PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service AiRS, wishes to inform all Stakeholders and Operations on Transportation in Anambra State comprising of Buses including Shuttle Buses, Try-Cycle otherwise known as Keke, Trucks including Mini-Trucks, Tippers, Lorries, Taxis, Market Chairman, etc. that there will be Biometrics Enumeration and Registration excersice in Anambra State commencing from Thursdays, June 2, 2022.

The biometrics enumeration and exercise will take place at Designated ports to be communicated through the union exceutives accordingly. All the Stakeholders on Transportation are by this announcement mandated to comply within four weeks from June 2, 2022. Failure to comply attracts impoundment.

This exercise is in line with Governor Charles Soludo's vision to nip the recent security challenges of the State in the bud.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

In accordance with the government decision to start collecting Tax/revenue directly from the payers, ANAMBRA INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (AIRS) shall commence revalidation/registration of all the vehicles operating in Anambra State on Thursday 2nd of June 2022, this exercise shall last till the end of June, after which the Government Taskforce shall start arresting those who refused to partake in this exercise.
The registration fee is N1500 for all the transporters.

Payment of Tax/Revenue shall commence immediately after the registration exercise.

Tax/IGR shall be paid on monthly bases after which nobody has the right to stop you again for any other ticket and you shall operate freely on all the roads, government parks and terminals without any further payment. The State Government shall communicate the amount for the monthly payment before the end of registration exercise through radio, televisions, newspaper e.t.c.

The Registration shall take place at the following places:

AWKA
1. Women Development Centre
2. ATCOASN State Office, 2nd floor God of Mercy Plaza Club Road Awka

Onitsha
1. Shoprite Onitsha
2. Taxi office, No 84/118 Uguta Road Onitsha
3. New park Onitsha

Omambala
1. Taxi Terminal, Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri

Nnewi
1. Taxi office, park/Ibeto Road Nnewi

Ekwulobia
1. Ekwulobia Central Park

Ihiala
1. Central Park Ihiala (beside Total fuel station)

Umunze
1. New park Umunze

It shall be communicated if Government add more registration venues.

2. ANSSID number (this shall be giving to you by the staff of AIRS at the point of registration.

This information is inline with the directives giving by The State Governor and the outcome of the meetings between the Governor and all the Transport Associations in Anambra State.

Hence forth all the Revenue and Tax collection and shall be done directly by The State Government through ANAMBRA INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (AIRS)
