My Dear, are u married? I asked this question because befor I got married I used to bug myself with all sorts of medication just to add weight. I was smaller than a UK size 8 and my mum used to tell me then that am disturbing myself for nothing because weight will surely come when am married and relaxed. It got to a point that I never felt comfortable when people around discuss hiv cos I used to have this feeling they are discussing me even when I knew my status was negative but because of my size, I felt uneasy when such topics were being discussed in my university days. I took all sorts like wate on,glnd protein and other stuff, and so many other foreign drinks that I can't even remember their names but none helped. But a year after graduation, my weight moved from 40kg to 48 and when I got married 2yrs later 52 and today even before getting pregnant I was weighing 73kg and now my major problem is how to reduce my weight. So I'll advice u relax cos age comes with weight and its also genetic as well. Check the sizes of your close relatives if they added weight with age, becos some of these drugs have after effects that you might not know and see now. U can try the heavy calorie fruits but won't advise u to take drugs because u'll be tired of weight when especially in your 30s. |

Lots and lots of clinics have been mentioned on this thread. I personally would recommend Georges Memorial Clinic with Dr Emeka 08032011536. A lot of women on this thread will also agree with me. Bridge is very good but have serious issues with customer relations as they tend to focus more on their companies policies rather than the patient itself. You should be ready to spend close to 900k for the procedure. Its still God that gives as ivf is not automatic, it only increases your chances of conceiving. I wish you all the best and lots of baby dust. |
NEGOZI: Hello ladies in the house,I say a big AMEN to that. I wish you the best of luck in your IVF cruise. It is settled, you shall carry yours in 2013 by the grace of God. baby dust to you all. |
Hoti Baby, I like your boldness sha. I remembered last year or so you advertised your eggs for those who want donor eggs for one outragious amount and I teased you over considering surrogacy since no clinic will pay up to 200k for donor eggs and you replied that your boyfriend will not agree and moreover you don't want your body to sag. So why the change of mind? Its good sha to want to help waiting mothers but this your conditions carry weight o! Anyway, are u married or have u had a child before? I hope you know what you're going into if u've never had a child before. Kudos, and more grease to your elbows. |
Our God is good at all times. Allycat who has been encouraging and advising us not to give up just had a set of twin boys. Truly God is wonderful. He who has started this blessing of waiting mothers will be faithful to complete it. Baby dust to you all. Catch the blessing cos its really going round irrespective of what ur doctors diagnosed as the cause of infertility. |
You don't have any stress if it's Emeka u're using. You will definitely get the best for your money cos he has time for every patient. Lots and lots of baby dust. |
Udoka and Precious thanks a lot o. God has been very good and its been smooth sail all along since I got my BFP. We're almost crossing 12weeks and my clothes hardly fit. Heart beat 2 weeks ago was fantastic and I can't wait for another 4-8 wks to check their sex. My ernest prayer is for a boy and a girl but who am I to complain it it turns out otherwise. God is truely awesome and I thank all of u for putting me in ur prayers. Osiyemia has put to bed a bouncing baby girl last wednesday. Dancing mood activated!!! |
Congratulations for taking the bold step to even consider ivf. God will see u through this and you shall come out rejoicing IJN. This year has been a year of blessing for aLl of urs and urs will not elude u. Osiyemia, my nairaland friend whom we started this thread together last year has given birth to a baby girl last wednesday. Is God not wonderful? He will do urs too IJN |
Please go to a hospital for check up. Aside from stress, its possiible u're not ovulating as in releasing eggs every month regularly or u have pcos. If u're married, u might be placed on ovulation drugs. It is actually a minor problem amongst all infertility issues beacause its curable. Visit a good gynacologist for proper investigation and treatment. |
Topal congratulations!!! Waoooo, this is good news. First attempt? Our God is truly awesome. God who started this will be faithful to complete it IJN. Psalm23 and Double, good to know u've started your stimming. This one must be positive by God's grace cos this is the season of good news. God has been faithful to waiting mummies this year and urs will not be different IJN. Wishing you lots of baby dust. @ Double-blessing, my doc placed me on metformin, aspirin and pregnant care alongside the stimming drugs. I was constantly monitored. Can't really tell if that helped in prevention of hyperstimulation cos I actually went as high as 5amples of fsh per day and produced just 11follicles while in my last ivf with bridge was just 3 ampoules and I was admitted for hyperstimulation cos I wasn't monitored at all till day 10 which was already too late for me. So insist on frequent scans and rest a lot when u have the opportunity. Wish u all the best. |
I come from a family of 3 girls and I'll still prefer to have girls cos its mostly girls who take care of the home and remembers their parents when married. I remind my hubby to call his parents and buy them gifts when we travel. I've done lots of research on this and found out most guys don't really bother that much about their family after marriage. So even if God gives me 2 girls first, I'll be eternally grateful. |
Omogemi congrats o! I remembered when u were asking me the best place to go for ivf. Waoooo, thank God for u and I believe more testimonies are coming from all our waiting mothers this year IJN. Congrats, am happy for u. |
Thanks and thanks and may God bless u all. Really don't know what I would have done without all of u. You've really been encouraging and I must say I'm grateful. When I started this thread, is there any solution for blocked tubes with the profile name Rust 2000, I actually tot I was alone when no one replied immediately and so I had to keep hoping that someone will come up and tell me what magic they performed that gave them their bfp. I actually did give up after a while and became really depressed. I learnt about flushing too from this thread and am grateful to u all Honestly I don't know how I was able to scale thru a 5th negative ivf and summoned courage to go for a 6th one 3 months after. I thank God sha. Am still amazed at all of these good testomonies God has given me and I pray that all still waiting will one day share ur testimony as well. Don't give up. Try everythg triable if u can afford it and pray earnestly too for God to instill the spirit of patience and understanding in our husbands. For my sisters trying ivf, pls be positive, follow Dr Emeka's instruction and u will come out rejoicing. Impatience might av contributed to my ordeal of running from one clinic to the other after a negative result but in all I learnt one very good lesson, its God that gives not the Drs and Clinics. They can only try. I keep shedding tears each time I look at my twin scan. God is really wonderful o! |
You guys should help me and thank God o! God has been good and faithful in all my travails. The scan showed 2 embryos implanted. We're having twins! Please someone should tell me am not dreaming. Been celebrating in tears since I returned from the clinic today. God has been wonderful after all these 6yrs of hopelessness, 6 ivf, 3 HSG, one of which I got an infection leading to blocked tubes. I thank all of u for putting me in ur prayers. God bless you all and remember all our waiting mothers soon! |

The poster won't be needing the flushing of tube stuff anymore cos God has already answered her prayers. Thanks a lot Osakam and all my other TTC mothers, God who did mine will answer all our remaining waiting mothers. Depressed and fustrated were the least used to describe my case then. But I thank God for everything. |
Thanks Babes, I need those prayers badly o! And I really believe God for multiples to compensate me for these 6yrs. Even if its one, I'll be eternally grateful to Him. The scan is just few days away. ipio: @Blendy77, waoh.... God is indeed a miracle worker, God bless & keep u & d babies, am wishing u triplets, u will always be in my prayers. |
Thank you all for all the advice and prayers. God has been gracious. I did a 5th IVF January this year at Bridge. It was negative after I was maltreated, hyper stimulated and admitted for a while due to my protruding tummy as a result of their carelessness. I was just too sad so didn't bother to share my ordeal. Anyways, I went back for a 6th cycle after my hubby encouraged me to return to George's. To the glory of God, our prayers of 6years, blocked tubes and drinking of different concoctions, surrendering my body for different procedures has come to an end. Thanks for all ur advice and encouragement. Will be going for 8weeks scan in less than a week to see how many implanted. I need all ur prayers now than ever before and above all, I pray our God will answer all our remaining TTC sisters soon. Don't give up. |
@Pizzashaw, Babe ur story moved me to tears. What women really go through just be called mum and please our society. Sorry about ur husband, it's really sad to hear such wicked men still exist on the surface of this earth. God will crown all ur effort with success. Those of us who still have our husbands supporting us and going all the way with us don't really know what God has done for us. It's such a shame that with so many avenues, ways and techniques of making babies, a man who exchanged vows on God's altar will indulge in adultery and run away with another woman and expect all to go well with him thereafter abi? God is not mocked and the bible clearly states that we will reap whatever we sow. My sister take heart. God knows how to compensate ur kind of people. Take heart. I've sent u my email address, let's talk. It is well. For the rest of the house, help me and thank Baba God for answering my prayers through my 6th IVF. It's been six years of one clinic, one IVF to the other. My husband has been wonderful and even offered to pay for this last procedure when i lost hope and said I wasn't gonna spend my salary on IVF again. To the glory of God, he heard our prayers on this last try. Don't give up, keep trying and keep praying. God surely hears prayers and will grant the heart desires of each and every one of us. |

. pizzashaw: Quote Post @Blendy77,is it okay if i have you email? Of course My email add is ruonar2000@yahoo.com. didon: hello blendy thank you so much for your information on gerges memorial hospital, i have never done ivf before and i have been TTC for the past 11 yrs, speaking with dr emeka has been so reassuring, keeping in mind that God is at work, i will be meeting with him soon.thanks again blendy77 i joined this group because of you bless uMy sister, it is well. 11 years is such a long time but then we thank God for life. I'm happy you're considering ivf, its not automatic but so many people have gotten pregnant with first trial. I pray urs will not be different. I've done 6 ivf procedures in all before God answered me; 2 at Omni medical Center(2008), 2 with Georges(2009 and 2010) 1 with Bridge (jan 2012) the last one in Georges again where God answered us (may 2012). I've also been married for over six years and i can tell you it wasnt funny at all. But we thank God. The God who did mine for me through Dr Emeka will do yours too in Jesus name. You can ask him about me and my wails each time I visit the clinic. Depression was too mild to describe my case and maybe that is why I keep running from clinic to clinic and had to return to George's again after the way I was treated at bridge. Will share my testimony soon on my post, "is there any solution for blocked tubes?" I pray everyone who desires to carry their children will be granted their heart desires in Jesus name! |
This ur story be as e get. What were u looking for in your friends private part? Please tell her to go see a Dr before she destroys her life. It could be an infection, boils due to general hygiene or maybe ordinary bumps as a result of shaving. Tell her to see a Dr as soon as possible to check them out.. |
@ Nnaaghogho Drinking any concoction with your pregnancy is not only putting your baby at risk but also your life as well. If there is a concoction that can melt fibroid away while you're pregnant what makes you think that same concoction will spare your unborn child? Are both not in the same womb? I'm begging you as a sister not to mind a greedy fellow who is trying to sell his product. Anythg that can can destroy fibroid while u're already pregnant will also destroy your child trust me. Drs will always tell u to remove ur fibroid before attempting pregnancy but since u're already pregnant I'll advise u to go to a good clinic and register for ante nantal and listen to whatever the gynacologist tells u. I've had friends and colleagues who were able to have their babies with big fibroids in their womb. I also have some who lost theirs so depending on the locaton ur Dr will be able to advise u better. I'm one of those trusting God for children so will not advise u to destroy the one God had blessed you with. Don't abort, wait till the end and see a good gynacologist for advise. |
Someone once said in my university days that; "if u see a woman giving birth to a baby during the day, know that the husband always come home during lunch". Don't know how true this is but to some extent I think its because the act is being done at Night. Secondly, it could also be because God gives beautiful gifts at night since people who believe in extraordinary miracles tend to wait till mid-night to pray as its believed God answers prayers when everywhere is quiet. Just my thoughts though. |
