Jahblessme: I don't really understand when people say why didn't she scream, why didn't she shout. People react differently to assault, some just lie still out of shock and it happens. Some claw face, kick, scratch. Some go into vacant mind phase then something kicks in and they begin to fight with everything they've got.
When a person who has authority over you or someone who you are familiar with is assaulting you, most times the first feeling is disbelief and no this can't be happening, giving excuses in your mind, before you say jack Robinson its going further, you say no,theres no stopping the attacker, you start begging no way.You threaten to scream and no one can hear you, sometimes you can fight the attacker off, sometimes you can't.Numbness can just take over. It takes a lot of self confidence from home, knowing who you are to stand up to a rap ist and fight with all you've got. Ra pe is not a joke..Only a very brave person with a strong family network can come out and point fingers and identify a rap ist.The society is mostly tilted against you, trying to blame you first for something which is not your fault.Family members would even prefer to keep it hush hush to avoid damaging family reputation. Even the worst ra pist will get up and claim sainthood. This girl will be damaged forever.Nothing in this world will ever take away the psychological damage of having someone force him/herself on you.
I'm glad people can now be medically examined to prove to some extent forceful se xual intercourse. The walls of the va gina will definitely be bruised and there may be bleeding.Unfortunately we are not yet skilled with Dna testing.Would have been the easiest way to nail the attacker.
For males its more difficult to prove as they are forced by direct stimulus to have an er ction and even orga sm.How many guys can come out and say they were rap ed?? They will be mocked endlessly. Its a horrible world out there
NO means NO. I really don't understand ppl. Some said was there a lion in d office? I just read the other girl's experience with the same man. He's strong. Imagine a 18 year old girl trying to fight a matured man off who has raped several matured girls. NO means NO but nobody understands |

zeb04: that man is a rapist. Go on front page and read the latest report.
useless pricks supporting the man. I am so hurt cos I know what it feels like to have a lecturer acting this way.
SOB's Yeah! I just checked FP and saw that. The man is sick, a mentally derailed psycho! I hope God, Allah, Buddha and all the gods of men send serial rapists to rape the wife, daughters, sisters, niece, grandmothers and even dose justifying and protecting the man. |

May God, Allah, Buddha, and all the gods of human send serial rapists to rape their mom, wives, daughters, sisters and grand-mothers. kevinberry: He is not a rapist is he..just like me calling you a murderer because someone accuse of of murdering someone he knows..how does that sound to you..that the essence. Of all what I have been trying to say By law he might not be a rapist but the issue here is stop accusing the girl that she caused whatever happens. Didn't the man say he had sex with her? Whether she agreed or not, another girls has accused him of it in d past. So bro I don't need to say much. |

I bet you your daughter will be raped.... nt just raped, gang banged and people will tell you the men coaxed her into sex. Mofo He's a sick Bleep. A beast, an animal, one who doesn't deserve to be amongst civilized people. His type shouldn't even be kept with the creature of the wild. They've more prestige than him. snakebeat: Sharraap my friend! @ bolded, was the man holding a gun? Had it been she saw a lion in the lecturer's office would she have kept quiet. By keeping quiet automatically means she conceded to the act. She's just using rape as a smokescreen to get back at the lecturer, obviously for reneging on his own part of the bargain.
The lecturer coaxed sex from her, but he didn't rape her... So if a girl didn't or couldn't scream for help while she was being raped then that justifies the rapist? YOU'RE A SICK Bleep |

I didn't say anybody must be jailed. I'm only sick with the way people turn d case, twisted it in d favor of d man. I mean I haven't heard a rapist being protected by the people. It's sick bro. |

BuddhaPalm: Jesus said: "By their fruits we shall know them...".
Releasing a tape right after her supposed rape calls her claims into question.
It's very easy for SJWs like you to quickly jump to conclusions AGAINST MEN whenever rape is mentioned.
For the second girl, being raped in an OFFICE, while you wait for the man to put on a condom is a stretch man, for many reasons.
And even, raping a woman, in the absence excessive physical force and the imminent threat of violence is far from easy.
It is most likely that the intercourse was consensual, but on the promise of admission. Many women will give up their virtue in the pursuit of any goals they consider worthwhile.
Maybe she just felt used afterwards and turned on the man, since the admission didn't materialize.
Finally, I can only speculate, given the facts at hand.
And IF you don't have more facts than we all do, then you shouldn't rush to conclusions too. I'm a man and I ve sisters. And Jesus didn't condemn d prostitute because everybody was. There's a victim here and obviously it doesn't matter what happened to u. |

And if you should continue saying men can't be raped,I will continue taking every female rape cases as an arrangee one And what kind of test must be carried on a rapist to prove he's the rapee. I didn't say men can't be raped. I said the norm of society is that a man cannot be raped because he's the stronger vessel. |

kevinberry: Cococandy,here@the bolded lies the hypocrisy am talking about....
This thread is dead on arrival
I guess I can also say the lady being raped is also a coward,or nobody should take her serious too..since that what you guys have to say concerning men Do u even understand what was written or the story @ all? The girl reported to her parents who took her for examination and it was confirmed. I'm a grown man and the norm of the society is dat women r the weaker vessel and also that a woman can't rape a man. If I tell my friends I was raped by a girl first thing is dat they'll laugh it off. It's DEAD!!! Now the girl was no coward, as was the Timaya's case. She told her parents and they reported to the police. The lecturer claim he would ve checked on her, he acted as if he had her number. If he did like he claimed he would have called or sent a text. Is there anything like that? Now we all jump to conclusion that is was a set-up. I agree there must be an investigation but we're here supporting serial rapists. What kind of hypocrisy is dat? |

Omo I better log off before I go vex this morning.
What's kind of brain functioning is responsible for all these Nigerians are sick I swear. Maybe the new administration legalised rape and only the rapists know about it. The response to the case is sad. Now the girl is responsible for it and the man is the victim. Maybe she should ve known it will occur and call all her friends to come and be her witness or hold a camera or better the man should rape their sisters and mom next. Maybe they don't know a hubby can also rape his wife. |

laplace12: Evidences show there was no rape. Reason people respond that way.
To establish a rape case there should be a proof there is no romantic relationship between the people involved. But here there is hanging out and consensual romantic touches at different times before the alleged rape.
And the girl has reached the age of sex consent. And was there any evidence of sexual relationship btwn d 2. Did it ever occurred to u dat d man is making it up to prove his innocence? Will a hen lay still to be slaughtered? |

kevinberry: pathetic, you talk of rape cases and focus mainly of females,so much for gender equality, whoever is been raped or has been raped should provide strong evidence or the rape never took place...imagine rapping a full grown girl and she was still able to interview the person that raped her,or an 18 years old girl, and she decided not to tell anybody, common sense will tell you that she agreed to have sex with the lecturer,in the course of the action, probably the lecturer ruff handled her and and in the process result to injuries in her private parts....believe any case of rape by a lecturer at your own peril..either hotel or his/her office Sorry but it seems to u the girl did everything wrong and the guy did everything right with the wrong person. |

NeduLuiZ: there's something missing in the whole story
I blame the animal of a man for it all I agree but Nigerians' reaction is that rape is allowed. Haven't you heard cases where a lady is genuinely raped and thereafter she is questioned and criticised for what she wore and blamed for the whole thing? Whereas the man is hailed by his friends and rapists! |

angieberry: You have a good point there, it's all part of the African man mentality where the man is always right, where the supremacy of the man and his actions is emphasized. Here, women are belittled and constantly put down, and you can attest to that due to the numerous woman-bashing threads. Here, women are empty headed bimbos who would always use the opportunity to use their bodies to get what they want. So, any act of rape is always the woman's fault.
That aside, that Timaya rape story is one I find hard to believe. I mean, the story seems very fishy and I can almost swear that the whole thing is made up. Well said. Women are relegated to the background. If a woman is beating by her husband the questions would be "what did you do?", "women talk too much". This mentality will take us nowhere. The Timaya's case I think happened. Don't u knw in a situation where a boy n girl initially agree to sex n d girl refuses later on only to be forced by d guy is rape? |

No wonder we have rapists as Pastors. No wonder we have wife beaters as glorified husband. No wonder we have fathers who can't put their home together but rather blame their wife for their misfortunes. Nigeria is a sick country. Some days back I read how Nigerians here on NL claiming Sheila was blackmailing Timaya and wanted to bring him down. How she's possessed and she's responsible for whatever happened. Even if she's a prostitute or not the young man forced her or lemme put it clearly to the hypocrites, he raped her. And y'all applauding him for it. She reported to the authorities and mind you no one was there when it happened. But we miraculously know she agreed to it and decided to blackmail the guy when she couldn't have her way. Now an 18 year old girl is raped by a disgrace to the academic profession and y'all claiming she decided to blackmail him because she agreed initially and couldn't get her admission. An 18 year old? I weep for Nigerians. so her age is no concern or whether she was forced but it's that she manipulated the guy. Whereas a high school teacher was jailed in the U.S for getting pregnant by her pupil who toasted her but here we are supporting a serial rapist. How sick are we? If Bill Cosby was a Nigerian he would still be holding shows around the country and those women will be blamed, they will say they are trying to tarnish his image. No wonder a bleeped up father can tell his son that a woman deserves beating (Yes, a father told his son this after he stopped his father from hitting his second wife). Now Timayaa and the lecturer are the victims and the girls are the rapist. Can someone please tell me what is the legal definition of rape? I am dissapointed with this country. How will you feel is Sheila was your sister of if the little girl was your daughter? We need to take a stand on rape or else India will be a paradise for women and Nigeria a paradise for rapists. I remember a case in India where a lady was violated with a iron rod and died days later despite intervention from the government! Let's put a stop to this before next could be your sister, mother, daughter or even grand-mother. |
