FamilyRe: Advice Needed: On The Verge Of Hitting My Mum by Blonchilli(m): 1:04pm On Nov 02, 2017
frustratedrat:
i'm short-tempered. I probably inherited that trait from my dad. Due to the way my dad handled his affairs, my mum was plunged into penury. Currently living with her. The situations of the past has made her bitter. She complains about everything.

I open the pot to take my meal, she raises her voice, i come back empty-handed, she runs me down as being a leech. I lie flat without touching anything, she comes back complaining of so many things. When she starts, i find myself exchanging words with her.

I feel bad afterwards but the cycle continues once she makes me pesky again. how do i salvage this situation? Sometimes, i'm pushed to the edge that my frustration about her slander and my predicament makes me wanna hit her.
OP your situation is too similar with me. It's like we're thesame person. Best thing to do is move out. She'll miss you when you're gone and most importantly "Success is the best revenge"

Kevin Spacey apology message

CelebritiesKevin Spacey Apologises For Sexual Assault On Anthony Rapp; Reveals He's Gay by Blonchilli(op): 5:33pm On Oct 30, 2017
Hollywood star Kevin Spacey has made an apology after being accused of making a sexual advance toward a child actor.

Anthony Rapp, who was 14, said Spacey invited him to a party and seemed drunk when the alleged incident happened.

Spacey, who was 26, said: "I honestly do not remember the encounter... but if I did behave then as he describes I owe him the sincerest apology."

Spacey also revealed he was now living as a gay man after years of refusing to address rumours about his sexuality.

The US broadcaster, Netflix, said it was ending its popular political drama, House of Cards, which stars Spacey, after the forthcoming sixth season.

Netflix said it was "deeply troubled" by the allegations, but added that the decision to cancel the critically-acclaimed series had been made months ago.

Rapp said he was sharing the story now after the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

The movie mogul has been accused by more than 50 women of a range of allegations ranging from rape to sexual harassment. Mr Weinstein has denied any claims of non-consensual sex.

The accusations have sparked a debate about inappropriate behaviour in the entertainment industry and beyond, and encouraged more people to share their experiences.

His final tweet said "everything I wanted to say about my experience is in that article, and I have no further comment about it at this time".

In his interview with BuzzFeed News, the 46-year-old Star Trek: Discovery actor said he was sitting on the edge of a bed after the party - held in Spacey's apartment in 1986 - when Oscar-winning Spacey, now 58, came into the bedroom.

"He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don't, like, squirm away initially, because I'm like, 'What's going on?' And then he lays down on top of me," Rapp said.

"He was trying to seduce me... I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually."

Rapp said he was able to go to the bathroom before he left.

At the time of the alleged incident, Rapp was winning plaudits for his role in the Broadway production of the play Precious Sons. He has since appeared in numerous other theatre, television and film productions.

Responding to the allegation, Spacey said he was "sorry for the feelings [Rapp] describes having carried with him all these years".

He also addressed "stories" about his personal life, saying he had had relationships with both men and women and was now living as a gay man.

"I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behaviour."

Spacey's decision to reveal his sexuality at the same time as addressing an allegation of sexual assault against a child drew a backlash.

Spacey, a double Oscar winner and former artistic director of London's Old Vic theatre, was asked in 2010 why he did not acknowledge his homosexuality.

"People have different reasons for the way they live their lives," he told the Daily Beast . "It's just a line I've never crossed and never will."

He joked about rumours he was gay during his hosting of the 2017 Tony Awards, at one point singing "I'm coming out," before stopping and saying: "No, wait, no."

PoliticsRe: Biafra: Catalonia's Independence A Warning To Nigeria - Fani-kayode by Blonchilli(m): 3:35pm On Oct 28, 2017
kikake:
The EU, Spain and others couldn't approve Catalonia's referendum because in a democratic environment in 1978, Catalonia's representatives and political parties participated in drawing up, voting for and approval of Spain's present Constitution; and the constitution was subjected to popular referendum to all Spaniards who voted and adopted the constitution.

In Nigeria, military dictators from the north progressively organized constitution conferences, supervised the conferences and approved Nigeria's present constitution, which was not subjected to any referendum before the dictators imposed the constitution upon all in one Nigeria. Therefore, Nigeria's constitution is not binding to any group going for separation referendum.

When ignorant people or House Niggers talk, like you do ....
The constitution is not the matter here but swallowing what FFK and co are saying without thinking. And I'm not Hausa for your information. Go learn manners, keyboard warrior will do you no good
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Catalonia's Independence A Warning To Nigeria - Fani-kayode by Blonchilli(m): 3:02pm On Oct 28, 2017
Throwback:
I already defeated you with my very sane and logical argument, referencing the legitimacy of the Catalan ambitions as opposed to the delusional ambitions of a terrorist group that is not recognised as representing anyone.

IPOB cannot stand a sane argument because your demands are already flawed from the root.

Is IPOB a democratic representative of the SouthEast that already have a democratic and constitutional government and representation?

Has any local government, or state government requested for separation?
Has any state assembly from the SouthEast raised any motion talkless of passing a motion requesting for separation?
Has the SouthEast not got legislators at the national assembly, who can talk and make any demand that represents the wishes of their constituency?

Dude, IPOB is a joke, and the sooner you stop comparing that joke to a regional government of Scotland, Catalonia or Kurdish Iraq, the sooner you will realise that a joke is meant for humour.

So I laugh in IPOB.
Sometimes I wonder how these people think. FFK, Kanu and co are only using Biafra to stay relevant in politics and get money. If anything breaks out these men will run out of the country. And who told him Catalonia referendum was approved. US, UK, Spain and the UN opposed it. Unlike Brexit that was approved by the British government Catalonia is not. So the igbos and their e-warriors better wise up. These men are only using our head. I wonder when the youth in Nigeria will take matter into their hands than rely on these fat belly thief's. Gone are the days when politics were ran by young men in their late 20s and early 30ss. Our youth now are more concerned with turn up and booze. No wonder that block head is typing rubbish

This is odd and ironically hilarious coming the accursed progeny of a deadbeat who created this thread:

That your mum was a street-famous shameless fat nag wasn't reason enough for your alcoholic dad to build his muscles throwing her from the staircase as a daily routine.

May you end up in jail like him for sexually assaulting your underaged sister when your mum left.

May every female of your bloodline continually be blamed for being the victims of violent men.

May your limbs permanently go limp the next time you initiate physical assault on any woman!

SSBN:
Your opinion. A Nigerian fighting for racial justice by insulting the wife of the president in a country she's not a citizen, isn't this the epitome of stupidity?
As much as I agree with you about Adichie minding her business and the unnecessary jab at Melania's challenged son( which shows bully/I don't know which is worse, bully or racism) I believe someone of her status have every right to challenge racism where he/she perceives it. However, your stance on an individual being able to do what he/she wants contradicts your objection of homosexuality. A world were everyone is free to do what he/she wants we can't question the individual's option on which member of the opposite sex he/she sleeps with. Homosexuality is not new to the world and if you're using our cultural heritage on family to argue that then sticking to our culture is paramount but if you're using religion, countries like UK and US fought bloody wars for christianity but homosexuality is legal there. I'm a fan of Adichie by the way but that doesn't make me blind or a zombie to her every utterances. And by the way that's how Nigerians have always acted, the country is in a pile of mess created by most of them but they are more concerned about the affairs of another man's land than that of their fathers. Adichie should not have attacked her son. That's bully. And the matter of homosexuality, I don't think that should be a matter of debate, after all they had been gays in the US and UK before it was legalised an there are gays in Nigeria despite the 14 year jail time. So let's quite the hypocrisy. People should do what makes them happy

I understand but it doesn't give anyone the right to hit his/her partner. I'm not saying that because I'm a 'gender equality' supporter but because it's the right thing to do. People get hurt by loved ones but it doesn't give you the right to hit them

Women do carry the burdens of a home (though they make a big deal about it sometimes) Not sure a woman can be charged for rapes. Lol... Sounds weird.
Let's use the Tiwa and Teebillz scenario, if Tiwa was the man and Ttebilz made those accusations I don't think the matter of Tiwa taking care of Teebillz' welfare would have been an issue. Although there are men too who also complain that they take care of too many responsibilities. As for rape I think that's the whole point of gender equality, weird as it sounds men get raped too. Most young boys had been sexually abused by an elderly female. If we want gender equality both has to have equal playing field

I am yet to see any thread where a woman presented a gift to her husband to appreciate him.

Women always have things easy. This is why gender equality will never be achieved. Not in Nigeria anyways.
Gender equality cannot be achieved anywhere. Only way total gender equality can be achieved is if women also can be charged of rape and when a woman can carry the burden of a home and extended family without making a fuss about it

Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Phill Neville, Rashford, Pogba, Ryan Giggs, Jonny Evans, Darren Fletcher, Mark Hughes, Gary Neville, Jesse Lingard and there are more. If your argument is based on comparing players to Ronaldo and Messi then it's invalid. How many players are up to Arjen Robben level? And Ronaldo was 18 years old when United signed him and from 2003-2005 he went through development years. His first 2 season he scored 6 and 9 goals respectively. Ronaldo is Manchester made through and through

Guerrero believes that the Weinstein scandal will lead to a tidal wave of similar stories. “The only way to get [this abuse] to stop is for every woman to come forward and to tell their stories,” she says. “It’s not just about going to Human Resources any more. If the most powerful studio mogul in Hollywood could be brought down, I hope more women find the courage to come forward.

Guerrero later ventured into sports reporting, but was unable to escape the casting-couch syndrome. As an on-air reporter at Fox Sports in the early 2000s, she says that she was twice propositioned by Fox executives and twice rejected them. There were consequences. “I was supposed to provide on-site coverage for the 2002 Super Bowl in New Orleans that aired on Fox,” Guerrero says. “Before we departed, an executive—he was married—suggested that we share a hotel room.”

No way, Guerrero told him. “Then they took me off our Super Bowl coverage,” says Guerrero, who left Fox Sports in 2003 to be the sideline reporter for ABC’s Monday Night Football.
CrimeRe: Take Off Your Dress’: How Men In Hollywood, From Steven Seagal To Harvey by Blonchilli(op): 12:01pm On Oct 13, 2017
Upon arrival, Guerrero and Rhodes were greeted by Seagal, who answered the door clad only in a silk robe. He ushered them into a side room, where he sat in an oversized, ornate chair on a platform (“We called it ‘the throne,” says Guerrero) and asked Guerrero to read her scenes. When she finished, Seagal, who was also a producer on the film, Fire Down Below, said, “You’re fantastic! Tell me about yourself.”

“I drove home feeling pretty good about the audition,” Guerrero recalls, “and that same day my manager called. ‘Steven wants to offer you the lead,’ she said, ‘but you have to go back to his home for a private rehearsal tonight.’”

Guerrero declined. The lead role of Sarah Kellogg in that film went to Marg Helgenberger (of CSI fame), but Guerrero was given a small part. On the day she arrived on set, she spotted Seagal talking to male crew members. From Guerrero’s perspective, it seemed like a scene out of high school. “He was looking at me and then he’d say something to them and there’d be laughter,” says Guerrero, who was listed in the film’s credits as “Blonde Beauty.” “Finally he approached me and asked, ‘Would you like to go into my dressing room?’”
Once again, Guerrero declined. She has never seen Fire Down Below and as far as she knows, her scene was cut. “When I read about Harvey Weinstein, the reports of him appearing in a robe triggered me,” she says. “That’s exactly what Steven Seagal did. I found out later that he was notorious for this.”

An Inside Edition report that will air Thursday evening includes multiple allegations against Seagal spanning more than two decades. One of his accusers, Jenny McCarthy, said that during a casting session she was ushered into a room with Seagal, who said, “So you were [Playboy’s] Playmate of the Year? Take off your dress.”

That’s Hollywood, says Guerrero. “As an aspiring actress you have zero leverage,” says Guerrero, who appeared in the 2011 Oscar-nominated film Moneyball. “Who was I going to go to complain about sex discrimination? He was both the star and a producer on the film.”

CrimeTake Off Your Dress’: How Men In Hollywood, From Steven Seagal To Harvey by Blonchilli(op): 12:00pm On Oct 13, 2017
Inside Edition correspondent Lisa Guerrero, who has worked as an actress since 1990, nodded knowingly when the Harvey Weinstein news broke late last week. “Nearly every woman I know in Hollywood has been ‘Weinsteined’ at some point in their careers,” says Guerrero. “If not by him, then by someone else.”

In 1996, Guerrero was a 31-year-old with a few minor roles to her credit (Matlock, Batman Returns ) when her manager, Lorraine Berglund, phoned with exciting news. “They want you to read for the female lead in a Steven Seagal film,” Berglund said, “but the audition is going to be held at his house in Beverly Hills.”
In the mid-’90s, Seagal was a box-office juggernaut, but Guerrero was wary of the offer. The casting agency offered to send a female associate, Shari Rhodes, to accompany Guerrero on the audition. “This was potentially a huge break for me,” Guerrero says, “but there was no way I was going there by myself.”

Piece of cake. In my first year my Gp was 0.7 but graduated with 3.9. The only thing that stopped me from getting first class was my first year result. Just try and get an A in your final year project and any course with a good unit to boost your result. Then just sit and watch miracles happen
