Food › Re: What Food Do You Hate? by blank(f): 3:40pm On Aug 08, 2011
I don't like soup not cooked with red oil then stew is used to mix it, eba, stew made with red oil, ponmo, nkwobi, ewa agoyin, eko, chinese yam (this one i hate with a passion and would rather starve).

All other foods, i eat with great relish. grin grin
Food › Re: Pls Whats The Difference Between "nkwobi" And "isiewu" by blank(f): 3:21pm On Aug 08, 2011
the taste should not really be the same but i guess the main spice which is potash is present in both.

The difference is the type of meat. Nkwobi is tendon, joints, cow's feet while Isiewu is goat head with the brain used to make the paste. The price for the two can never be the same per plate.

Culture › Re: Who Foots The Bill Of Traditional Wedding In Igbo Culture. by blank(f): 11:19am On Aug 08, 2011
For my one traditional, my dad footed all the bills but asked my husband to bring a token. The brideprice as contained in the constitution was 60naira which is what my dad took. My in-laws could not believe that there was no list so they bought drinks and tubers of yam and a he goat but my dad reurned all.

My sister married a yoruba guy and they didnt even bring that token. They were 60 of them that came and my dad paid for hotel rooms for all of them with more than enough food and gifts.

I think that if you have a nice family that you are marrying into, they won't hassle you at all.
Crime › Re: Jungle Justice Is It Justifiable? by blank(f): 11:11am On Aug 08, 2011
I remember watching on Channels TV, an 8 year old boy being burnt to death cos they said he was a kidnapper. He kept saying that the small boy ran to him not the other way round. They beat this boy until they broke his head and set him on fire. They didn't show the boy burning but the showed when they set him on fire. This young boy was running and someone pushed him down.

That was the day i said poverty na bastar.d. If he was a well dressed young boy, no one would have done such. Even just remembering it brings tears to my eyes. I don't care what anyone could have done but they do not deserve that kind of death. I wanted to hold that young boy and comfort him. Kai! Poverty na bad thing. I can not and will not be poor.

I pray she marries him in court and in Church so that they both can stay 7 years in jail.

There is only one Nigerian case of Bigamy. Please, let them make it two so that law students can quote their case.

@ Harakiri, so everyone is narrow minded if they do not see the things from your point of view?

I believe there is a mid point. There are women (and men) that behave the way Harakiri describes and a lot more who do not.

If you leave me and money, i will cut out ALL expenses while we save every penny for the rainy day (which never comes). That is why i do not bother my head with money matters. My husband has access to my account so he distributes our money as he likes and tells me what is left and what it is for. Suits me just fine.
Properties › Re: The Business And Profitability Of Rental Properties by blank(f): 9:10am On Aug 08, 2011
Also, let us consider how the Lagos Rent law (whatever it is called), will affect landlords as well as tenants vis a vis the profitability of rental properties.
Properties › Re: The Business And Profitability Of Rental Properties by blank(f): 9:05am On Aug 08, 2011
Sometimes, landlords can be really terrible people and use very very substandard products but with beautiful packaging. Where we are staying now, the handles on every single door except the front door came off within 2 weeks, the kitchen cabinets that he said were with the carpenter never arrived up till now, the wardrobes in the room were bringing out wood thingies (termites) and their doors all came off within a month. I could go on and on.

The point i was trying to bring out was that when we want to move out, should we leave the house with all those things the way they are or should we fix them meaning getting new ones? Who should bear that cost?

I think its off topic but i wanted to know.

We know what each other earn and we are both signatories to each others account right from when we were dating but i am too lazy to worry about banking transactions. He does all of that and we both use our money as we decide. Can't remember doing my money or your money. Everything he buys, he buys in my name so i can't really be bothered with keeping my money for myself. Let him worry about money while i worry my pretty head about more important things like what to wear. lol.

Oga Siena dey vex o.

Siena:
And who says celebrities have to be role models? Being a celebrity does not automatically make one a role model. You're coming across as a cretin. My role models were my parents and immediate family, don't you have parents and family members you can look up to?

You want to "save the actresses", and find a solution to their "problems." Did they ask you to help solve their issues? Indeed, did they state to you they weren't happy with their lot?

Nobody who wasnt in FPL last season got FA Cup code.

Only the top 28 received the code.

You were not in the top 28. Deal with it! grin

The clearly defined criteria for your exclusion is that you were a whipping boy in the league last year! As Dayokanu told you, the parable of the talents would explain your current predicament. You better knuckle down and perform this season to qualify next season. We dont do "man know man" or "Federal Character" in FPL. Everything is on merit! tongue
My conscience has been pricking me. I was not in last year's league but i got FA Cup code this year. @Dududpace was right. If you like, i can delete myself and then you send me the Carling Cup codes, i don't mind at all.

Properties › Re: The Business And Profitability Of Rental Properties by blank(f): 9:50am On Aug 05, 2011
I just want to sound a note of warning. Please, invest in an area in which you have a working knowledge of the place. I can not invest in Kaduna for instance cos i have absolutely no knowledge of the place and i can't just base my decision on my friends that are telling me to go there.

Let us use Enugu as a case study. I also schooled in Enugu and still have family there and there is a large and very serious demand for student accommodation. I will not invest in student hostels cos of the complications that students bring. There was a time that robbers were targetting student hostels especially the ones for high net worth students (including raping incidences). Also, most cult related activities happened in off campus accommodation not even in school. I can go on and on but suffice it to say that students have issues. Maybe later in the future but not now.

Be wise in your dealings. Never invest in something you do not have a knowledge of. E.g opening a hair salon when you do not know how to do hair thinking u will employ people. They will cheat you and u will fail unless you are willing to learn the business.

My 3.2kobo (based on the exchange rate) grin
