fasho01: Looking forward to the day the Tinubu dynasty will collapse in Lagos state.
However, with the way he is being worshipped by the grassroot politicians here, I pray his fall comes sooner than later
Why are you praying for someone to fall, and you plan or look forward to be great someday. Too bad to start the year with. Change your mindset is not too late.
spiralwedge: Thanks for your advice. I will not rush. I am in the research phase and will carry out due diligence.
I'd stayed briefly in Ibadan when I was younger. Well, since you asked I'd give you my honest observations, nothing personal. It was dirty, a bit rough, political thuggery was rampant, slight traffic, water shortage during dry season, rampant electricity outage, troublesome neighbours and some funny body odour, especially in the cabs. Lol. The city is very large yet there are no major industries or work except transportation, and trading. Though less aggressive than Lagos, the atmosphere was like Lagos. I don't want a place like Lagos. Only Bodija and Bashorun areas were my favourites. But it's possible things have changed now as I've not been for years.
Bro, though u exclude ogun state out of ur list, but u can give a second thought to Abk. A nice environment fast becoming a new commercial city with new infrastructure development
Shaytun: If the Vp really made this statement, then not only has he dragged his office through the mud. But he has lost all the respect I have for him.
This is election season, the Vice President is doing the needful to keep is office so that the office won't be dragged as mentioned. Ask for respect i don't think he need such from you, of what used is your respect, your vote for him is what matter to him.

Earthquake2: You don't know the amount of South Easterners living in the aforementioned regions
Political lightweights
How many of them are eligible voters in the said aforementioned region. Eyin people yin eh change strategy. I am certain across Southwest their is not up to One million ibo that will cast their vote in 2019. Even in ur so called region the total vote cast can't amount to 2 millions vote. You can do the mathematics.
If you continue to meddle in our affairs we will go completely tribal with you guys, PA awolowo own go be child play.
Riversides2003: Yorubas shouldn’t be selfish, how can we be talking about a Yoruba presidency in 2023,so what happens to the igbo?am a Yoruba but I think it’s time for the Igbos also to have a shot if truly it’s one Nigeria as we preach. If they cannot be allowed to rule they should let them have their Biafra in peace instead abi.
The igbo should earned it, by building bridges not demanding for it, obasanjo presidency was hard earned by the Yoruba because of June 12.
So 2019 election is purely tribal not issue base as the writer wrote.
Reference: That is why I say democracy can never grow in the south-west with this godfatherism attitude and it was all started by Tinubu. No leader in that region since him has been elected by popular mandate. They are all appointed to power and rubber stamped by a phantom process.
In years to come you will have power brokers all over the place justling to become 'a Jagaban' type godfather with the attendant effect of less service to the prople and more loyalty to the master. With time the interests of the people will fade as can be seen in Lagos and the decline in the quality of supossedly elected officials.
Before giving u a robust reply which region birth you?
2chukwu: Since I learnt Yoruba and certificate forgeries are like five and six, couple with the fact the dude is a mere confusionist who with all his awards could not be bold enough to stand up for anything right in his own county! Just like the other one with all his certificates and level of pastorship still serve under a lifeless and certificateless Fulani...tufiakwa!!!
You are looking for attention u will not get? This season is not for returning banter. Enjoy the love God gives through his son. Compliment of the season
Cas1741: There is an old proverb about the potentially calamitous outcome of seemingly "minor' errors: a blacksmith shoeing a horse for a dispatch for rider omits a nail, as a result of which the horse loses the shoe and throws its rider, as a result of which the message the rider was carrying does not make it to the battlefield, as a result of which the battle is lost, as a result of which the kingdom is lost. All for want of a nail. This cautionary proverb speaks of what the Nigerian army is afflicted with, huge monies are budgeted and stolen; no one pays attention, poor kids from very poor parents desperate to survive, enlist in the army, are poorly trained and poorly equipped, sent to fight and die. no person takes the time to ask hard questions, pay attention to minor details, senior officers court marshal soldiers who complain, they are demoralized and put up half baked resistance and slowly, the kingdom is lost. BH takes villages, local govts and soon, very soon, states will fall and the battle will be lost with huge human and financial costs, all because, one bigman who doesn't give a dam sits on the helm of state affairs and minor errors with grave calamity are made. SAD.
Nice write up bro! This is my email address truetalk087@gmail.com. Can we work out something on Human security in Nigeria, particularly as it relates to the poor Masse's. Looking forward seeing your response.
That is so so on point. The reality facing some first class brain. Is good to be brilliant, but be smart and intelligent is the real deal in overcoming the challenge associated with after school
oilPUSSY: How many Northerners are in Anambra to compare with Igbos in the Kaduna ? These are the things you have to put into consideration before you start your zombie analysis. And for your information, 4 non igbos are holding sensitive positions in Anambra today while one is a commissioner. I don't want to discuss about Ebonyi state because you know what is going on there. What of IMO state ?., Who doesnt know the kind of love Okorocha have for Northerners ?
Keep your bigotry to yourself.
Provide names and profile not annoymous 4 non igbo holding sensitive position
sarrki: This is craziness on the part of Nigeria journalism
It’s real shame what our media houses have turned to in the name of religion and politics
Are u alright at all? Did you know what it means to lose one source of livehook to those good for nothing herdsmen. My friend be warmed, do u know the damages this Fulani herdsmen has cause me and a friend of mine. Eating 7 acres of land.
The worst part of it all is, when we caught one them whose cows damage our farm, three acres out of seven acres. He offer to pay less than 20% invested on the farm excluding projected profit.
Sarrki abi kini oje, how much are u pay for type rubbish most time or is it because of likes the say those rubbish.
What do you expect from someone who felt he has arrived politically, when he begged his way to get the governorship tickets towards the build up to 2011 election, now he thought he somebody.
This i perceived Ambode might have done if given the ticket.
Marygold637: With a red pen. this ☝ guy is not serious. Okay, I get its use now.
In case you don't know, red Pen is what is use by the executive, whether be it president or Governor. No government officials make a mistake of using it, if he/she mistake does that na sack letter sure pass.
teflonjake: I am an authority in the field of political science. Forget the crap called checks and balance, those are favorable and unfavorable terms in politics. We all know what executive power means.
If you understand the social science called politics, you won't argue much.
Let me say u goof by ur assertion that you are an authority in the of political science, even if you are a professor which i strongly doubt. Saying check and balance only work in theory.
The true of the matter is Ambode is powerless, in the sense that he does not control the any security apparatus, if he(Ambode) failed to play along he will be dealt with. If the context of Authority was use in referring to the president then i can still agree with your assertion to an extent.
Bane2020: How come Yoruba and Igbo agree on every other thing except politics? on the streets of Nigeria and even abroad a common Yoruba and Igbo are best of friends, business partners, colleagues etc... lots of Igbos and Yorubas at least based on my observation here in the USA are almost inseparably noticeable in every groundbreaking academic achievements here, top of their classes and graduating set... check the Nigerian sounding names... Yorubas and Igbos top the list... Then other Nigerians. I've attended at least 3 weddings between Igbos and Yorubas over the last few months.. all this good natured relationships off the hateful world of the internet where both tribes go at each other like they can literally start a bloody war against each other anytime soon... Can never agree politically, where did it all go wrong?
It all started in 1951, when Zik want to become premier of the West and we kicked against it. Another fallout is the civil war, the Igbos accused us of betraying them, simple bcoz we didn't join them or support the idea of secession. Since then till now, the conduct of the fathers now rob on us the children which is very bad. Can you imagine the two most enlighten group now play second fiddle to an average enlighten group in Nigeria.
CyynthiaKiss: So it has come to this ?, it's no more about competence/competency or the progress of Nigeria, it's now "our son " " our son "... How has Osibanjo's vice presidency enhanced the standard of living of an average Yoruba man on the street ? Osibanjo was there when buhari's footsoldiers killed one of the members of Osibanjo's church (RCCG), Osibanjo did not do anything, he kept quite as if nothing happened.. Osibanjo was there when herdsmen were hell bent in eliminating Christians in Benue which they will continue from where they stopped if buhari wins ... Pastor Osibanjo said that we should pray for herdsmen.. SMH. Why are my people hell bent in supporting evil even though we might one day become the victims of the evil we are supporting. Why are my Yoruba people shooting themselves on the legs just because of this satanic government led my muhammed buhari simply because of VP ? It's obvious that we are heading for self destruction.
So the election has now become tribal ? even though inside us we all know that buhari is nothing but a curse to this nation. I hope those who intend to tribilise this election would be able to bear the consequences when the chips are down ?
CyynthiaKiss has spoken!
Is this all you can cough out from your brain? Please Stick to what works for you okay. We are voting our Son period.
deedeedee1: [s][/s] O ti fe logbon abi? There is nothing like one Nigeria. It doesn't exist. Under Jonathan, ibos dominated everywhere -- from finance to aviation, they were everywhere. Nigeria economy did not matter to them because they were dominating everywhere. Pious anyim who was the sgf gave contract to many ibos. This is why they are mad that Jonathan couldn't win his second term. During this time, yorubas were marginalized -- thanks to the ibos that have always been our greatest antagonists. They have abandoned their Biafra project. This means they never wanted to leave Nigeria. Check this thread to see for yourself: https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan#9019675 Like I said before, there is nothing like one Nigeria. The best way is for Nigeria to split. This way, we won't have tribal politics like we have in Nigeria. This will let us vote for the most compitent Yoruba to lead Yoruba nation.
Deede you are on point, but i implore you pass your message without insult, changing the mindset of our people must be done with superior argument not insult sogbo.
sasquareT: Bros it high time we rise above this sentiment of tiwa ni tiwa kind of politics, osibanjo and his principal has try their best so let another man try...for the 3 years Osibanjo has been the vice president what exactly has he add to Yoruba nation? I was reading somewhere just now, the list of the people that PMB has appointed to government in Katsina alone is more than 30 not to talk of North in general same can not be said of osibanjo, and yet you just want to vote for him because he is a Yoruba man... I mean where will this kind of politics take us, Osibanjo is good no doubt but his principal is zero and he is not giving him a chance....even if you are hoping that he will hand over to osibanjo by 2023 which is not even certain, how many of us will leave to see it with this kind of hunger and insecurity in the land...I obliged you cos you sound good and mature
Thanks for the compliment @ your last comment. Yorubas has also gain from this present administration in terms of employment and appointment, we have much to gain in APC now than PDP, just take a look at the party structure and hierarchy of leadership in PDP how many Yorubas sons' and daughters can truly influence things in favor of the Yoruba race, just few days again Fayose threatening to quit the party, who will protect our interest is what matters now.
Don't forget our neighbors are ready to spite us at any opportunity if will let down our guide, while they keep their own stronghold intact.
maynation: Since when has competence been placed below one's tribal affiliation?? Your types are the problem Nigeria is facing.
How could you be typing balonies like this?
I voted Buhari 2015 and I'm voting the idiot out come 2019.
Ati oun ati Osinbajo, Igbo ni yara obo awon mejeeji.
Smile, I understand your concern, I too campaign and vote Buhari in 2015, but we are talking about Political survival of a region here. Competence or not, is not the issue of concerns, just a reminder Awolowo was the most competent, in1959, 1979, but the other region consider there political destiny than competence, by so doing they stick to their own. Nigeria politics is still shape by ethnicity than issues.
Omo iya, hope you can see my view, I am not enemy of progress.
stanluiz: Resurgent relax. Nobody will marginalized Yoruba in atiku PDP if he wins.
Stop panicking. You guys will be compensated with SGF or senate president. Stop that fear that Igbo's will marginalized you people we are good people. We hate injustice and marginalisation of anybody.
The same way Jonathan compensate us with SFG after voting for him abi? Tell me which PDP chieftain in SW, is sure to return to the Senate as ranking senator. That can get the Senate President seat.
sasquareT: Omo Ale jatijati bi tiyin, toun huwa eru lo je ki won ma pe wa ni eru......Truth I am not a Yoruba like you cos I am a true xtian Yoruba and You are a true head slammer Yoruba, so we are different......arindin bi ti e loun doju tiwa
Hmmmm,. A true Christian that is giving room for abuse ehn. Anyway that is not the bone of contention. Omo iya mi self na real confirm Son of God, who understand the scripture, but must be wise like Apostle Paul who declared before the councils what he believes in simply because some shared his opinion amount the councils Acts 23:1-10.
Omo iya, please thou shall not exchange osinbajo for Obi, dakun Jo. It will be a worst political decision for we the Yorubas if will trade our Son without assurance from a political party that treat us with disdain in the time past. Even me I am angry with Buhari government, but will must not fall for the bait of the Igbos.
