HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Blendy77(f): 11:08pm On Sep 26, 2012
That short hand on the fluid count is rather difficult to understand. Don't know if its 1m or 10m but either case its still low and with 80% dead, your guy definitely need some boosting. The truth is that couples whose main reason for fertility is low fluid count might still be lucky to conceive as you need just a single very healthy and active fluid to fertilize an egg if every other parameter is ok with the woman. At least I've seen that happen with so many of my friends and colleagues whose Dr told them to prepare for ivf and they ended up getting pregnant on their own.
I don't know how many of us in the house has heard about ManiX? It works like magic for men when taken with milk. At least it boosted my hubby's count from 10m to 80m within a month even when he wasn't taking it regularly due to the rigor of mixing milk every morning. So Babe discuss with your Doc and also mention Manix to him if you haven't tried it before. He might just recommend it for you. I know some Drs also use clomid on men but that one needs prescription cos it has to be monitored. Success Dear!
HealthRe: Health Section Guidelines And Complaints Thread- by Blendy77(f): 2:59pm On Sep 26, 2012
Mod I can't understand why my post was hidden in the IVF section. I know I mentioned the name of an antibiotics and multivitamins but then worse prescription drugs have been mentioned on the same thread and the ttc section and those posts were not hidden so pleas unhide my post because a lot of people on ivf road map might learn one or two things from there. On that post I was even asking someone to mention the name and price of the government clinic she's using so others who cant afford expensive private ivf clinic can go there. pls unhide my post because as a moderator its easier to edit people's post and remove rude or unwanted words like drugs rather than hidding the entire post we spend one hour to type with phones and ipads (its not easy). You know how it is na, abeg unhide my posts o! cool

Topal thank God for you o! The devil is a liar as our joy shall not be cut short IJN amen. Kpele Inlaw.

Believers, better be kissing that baby every morning you wake up for a job well done. Tell him/her how much you love him/her so she should just continue to behave and also be thanking God for plenty enjoyment now cos when they start......... I reserve my comment. Congrats for a hitch free preggy.
HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by Blendy77(f): 2:33pm On Sep 26, 2012
Teeboitizzy na wa for you o! You want to abort a pregnancy that is already formed? Have you ever thought of paying with your life at the end of it all? Why did you allow it to enter in the first place? My sister, a 12weeks pregnancy already has hands, legs and all the features of full baby so if you abort it, you're doing yourself a great disservice. take a look at what you want to kill and live the rest of your life in guilt. That is if you survive it!
A word is enough for the wise. Go to the TTC thread and see the number of women praying for this and you want to commit murder to your own flesh and blood! God will help you to do the right thing.

HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Blendy77(f): 2:24pm On Sep 26, 2012
Greenfruits, I don't know how your Dr prescribed the clomid you're taking but studies have somehow shown that clomid taken a previous month can still make you ovulate the next month without you taking anything apart from multivitamins. Its retained in the blood. So if you take clomid 150mg in September(which I think is on the high side), avoid taking it in October. If it made you ovulate in September, go for ovulation profiling or scan in October, you will find out that you're still ovulating. Clomid is a prescription drug and shouldnt be taken without good monitoring from a professional because studies have shown serious side effects so please try to minimize its intake. You can discuss adding metformin to clomid with your Dr. That way the clomid is reduced to even 50mg for 5 days while the metformin can aid it in inducing ovulation all month round.

Lollipolp you're welcome on board. It is well. PCOS can be managed like I told someone on another thread. Was there any improvement when you were on metformin? Bromocriptine is for high prolactine levels so I can understand your new Dr trying to reduce yours. I think your Doc should also concentrate on inducing ovulation cos your levels seem to be very low. Am also a victim of PCOS and metformin worked for me even though I still got preggy through IVF but at least my ovaries were looking better and normal before I took in. That is because I was on metformin for almost a yr and still on it to reduce pregnancy induced diabetics. The side effect is something else initially but reduces over time so you can also discuss that with your Doc. Baby dusts and sticky vibes to all the mammas in God's waiting room.

Thanks for unbanning me, lol.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f):
Champs, you caught me red handed, been avoiding that se.x part seriously. It didn't work out as prayed but I thank God sincerely for giving what I saw on scan. I don't want to be ungrateful but I'll be if I complain after waiting for 6yrs. So don't worry, january is around the corner, will announce the sex when they pop out (Lol). The sad thing is that I bought 2boxes full of clothes of the sex I believed God will give me but He has shown me yesterday that He is still in CHARGE so my sisters, I can't complain but rather thanK Him for dashing me what I saw. I only have to do my shopping all over again, buying thgs online today since I can't travel this year again but who am I to complain after 6 IVF and 6yrs of marriage and am almost crossing my mid thirties. Abeg make Una help thank BABA GOD!

OviaSouth, I can understand why they did day 3 transfer for u, its probably a small center unlike their Lag center. But they should have found a way of preserving it for u instead of making you go through the stress of stimming again. I ernestly pray this one works out for u o. Pls add pregnacare conception and the metformin I told u about. They don't give in Bridge but your Doc might agree if u discuss it with him. It improves egg quality and reduces OHss to a large extend. There's also this multivitamin they gave my hubby in Georges, selenium (not sure of the spelling) to also improve fluid quality then finally doxycycline for both of us befor the procedure. Bridge doesn't give all that cos they don't believe in it that is why u need to discuss wt ur Doc.

Negozi, I understand clearly why the different days. I wish both of you and MrsM a successful procedure. Pls Negozi can you share the name of the govt hospital and their price just to encourage those considering ivf but can't afford these expensive private clinics.
Baby dusts and God's blessing to all of you. I sincerely pray all of you will conceive before this year run out so all our babies will arrive in 2013 and we will all look back at 2012 and smile that yes, God did it.
FamilyRe: The Dynamics Of Marriage by Blendy77(op):
Shollym we are good by His grace. We are all bouncing as usual and pushing gradually.

@LongOne, the part that really caught my attention is where they wrote that men should understand respect is earned and as such they shouldn't demand it. Our naija men don't know they are our role models and we tend to take them for their actions and not what they preach.
Also a lot for women to learn too, being submissive to the head of the family is an order from God but then, I rest my case.
FamilyThe Dynamics Of Marriage by Blendy77(op): 3:58pm On Sep 25, 2012
My hubby sent this to me and I feel I should share.

The rate at which marriages collapse now is assuming a social symbol status in our society.

In few years time, people will be throwing divorce parties and invite friends and well-wishers to celebrate their divorce anniversaries; they will choose aso-ebi, hire a hall and popular musicians. Even a question like "So when are you getting divorced?" will become commonplace.

If u know u can't handle the weight and pressures of marriage, please remain single.

If u don't know what marriage is all about, please remain single until u do.

If u are getting married because of the things u desire or hope to gain from the other person please remain single.

If u know u can't be faithful, remain single.

If u can't endure insults from one another, pls remain single.

If u can't forgive one another's wrongs, pls remain single.
If u can't place ur spouse above every other human being, pls remain single!

Don't get married out of desperation.

If u desire a successful home, but ur choice of friends are those whose marriages have collapsed. Its simple - they'll make u drink from their poisoned chalice. Once that happens, ur marriage is in a process of dying a slow death. Be very mindful of where you go for advices.

Guys, if u know u can't put ur wife ahead ur ego, pls remain single till u mature. There's no way u can abandon the care of ur family at the expense of your lifestyle. They are your priority and everything else including u comes last. You are the teacher, the guide, the bodyguard, the spiritual leader, the role model - u are not a deity. So don't expect to be worshipped. You need respect, earn it by being responsible.

Ladies, if u know you can't be submissive please don't go into marriage so you're not turned to a punch bag!

If u know u can't stand being corrected, please remain single.

Ladies check ur domestic scorecard - if ur score is zero, please stay in ur parents' house! Ladies and gentlemen, marriage isn't,& won't be a bed of roses understand the dynamics.

HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f):
Different clinics have different proceduce. I wonder why yours is taking so long cos all the processes you mentioned can be achieved in one day except hormonal tests like fsh and ovarian reserve test (cant remember the name now) which works with AF. Your hubby's fluid can also be tested while you are doing yours so I honestly wonder why the long protocol of testing all these things on different days. Your Doc is probably taking his time.
Anyway, the next thing that should follow the test is the busserelin injection which is taken 21days after your last AF, there after you will proceed to the fsh injections after your AF arrives for about 10-12 days, depending on your response rate, collection is done after the lead follicle has reached 20-22mm, fertilization with your hubby's fluid, cultured for 2-5days then transfer.
I hope this helps cos everything I just said here has been mentioned on this forum before so maybe you should read through again to also learn from other people's procedure.
HealthRe: Any Women Suffering From Irregular Periods? by Blendy77(f): 9:32am On Sep 25, 2012
Polycystic Ovaries doesn't mean you have a disease that can't be treated or managed. Infact its one of the easily treated infertility cases women face because drugs used in treating it are not expensive but effective in inducing ovulation. I'll advice you see a good gynacologist. The only disadvantage of treating it now before marriage is the fact its never completely cured except a pregnancy takes place. This is because it goes back to its original stage when the drugs are stopped. You can google PCOS online to get first hand information. PCOS doesnt mean you wil need IVF in the future when your tubes are open. It only means you don't release eggs (ovulate) monthly hence the delay in you monthly flow. Like I said earlier on, please see a Dr.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f): 9:14am On Sep 25, 2012
Relax and hand everything over to God. Don't see it as a do or die affair. Just do your best and leave the rest to God. Am sure they did a day 3 transfer for you because you don't have enough embryos and they didnt want to risk incubating them for 5 days for fear of risking all hence the day 3 transfer with Bridge. I don't know if you have polycystic ovaries, if yes, discuss adding metformin to your protocol with your Dr. Infact Send me an email lets talk. Can't write out all the expos here cos it will be seen as drug prescription. Success my Dear.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f): 2:44pm On Sep 24, 2012
I have always had a day 2 transfer not even day 3 because most of our ivf clinics here in Naija do not have the blast machine/incubator except Bridge. So had only blast transfered when I had my ivf done in Bridge early this year. But even with the blast I still didnt get pregnant so my Dear, its God that gives. How how you doing? Have you started your procedure yet? I wish you all the best, success is your portion IJN amen.

Babes don't worry, keep up with your prayers as usual. You won't hear anything from my end anymore. It was never my intention to distract you all from the good work you're doing hence my initial apology. So no hard feelings, you all should forgive Blendy77 for talking too much o! God is in control and He will see all of us through this difficult times. Baby dusts and sticky vibes to all the millenium mamas in the house. Going for my 20weeks scan today so cant afford to get angry. Hugs to anyone I've offended with my utterances!
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Blendy77(f): 9:06am On Sep 24, 2012
The truth is that I don't need her apology. I've been reading most of her posts and in a nut shell I can describe who this satanist really is. They probably sent you to come and stop the good work God is doing here becos it is disturbing you. Why are u scared of opening a thread on ttc non prayers? Solely because you know nobody will align with u. Don't our Muslim sisters pray for the fruit of the womb? Am so happy that lots of people are getting results through the efficacy of prayers and I pray sincerely that you reconcile your paths with God before it is too late. Because you can't claim to have highest regard for God by insulting His Church, Pastors and followers.
Madam Agiboma, are you scared of continuing this arguement via emails? I don't want us to distract all these beautiful Ladies that is why I suggested that and since you have the common sense which I don't have, I expected you to handle this maturedly. Arlington who started this post has not come to say people should stop praying so I can really admire your courage in thinking people will abide to your wish because you are now an Eckist abi Ogboni or which one again that time? Thank you for exposing yourself.
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Blendy77(f): 9:11pm On Sep 23, 2012
Madam Agiboma, in as much as I wodn't want to derail this thread from its original purpose, I sincerely think you need to understand one or two things here. I definitely wodn't have replied you if you had stated explicitely that you are not a christian and as such those who are advising others to pray should stop doing so becos of u. Rather you generalized ur statement as if some other people asked you to speak on their behalf. Which from what I can see here is not the case.
Secondly, calling on the name of God in time of need is not calling the name of God in vain if that is what your new religion teaches you. Am very sure u're aware that churches did not shut down because Agiboma left christianity so let's leave that for another day.
Another thing you shod note is the fact that since u're already pregnant without the hand of God and prayers, you should gladly exit this forum and start another one on ttc non christians as I earlier advised because we won't stop praying becos Agiboma says so. Am already pregnant as u have read so won't stop praying becos it disturbs somebody who feels christianity is not worth it.
Babe I still have more things to tell u but really don't want to derail this thread so let's talk via email and leave these Sisters in God's waiting room to continue in what they believe in PRAYERS. My email address is ruonar2000@yahoo.com. Come and convince me via email why I shod stop praying becos of ur believe

no harm meant o, was just curious. wod certainly not have asked if I'd seen her response in previous thread. madam no vex.
my babies are good, grown almost 2wks bigger than their gestational age on scan and probably wod have been confused on when they entered if not for ivf records. have a big bump now and added almost 10kg as we are almost 20wks gone. i need that boy/girl prayers seriously. 2moro is my birthday and am really grateful to God for this year. He truly has settled me and I pray he reaches out to all our waiting mums in the house b4 the year runs out. you're all in my prayers.
for all those i havent replied concerning Dr Smith, pls send a reminder as I tot i replied everybody till i started receiving sms and other emails. fatigue and memory loss seem to be part of the total package. anybody av offended on this thread with my post pls and pls forgive 3 of us o!
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Blendy77(f): 1:39pm On Sep 19, 2012
I really don't enjoy attacking people and their personality or religion but agiboma's spelling of God in most of her post attracted my attention and I've been wondering if its responsible for her recent call to create another section called ttc prayers. Babe could you be fighting for yourself due to your religious inclinations? If that is the case then maybe you can start a thread on ttc for non christians. cos like someone rightly said, everyone acknowledges that Children are from God cos even Drs tell u to go and pray when your case is beyond them. please if you're a true Christian like you said, help us and edit the your spelling of God as no true Christian will belittle their God that way.

I think she's just seeking attention so we just have to find a way to stop giving her what she's looking for. If the MOd has hidden her post, good. Am sure if she is actually a human being and a woman, she will leave us alone except she's actually the computer virus I initially suspected invaded our forum.

Hello Beautiful Ladies in the house. How was your weekend? I got this good news last night and really can't wait to share it with all of you. There is this gynae I was introduced to by my Colleague after my first IVF this year failed but impatience coupled with the fact that my HSG wasnt ok, I just didnt see the need to waste my time there. Moreover its way off my route but the truth is this gynae helped another colleague of mine after she has received treatments abroad over her infertility and still couldnt get pregnant. But within a month of seeing this guy, She got pregnant here in Naija and has given birth to a baby boy.
Just yesterday, a friend of mine whom I introduced to this same gynae called me late in the night that she tested positive for the first time within one month of seeing this guy cos am aware she saw him first the week before Salah hols. The funny thing about this guy is that he doesnt give drugs except when absolutely necessary but he monitors ovulation to pinpoint your ovulation days and also flushes when he feels necessary. For those of us that have already heard about him, his name is Dr Smith. If you need his address please send me an email ruonar2000@yahoo.com as I understand we are not supposed to advertise clinics here. I wont write this here if I'm not sure of what am talking about. just give him a try if your case has not gotten to IVF levels, it is not a marketing strategy pls, I only want to help. For those who has been following me, you'll notice that I only started talking about Dr Emeka due to results and am bringing this one here too due to results for those who can't afford ivf.
Note that this guy doesnt do IVF and registration and consultation is just 5-10k. So if your tubes are ok and and you need an experienced hand in your case pls let me know.

my clinic gives baby aspirin right from the beginning of the procedure as in, alongside busserelin and fsh drugs and you're asked to use it up to 12-16weeks. it helps with blood circulation as its know for blood thinning. I know a lot of women who did theirs in Bridge and werent given aspirin as part of the drugs and they still carried their preg to full term so my sister can't say for sure if it prevents miscarriage.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f): 10:34pm On Sep 14, 2012
you're very correct champs. i actually forgot to mention that govt hospitals are the cheapest. national hospital in abj gave me a quotation of 250k without drugs then but for a private hospital to charge 400k, its quite reasonable going by the ivf market rate in naija.
HealthRe: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Blendy77(f): 8:54pm On Sep 14, 2012
Rocksqueen u're everly welcomed to join us. I've read some of your posts on the ttc thread and I must say u're doing a good job.

Abibyy, not all ivf center charge the same price. The average Nigerian ivf center charges roughly 1m and above so if this believers clinic charges 400k, I must say its very cheap because on the average you can't spend more than 100-150k on drugs if you're a good responder. So spending 550k for drugs and procedure is very cheap. but then you need to confirm their success rate and procedure. omni is one ivf center that is very cheap but with very low success rate as all their equipments and procedure seem to be archaic so wont advice anyone to go there cos what's the use of wasting 200k on a procedure that you know wont work? So do your homework well by asking questions from other successful patients.

Believer congrats once more for sharing this information. God bless you real good. is this clinic the same as the ivf clinic 7colours has been advertising donor eggs and sper.m and cheap ivf promo? The location you described seem close.
baby dust and sticky vibes to all!

Havent heard of this clinic before. Congrats Dear, at least those who cant afford IVF can give IUI a try. N162k is reasonable. was it your first attempt? and you wrote N400 for the procedure itself. Was is N40,000 you wanted to write? Congrats my sister. God will perfect that which concerns you.

Venus Baby, we've moved on Since the anti-spam is now working, please allow the virus to sleep. See all the good things God is already doing in our midst, positive result with IUI and so many other pregnancies this year, what other testimony do we want again except to agree with the word of God which says none shall be barren. God has proved Himself that ALL are meant to have their own as they desire so Babes let's move on and celebrate our babies in advance.
