The did is done in this case but while you at it, move the remaining funds into a fixed deposite account.

Anytime I have idle funds greater than 100k in my account, it gets moved into the fixed deposite, while it is safer there, it also brings better interests...

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Less Than 5 Million Nigerians Are Unemployed - NBS by bodejohn(m): 9:15pm On May 15, 2015
Hmm...

This was one of the basis for aguement between Soludo and Madam NOI early this year.

I also honestly think unemployment isn't the big issue here but underemployment and very poor renumeration of workers.

I am however worried that our politicians will turn this overboard and begin to ascribe to themselves success that they did little or nothing about.

This exercise is so similar to the rebasing of the economy we will quickly forget the real facts that poverty has been entrenched in our psychic....
PoliticsRe: Transparency Int’l Rates President Jonathan Govt As Best, Says Buhari, Obasanjo by bodejohn(m): 8:47pm On May 13, 2015
You guys find it so easy to twist facts.

Corruption perception index for Nigeria was best around 2008 when OBJ handed over to Yar'Adua.

It plummeted under the regime of GEJ to an all time low. This has been discussed and confirmed in more than two different threads.

@OP, the onus is on you to prove this beyond doubt...you can start by making screenshots from Transparency international to make a case.

Nairaland GeneralRe: China Builds 57-storey Skyscraper - In Just 19 Days by bodejohn(m): 4:21pm On May 02, 2015
Raymondenyi:
please enlighten us on the modalities involved without compromising details cum nitty - gritty
The advantages of this engineering technique is not far fetched. The design took into consideration the fact that the building will be divided into modules and there after assembled into one piece.

The modules can be constructed simultaneously since it will no longer be necessary for one floor to be made before the next thereby reducing overall construction time.

In the case of the one that I was involved with, even the equipments were installed and necessary pipes laid, some of the electrical cables were also laid in their respective cable trays.

It is a very nice concept and I enjoyed working on both the design and construction phases of the project.
Nairaland GeneralRe: China Builds 57-storey Skyscraper - In Just 19 Days by bodejohn(m): 7:57am On May 02, 2015
Modular technology of making buildings has been around for sometime.

I was privileged to be part of the team that put up a similar building in Ibadan Oyo state at a manufacturing company. We did 5 storeys of 30meters in 5 days with about a day or two delay because of rain.

The advantages are numerous and quality of construction is not by anyway compromised. Construction time required at project site is greatly reduced.

I trust that since this was designed and built in China, the quality will be flawless because any deviation from standards that leads to fatality will lead everybody who worked on the site straight to the gallows.

PoliticsRe: OYO 2015: Ajimobi Won, But The Majority Lost. by bodejohn(m): 7:52pm On Apr 13, 2015
I do not know why I am defending Ajimobi on these type of threads.

You guys need to wake up, there is nothing like the majority lost. There were candidates in the elections and Ajimobi's APC won.

Were you expecting him to have votes like the ones been released in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states? He had able contenders in Akala and Ladoja.

Suggesting that they should have gone into an alliance would have been a gang up against Ajimobi and that would not have benefitted the people of the state.

I am saying again, the elections are now over, let us come together for the benefit of the state.
PoliticsRe: Politics Of Oyo State, Why And How Ajimobi Won by bodejohn(m): 4:42pm On Apr 13, 2015
There is no taking away the fact that Ajimobi has won the elections and will be the governor of the state for another 4years...

I will however differ on some of the points you made. It is common knowledge that the elites do not vote during elections.

You also should not say that only riff raffs are complaining or angered by his win. Every winner should be magnanimous and we all should work together and move the state forward.

Campaigns are now over, we should not over celebrate or taunt the people who lost...there is so much to be done in the next four years...

haftob:
He dint get majority of the votes but he has the highest no of votes (they are 2 different things). And wat hapnd was dat majority votes were splitted btw Ladoja(Accord),Akala(LP),Teslim(PDP) and Seyi Makinde(SDP)
You are only playing with words.
Majority does not come from something that is split.

see u...ballot snatching d only way of rigging an election?...maybe d figures were doctored
Did you read the part were I said I doubt if the results were credible?

My friend, maybe Ajimobi would have lost suppose Buhari didn't win or if PDP had not gone to the polls with Teslim.

See, the elections have been won and lost...any contrary view na court matter...
Or do you think INEC will read our conversation here and cancel the election?

sketcherJ:
dats only theory....

Now can we talk abt wat d average oyo man is talking abt!?
What do you think is the need of an average man in Oyo state?

It has been said times without number that elections are not won on the social media...
About 300,000 inhabitants of Oyo state preferred Ajimobi and he has won...

The result was similar to the the last one in the state except that the second place this time went to Accord party.

To me, from available reports, the election in Oyo state was free, I didn't hear of ballot snatching...it was fair, the candidate that won was popular and we should not quickly forget that a lot of people more than 500,000 people voted for Buhari and by extension the APC just two weeks ago...i somewhat doubt the credibility of the results...but we have a governor elect now...

Simply put the change of party at the federal level worked against the other contenders in Oyo state...
PoliticsRe: Oyo State Governorship Result:majority Are Not Happy by bodejohn(m): 10:40pm On Apr 12, 2015
You guys should stop winning over split milk...the elections are over, there is a winner...can we now move on?

I voted and supported Ladoja's Accord party but he has lost out...we need to now move from electioneering to demand accountability and reponsiveness from the elected officers...
PoliticsRe: Oyo State Governorship Result:majority Are Not Happy by bodejohn(m): 9:49pm On Apr 12, 2015
How can majority not be happy when he got the majority of votes in the state?

The elections are over now, the winners and the loosers should work together to move the state forward.

EducationRe: Electrical Experts, I Need Your Help!!! by bodejohn(m): 10:04pm On Apr 09, 2015
OK, I know about the ballast and bulb but I not seen both in combination with a fan except this is just a special need for your application.

There should be a simple wiring diagram on the ballast itself, if it isn't there, you should be able to pull the connection wiring from the Internet.

I will advise you connect the fan separately because the bulbs usually takes a lot of power about 500 watts is the minimum I have seen.

Do let me know if you need further information.

@ OP, you are right till the point where you said dstv asked their subscribers to add the extra money to makeup...

I had the same issue and after wasting 2hrs on the queue, my account was reconnected.

While I hold no brief for dstv, I think it will take sometime before we can have a viable option to them, think of how many options exist in Africa.

We first need the appropriate regulatory body to do their job...
