I am legally married to this man and we have 3 sons together. Recently he purchased some land which he actually told me about but when I checked the documents of all the land I only saw Mr(his name in full) and not Mr & Mrs (his name and surname) or Mr (his name ) and Mrs (My name ). If there's actually anything to be worried about then it should be whose name is as next of kin on his documents.
As regards the Mr and Mrs being written on property documents I think it would be wise for you if you inquire from a lawyer if such is useful in the Nigerian court and can be used as proof of ownership even if one person is no longer alive.

I am not a Tinubu fan but i don't have problem with this policy but for few concerns.

Here is why.

In England, you pay 3 things on a car mandatorily. These are Road tax. you pay tax to government for using their road. Every car in UK pays this. UK government makes billions of pounds every year from it. We pay insurance and we do MOT every year.

The government needs money to run things. Nigeria is owing almost 50 trillion. That debt needs to be paid.

Here is my concern with this policy

Timing: Nigerian's are suffering already. You removed Subsidy that skyrocketed commodity price and PMS price without anything to cushion the effect on the people.
The price should be reduced to 300 naira which will give government 30 billion each year assuming we have 100 million cars. 30 billion can do a lot on roads in a year.

Whatever takes money out of people's lean pocket should be avoided for now.

Electricity bill is going up in July

We don't have data to track all cars in Nigeria to ensure compliance. Agbero will harass Nigerians unnecessarily. making life hell for motorists.

Ogas at the top will print receipts and take the cash away except where it must be directly paid to the bank and online receipt generated which road safety can verify on the go when they ask a driver.

The FG can't be taxing vehicles to use the road, there are also State and Local Government owned roads. Please stop comparing the UK policy with that of Nigeria, it's irritating.


If the FG wants to pay the loan they borrowed they should find other ways to pay it and not transfer it on the masses. If you take a loan from the bank do you go and meet someone else to pay it !!!!

The FG is over stepping her boundaries. You can't place a yearly tax on vehicles when thr roads in country is not owned by the FG alone. There are also SG and LG roads.
I just hope this administration does not want to turn into an all round tax collector.
I expect the States to kick against such. The FG can reintroduce toll gates if they choose to on their high ways in the 6 geo political zones.

I and my gal are planning settling down despite genotype not matching , she's AS same with me, but because of medical technological advancements, we visited a specialist who told us that we can still marry if we so desired to be together.

even in the CBN memo it is written clearly that Banks should encourage customers to use other alternative channels like online banking, POS, enaira and USSD.

Why am I transferring money through the POS from my account into another account when I have a phone to do same thing?

POS will just be out of business if care is not taken if we intend to do cashless in it's real sense. All it takes is every business owner(products) having a POS to accept payments from people who don't know how to used bank apps or ussd codes for payments.

the amount of atm facilities is not enough for people, so they tend to use POS service

POS works like your atm in some ways, you can transfer to another account, pay for goods and a lot more

so the cashless policy is more of a supporter of POS because POS is also part of the cashless system

I don't think you understand how the POS service functions....
Nevertheless I don't think there's less ATM points across the country. The reason why many patronize POS for one reason is because of the queue you'll either meet at the ATM points or even inside the banking halls because we are a people always in a hurry to some non existent place.

you're right but Nigeria situation is very unique. The executive system of government we practice is so ridiculous that only the president control almost everything. If we get it right,he can effect the needed changes that will trickle down to everywhere.

Let's say the president appoints an IG of police who has zero tolerance for road blocks and extortion,same officer knows commanding officers who are of like minds and so it trickles down to DPOs who command the officers on the road and ready to fire erring ones. Nigeria is top-down command system and not ground -up

The believe system of top-down command is the reason why the country seems not be progressing. The kind of progress we are celebrating is an artificial type.
At all levels everyone is expected to work with tangible results and not one arm depending on the other.
How can a trader in a remote village be blaming the President when he has the Counselor of his ward to attend to his matters and even the LGA Chairman....

what you described up there is a One bed flat. Self-contain is an equivalent of a studio flat.

Some years ago I travelled to go see one of my female friends in Warri and when we attended church together she introduced me to her Pastor who asked me which kind of house I was staying in and I said a One bed flat and his face changed and he was kind of quiet for a while and the female friend had to tell him it's a Self contain and it's been called a One bedroom flat in my area and he was smiling. What they call a Self contain is a Squatter or thereabout. I guess it's their own terminology.

A self contain in Delta State has this features : lounge, bedroom, kitchen and your bathroom/toilet. I hope that's what it is and not bedroom, kitchen and bathroom/toilet as it is in some other States'.

Go to where they sold kitchen pot ask them you need “ film” used to wash back of stained pot, it’s a white dry substance sold around N200 per one, buy as many as you can.
Apply it into sponge and wash the stainless, it will clear off.
Then you can buy liquid stainless cleaner to shine it. With N2000 all your stainless will look like new one
That is all.

One of the many mistakes clients make is to take a quotation from one prospective contractor and give it to another person to handle the same quotation.

Hello my people,

Nigeria is showing me pepper of recent. I got one land in an estate still within Ibeju-Lekki and I got allocated last year December or so. A few months later, we got news that another RE company came to claim the whole estate. (This estate is covered with genuine global C of O).

Since then (March 2022), the company has been begging and asking for more time to either get the estate back or relocate us.

From March till now, nothing has changed, been intouch with all the major players in the company (MD, CTO, secretary and even their lawyer), yet begging and stories are what I keep getting.

Can anyone recommend a better approach to getting my refund or at least getting another land without going the legal route?

I have 2 cases in court already (LAG and PH), one from last year June and another from July this year and I don't like the progress at all (Too much adjournments and excuses from the sitting judges and registrars) apart from the money it keeps taking from me.

Is the court the only way here? (Actually told their lawyer I was going to serve them papers but he said it will only prolong the matter).

Make una advise me abeg, this country is giving me some serious double mind.

Anyone with similar experience and how was it resolved?

Not sure if I made a mistake believing in this country.
