Not all premium is 5%
I don't think theft is 5% na those minor accidents
Even engine replacement and third party is not 5%
Comprehensive is 5%; it covers all risk like theft, fire, major accident and minor accidents.

The thing dey give peace of mind. If u like get accident 15 times a year, dem go dey pair for repair of the vehicles within the policy year. Na only when u wan renew dem go raise concerns about how often u dey get accident

I'm seriously considering going back to it. Stopped briefly when they increased it to 5% the value of the car. What made it more difficult was that I used to pay 1.9%.
Omo, u need to not only consider it but opt for it o. Paying 5% of the value of the car to get protection in this uncertain period is a good decision no matter how u look at it.

Let's say for example the car is worth 10m and u paid N500k as premium(5%); if something happens like u park ur car in front of church and after service u can't find ur car due to theft.....even if the car is now N15m at market value, if insurance give u N9m sef it's still better than having 0 balance and looking for a whole N15m to replace same car.

They have not yet started.

The man also mentioned what you just said. That they don't have industries or companies and the farming they were using to sustain themselves has gone down due to insecurity. They've been relying on handouts from political appointees and they don't even have much of that again.
Only Kano is highly industrialized ; the rest of the north nothing really dey happen there as far as industries are concerned .

I don't envy people living up north presently . Money no dey really flow like that for north. In fact , they don't reject torn or Mutilated naira notes like we do down south.

Only God knows how this coming Ramadan go be for them sef .

I met someone who just arrived PH from Katsina on Saturday. He said he was surprised to see people still driving all around town that this hardship did not get to PH at all.

Said if I see what is happening in Katsina, I'll pity them. Divorce everywhere. Women are leaving their husbands houses back to their fathers house, their favourite food tuwo is almost impossible to eat. Even the appointments they use to hold body here and there has been taken away from them by Tinubu. He said the people are very angry with Tinubu.

My only response to him was, you people voted him into power, you have not started yet. 7+ more years to go.
For someone who has lived in the north before , I know all of these things are more is definitely happening in the north as we speak.

The fact that bandits and terrorists make it hard for people to farm in peace since the days of Buhari has made their case precarious .

Only God knows what those Islamic clerics will
Be cooking for Tinubu up north as we speak like this .

Do you see him breaking into the LCM role at Emirates? I think he's proven himself at Luton this season. Adebayo and co just taking away most of the shine.
Lokonga is not Arsenal's level . It's good he's playing well at Luton, we should cash-in on that and sell to the highest bidder ASAP .

Below was what I said during the campaign season

BlueRayDick:
I just hope whoever is going to be the president has other ideas of generating revenue other than Taxation, taxation and more taxation.

I'm saying this because I'm yet to see FG thinking about how to increase government's earnings other than imposing more tax on the people. Now we have them taxing almost everything in sight both in Lagos and at the federal Level. They tax recharge cards/phone calls, increase vat , drive PAYEE like mad and even tax traders through fees, rates and dues. Yet goverment earnings is not matching it's spendings.
Larride seemed to be of the opinion that Tinubu would be empathic , would not continue to tax everything on sight and has ideas about income generation which he has been dishing out and Buhari played deaf . My guy Larride even thinks Tinubu would focus on taxing the rich and leave the poor alone. Guess who is choking the poor ? Tinubu !

larride:
Of course, If you follow Tinubu colloquium that he does on his birthday annually, he always give his advice on how things can be improved on.

There's one that Buhari was the Guest Honor of the day and Tinubu was talking about how to tackle and reduce corruption in the civil service. He practically told Buhari then that Efcc alone cannot eradicate corruption from the civil service until a credit system is made paramount instead of the cash and carry system we currently operate. A gave an example, A civil servant that has been working for say 6-10yrs, how does this civil servant buy a car or get a home? If he wants either, he will be required to pay cash for it, if his salary cannot fund it, he looks for way to game the system to get the cash to buy the car/house. But a credit system where civil servant can use their job/salary to get these things on credit while they pay installmently will help reduce corruption in the civil servant by a big stretch. Likewise mortgage for houses.

When they wanted to increase VAT to 7.5% also, in that year Colloquium, Tinubu pleaded with V.P Osibanjo and his team not to go ahead with the increase of VAT because it will reduce the purchasing power of the masses and further throw more into poverty. He rather suggested that the tax net be expanded to include those whose income are taxable but not currently paying taxes into the tax net, he even suggested luxury tax that target the elite. But what did Osinbajo did? They went ahead with the VAT increase anyways. I think that's when Tinubu stop disturbing himself with any advice if they are not going to consider it.

Yeah. Ademoyega appeared to be quite balanced and non-emotive in his book. He was however writing about the parts he knew as even he couldn’t have known the whole picture.

You have to conside the possibility of a coup within a coup. I suspect certain elements within the coup had their own hidden agenda, and in my opinion Zik was tipped off by one of those elements beforehand.
I agree with u 💯 on this .

Other people in the coup had their own agenda and it was what actually led to the coup not being 100% successful. Some of them were not as revolutionary as Ademoyega and the rest of the original 3 earlier thought.

you must aleays remember that when an individual writes an autobographicalAdemoyega broke everything down in his book. The army as at that time consisted of officers whom he divided into 3 distinct groups based on their ideologies . book he is seeking to change the narrative to present himself in the best possible light.
No, that's not what he did. He didn't sell the narrative they were the better out of the lot.

He admitted that some of the plans and ideas they had were lofty . He admitted to mistakes they made .

He was very open in his manner of writing and he didn't try to compel the reader to be sympathetic with them (the coupists ) , nor see things from their point of view only .

raumdeuter:
Maybe that wasn't the intention of Ademoyega but he could only speak for himself and his intentions
Which will explain why Ademoyega did not kill anyone in the coup unlike the others
Ademoyega gave orders for people to be killed .
He gave order for the finance minsiter to be killed . He also gave orders for some military guys they arrested to be killed while they were fleeing from Ironsi.

What messed up their plan was not getting Ironsi and that was because some reactionary forces tipped Ironsi off.

Ademoyega broke everything down in his book. The army as at that time consisted of officers whom he divided into 3 distinct groups based on their ideologies .

The first group are officers who were hand in hand with the politicians . They are willing to do the bidding of the politicians and enjoy their largesse ( just like we have now ) .

The second group are reactionary officers who are either here nor there ; they are not interested in politics per se , they want to have their bread buttered and at the same time do not want to be disturbed by the wickedness of the political rulers ( this is the group Ironsi fell under ) .

The third group are the revolutionaries who hated the politicians , the corruption that comes with it and the senior military officers that gave them backbone to perpetuate their wickedness . This was the group the coupists belonged to. Their aim was to Eliminate the politicians and those officers that fall under group 1. Then they intend to arrest those that belong to group and keep them away ,while they restart the country afresh by transitioning to a new democracy where there will be consequences for corruption and other crimes perpetuated by the politicians in the first republic.

I wont call that idealism rather opportunism. One Nigeria was Okay as long as Zik could dominate. When the cart was shaken few months later there was a coup to wipe out everyone who was perceived to have shaken it.
Maybe idealism is not the word and maybe opportunism is also not the word. But it's obvious Zik miscalculated

As regards the coup , from the account of the coup I've read that wasn't the intention of the coupists. I'm talking of an account written by a soldier who was one of the 3 leaders ; Adewale Ademoyega .
