I would advise you wait this week out... I haven't heard of anyone that got an NOI yet, but I can confirm those that have can send in their applications on the Ontario PNP website now.

Let's see how it goes this week as they only just re-opened.

I promise to give an update once I notice anything.

winter:
I opened an EE profile this month and selected Ontario in my profile.

DO I need to recreate another one?

You do not need the police report until you have received ITA... However, he would have to also get the police report cos it's a requirement for both of you post ITA.

Check your score without his ECA and if it's reasonably high, you do not need to get an ECA done for him, if not, it's advisable you do so you can earn extra points.

You can evaluate your Masters degrees alone...

Kathyjex:
Hi Temi

I am the PA and my husband and I lived in England at some points in our lives (then single). Does he have to get a police report as well?

Also does he need and ECA? If yes why? If yes also, can we get ECA for just his masters programs ? I don't know how to get Uni Ibadan's transcript in his absence.
Please does anyone in the house know?

Regards
Ifunanya

Oh ok... I think you should be patient then, cos your IETLS, MSc and her MSc would give a really great score. I hope those come through soon.

No worries @PM

Hmm...

We have been in the pool for some time. Wifey is the principal applicant. Our current score is 397 because I allowed my IELTS result to expire.

Possible scores start from 425 but could be higher upon positive evaluation of my MBA and wifey's Msc.

Frankly speaking, I am the one delaying her on this Canny venture.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:41pm On Feb 21, 2017
Oh really? I assumed you were already in the pool. What's your highest possible score, assuming you get maximum points in your IELTS.

Tried replying your PM, but it bounced back... not sure why.

40manlappy:

Thanks for the heads up. Waiting for IELTS test result embarassed

Ontario application is open now... For those that have 400 and above, please re-create a new profile and add Ontario as a province you are interested in... You should get an NOI asap.

The application is online now, so there might be hope of a faster processing time.

Also note that you have to pay an application fee of 1,500 CAD USD.

All the best guys and Good Luck!

Ontario application is open now... I will advise you create a new profile and chose Ontario as a province you will like to stay in. Once you do that, you should get an NOI immediately or thereabout. Your score is over 400 right?

Also, you have to pay a fee of 1,500 CAN USD when you submit your application.

40manlappy:

Thank you smiley

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:20am On Feb 21, 2017
Ontario selects continuously until they close up (I guess that's the point they exhaust their quota).

As dupyshoo said earlier, you need to state Ontario as a province of choice while filling your profile.

Most times, people had to re-create their profile as it seemed Ontario went after only newly created profiles with 400 and above score.

40manlappy:
@boldinc, GrandCommander

How often does Ontario select from the pool? Was it a one off selection or they do so at intervals?

Would appreciate your feedback.

I am expecting my IELTS results in early March and want to determine if it's something my wife and I can work with.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:40am On Feb 20, 2017
If you read my message properly, you will realize I mentioned that the score 'might' go higher or lower...

GrandCommander:

they have not reduced that cut off and I doubt if they will
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 6:29am On Feb 20, 2017
Ontario PNP selects people from the pool that have a score equivalent to their cut-off mark... As at last year, it was 400 (which qualifies your friend). However, not sure if the cut-off score would be lower or higher this time, but I'm sure more details will be revealed this week.

Also, it was noticed that Ontario selected people that had newly entered the pool (not sure why), so people had to delete their old profile and create a new one to get the NOI, which most did almost immediately.

People waited a while to get their nomination (bout 8 months or more), but they eventually did. Also, Ontario was the only province that you had to pay to apply (1,500 Can USD as at the last time they were open).

I will advise your friend gives IELTS another shot while he/she waits to know more about the Ontario PNP.

Hope this helps...

esosa4real:

Eyah!! I can imagine....the delay could weaken ones faith!! All the best!

BTW do you know about this ontarion pnp that's opening again nextweek?
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html

I am asking on behalf a friend, his score is 417 and while he awaits to rewrite, he wants to know if this new ontario program would need an application or they will select randomly from pool.... what's the basis of selection sef? Seems they wanna change from past methods, now online if am not mistaken and seems I saw ielts lowered to 6 in each band.

Also, is it true that if you get PR via ontario @NP, you must stay in ontario province for a while??

Pls anyone have an input on this?

It is advisable he transfers the lump sum into your account and writes an LOE to that effect.

Simply choose employment. SInce he's been working even though running his own business.

2. Yes... Include all activities.

Jalzy29:
@ Hally, Esosa, Vcole and optionese.... Thanks for all your response. I have successfully linked my application.
May I ask that in the checklist under personal history : personal activity: Activity type what should I fill.1. Since my hubby got back from his masters degree in India 3years ago he has been hustling himself, Therefore he's self employed But there is no option of self employed there. Should we click Unemployed will it raise a red flag even though am the principal applicant.

2. Besides will I include educational activities since i had my masters Degree Within the 10 years requested.

Thank you all for making this platform educative and instructive.

Check the figure you put as money you will be going to Canada with. Compare with the requirement for the size of your family and make sure it is slightly higher or at par.

You need to update the part where you were asked how much you would be bringing to Canada. In my case, tho I already got ITA, I added a few thousands to the original required funds for my family.

So, just make sure you have a figure that is at par or higher than the new required amount applicable to you.

Good afternoon people,

You need fill the addresses of everywhere you have ever lived. Hotel addresses are not necessary as they are not residential. While on holiday in a hotel or for whatever reason, you still have your residence.

Whichever comes first - 10 years ago or from our 18th birthday... They need to know the addresses of where you have lived. If it's your father's house till you moved abroad, that's fine.

Hope this helps...

esosa4real:
@vcole @40manlappy @dupsyshoo @fusion23

i have a question regarding my Post ITA form. I have been taking time to fill it but as explanatory as it is, i don't get some aspects especially the sections that require 10years history...na wa

1. In Address History (under Contact details): it asks the following:

Provide all of the addresses where Esosa XXXX has lived in the past ten years or since esosa's 18th birthday, whichever is most recent. Do not leave any gaps..

So am i to fill all addresses i have lived in including exact addresses i stayed temporarily in other countries during vacation. I am just seeing conflicting reports on different forums. Some say only give address of where you stayed >6months, some say even if less than months, some even suggest us to include hotel address details (really?)

Please yall, share your ideas on how you did yours and clues to handle this sections including personal and travel hx.
Thanks

Payslips are not a must, but could be essential as he/she said. If you can get it conveniently, pls do...

temitope06:

Payslips are not an absolute must, on CIC website it says payslips if available. The main requirement is the reference letter containing all the info they require. They can decide to verify at their own discretion.

Use this link to calculate your score: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

In some cases, your score might be high a enough for an ITA without you spouse's ECA nor IELTS, which makes it unnecessary. The best way to find out is to use the link to calculate your score either way and then share your scores here and we can advise. The most recent cut off is 447 and could most likely reduce further.

bigheadday:

@Optionese.. Thank you for your response. Please how do you mean by "not necessary"? Won't her score be taking into consideration when calculating my score with the CRS? Please guide me as I intend to register her for the April IELTS exam but if her score is not taking into consideration so I won't have to waste the money. Thank you...

With regards to ECA, it's advisable to start right now, as it may take while to get sorted. You don't lose anything by starting right now.

bigheadday:

@Oogwaye1..Thank you so much for your response. I guess I will have to register for my spouse so she can take the exam in April to help boost our chances. As for the education qualification, we both have BSc. Hope this also help in increasing our CRS.

Please when is it advisable I contact WES for the ECA? Your input is highly appreciated. Thank you

It was my wife's school and it was not Unilag... Not sure what the process is there, but if you can get a contact in house and be persistent especially when you notice on WES website that they need more info from you school, you should be able to sort it out on time.

All the best!
