Esseite:Don't lie. You failed economics while at secondary school? |
I always thought the NA could learn from the other insurgencies, like eg Syria. The video of the frontline shows little progress albeit not enough. Our soldiers did have protective gears, few MRAPs but with limited airpower, limited intelligence and 'logistic problems'. Please go read https://peccaviconsulting./2020/02/13/boko-haram-iswaps-christmas-2019-offensive/where with the current defensive 'Super Camp' strategy, the nature of attacks mostly faced by the army when on patrol are ambushes. Apart from equipment, the whole strategy is faulty where the army hierarchy is content with laying back and absorbing attacks while going on patrols which achieve nothing than engaging enemy forces. Its why the army chiefs should be changed, but what do you expect from Buhari who took 6+ months to select his cabinet. |
That video suddenly made things clearer than we'd have known. I wish I knew what to say. I hope the army's strategies continues to get refined and learning from their experiences to be ahead of the enemy. |
wingmanIII:Correction taken seeing you can input your height and get BMI results. However, its claims of measuring body fat, bone mass and muscle mass is marketing bs. |
I stand to be corrected. It cannot definitely give you accurate BMI. Body fat and other readings can not be read on scales. It's no more than a marketing fad from Xiaomi. |
Litmus:Reverse engineering is more difficult than it sounds. Only few countries (US, China, Russia and ~) have successfully reverse engineered 'high tech'. You need to have lots of advanced industries and research institutes at your disposal for a start. Its better to start production under licence, then learn from that. |
I hope in those movies the army is releasing, they're doing subtle products placement of ARA, ATVs and Ezugwu? A bit of soft power showcasing Nigerian built hardware won't go amiss. |
Pastor that slaps his congregation. Law breaker from birth... Is that one a pastor??! |
kabe1:They should look into a rugged compact monitor with a swivel arm. slimthugchimee2:You're quoting the wrong person still... Criticism is good by the way. If remember correctly, Some suggestions on improvements for version 1 ARA were taken upon from one of the threads here and subsequently improved. . |
slimthugchimee2:Show me where I called it that. I criticised the visibility and blind spots on the first iteration. Are my concerns not justified with the version 2 just released? |
Toju200:Ok, sounds exciting! The progress has been really swift and I think they quickly learnt lessons from trials re visibility and blind spots on Ezugwu Version 1. |
Good progress with indigenous hardware by Nigeria. How far is the scope of their current projects? Are they venturing into say developing vehicle mounted systems and such? |
jln115:Lol. Please they can buy muzzle flash and sound pack special effects relatively cheaply. There's budget YouTube channels like Film Riot showing how easy and accessible this is. |
How can you have peace of mind investing in an economy where a governor openly seen collecting bribes, gets a so called anti corruption President holding up his hand, win re-election fraudulently and sacks a traditional ruler because of 'disrespect'?! The courts are also mere caricatures... That's why most lawsuits against the country are being conducted in foreign countries. |
Potential foreign investors that'd see this continuing to happen would shun Nigeria in the future as they cannot be assured of the government's integrity. P&ID, this and others reported are just the ones we know reported. Corruption and lack of protocol when awarding this contracts should mean those responsible should be in jail! |
No. This actually emanates from a time they were having a row on social. Fury taunted Joshua and stated he's more Nigerian than him. Then promised to fly the Nigerian flag when he'd be fighting.
|
Quite possibly the story of Lagos state mass transit might have been different if the ruling party hasn't been siphoning funds for the Lagos metro rail with very little to show for it. Boat patronage as mass transit is low in most countries (exception of Australia, Hong Kong). Also there's very little infrastructure on ground to even support it. By the way, let them open up the BRT monopoly given to the nephew of the self styled Lagos ruler. He clearly hasn't got the capacity! |
Nigeria needs more innovation, industries and massive human capital development! Isn't minimum wage #30000? |
I know I'd criticised the Armed Forces in the past, but their current efforts at producing in house solutions is incredible. More grease to their elbows. Very impressed. |
Dummy. The message flew over his head. This is a military regime now and no longer a democratically elected government. |
I hope one day you will not wake up to see someone has helped himself to the many millions you probably worked your entire life for. |
masseratti:This is a very apt response. Gej was massively supported into power against vested interests until the wheels came lose, especially in the areas of LOOTING and security. I think SR may also be complicit in their reportings sometimes where if you can dig posts and read between the line, you'll find they were mischievous in reportings about someone very close to the top of government (family friend). Buhari was thought to be the better of the an unelectable pair only to recycle himself as a REPRESSIVE leader who takes to literally oppressing us. If they like, let GESTAPO-DSS ala Stasi police come after me too. No shakings. |
I don't care if Buhari builds a bridge to heaven. For me, he is a Despotic TYRANT who as I predicted many years ago was only fit to be EFCC chairman. Making him president has got to rank as one of Nigeria's terrible mistake. |
kabe1:Oga. Irrespective, abeg stop posting them if they're willing to be used as the repressive arm of an oppressive government. These guys are acting like a Stasi Police unit. They're above the law, can abduct you without explanation and disobey court rules. |
kabe1:Please post professionals, not this Gestapo unit. |
I'll advise Nigerians, this is the time to get rid of these power drunk bastardos from power. Next election, please! Kick these cunts out. As for DSS, I'll soon pray an inquiry would jail those responsible for abusing their powers!! |
REPRESSIVE |
Excessive! #200000, sure! #1 million would only mean corrupt officials would settle up for less. You'll never see anyone get fined at the end |
BeachTime:This! I'd sort of come to similar conclusion albeit with lower projections as we have availability of cheap labour. The biggest cost remains the technology to build such infrastructure. I'm yet to see any sort of progressive mindset or brilliance from the Presidents we've had so far in accomplishing a 3rd of this goal. The longer it'll take to achieve these goals the more expensive it becomes!! |
Assuming this story was true, the sad thing is America would now confiscate money meant for Niger Delta youths training as its viewed as proceeds of crime. |
philip0906:If El Chapo was Nigerian and arrested, they'll still claim witch hunt. Alakija would not be able to claim billions if she'd been American, so also the other billionaires like Gowon, etc. The fact that they thrive here means nothing once they start replicating questionable deals with western entities. |
I'm only here to say that we otherwise have a very narrow view of law and regulations in Nigeria. Developed economies are built on laws and regulations. Forget witch hunt, if they find questionable deals, they won't sweep them under the carpet. Many billionaires have been hauled to inquiry, police stations et al. Dangote is the richest African and Nigerian but never been probed regarding grey practices might have done in the past. Otedola was once a subject of probe until it lost steam. Gates, Zuckerberg, Mike etc have seen scrutiny. Bernie Mardoff, Stanford and other billionaires are in prison. If they were Nigerians, they'll be free as a kite. |
