Honeyjoel:And you were probably 12 when they did. That was how much i bought mine. Just because you were young then doesn't mean it did not happen. |
I think it should be the other way around. It should be what the president should expect from the average nigerian. Remember change is not one sided. Nigerians should learn to be disciplined, honest, and truthful. They should learn not to litter, avoid jungle justice, giving or taking bribes. They should learn to stand for what is right and then maybe, just maybe, the change will begin. |
chiedu7:Bro's; stop commenting on things you know nothing about. Yes, Obama is a m.oron, but you also have to understand that the whites in America don't like him, and will say anything to discredit him, especially on Fox. In my opinion he is too liberal, even for the democratic party, which makes a lot of people uncomfortable. I used to be a democrat, but after witnessing the nonsense social policies of his, i am now a republican through and through. He does not hate christians; he is just a clueless re.tard. |
Obiagelli:I seriously disagree with that quote. To rebuild the economy requires trust in the private sector and free enterprise. Minimal involvement is what is required from government. Let the market flow natural. Big government is what is killing Nigeria, which is why everyone wants in on politics. All Government needs to do is provide the enabling environment, road, security, power etc and the rest will take care of itself. |
The OP is a 12 year old Id.iot. Why? Only a 12 year old girl would say yes to marriage when she does not know what she actually wants. |
@OP. As far as i know, the institution is a private RELIGIOUS university. This means if you don't like their RELIGIOUS rules don't attend. |
klem93:Really? ![]() |
MuguliciousMUGU:And 102 Nairalanders liked this post. This shows the state of the mental acumen of the average Nairalander. |
ADD: armed robbers, police check points, area boys, no power supply, corruption, bad roads, etc |
He probably does both. |
Ovamboland:Ok. Lets analyze this intelligently. What is different about this election compared to previous elections? absolutely nothing. There have been assassinations, thugery, election malpractices, resources designated for the elections malfunctioning, participants hailing insults and threats to each other, etc. You are the one refusing to face reality and facts. You think patriotism and false hope are enough to get Nigerians out of the abyss they are in at the moment? More radical measures need to be employed to make the leadership come to terms with the wrongs they are inflicting on the populace. for example, boycotting the voting process. When enough people do that, then the revolution might begin. All you are doing at the moment is "continuation" of the same crap. And the "entire electoral process and rule of law" as you put it does not exist in Nigeria. |
Ovamboland:ok now. It's almost time. We'll see who lives in a deluded world and who doesn't. |
wakacome:The bolded is funny. As if life could get any worse in Nigeria. The bolded illustrates how, many Nigerian's consider the present situation in the country as normal. |
I'm still waiting for the punch line. . . . . . . |
Nigerians can be dense sometimes. You actually believe PDP will let buhari win. Normal thinking Nigerians know PDP will win at all cost. Nigeria is too corrupt to let anything else happen. |
OkunrinMeta:Don't get me wrong. As you might have guessed from my initial post, i neither support jonathan or buhari. And my first choice would be to not vote. But, like i have pointed out, unless i absolutely have to vote, i would vote for a safe bet. Also, talking about change, Nigerians wanted change when Obasanjo was hand picked; look at what happened. America wanted change when they voted Obama into office. We are biting our finger in regret. Change does not always mean good. Buhari is a potential religious fanatic, and from his utterances in the past, i would not touch him with a 10 foot poll. P.s your post is funny. Talking about eating crap long enough it begins to taste nice. That's rich, coming from a Nigerian living in Nigeria. |
OkunrinMeta:I'd rather chose neither. Or if i absolutely have to, the devil you know is way better than the angel you don't know. |
Here's the way i see it. Nigerians are stuck between a rock and the deep blue sea. First you have a potential islamic radical who may decide to impose islamic rule by hook or crook. His military credentials does not flatter him either. What with the atrocities he committed while in power. Then you have a useless sitting president who is as dumb as a rock. He probably is a safe bet considering he is predictable. He did nothing in his previous four years and most likely do nothing if he wins again. At least he is not going to spring any surprises. Hmmmm.......decisions, decisions. |

And.nd the culprits will never be caught. No one will ever know what really happened. Not that there are no crimes in normal societies. "the key word being 'normal'" but, at least there are high chances that there will be an investigation and the criminals will most likely be caught. Which in turn reduces the crime rate. You have to plan and think hard and long before committing crimes in developed societies. Not in Nigeria though. Criminals just wake up, decide they are short of cash, walk into a bank and take it. In Nigeria, you decide you don't like someone and you want them dead; you can make that happen and go scott free. Nigeria really is a lawless land. |

scribble:You mean "dumb Nigerians deserve to know" because only the the retarded ones will believe this crap. |
Nigerians and their stupidity. Its obvious some where disembarking. It must have been a connecting flight or their was a delay. If one has to explain this then you have to wonder about the intellect and deducting skills of the average Nigerian. |
JustCalMeDBoss:Seriously? Are you ret.arted? never mind. Don't answer that. It's obvious. |
And one idio.t opened a topic on Nairaland giving 10 reasons why she wanted to move back to Nigeria from the states. If this isn't enough reason not to, i wonder what is. |

There is a difference between freedom of speech and stupidity and this is definitely not freedom of speech. So, it must be the latter. |
