Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Adeboye's 70th Birthday: Drop A Birthday Message! by bong4(m): 12:10pm On Feb 29, 2012
Na wa for some people oh!! They said send birthday wishes some they quote scripture why birthdays should not be celebrated. Well if you are allergic to celebration of life then i guess you wont mind always celebrating deaths. If you've got nothing to celebrate personally, join others and thank God.

Yesterday was my birthday and i must say it was a BOMB!!! It is not easy escaping February 29.

Happy Birthday Sir.
EventsMtn Project Fame Or Nigeria Idols, Which Do You Prefer? by bong4(op): 12:36am On Feb 27, 2012
Havine watched the just concluded MTN project fame won by Monica and the on going Nigerian Idols, i am prompted to ask which is better than the other?

Personally i prefer MTN Project fame cos of the training the contestants had and the consistency in the whole thing. Nigeria Idols is just there, i hardly feel the songs which are rendered too fast for my liking.

So Nairalanders, between the two, Which is your prefered choicehuh?
Car TalkMy End Of Discussion Is Smoking by bong4(op): 8:50pm On Feb 20, 2012
Good Evening all, i have this 2003/ 2004 EOD gotten from Cotonou in 2011. Just last week i discovered that it now brings out white smoke with a cracking sound. Coupled with the fact that it does not fire as before.

The mechanics i have visited keep saying it has an aluminium engine ( i don not understand that) and i have to change the engine since if i try to fix the problem it might come up again

Please those who are vast in honda engines should please advise me properly.

Thanks.

In 1993, an entire Zambian generation of players died in a plane crash off the coast of Gabon. Yesterday they came back to that same country in the form of a younger generation to claim the same title they were pursuing. They kept faith with destiny and withthe coach who has been with them close to 4 years. The Ivorians had the best team in the competition and conceded no goal throughout the competition in 90 minutes duration but destiny was with the Zambians. Congrats Chipolopolo.

ambyzown:
I use a nissan maxima 2001 model and this is what you need to do.
Remove your car's thermostat and water control valve ASAP. I had the same problem and had both removed, now, my engine temperature never exceeds 94oC
However, before you do that, confirm that:
1. Your temperature sensor is not playing tricks on you.
2. Your reserve tank is not overflowing (indicating a deteriorated head gasket)
3. Your radiator cap is working properly
For more issues on your maxima, visit my thread at https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-865425.0.html#msg10144622
Did you say 94 degress. ahh when my own pass 45 degrees, i am already panicking. please what is the best temperature level for a vehicle, ac or no ac
SportsRe: Eguavoen To Be Sacked After U-23's Match Today by bong4(m): 4:03pm On Dec 02, 2011
Prior to this competition, Nigerians never had the oportunity to assess this team. instead of NFF using them to play Botswana and Zambia, they went ahead and used super chickens. They would have used john Obuh's flying eagles for this qualifier nstead of this retarded team. But it seems the bad luck in Nigeria football is a reflection of the failure in the larger society

Christianity EtcRe: I Am Tired Of Going To Church by bong4(m): 10:29am On Nov 11, 2011
@poster As much as i try to understand your frustration at churches, it is not an excuse not to go to any one.
I recommend Bro Gbile Akani's books and messages to any one who needs and does not shy away from the hard and undiluted Word of God you may not find in many churches. I am not a member of his church as he does not even emphasize church but listening to his messages and reading his books keeps me on track.

You can lay your hands on some:
1. Dignity of Manhood (Highly recommended)
2. Becoming like Jesus
3. When the Heavens are closed
4. No more two (married couples)

@poster, you can send your email, phone number and address details to okon4goodnews@yahoo.com, i just may get some across to you.
God bless you

SportsRe: Samson Siasia Sacked. Next Super Eagles Coach To Be Chosen Next Week by bong4(m): 7:47pm On Oct 29, 2011
Hmm na wao oh!!! I prefer a disciplined Eagles to an over bloated set of average players. Osaze stood face to face with the goal keeper and all he did was to throw the ball to the thin air. You blame the coach. He went back to his club with injury and scored a goal. Mikel is saying that Nigeria not going to the Nations cup is a blessing in disguise since it will allow him focus on his club. I think those players connived to do this to Siasia and that is where i have a problem with Siasia. He would have gone for a totally new set of players instead of settling the same set of lethargic guys that do nothing but play hypertension football for Nigeria. If you bring Keshi, then we are going back to the old era. What Nigeria needs now is a coach that will give us a break from the old block. The present Super Eagles team should be scrapped from enteama to mikel to osaze, everyone of them should be left out to focus on their club.

Foreign AffairsFrom "hero" To Villian - The Fall Of Gaddafi: Pictures Might Be Scary! by bong4(op): 3:43pm On Oct 25, 2011
What is in this life that leaders think they own the world once they get into power. The story of Gaddafi should tell all that as humans we are just a little above animals and that life can be taken away at any point in time.
The pictures accompanying this link might be scary to some but the lessons of life should not be thrown away.

Why are peole this selfish and greedy, you get an information on a job placement, you keep it to yourself and then you are now asking for tips on the interview. WHY? Circulate the information whenever the job placement is out so others can apply too. That is what nairaland stands for - INFORMATION SHARING.

Nairaland GeneralWho Can Remember The Crying Child Picture Of The 80's by bong4(op): 11:25am On Oct 23, 2011
Hello Nairalanders, i was discussing with my wife on the need to get a teddy bear for our little boy then it came to my mind when in the late 80's while growing up, there was this picture of a little boy crying with torn clothes on and with fire burning at the background. The story went that whenever and wherever the pictures falls down and break the area catches fire (It was even on network news). People had to throw their's away. We even begged our dad to do same but he refused. Funny enough i do not know how the picture disaapeared from the house. Can anyone recall having such a picture while growing up.
SportsRe: NFF Decides Siasia’s Fate On Thursday by bong4(m): 4:29pm On Oct 11, 2011
If you like sack Siasia and hire Ferguson, as far as i am concern any coach you bring and he invites the likes of mikel, osaze, yobo, enyeama you will still get the same result-FAILURE cos these guys are lethargic and have pass the level of commitment to Nigeria football. It is better we do away with the whole team and give the job to John Obuh to bring in new eagles with purposeful football or maintain Siasia and tell him to get us a new and vibrant team. The olympic eagles is talented but with Eguavoen as the coach i dont think they will go far but one on one the olympic eagles is better than super eagles, but the under 20 is better and more committed than the super eagles and should form the bulk of the new super eagles.
SportsRe: Osaze Blames TB Joshua's Prediction For Super Eagles Nations Cup Exit by bong4(m): 2:01pm On Oct 09, 2011
At least from the post, Osaze said, " the coach did his best but we the players messed up." Thatteam is not good and should be scrapped. any coach using those set of players is not ready to succeed. I hope Siasia learns his lessons. Go and get your WAFU cup home eagles or John Obuh should be given the job. we are tired of hypertension induced football fro the Super Eagles.
SportsRe: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by bong4(m): 1:42pm On Oct 09, 2011
as long as i am concern and will keep saying it, even if you bring Mourinho and whatever to coach the super eagles, the present crop of players will take u no where. they are simply over bloated and over hyped. I get sick when i hear of calls for aiyegbeni, osaze, martins, enyeama, THEY ARE NOT GOOD. Enyeama and co would not have done better if fielded. Siasia should work with committed home based, after all they played better during the WAFU cup. If he decides to continue with the present crop of eagles THEN I AM SORRY FOR, HE WILL JUST ACHIEVE A LITTLE BETTER THAN AMODU AND EGUAVOEN who give uus heart attack induced football.
For now the best coach is JOHN OBUH who gives us better wing play and commitment from players than all these over pampered foreign based. Imagine we are even behing Burkina Faso on FIFA ranking. BY THE WAY ARE WE STILL PLAYING GHANA on tuesday?
SportsRe: AFCON Qualifier: Nigeria Vs Guinea Conakry (2 - 2) On 8th October 2011 by bong4(m): 8:54pm On Oct 08, 2011
As long as i am concern the present crop of super eagles is over bloated and over hyped. i love siasai as a coach but i am disappointed that he stucked with those guys whose allegiance is to their clubs. we should do away with the present crop of foreign rubbish and look in wards for players that have the zeal to succeed and give Nigerians a better playing style. The Eagles over time are so dull on the field that they make me sleep. No winger, no midfielder, na so so pass to me - pass to me. funny enough the passes goes to the back until the keeper gets it and passes again. Is that football? I wish John Obuh gets the Super Eagles job some day and give us exciting football, instead of this heart breaking style of the present crop. I am absolutely disappointed though this this result and performance was expected.

https://celebgist.com/images/stories/ekubo_img.jpg
After many weeks of stiff competition between 10 families, five of them eventually made it to the final - the five being the Owolabi, Utogo, Ekubo, Ngwu and Dare families.
At the grand finale held tonight, Saturday September 24, 2011, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, the Ekubo family was announced as the winner of the fifth edition of the excitement-filled competition.

The grand finale kicked off with the Owolabi family opening the stage with their performance, followed by the Utogo family, while the Ekubos impressively choreographed the popular "Oloro Oko " song by Infinity. The Ngwus scattered the stage with Terry G's "Akpako" while the Dares rocked with Kabo Snoop's "Windeck."
Before the big announcement, all the families in turn performed to one Hip-hop song each followed by an electric performance by the Judges - the performance which many would describe as awesome.

The show host, Kemi Adetiba finally broke the biggest news of the night after the results were collated. Alas! The Ekubos are the champions. They were presented the grand prize - a five million naira cheque and a brand new SUV.
The Utogos came third while the Dares made the second position
