What surprises me here is that, the judge gave an order late yesterday, and certified true copy was also ready that same day, so government officials are so fast with discharging their responsibility?

Since when did they become so effective? the officials that , once it's 3:30pm they're already outside office waiting for their staff?

Just as the legislature will take 20 years to put into law policies that will put good money into the hands of the common man but will be fast within 2 days to approve an increase in their allowance and wages and also get paid within 7 days of such approval.

I don't think this CBN governor will be any better compared to the former. This is a trial and error CBN governor and nothing more.

As it turns out, we are overpopulated beyond our our means. Or how do you explain the obvious fact that we can't even feed ourselves? Unemployment everywhere because our resources are overstretched.
My Dad got his first job on the day of his graduation in the 70s. That was a time our national resources are proportional to our population.
If you want to be honest with yourself, to raise for children averagely comfortably in Nigeria of today, you have to be earning nothing less half a million a month.
While I think the FG should increase the minimum wage to about a hundred thousand or above, it is very important as citizens to do our own part.
Uncontrolled explosion in population is already having its effect on us as a nation with the inherent unemployment, rising insecurity and hunger. We can't keep breeding like rats and hoping somehow money will fall from somewhere to take care of them.

What makes you think we are over populated?

Even in the '70s the purported population was never proportional to our resources.

The only problem in Nigeria's population is that even the working population especially those in civil service from FG, States and LGA are unproductive. The government needs to ensure they put them to proper work rather than downsizing. There are institutions, ministries, agencies, parastatals, commissions, that are for revenue generation, the government should put them in order by doing the right thing. Even the ministry of agriculture is a whole lot a plave for IGR but the government is lacking in driving realistic and achievable ideologies to ensuring the nations true economic growth.
As a developing nation, we are yet to harness the resources of the nation and putting the derivates of such to usefulness.

Community policing is what state should fund.

That is why it is now a good thing that a greater number of the States have now agreed to State Police and with that they will put such monies for it's finding.
We also look forward to same being done by the Local Government Areas, there they can have the so called Community Police.

There's no amount of covering that can be done where money is involved. Every State governor has been doing such in different ways not only to the military.
Even the NPF benefits from such largese of security vote. That is why the States needs to commence their own State Police so that they can fund them properly while the FG takes care of that which is theirs.

Let the FG come out with a template on how that purported #54,000 would be spent on a monthly basis by that civil servant and let's even assume that it's just for a single individual without any dependants if that's even possible.
The FG knows what to do to make the nation productive and very productive but as a nation and a people we prefer short cuts and like putting forth unrealistic policies that are only good on paper.
There's a big difference between a nation being operational rather than functional and that is where and what Nigeria is.

We are an unserious people in this nation.
Who in the military is he giving that amount of money monthly? He just succeeded in making sure the insecurity grows more in his State by that act.
I would rather find an independent security outfit like some of our former militant brothers in the Niger Delta pay them that money and see what they will achieve or call all those bandits and share that money amongst them and tell them to desist from such activities and maintain order within their domains.

It seems like just because he is a governor he has forgotten that there are rules as a career civil servant. For now enjoy the immunity as a governor while it lasts. Even the former CBN governor acted on approvals from the Presidency.

In Gov. Sim case it's entirely different. The State Assembly have preinformed the governor to conduct the LG election before the expiration of those who are chairmen so that the issue of caretaker chairmen will not finds it's place for such practice is unconstitutional.
