letter from the court or you only wrote just because you read the headlines..... |
casualobserver:You are really mistaken. Do you really think a High Court Judge will assent to a matter that is not within the jurisdiction of the court. Do you really understand what that even means to any Judge who does that as a career public officer? |
correctyourself:Just as the legislature will take 20 years to put into law policies that will put good money into the hands of the common man but will be fast within 2 days to approve an increase in their allowance and wages and also get paid within 7 days of such approval. |
Islie:As long as it is Mr. Projects, he never fails to deliver. You are truly a man of your words. You are rated high more than all the governors in the South South. |
I see a lot of no sense people making comments and giving congratulatory messages. Please does all these add any value to the people in Kano Emirate? Does it add any value to the girl child in the Emirate? Has it stopped the Almajiri system? |
Racoon:I don't think this CBN governor will be any better compared to the former. This is a trial and error CBN governor and nothing more. |
DeOTR:What makes you think we are over populated? Or do you rely on the population figures being thrown around over the years!!!!!! Even in the '70s the purported population was never proportional to our resources. The only problem in Nigeria's population is that even the working population especially those in civil service from FG, States and LGA are unproductive. The government needs to ensure they put them to proper work rather than downsizing. There are institutions, ministries, agencies, parastatals, commissions, that are for revenue generation, the government should put them in order by doing the right thing. Even the ministry of agriculture is a whole lot a plave for IGR but the government is lacking in driving realistic and achievable ideologies to ensuring the nations true economic growth. As a developing nation, we are yet to harness the resources of the nation and putting the derivates of such to usefulness. |
Beautifulday:That is why it is now a good thing that a greater number of the States have now agreed to State Police and with that they will put such monies for it's finding. We also look forward to same being done by the Local Government Areas, there they can have the so called Community Police. |
jaxxy:There's no amount of covering that can be done where money is involved. You can only destroy documents to halt paper trails but if the government wants to prosecute anyone and not this comedy they go about and social media trial and sentiments they absolutely know what to do and where else to look. |
