The children of his he sent abroad with 'agbero money' would soon be back to contest and win elections in Lagos. Disgraceful precedent... |
If not Nairaland is full of badly educated and unexposed humans, would have said this discourse be targeted irrespective of tribe all vices we have in our society. Some of the scams for example are so elaborate, time consuming, I still marvel at how they don't instead invest in building up brands. |
Disappointed in her or her lawyers. The first step is justice, then comes compensation where possible by the judge. |
This statement is further from the truth, SA already had an unusual tenacity for crime and violence before. Their townships long neglected is reaching boiling point in the last few years and bound to continue. Why despite their low population, are they overrepresented in violent crimes. Isn't it time to also close ranks and start condemning the evils in our society. Fraud, cultism (organised crime), corruption and flashy living are the bane of Nigerians abroad. |
I'd pay the company no more than than $500 million without which foreign investors may very much lose confidence in our institutions and credibility. Should also be a lesson for leaders that sign off stupid deals that leaves us hanging with no recourse to oversight. |
Its going to be hard to believe Nigeria isn't some sort of 'criminal race'. 60% ready to fleece you given the opportunity. We seem to be overrepesented in criminality and can be traced down to the dumbed down level of education and ethics in the society. Also the hypocrites pointing out other tribes...reserve my comments. |
Lol. For 5% tax, the whole country is getting annoyed. I hope a day will come where your education would be worth it's weight. |
Xbee007:It goes like this; as desert encroachment continues far north, dwindling Chad basin, etc. We're going to have an issue with people turning into crime to survive due to dwindling resources. Call a spade a spade. Kidnappings became a thing from the ND when the ones who remained became wealthy. Its since multiplied exponentially all over Nigeria. Currently, it's no point hiding that some of the trending kidnapping activities are carried out by fulanis. |
Because its a crime to upload images of gore or extreme violence that may cause distress. Even sharing can lead to arrests or prosecution. I've asked a million times on here why they upload images like that here. |
It's time to call it what it is. Nigeria has a massive organised crime problem. These groups have existed informally until now where they have become present in every strata of society not excluding abroad where they also kill EACH OTHER. Time to outlaw even those registered with the CAC and issue criminal proclamation against those belonging to such groups. |
Country burning but some of you be carrying BB matters for head. Same would then come to beg us that have sense for handouts abi. Kontinu... |
Oluomo would be your minister of transport. |
Lucky for him but what about his preaching berating other religions. I hope RCCG calls him to order. |
Netanyahu1:Ilesha is known for its gold deposits. Otherwise, damn... Nigeria got a lot of problems. |
AroleOduduwa2:I'd always wagered Nigerian education is not up to scratch if you still managed to fail to read between the lines. The police have responded and they didn't deny sending armed officers right? |
From the tone of response here, you'll realise how backward Nigeria is. Inviting or serving papers but with a busload of armed personel and a rather obtuse letter is the height of tyranny. In the case of the pastor, It isn't like this was the first scandal he's gotten implicated in. There's no smoke without fire. The tone of the letter looks condescending and its a shock that it was written from one of the highest police offices in the country. |
The replies are representing of the quality of education most Nigerians received. Trump's grandfather was also a migrant but because he's 'white' he thinks he's bona-fide and indigenous to America. Shocking short-sightedness from responses here. |
bidexiii:Maybe nemesis8u or experienced person can chip in on use of counter battery even if in a fluid battlefield. |
I remember the first Ara prototypes made with feedback from some guys here on improvements which was picked up rather quickly by Proforce and modified. Over time, with other battlefield lessons, we have this. I hope the army can learn from this and not rest on improving aspects of their vehicles regularly as Proforce. Criticism don't always mean hate. |
Northern governments should be innovative in combating their ecological issues ala desertification, Lake Chad basin, etc. The Federal government is unfortunately trying to pass the buck to other states. In effect, trying to force fulani settlements via federal might and resources. |
Very impressed with pics released over the last couple of days. That Proforce apc looks incredible! I hope we could add a swing arm gunner to the other front passenger side of the SF vehicle for extra firepower... I think the way the hardwares are built are from lessons learnt on the battlefield. |
A lot of things has to be taken into context. You can't extrapolate data and impose same concepts practiced elsewhere. Nigeria is already a relatively compact fit for a population of 200 million. We need not just RUGA but also population control as pop. increases would mean more land for people to live in. Nomadic lifestyle should get with the trend and start modernising. I think the government should have started research on ranching many moons ago. I am trying to find a comprehensive report of a team on Nigerian ranches and what lessons were learnt. |
Quite good... I like the designs of the vehicles produced. bidexiii: |
Henry240:This I like, possibly the most underrated thing the armed forces should have been doing eons back. Examples, fingerprints from weapons seized in Zamfara, weapon caches discovered or unexploded ieds could be retrieved and stored on databases for future cross matching. |
Wow...he should be hauled to prison right away and investigations should commence on how he was able to haul such massive stockpiles into the country! We have enough insecurity! and to find out a former state governor has an armoury!! |
Tinubu is a candidate only fit for charlatans and criminals. Go create your own pseudo Republic and make him your ruler. |
The army is doing 'just enough' and could probably hold them at bay for years in a war of attrition. What we should be worried about is the contentment of the army to continue absorbing attacks like sponges, lose soldiers and especially officers with years of experience and then an obligatory counter attack? Blame the army leadership who haven't provided necessary training nor instructions. You end up with this unending scenario. |
Sack him. I've just lost under a million worth to someone who had previously done such things in the past which I forgave. There are honest people out there who will not steal though quite rare. DO NOT also employ family and friends. Much worse. |
There needs to be an underlying legislation guiding this action, otherwise... I hope they will also crack down on posting of macabre, graphic images. Seun should be sanctioned if they continue to post mangled bodies, gory images, etc |
Fundamentalists would attack everyone including their own kind if they don't adhere to their extreme narratives. Why's this even a question? |
Probably cost of land in Ghana might be cheaper. Let's reserve judgement until completion. I believe the Kenyan one was also dogged by cost overruns multiple times. |
Says one eating crumbs from his table... Criminal despot, grand looter. |
