I was just thinking...

If GEJ could muster the courage to call the bluff of the monsters around his presidency just this one time as widely speculated...how come he was helpless until it was too late?

Take it or leave it, GEJ is responsible for all the decisions his administration took when he held the power as C in C.

Yes, he has achieved a stateman's status for matching his words with action even if it was just for once but I will very much contest his heroism...

I cannot give you the figures because I do not know but you can be rest assured that the pay is competitive with other companies in their category.

You could have 2 or 3 interviews after the problem solving tests depending on what you applied for.

Best of luck.

GEJ does not only need 25% of votes cast in two thirds of the states, he also need majority of votes.

As far as I know, Oyo, Ogun and Osun are more or less with the opposition with only Ekiti for PDP.

I didn't believe my eyes when I got to the point where Mr President was wooing the northerners with the return of power to them.

Mr President, I hope the northerners will still believe you this time after all it wasn't too long ago that you promised to serve only a term and return power to them, this promise you broke with your decision to run for another term.

While you are eminently qualified to run, I hope your performance in the last 5 to 6yrs will be enough to convince them to believe you.

PoliticsRe: Another Look At 2011 Result Breakdown By Region by bodejohn(m): 4:42pm On Mar 27, 2015
The reality is this...

The presidential election is not between the PDP and APC, it is between Jonathan and Nigerians. Even the map shared by the OP clearly showed this.

I expect a lot more people to vote based on personality than party affiliations. I also expect people to vote based on present realities in the country...queues in the filling stations, falling value of Naira and general insecurity...

My prediction for the election, Jonathan will win more states and GMB will win more votes...

Woe on any person in the south that would waste vote on the dying general buhari. If the northerners always vote a northerner on sentiments (religious and ethnic), we southerners would be fools, idiots, mad etc not to vote Jonathan too based on sentiments as a brother, christian & southerner + his visible achievements. Remember northerners never wished that a southerner rule Nigeria. Remember muslims would never want a christian lord over them; they call us infidels. VOTE FOR JONATHAN LET THE NORTHERNERS LEARN TO TOLERATE CHRISTIANS AND KNOW PRESIDENCY IS NOT THEIR BIRTH RIGHT.
Did you feel better after saying all these? if you didn't, something is wrong.

PoliticsRe: 5 Quotes From Obama That APC Is Very Uncomfortable With by bodejohn(m):
paullo240:
1. “Nigeria is a great nation and you can be
proud of the progress you’ve made.”
Obama acknowledges that Nigeria has made
tremendous progress that we can be proud
of. Listening to the APC’s message you would
think that Nigeria is not working, and Obama
rightly points out that we have made
progress under the present Jonathan
administration.
Who would want uncertain change over the
chance to keep progressing?

2. “Together, you won your independence,
emerged from military rule, and
strengthened democratic institutions.”
Read the quote again. Obama says there is
no going back to military rule. Do we want to
go back to being bound by the shackles of
dictatorship? Buhari says he is a “reformed
democrat” but as we all know a leopard
doesn’t change its spots.
I watched the video, the two points up there are actually in a single statement.
I think you decided to break the statement at the point where it served your interest.

paullo240:
3. “You’ve worked hard to improve the
lives of your families and to build the
largest economy in Africa.”
Contrary to all the lies that the APC has been
trying to sell, our economy is progressing,
and it did not become the largest economy in
Africa by chance but by the good policies of
the Jonathan administration. Obama states
this fact whilst acknowledging that the lives
of Nigerians have improved, and thereby
showing the APC to be liars.
There is a father that is very rich, yet the children are poor.
Even Doyin Okupe acknowledge that the growth in the country's economy can only support locomotives.

paullo240:
4. “Violence has no place in democratic
elections — and that they will not incite,
support or engage in any kind of violence
— before, during, or after the votes are
counted.”
When violence is mentioned, Nigerians cannot
extricate General Buhari from his famous
statement before the 2011 elections and his
famous silence after his supporters went
wild. The Blood of Dog and Baboon statement
recently made concerning the 2015 elections
still echoes deeply. The APC is threatening a
parallel government also… Obama’s speech is
a clear warning against that.
Both parties (APC & PDP) are guilty of this.
You can say it was right for Mama Peace to ask for the stoning of political opponents

paullo240:
5. “Boko Haram wants to destroy Nigeria
and all that you have worked to build. By
casting your ballot, you can help secure
your nation’s progress.”
Secure your nation’s progress. Don’t change
your fortunes.
It was obvious from the outset that this was exactly what the sect was out to achieve.
They gained unimaginable grounds while the political elites were trading blames across party, ethnic and religious lines.

Overall, it is shameful and disgraceful that world leaders are preaching how important peace is to us during elections.

But I know that two production lines in my company are down for about two weeks now because people are not buying these products...

I know that 20% of the total contract staffs are currently been handed their stay at home letters as I type this...

I know that there is a loud uneasy because there are rumors that some staffs will have asked to leave...

It is not so difficult to understand economics after all. ..

How on earth is that a red card?
PoliticsRe: Failed Card Reader: Africans Are Just Too Dumb by bodejohn(m): 4:59pm On Mar 08, 2015
noblezone:
Then it simply shows the card readers can be used to rig effectively.
Since they are stand alone, they can be manipulated at their units and then be returned to INEC.

No wonder people are stealing and buying PVCs, they know what is on ground.
Also, if I insert a card, and it recognizes it an records it, when I remove it and put it again, what happens?

Will the card reader reject the card?
will it accept it but not record it again?
Or will still accept it and record it?

The rigging will be done at the units, our ATM systems are hacked and manipulated.
Let alone this.

It is not about being scared of trying new things sir,
It is about the fact that things such as this are not done over night.
If the card readers are not synchronized in a central database, then forget it.
All that need to be done is this, get the number of registered voters in polling unit, manipulate the card readers to that number, then do what you wish to do with it.

If care is not taken, many people are going to disenfranchised.
Elections are not rigged at the polling units.
It is mostly at the collation centers that the manipulation happens.

Can you tell me how you want to manipulate the card reader at the polling unit in the full glare of the voters?

We can ague the timing of the card readers but the technology behind it can be made foolproof at least to the voters and politicians.
PoliticsRe: Failed Card Reader: Africans Are Just Too Dumb by bodejohn(m): 2:48pm On Mar 08, 2015
Contrary to your opinion @OP, the card readers are not linked to INEC's server.

They are standalone units with the data of each polling unit loaded on them. The readers are expected to compare the data stored in the cards with the ones in its memory and determine whether they are original or fake.

According to INEC, the number of accredited voters can also be gotten from the card readers when they are returned back to their office.

People are always reluctant to try new things and new processes also bring with it some complications but come to think of it, even with catastrophic accidents in the air, faster and bigger airliners are manufactured each year.

We can make our systems more efficient and foolproof only if we are willing to.

Yes the loads are existing. Both for the lamps and pump.

As a way out, I might have to split the load into 3. That way I can have 1200watts each and then size each load separately.
What do you think?
Perfect, a reasonable option.
Is the pump AC or DC?
You just have to be careful with high DC currents, they are dangerous.

Your efficiencies might also well exceed 90% since there will be no power inversion.

On the side, is your client building a poultry farm?

Thanks BodeJohn,
Increasing system voltage won't be possible because its a 24DC load (DC lamps)

I can adjust efficiency as u suggested.

I might have to reduce autonomy to 1.5days

I might have to increase DOD to 75%.

All these above just to reduce cost.

Hhmmmm World bank? Its not a personal project but the owner should be able to fund it.

Thanks
Are the loads purchased already? if not, I suggest you go for 220v power so you can go higher on the battery voltage. It might save you some more costs.

Same for the 30HP pump. You will be able to run it on a VFD and prevent the expected starting current...
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bodejohn(m): 8:40am On Mar 07, 2015
@ Schneid, it will be near impossible to charge 38 strings of battery adequately.
It is even advisable not to go beyound 3 or 4 strings.
You will definitely need to step up that battery voltage to 48 or 96V so that the number of the strings will be reduced.
I think you were also too optimistic about the efficiency of the system. 85 or 90% will be reasonable.

On a lighter note, are you going to finance that project with a World Bank loan or is it FG sponsored? 78 batteries at 60k each will be 4.6M.
