maybe the incentives of marriage have changed over time.

It used to be for love and companionship

Now it is for economic and social security

Women used to cover their bodies, now young girls of 16 trade sx* for money,

It used to be on the basis of the content of character,

Now it is the money, houses and cars that matter.

It used to be that men are home leaders

Now, women compete with husbands in becoming dictators and rulers

We used to have culture as Aficans,

But now its the white mans' idea that makes it okay for women to nag (all the time)

I'm trying to figure out where we got it wrong,

Perhaps its high time we all turned to God.

He alone IS THE best disposer of our affairs.

Ladies try to make it look like they are the only ones searching for suitors.
I tell you this fact- men are also desperately searching! We have ticking clocks too! I mean-what man wants to have his first kid at age 40? NONE!

Men of today are shyer than those of the past. A man can see a lady he likes, and yet, keep quiet about it. The social media is the wall behind which todays men shelter.

A responsible man wants to be economically capable of managing his family, no body wants to be an underdog. Nigeria job and opportunities today makes this slower and more perilious for a man before 30. Not that we like it- we also know life is short,

Some ladies make men RUN because of their demands, and expectations.

Tribal and ethnic barriers are still issues that limit the choices of a probable suitor within a small compass

Let women stop acting. Be real! Is there anything about any religion that says a woman cannot make the first move to a guy she knows to be mature, God fearing, and disciplined? I really think its an African mentallity.

Stevie wonder was a very rich man, he had a child he couldn't see because he was blind, he offered all his wealth to any doctor that could make him see! I know you wouldn't sell your eyes even for a planet filled with gold and diamond right?

Be happy! Wealth is not a measure of how much you have, but how much you can give. Believe me, that coins you put on the beggars plate just made you a very rich person. I see no reason why you shold be less esteemed than the most notable wealthy man


Don't give up! Because the devil wishes to frighten us! But we are soldiers! The italians say- virtue shall take up arms against fury, and the battle shall be very brief! Take the fields against whatever worries you, and believe in GOD, your victory is near at hand. And YES! It is very certain!

You know, there is something called middle child syndrome effect in psychology.
I suffered great moments of loneliness and depression, I would even go as far as putting my bb pin every where and on every blog just to see if there would be someone to talk to. I'm the quiet type of guy, so chasing girls is not my thing. I realise girls like the loud and out going type of guys. I became sequestered from all social activities in school, sometimes, I wished I wasn't born in the first place. I read a lot of books, browsed all the time, developed my writing skills, I write poems about my troubles whenever I'm so bothered. I read the prince by machiavelli, I read an islamic book titled Don't BE SAD. But you know what, I realised happiness comes from putting joy in the next mans face. I play with babies, I run (sports), I can say so far, I'm very appreciative to God for all HE has done for me. I visit hospitals, I see very ill people, then I appreciate life again, I try hard to fight my depression, I see its easier to battle with loneliness than cancer for example. If I was blind for instance, I wouldn't be reading this, no matter how hard it is, please just try to keep your head up. I lost a Facebook friend to suicide, and guess what, we became friends the day I wrote an article on suicide on bbc. Never knew he nutured siucidal fantasies. I don't wanna make a screed outta this write up, but just remember always that: there is no need to fear tommorrow. Live like all you have is today, be happy! gd day every one. im an electrical student in uniben. im often beaten when i see students who have the knowledge of electrical design. they dominate every where we go. im interested in learning, i was referred 2 a book- 306 circuits. all efforts 2 lay my hands on that book has proved abortive. who knows of a place where i can go 2 get updated preactically? ill appreciate it. 10x
